CHILDE’s empty gaze lands on you and doesn’t let you leave it’s sight as soon as you walk through the door. You sense an air of displeasure surrounding your boyfriend as he leans back on the wall, arms crossed over his chest with his eyes fixtated on you. You haven’t done anything wrong, so why do you feel like a deer caught in headlights?

“I just went out with some friends…?” You aren’t sure of the source of his inexplicable anger, but you decide it’d be best not to trigger it.

“They treated me to some street food, and that was it, really…” It’s hard to elaborate further with the harbinger keeping completely silent, and his gaze feels like it’s piercing you.

He echoes a word that seems to have sparked his interest. “‘They?’” “Uhm- you know, Xingqiu, Chongyun, and Xiangling…”

Unconsciously, you let a brief smile cross your face at the mention of your good friends’ names, remembering the lively bustle of Liyue Harbor and the many laughs shared between the four of you.

It’s a sight that doesn’t escape Childe’s keen eye. Instantly, he’s three steps closer, with your chin raised in his gloved hand. “Wipe that smile off of your face, goddamnit.” He speaks through gritted teeth, though his harsh voice is obscured by the way his words come out as a soft hiss. His brows are furrowed, eyes flashing with annoyance as he pauses and takes in a deep breath.

“Wh…what’s with you? Don’t do those things so suddenly!” You yelp, attempting to move away only for your back to hit the wall.

The male only lets out a breathy laugh. “Ah, honestly, I don’t know what I’m doing either…” He’s much more reserved now, but you know him well enough to be aware of how he’s silently seething under the surface. “Archons, you’re a troublesome thing, aren’t you? To think affection would do such a thing to me… hah, what a thrill!” He glances up long enough for you to catch his twisted expression, eyes blown and a smile spreading across his face. “Jealousy, hm? Hahaha, oh how the troops would ridicule me if they knew!” He stops to take in a breath, his chest heaving up and down erratically. What a fool you’ve made me, darling.”

“Wh-What?” He’s moving closer, too close, his hot breath fanning your face.

“Look at me, you’ve made me a pliable idiot under your touch, haven’t you? Don’t even think about leaving now.”

“You don’t have to worry, all I’ll do is just make sure that pretty little head if yours doesn’t think about anything except me only.” ♡

“A friend, you say?”

DOTTORE has a quizzical look about him, as it’s rather odd how much amusement his crimson eyes hold. “Hmm, is that so?”

“Yes…?” You don’t know what has come over your boyfriend at the moment, but he ponders your words as if they hold a different meaning - which, they don’t. Something about the way he stares at you makes you feel like the guilty party… but you haven’t done anything wrong, have you?

“I need a name.” He whips out a small notebook out of seemingly nowhere, a pen also appearing in his hand.

“Oh, uhm-“ You momentarily pause, hesitant as you pictured the familiar fox-eared forest ranger. “He’s not exactly fond of the Fatui…”

The male lets out a hum, smile only spreading wider. “All the better. Explain him. Thoroughly.”

You frown. “Why are you so fixated on-“

You swallow your words as they’re interrupted by a sound that’s more akin to a bark than a  laugh. “Ahhh, I knew giving you my hand would be beneficial, just look how delightfully humorous you are!” He strides closer, one step, then another, effortlessly closing the space between the two of you. You can feel his red gaze through where it’s obstructed from the mask he always dons, and you have a feeling that his eyes are trained toward your every move. “Do you truly mean to say that I am not to ask of this ‘friend’ of yours?”

“It shouldn’t be of your concern…”

“Oh, but it is.” Dottore does what looks like a shrug, an action you certainly wouldn’t put past him. “Do I not have the right to monitor my partner’s actions? Who knows,” He steps even closer, his arms positioned in either side of you. “What kind of things you might be doing with this ‘friend’ of yours?”

“Dottore, what you’re implying right now is-!”

“My name sounds good in your mouth. You should say it more often.” Even in such a situation, he won’t stop his teasing mannerisms. “Ah, but perhaps you say his name much more often, don’t you?”

The words escape your mouth before you can halt them: “Tighnari isn’t!-“

“Tighnari, you said?” Dottore lets out a low chuckle, his voice giving way to his definite ecstasy. “Ah, so that’s his name? I’ll be sure to remember it. Hm, who knows, perhaps he’d make a wonderful subject of mine?”

“Why- Why are you doing this??”

“Isn’t it obvious, darling?” He’s shifted closer once more, and the very air you breathe feels suffocating. “I desire for you, and only you. Ahhhahah, you have me wrapped around your finger, don't you? Carve up my heart for all it matters, just be mine.” His fingers find his way around your throat, and it’s even harder to inhale than before. Dizzying black spots begin to grow larger, casting the edges of your vision into to darkness. “But in order for to us to live happily, together, I’ll have to make sure of things first… and first on the list…” A low growl makes its way out of his throat. “I’ll just need to make sure there won’t be any lasting regrets for you, hm? Just a few dead here and there, who’s really going to notice? After all…”

“I can’t have you running from my grasp, can I?” ♡

“Why didn’t you tell me that you’d be going out tonight?”

SCARAMOUCHE’s scornful glare is enough to make you cower where you stand in front of the door to his private quarters. His significantly short stature made it rather difficult for him to tower over you, but the deathly aura that surrounded the male was already more than enough.

“My apologies, sir. I was not aware that it was mandatory to inform you of my departure.” You give him a swift bow, casting your eyes to the floor. Several possibilities ran through your head. Perhaps he’d just settle for a rather harsh scolding, or maybe a social probation. Either way, a small part of you stirred in annoyance at your superior’s words. Nowhere in the trainee handbook had such a rule been written! You had heard the not quite so savory rumors of the 6th Harbinger numerous times before, and while they had never really proved to be a significant problem, the reason they had even surfaced in the first place was beginning to dawn on you.

“Where?” He raises his hand, a sign to lift your head. He’s being rather gracious today…? Perhaps he had been in a good mood - that is, until you soured it.

“I’m sorry, sir?”

“Where did you go?” There’s clear frustration in his tone for having to repeat himself.

“To the nearest marketplace. The soldiers in the east quadrant needed more supplies.”

“And you complied? You let them just push you around like that?

“Respectfully, sir, if I hadn’t, they would’ve done the same and pestered someone else. There was no task assigned to us-”

“Us?”

“I and another lieutenant, sir. He agreed to help me because-”

“Did I grant you the right to go with that scum?” It startles you, how much venom lies in his words. Posture stiffening, you manage to glance up, only to meet his burning violet gaze.

“Sir, I don’t underst-”

“Of course you don’t understand.” Something seems to suddenly come over the harbinger as he doubles over in his signature maniacal laughter. “You never understand, do you??”

You take a step back, only for your heel to hit the wall behind you. “Lord Scaramouche…?” For every quickened breath you take, he sways an inch closer.

“I’ve been sending you so many signs, doing nearly everything in my power to just make it so my affection would get through to that dense head of yours, but no, you still remain ignorant, ignorant for how much I’m willing to do for you! Anything and everything, no matter where and what. If it means words of praise from your mouth and your warmth touch, then any task is worth fulfilling.” The malice in his eyes dims slightly as he closes them, smiling at you brightly as he slides his hand into yours. His hand is cool, his skin smooth and unblemished, yet rigidly unnatural, the sharp angles of his joints proof of the way he was crafted into this world. A being… incapable of love…? No, the heartless being in front of you was certainly capable, and far too deeply immersed in the feeling. His lips brush against yours, yet darken dangerously when you shift your head away as an act of avoidance.

“Don’t be like that, not after all the trouble I’ve went through, just to ensure that you’ll finally be in my arms…” There’s a flash of light, a tendril of purple lightning, and all of a sudden, your limbs feel weak. You don’t know when you’ve collapsed onto the floor, or when you’ve been nestled into Lord Scaramouche’s arms, but you’re able to make out his words through the fog in your mind.

“Ah? It seems that the solution I slipped into your dinner proved to be quite potent. It’s a shame you won’t be seeing more of it, but alas, I can’t possibly keep you here any longer. Not when there are countless of those dogs salivating over the thought of you, those wretched vermin…” Sensation in your fingers, his lips against the back of your hand as he kisses it gently.

“There won’t be any need to worry anymore, darling. I’ll be all that you need.” ♡

(from this fic) hm not necessarily a part 2 cuz i’m too lazy to do one, but here’s a few hcs!

your wedding ceremony’s a small affair consisting of you and xiao, lumine, hu tao, zhongli, paimon, your close friends (xingqiu, chongyun, xiangling, etc.), aaaand a few (re: a lot) of adepti who got curious when they heard that the conqueror of demons was getting married to a mortal.

your wedding’s probably one of the most blessed ones out there simply because of the sheer amount of adepti that attended, which means they had to give a compulsory wedding gift. they all gave various things which all ultimately served as a trinket to ward off evil and bring prosperity.

also, apparently lumine’s got a few scores to settle with some of them because she unwittingly trespassed and stole from their domains, whoops. it’s only thanks to the kind funeral consultant that everything was resolved peacefully. the wedding’s a shitshow and a half, but the important thing is that you and xiao were lawfully wedded by the end of it. the only problem you really had was if zhongli the consultant was qualified to officiate the wedding. xiao assured you multiple times that he is, trust me, there is no one more fit for it than rex—i mean, zhongli.

nothing much really changes except for the fact xiao is a little embarrassed at the revelation that your relationship was basically one sided until hu tao of all people spilled the beans to you. you do let him sleep in your bed without needing permission anymore, which you had to explain to him multiple times that since you’re married now, what’s yours is his, which means he doesn’t need to wake you up at midnight just to ask if he can lay down beside you.

lumine is, as always, the one who keeps pushing you two together and keeps taking credit for being your so called matchmaker. as a self proclaimed love guru, she’s your go-to when you need advice regarding married life, but after hearing various suggestions like pretending to drown so he can save you and falling off cliffs to experience that ‘damsel in distress and white knight feeling’, you’ve decided that lumine should be banned from making romantic advices.

it’s not too bad—being married, that is. it’s pretty much the same as when you thought xiao was just a roommate. you still do the chores together, he still cooks dinner for you, the two of you still argue on who gets to have the last piece of chocolate on a packet (he always lets you win).

except, if your home was full of flowers back then, now it’s fit to burst with the amount xiao showers you with. he’ll come home from doing whatever adepti stuff he does with arms full of different kinds of flowers. it once got to the point where a random person entered your house, thinking it was a flower shop only to be met with a very grumpy adeptus asking what business they have on his home.

suffice to say, you told him to limit the flower giving to once a week. if only so you won’t have to resort to using your bathtub as a vase for them.

✨ Chongyun ✨

"Geez Name, slow down or you'll choke!" Xiangling laughs

"Sorry, it's just if I don't make it to this event in time they're not going to let me enter. I didn't realize how late it was." You gulp down your water, catching Chongyun's concerned eyes in your peripheral vision.

"Yes but if you don't eat a bit slower you're not going to be able to enter for other reasons." Xingqiu chuckles, reaching out to grab your glass before it can fall off the table and shatter.

You take one more bite, wiping the side of your mouth and sighing. "I'm so sorry I can't stay longer. Really I love hanging out with you guys so much but now I have to run." You quickly side hug Xingqiu and Xiangling, pressing a quick kiss to Chongyun's cheek as you trot back over to grab your bag.

"We're rooting for your victory!" Xingqiu chimes up

"Yes, do your best!" Xiangling bounces with two thumbs up.

"I'll be over later to see how it went. I know you'll do great. Love you."

The entire room falls silent all at once and you cartoonishly whip your entire body around. Mouth wide as you stare at your boyfriend. Xiangling being the first to break the silence as Chongyun stood statuesque.

"Wait was that!" She gasps loudly, scaring Gouba on the floor beside her.

"The first, I love you?" Xingqiu finishes

Chongyun slowly sank back into his seat, searching frantically for literally any words as Xingqiu and Xiangling, ooooo'd beside him. "Popsicle, I need my-"

You'd turned in your stride, lowering yourself to his level with one arm draped around his shoulder. "I love you, Yun Yun." With another quick kiss to his cheek.

As you leave the awwwwing only amplifies. It's fine whatever else happens you know you'll hear all of it from Xiangling.

✨ Mika ✨

You've kind of watched him ease into a relationship with you. Slowly but surely your kisses get a little longer. He's less stiff when he hugs you. He even manages to look you in the eyes when he brings you baskets of fruit, or doodles he made of places around Mondstadt, the occasional flowers he picked coming from a less shaky hand.

And after some time you'd found your relationship had lasted six and a half months. Unlike previous encounters of this type Mika held your cheek with one hand, his book in the other as you gave him a good bye kiss outside the city gates.

"Just be careful, alright?" Your forehead bumps against his pushing his head up because you know he'll break eye contact. His cheeks already blooming that all too familiar pink.

"You don't have to worry too much. I'll come back much quicker this time and we'll be back together in no time."

Your smile is warm, leaning in a bit closer to press a kiss to the tip of his nose. Giggling a bit when his blush deepens. "You promised so.. hurry back." Now you step away, just a small arms length to properly see him.

He rubs the back of his head with a shy hand. "I'll see you later. I love you."

He stops abruptly in his stride. Face flushing with color so deep you can see it shooting down his neck. You also stop in your turn and when you look at him with wide eyes he jolts his head away from your sight.

You can see it in the way he raises his heel that he's gonna dash off, you quickly latch onto his wrist tugging him back with a laugh.

"I love you too, Mika."

You're not quite sure how long you stand there just rocking him and yourself back and forth but you're pretty sure he's behind schedule now.

✨ Shenhe ✨

You couldn't help but smile as you watched Shenhe snack on a bushel of Violetgrass flowers. She didn't even grimace. But maybe at this point in your relationship it shouldn't surprise you. Though technically it didn't, you just watched on with soft lingering glances.

"What's wrong?" Shenhe asks as she makes eye contact with you.

"Hm? Nothing."

"You were staring quite a bit. Did you want some of my flowers?"

"It was an admiration stare." You reply with a smile. She merely hums returning to her meal. Though it doesn't take long for her to chime up again,

"You've been doing that more frequently as of recent. Staring I mean. Is there anything in particular you wish to convey with your long glances?"

You blink upwards towards the sky, watching the clouds slowly roll along above the two of you. The clear blue setting your mind at ease. "Not really, you're just beautiful. I feel lucky is all."

Her gulp is loud and when you peek over at her you can see her hand placed on her chest. The flowers in her lap discarded as she slowly wraps the last of the contents up and places them beside her. You blink a bit confused but you don't get the chance to speak as she shifts atop the rock she's sat on to face you.

"I'm not sure even now after being by your side like I have that I completely understand romantic feelings or even romantic relationships as a whole. Though I find myself drawn in to your presence. About Xinyan: I managed to catch one of Xinyan's performances when I had some free time after work. There weren’t many people in the audience, but her music was so energetic it completely made up for the quieter atmosphere. Originally, I was thinking about asking her to join our lion dance troupe as a drummer, but I’m glad to hear she's made a name for herself since then! I should properly introduce myself sometime!

About Zhongli: He once asked me whether I've heard about the legend of the solitary suanni after one of Iron Tongue Tian's stories. When I said yes, he launched into a really detailed discussion of Chenyu Vale's local belief system, and even told me some stories I haven't heard about a carp adeptus. It's amazing that he has so much knowledge on all sorts of folklore, as a funeral consultant no less!

Summary: Chongyun gets jealous of Gaming.

“My dear Chongyun, won’t you take my side?”

“Xingqiu, it’s not fair to ask Chongyun when you two are dating. It’s obvious that he will side with you.”

Chongyun looked between Xingqiu and Gaming, uncertain of how he should answer. The waitress appeared as lost with what to do as he was. Both Xingqiu and Gaming insisted on paying for the meal. He had never seen such a polite argument where neither of them raised their voice. Yet, he doubted that either would relent to the other. He searched for a compromise that wouldn’t offend Xingqiu or Gaming.

“We still haven’t finished our desert yet. We don’t need to fret over the bill yet. Let’s enjoy the meal since it’s not often we can eat dimsum together.” Chongyun slid his share of ma lai gao towards Xingiu. He knew that he liked baked goods like the sponge cake. Despite being given an array of luxury dishes since his childhood, Xingqiu preferred simple flavours like seafood.

The table settled into a comfortable conversation and the waitress let out a subtle, relieved breath. Chongyun knew that the topic of the bill would inadvertently repeat itself. He stood from the table and said: “I want to order noodles for Auntie Shenhe. I’m going to speak with the chef and ask him if they have the ingredients. I’ll be right back.”

When he started to leave, he noticed how Xingqiu’s brows furrowed. He assumed that he wanted to order another dish. Chongyun leaned over Xingqiu and lightly brushed a stray crumb from the corner of his lips. “I’ll order another portion of ma lai gao for you.”

A bright blush rose onto Xingqiu’s cheeks in time with his touch but Chongyun was oblivious to it. While he was the one to play innocent pranks on Chongyun and tease him, Xingqiu would say that he was worse. They had been friends for years and it was natural for them to be close with each other. Chongyun would casually be affectionate with him and not notice how it made Xingqiu’s heart race.

Chongyun walked to the host stand. He planned to pay for the table so Xingqiu and Gaming couldn’t argue about the bill again. He looked over his shoulder to the table to check that they were distracted. They were too far for him to hear their discussion. He assumed that they were talking about tea since Gaming helped escort his family’s goods to Chenyu Vale. Then, Gaming said something that made Xingqiu’s face turn red.

The two were only friends but a hint of jealousy stirred within Chongyun. Gaming was the opposite of himself. He was easygoing and confident in himself. Moreover, he was able to be himself without having to worry about his yin and yang energy. Chongyun had an excess of yang energy and it was harder for him to keep his qi balanced. He needed to control his emotions and avoid certain things. Xingqiu was supportive of him but there were times Chongyun worried it would affect their relationship.

He forced the self-conscious doubts from his mind and reassured himself that Xingqiu loved him. He turned back to Heli and took out his coin pouch. “Can you have noodles and three desserts to-go? I will pay for everything now—”

“I knew it!” Xingqiu’s sharp tone startled Chongyun. Behind him, Xingqiu stood with a pout and his arms crossed. He tried to reach around him and take the coin pouch from his hand. Chongyun lifted it out of his reach. “I was suspicious when you said that you were going to order food for Shenhe. She works at Xiangling restaurant so Shenhe gets free meals. You’re trying to pay when I already offered to do so.”

“It looks like Chongyun has outsmarted us and he’s the winner of this round.” Gaming said with a light laugh. His charismatic smile helped lighten the atmosphere before it could become an argument. He patted Xingqiu’s shoulders a few times before he gently pulled him back. It was a friendly gesture yet jealousy once more needled him. “Let’s go outside and we can argue who gets to pay next time.”

“It’s not often that we’re able to eat together like this.” Xingqiu relented. “Meet you outside, Yun.”

“I’ll walk you home, Xingqiu.” He offered and held out his hand to him. The Feiyunn estate was a short walk from the restaurant and someone as strong as Xingqiu could defend himself. Chongyun wanted the excuse to spend more time with him. They were always by each other’s side unless their job or a commission called for them to leave Liyue Harbour. Despite that, he took every chance he could to simply be by his side. There were times he worried that his selfish wish would bother Xingqiu.

Xingqiu had the same wish. He reached past his hand and hugged Chongyun’s arm. With a light tug, he pulled him into the shadow beneath the canopy where they had more privacy. He wanted to be openly affectionate with Chongyun and tease him until he became flustered. But he had to be mindful of his servants seeing them.

“I ate more than I usually would. It’s hard to refuse Gaming when he pushes a new dish in front of me. How about I sneak you into my room so we can spar? It’ll help me burn off the meal.” Xingqiu’s giggle appeared innocent but Chongyun could see the mischievous gleam in his gold eyes. He was taught to be a proper son and representative of his family. He felt more free with Chongyun.

“Wouldn’t it be dangerous to practise our swordsmanship in your room? We might damage your books and the furniture. The servants will overhear as well.” Chongyun didn’t understand why Xingqiu burst into laughter. He said: “There’s no need to be secretive. Your family knows that we’re dating. Their only condition is that we can’t let it affect your family’s business.”

“I didn’t mean that we should ‘spar’ in that way, my dear.” He said with a small giggle. “We can take a detour to the garden and train there. I’m in no rush to return home and there’s nothing that requires my immediate attention at the guild.”

Immediately after he nodded, Xingqiu took Chongyun to the garden behind his manor. They slipped past the guards and entered a greenhouse of silkflowers. The soothing scent of the flowers surrounded them and Xingqiu smiled to himself. He trusted that they wouldn’t be interrupted. Silkflowers were delicate and difficult to cultivate so his family only allowed a few people inside.

“It’s obvious that we’re not going to be sparring here.” Chongyun sat next to a bush and carefully cradled a silkflower in his palm. While he wasn’t an expert in flowers, Xingqiu told him about his family’s business. His suspicions were confirmed when Xingqiu slipped the flower from his hand and then sat next to him.

“My father allowed me to oversee a shipment of silkflowers to Chenyu Vale this morning. Of course, he only allowed me to join the caravan because we were short on guards and escorts.” Xingqiu’s lips twisted into a tired smile. As much as he loved his family, his parents could be overprotective. “They tried to dissuade me by saying that Gaming is strong enough to guard our goods but I persisted. I’m a little jealous. Gaming’s work has all the trapping of a chivalric hero.”

Chongyun didn’t know what to say and merely nodded in answer. He worried that he would accidentally reveal how jealous he was if he spoke. It wasn’t because of Xingqiu and Chongyun spending time together. He knew they were just friends.

He wished that he could go on a trip to Chenyu Vale with him. While they would take excursions to Qingce Village, they needed to plan the trip for when they were both free. His work as an exorcist could be unpredictable because he didn’t know where his next commission would take him. If he worked with the Feiyun Guild or the Transport Agency as a guard, he could escort Xingqiu to every corner of Teyvat.

“Yun?” Xingyiu called his name. “You’ve been quiet since this morning. “Is something wrong?”

“No,” He wanted to reassure him but it was impossible for him to lie to him. Chongyun tried to turn away to keep him from seeing the truth. Xingqiu stopped him with a simple touch. He cradled his hand over his cheek and their eyes met.

“Chongyun, I can sense when something’s on your mind. You can talk to me about it. If another person has scammed you or tricked you, I will deal with them.” He admired how trusting Chongyun was and Xingqiu wouldn’t change him for the world. At the same time, he wouldn’t allow anyone to take advantage of him. “So, tell me the person’s name.”

“… It’s me.” He confessed. As embarrassed as he was with his own childish jealousy, he didn’t want to worry Xingqiu by hiding it. Confusion passed over Xingqiu’s face and his frown deepened as Chongyun explained: “Would you be happier with someone like the heroes in martial art novels? They’re free to go on adventures with you because they can take commissions along the way for money. They can try a lot of things with you.”

“I can’t picture myself going on an adventure with anyone other than you, Chongyun. I never saw your constitution as a burden for our relationship. It’s a part of you.” Xingqiu understood Chongyun’s worry underneath his jealousy. He moved closer to him and draped his arms over his strong shoulders. “I like reading novels like that. But, do you remember my favourite story? The Nameless Heroine and the Noble Exorcist.”

“You never told me about that book.”

“Of course, I couldn’t. I read it before you confessed to me. If I told you about the novel, you would realize that I like the book because it’s everything I want with you. A story where the hero and her exorcist can retire happily together. It became harder to tell you about that after we started dating. It’s too corny, isn’t it?”

“No, it sounds perfect.” Chongyun tenderly brushed his bangs from his amber eyes. His fingers trailed over his warm skin until he touched the racing pulse in his neck. The thought of eloping to have a quaint life like the Nameless Heroine and the Noble Exorcist was appealing. However, he wouldn’t change anything about their relationship.

“It might be difficult for you to go guard the caravan with me but there’s something you can help me with. It’s something only you can do.” Xingqiu lifted his wrist to Chongyun’s lips. “The Feiyun Commerce Guild is currently exploring new business opportunities, by adding tea during the fabric-dyeing process to introduce new fragrances. Can you smell the difference?”

Instead of taking his wrist like Xingqiu expected, Chongyun placed his hands on his waist. He pulled him against his body and buried his face into his neck. Xingqiu’s question was meant to tease him and he had pictured Chongyun becoming shy. They needed to be close for him to smell the tea leaves afterall. Yet, it was him who suddenly felt flustered.

He felt his breath against his neck and his heart quickened. The slightest change in Xingqiu caught Chongyun’s attention. He took the hem of his shirt collar between his fingers and examined the fabric’s texture. “Your neck is red. Does the fabric feel uncomfortable on your skin? The Feiyun Commerce Guild sells top quality silk and this new fragrance dye is making the fabric rough. I can’t tell you if your new clothes smell like tea leaves. I just smell silk flowers.”

The floral scent was from more than the garden around them. It was simply Xingqiu. Chongyun always found the scent of silk flowers calming and refreshing because of that. He nestled against his neck and whispered. “I love silk flowers.”

Zhonglumi 'secret relationship'

Xiangling

It’s just typical Liyue gossip. Xiangling hears it all when she’s working in the kitchen, and the flavour of the week changes just as quickly as the menu.

Okay, so she might hope that she’s wrong, especially when she spies the two of them sitting together and enjoying her food. How could she not, when she sees Lumine’s face light up with laughter and the soft smile that the consultant answers her with? There’s a warmth between them that’s undeniable, a friendship built from bonding over the deepest of struggles.

Xiangling is positive that they’re just friends, but that doesn’t mean she can’t hope, right?

Hu Tao

O-ho, Hu Tao just knows that they’re fucking.

Sure, she’s never caught them in the act or anything - Zhongli seemed to be way too stuffy for anything that risqué, but it’s not like she hasn’t seen the signs.

Her consultant’s unusual hours, his spontaneous requests to take leave that sometimes devolved into outright absenteeism. And so what if that’s what he was ‘usually’ like, Hu Tao knows this is different.

Watching the way Zhongli undressed Lumine with his eyes from across the banquet table just confirmed it.

And they probably thought they were being sneaky, ha!

Shenhe

Shenhe was starting to realise how much people talk. Their chatter was never ending, pointless drivel that was loud and suffocating to her senses. She’d gotten used to the whispers and the sidelong glances she received from the residents of Liyue, curiosity getting the better of them as they wondered just who, or what, she was.

But the new rumour had taken everyone by storm. The consultant and the traveller were lovers, they said.

Huh.

Right or wrong, Shenhe would happily teach that consultant a lesson or two if he ever hurt her friend, Cloud Retainer’s warnings be damned.

Xingqiu

It’s like something straight out of a book. Star crossed lovers, destined to meet just before a tumultuous calamity tore them apart. A man blessed with the ability to wield the earth’s powers and a woman who descended from the stars above.

Could there be anything more romantic?

Ah, but he was getting ahead of himself again.

Chongyun would berate him for jumping to conclusions, but Xingqiu knew what he saw.

It could only be love that brought Lumine back to the harbour time and again, and it could only be love that saw Zhongli present her with a flower every time she did.

He was sure of it.

Yun Jin

Yun Jin wasn’t certain, but when she was up on stage and she caught a glimpse of them in the crowd, she let her mind wander for a second and thought, maybe.

Of course, that’s about as far as she got before she focused back on her character. It would be utterly unprofessional to appear absentminded while performing.

Still…

When the show was over, she found herself peaking through the curtains to spy on them as they left. Zhongli’s hand rested lightly on the small of Lumine’s back, his thumb lightly stroking the material of her dress.

And Yun Jin had to bite her lip to stop herself from squealing out loud.

Chongyun It’s not any of his business! It really, really isn’t! And it’s not anyone else's business either!

Besides, it's not like he saw anything, okay?

He definitely didn’t come across Master Zhongli and Lumine together when he had been tailing a demon along the foothills of Jueyun Karst. Nope, not at all.

And he definitely never saw the consultant pressing the traveller up against the trunk of a lone tree.

Nor did he see Lumine’s legs wrapped around Zhongli’s waist.

And he absolutely did. not. hear. anything.

Chongyun felt himself heating up, and frantically prayed he had enough popsicles to cool himself down.

Xiao

Xiao knew that Rex Lap- er, Zhongli was taking every step to adapt to a mortal’s way of life. The prime of the adepti seemed totally at ease with the position he now held within the world, even if it grated Xiao to no end.

But a mortal life meant new experiences. Employment, friendship… even love.

He doesn’t quite understand Zhongli’s reasons, but as he watched them walk towards the inn, the old Archon’s hand resting upon her hip, he could empathise with the desire for human connection.

But either way, he had no desire to confront an overprotective, broody adeptus to ask for answers.

Spring was nearly upon them, and it was hard to deny the scent of their desirous pheromones even from this distance.

Baizhu has multiple sclerosis. He is completely blind in the right eye and wears a brace on his left hand. They often need a cane to help them stabilize themself.

The medicine that Baizhu takes makes his hands incredibly shaky.

Baizhu sometimes becomes nonverbal and Changsheng will help communicate for xem.

Baizhu braids Qiqi’s hair every morning so she can remember what he looks like. 

Baizhu initially took in Qiqi in order to pursue his goals of immortality, but eventually became incredibly attached to her and ended up adopting her. Although Qiqi technically doesn’t need to sleep, he renovated an old guest room in his house to be her bedroom. He took her to the store and let her pick out random things she likes to decorate her room with. She forgets about these things a lot, and gets excited when she sees them (which makes Baizhu super duper happy). 

Half of Changsheng’s enclosure is decorated to look like a tiny human bedroom and the other half is a normal snake enclosure. The cage is huge, so it’s more like two different enclosures. Before Baizhu started taking xyr medicine, xe decorated it with tiny furniture xe bought from Changshun.

Baizhu is an amazing chef. Al makes all of aloes meals aloeself, it’s very therapeutic for al. They have a very restricted diet, so it’s not like they can trust other chefs 100%. It’s just the safest way for al to get the best food.

He also prepares meals for Changsheng (and Qiqi, when she feels like eating).

Although Baizhu isn't in a relationship, Gui has a crush on him.

Baizhu occasionally flirts with Zhongli, but never tries to actually ask him out. He knows that he's Rex Lapis, and also knows that he's gonna die young. He doesn't want him to mourn losing a lover.

They have a pet cat. It's a devon rex named Haoyu. He comforts them when they feel lonely and miss their old friends.

Zhongli has a crush on Baizhu, but doesn't know how to approach it. She's had many mortal lovers, but it always hurts when they go. Because of this, she pushes her feelings away.

Spends a lot of time in shrines, spending most of his mora on offerings to his old friends.

He teaches the kids in Qingce Village how to fight using a polearm. He makes sure to tell them to only use it for self defense. He's surprisingly good with kids.

He talks to the Wanderer (I named him Kunimitsu so that's what I'll be calling him) a lot. He and Kunimitsu bond over having archon parents. They're both very aggressive and train together, which some people misinterpret as them trying to kill each other.

Xiao and Kuni see each other as family. They meet in Lumberpick Village where nobody else is around and just kinda sit there in silence. It's not awkward, despite their...personalities.

Lost his leg when he was younger. He was learning to use his vision and accidentally froze it solid, giving him frostbite all over his leg. They had to get it amputated at the hip, so his entire left leg is a prosthetic.

Because of this, he trained his body to resist the cold. It also helps with his pure yang energy.

He gets hot very easily. His clothes are extremely light, including his little hoodie. In fact, the hoodie is only there so that he doesn't get snow in his hair. It gets wet when it melts, and he hates wet hair.

In fact, wet hair is a huge sensory issue for him. He also hates things like lotion and having a wet face.

Autistic with a special interest in ghosts and other supernatural phenomena. He often rants about it to Xingqiu, who listens patiently to everything he says with a happy smile.

He seems very awkward around Shenhe, but he's not. They're just both very quiet people and prefer to just hang out in silence. If they do talk, they only say a few words.

Hi hi!!! ^^ Aww I'm honored you would re-read my fic! And thank you for asking. My 2-part fics are actually all written in a way that I really see different outcomes depending on the winning option, so not just same plot different lee, or same scenario but with a different quote.

So in this case with the Lyney's Trick fic, I think what I had slightly in mind for each option was:

Childe: Ofc I don't know their exact canon relationship yet and if it's gonna be revealed in the new update (have yet to play) but since they're both fatui I imagined them more to have a brotherly rivalry, so Lyney would've been very smug while getting Childe in the trick position, and maybe they would've been able to tickle him a little until Childe breaks free and just... retaliates. So it would've probably been more lee Lyney and very much Lyney VS Childe focused with the happy ending that Lyney's predicament equally cheered up his siblings.

Itto: Could've been a really fun one with Ayato making some funny remarks while Itto is screeching. I pictured Itto to be as naive and fun as Gaming but then in a sillier way, shamelessly enjoying himself and making funny remarks.

Thoma: Also in this case Ayato (and Itto) would've gotten involved since I grouped them together. Knowing myself I'd have thrown in some flirty thomato stuff, as well as some very cute remarks about how gentle and humble Thoma is even when he's getting tricked into a tickly situation like that. He would've been very blushy, very confused, very cute hehe, getting tickled like that in front of the eyes of Ayato.

Kaveh: Since Kaveh was at the Sumeru table this would've gotten Alhaitham, Cyno and Tighnari involved as well (more than in the eventual outcome where Fontaine gang- Neuvillette and Wriothesley were the main audience). Kaveh would've been a little harder to break, and also to convince in the first place for cooperating, but with some motivation from the others he's more like okay sure why not. And I definitely wouldn't have missed the chance to throw in some bad bad Cyno-jokes.

Aether: Aether would've been a lovely lovely looovely lee, but as the premise already hinted, it was Aether's party with many of his friends there after all. So even if Aether would've been the winning option, I still would've juggled 2 options: his friends either all love to tease and bully him so they help Lyney inc. to wreck him, OR I would've let it turn out into a scenario where they come to Aether's aid which would've turned Lyney into the main lee again. Depending on my mood I would've picked a few main characters to involve, probably Childe, Kaeya and Venti.

Gaming:

That wasn't all btw.

It was already hard to pick between all the lovely characters to put in the poll for this fic. Others I had in mind were:

Chongyun: ofc with some Xingqiu, duuuhh, also involving Xiangling, Gaming and maybe even Shenhe as audience/side characters and maybe even fellow ticklers and teasers. Ending with yang Chongyun ofc and a very confused and surprised Lyney & siblings like omfg what have we done to him.

Xiao: Precious Xiao would've been the perfect person to ask, sitting awkwardly to the side. Might have needed some Aether influence to be convinced into joining. His own polearm could've been used to spread his arms and *wiggle fingers* poor thing. I would've let Venti join in for sure.

Tighnari: Very curious to try the trick. Definitely a lot of Cyno in it as well. Also very flustered and having some adorable reactions.

Scaramouche: What trick? He is above this. This would've been very funny now that I recall this option, oof.

Bennett: Unlucky boy would've been a great target. Razor would've been in this version.

Albedo: Would also have been curious but a little sceptical. Still cooperative. Aether and Kaeya would've been some others to be mainly involved.

Here's an introduction to my genshin au, yes it's modern but I may have interpretated a few things, first of all, it's known as Modernized magic au (Acronym: MMAu)

Next hcs: Nationalities!

To start off, Venti, Zhongli, Ei & Makoto, Nahida, Furina, Murata, Tsaritsa and other god-like characters are all disguised as humans. (Makoto lives in this au)

The Fatui is the mafia for this au.

Sandrone and Dottore are related. (Uncle and niece) (Fun fact: Dottore got arrested for physical violence because he protected Sandrone)

Alrecchino and Eula are twin sisters.

Arlecchino has Spock/elf ears.

Xiangling, Xingqiu, Xu and Yelan are all siblings! (Xu is an npc but I gave him a vision, I see them as siblings)

Xiangling and Xingqiu are twins. (You cannot convince me to change this, I looked at their splasharts.)

Klee and Albedo are biological siblings. (Sue me.)

Sayu is 11 years old but she's in the eighth grade. (She's a smart kid/naturally gifted)

If there's a school play, you can always count on YunJin to operate it and it will always go according to plan.

Freminet had no friends, not until he was approached by Dori, who said she could pair him up with compatible people.

Lyney, Lynette and Freminet were all part of a travelling circus, which meant they were homeschooled by Caesar. (If you saw or played Lyney's story quest, you'd know who Caesar is, and yes, they're all biologically related in this au.)

Layla and Collei love to tease Bennett and Razor about their relationship.

Chongyun fell first but Xingqiu fell harder.

Aloy knows that Tartaglia's real job isn't a teacher. (They're siblings for a reason)

Aloy doesn't like being thrown in the dark, so when she was young, Tartaglia would often give her the attention she needs, despite the fact she was in elementary and he was in highschool, Teucer didn't mind anyway. (I feel bad for saying this since Aloy is neglected in game as well)

Furina(Focalors) had always loved Venti(Barbatos), after he "ascended" to Celestia, she believed she could never find him again... Well, she was wrong, she did find him.

Xinyan always thought why Lyney always had a face of guilt when they discuss about falling from high places. Maybe a bad memory?

HuTao watches over Qiqi since they're both adopted by Baizhu, HuTao always makes sure that Qiqi is close by or guarded by her best friends.

Kujou Sara is infertile so she adopted Bennett and YaoYao with Arataki Itto

Tsaritsa, Sucrose, Xiangling, Bennett, Dori and Diona are the student council.

Mika is a transmasc, he transitioned when he was young.

Freminet has a spade on his face as a birthmark, like his brother and sister.

Paimon, Lumine and Aether are all siblings. (I adore it when people give the three the sibling dynamic, they share a braincell.)

Chongyun has a yandere-ish side he won't show Xingqiu.

Tighnari adopted Collei and Razor before he married Cyno. (Cyno met Nari through Nilou, so technically, Cyno is a dad-dad, not stepdad.)

Nilou is the rich aunt and she places work before love so y'all know damn well she spoils her neice and nephew. (I love aroace Nilou)

Cyno and Nilou are siblings.

Arataki Itto and Kuku Shinobu are half-siblings. (Itto is about 4-5 years older than Shinobu. Itto's mom died so his dad remarried and then Shinobu came into the world, and Itto was protective of her during their highschool years)

Gaming and Chongyun are twin brothers. (Chongyun is the introvert and Gaming is the extrovert)

I don't mean this question in a shipping sense but because I want to know your take on them. Neuvillette and Furina and their relationship, what is your opinion on it?

what don't i feel about them should be the question.

you see them as a romantic relationship or you don't, nobody can deny that they're very important to one another. how the game handled their relationship was done in such an intricate fashion. they mostly did their usual tell but not show method, but they showed just enough to where you can get an idea of how important they are to each other & how much they care for one another. i have, fortunately, been able to avoid a lot of fandom influence on how i see the two of them when it comes to their specific relationship. i do this with all of the relationships between characters that i adore & hold so dear to me, not all of them being romantic because platonic relationships are just as important in my eyes ( ningguang/beidou, alhaitham/kaveh, xiangling/xingqiu/chongyun, ei/yae, kaeya/jean & many more ).

they have been a part of each others' routine for 500 years, 500 years is a lot of years adapting to one person & vice versa. 500 years of loyalty to their nation, co-ruling it, their personal goals, uplifting & guiding & motivating each other. they were both fish out of water these last 500 years trying to figure out & navigate things as best as they could & most of the time they only had the other to lean on as they tried their best to reconstruct fontaine & make it a more accepting & loving place. obviously it's still not perfect & they messed up quite a lot on their way to this point, but that they care so much for fontaine is something nobody can argue.

i have a lot of personal headcanons about them but i don't want to dive into those because again those are personal interpretations of mine, but what i will say is that i don't know how or where it was that the fandom got that neuvillette is more like furina's dad. there's some exchanges between these two characters that if you push the father/daughter lens on to them would make that entire relationship extremely uncomfortable. but that's just me!

i have such a hard time seeing furina as a child, i don't know where that came from even when she was /acting/ the entire time up until now.

however, i digress, they're a big deal to each other, that's point blank.
