Honestly? I think Clare would say it first. Des wants that perfect moment to say it to her, but it never really comes. He continues to second guess himself or the timing.

And then it's A.L. time, and she's going with the group while Desmond stays back on the airship. And she just goes, "See ya. Love you."

And then mutual Vine boom SFX for both of them NDNFNFNFJF

So yeah, it was a very slip-of-the-tongue "I love you", but then again… they might've never said it to each other unless it was like that.

For them, mainly it's letting them do their own thing. Respecting each other's strengths and expertise, that kind of thing.

i'm going to be honest i don't understand descole at all but here's what i've gathered: he is the antagonist. or at least an antagonist. he is a schemer. he pretends to be other people maybe(?). he probably has a motive that sounds bad, but he genuinely believes it (like a lysandre from pokemon type, only. not that extreme), since you complained about him being made a lot more violent in an adaptation/supplemental media i forget which one it was. - self-isinsert

Yeah, this is all pretty accurate!

I'd only say his motive is… pretty justified, if he didn't drag so many people down with him. Yeah he's bad, but I'd argue who he's fighting against is even worse.

And with the movie rant (it's. Kinda supplemental material, but they also bring it up in the games after the movie, so it is canon? IDK, it's a little weird), I was mainly just. Wondering why they made him so violent. I already know the answer though: makes the movie more action-packed and gives it higher stakes and all that.

Weirdly enough, they do keep up this more angry and violent (when he's in grasp of what he wants) nature in one of the novels, but I don't think that story's canon, or at least canon to the main games.

so i watched a playthrough of no straight roads and uh. neon j, huh. he's so strange i think he's so fun! he's an army man. he made a boy band from scratch. he's traumatized. if tvtropes isn't leading me astray, he's literally just organs in a robot body. i love him so much he's like a weird uncle to me. i may or may not have been drafting an s/i which also incorporates my Disability Feelings and like. yeah. sorry this is awkward but good talk i hope you've been doing okay! - self-isinsert

But either way, Neon J!!! Yeah, he sure is just A Guy's Organs Shoved Into a Robotic Body which. Damn. But at least he got a cool design out of it, love a good TV head

Being more serious, I just adore that the boy band in this game is literally being manufactured; it's so clever. But also how 1010 were built to make people happy, tying back to how Neon J is a toymaker along with being a ex-army man. And how he calls us out for breaking Yinu's piano from the previous fight and makes us question if we're really doing what's right. AND the boss music slaps. Augh, there's a bunch of other things I could say about Neon J, he's so cool!

And when you finish your S/I, I would like to see them 👀 I should really play No Straight Roads again, I wanna bring back Clover

okay so this is a platonic/familial because i mean. it's me. but i think don quixote would really like you! she is. she... in the world of the city, which is just so fucked up, she's very attached to the ideal of fixers (mercenaries who can take just about any job, though some work in "associations" that specialize in things like information gathering or protection/bodyguarding, various occupations) as noble knights, even when that is really not the case? she's so autistic about fixers, and i think she'd really value someone who's super passionate about something of their own! but she also definitely seems to be hiding some sort of depth that we aren't sure about yet, since she gets called "insincere" in chapter 2, and it really hits a nerve for her. i think you'd be able to get her to open up about that (i mean. we don't know what it is yet, but we'll find out eventually!) i can't add a picture unfortunately but she's from limbus company so she should be easy to find. - self-isinsert

Laetitia - What kind of gifts do you and your f/o get for each other?

Ok so while Herlock will definitely keep track of things I like and such, he will also just.  Get me random stuff.  I will look at something in a store window for a lil’ too long, and he is already going inside to buy it (sir, you can barely pay your own rent).

I try to be sparse with gifts, because a) they mean more when they’re not so common, and b) this man literally has a giant shelf in threat of complete collapse if even one thing is moved slightly.  His suite is filled to the BRIM with odds and ends.

Easily the suite.  I know I just ragged on it for being cluttered, but it feels so much like a home, it’s incredible.
