Have you decided on which animal you'd be focusing on? 👀
Also, I'm interested in seeing how your ideas and stories unfold! It's good to see more xenofiction lovers and writers around
Hi, thank you for the question!
As of right now the three main characters are birds (a raven, a pheasant, and a puffin) but many other animals play a role in the story and lore. Because I’m allowing so many different species to interact with each other on the same sapient level, the lore is taking a bit to write out. (I’m also working on multiple creative projects at once!)
With that being said, I’d love to hear any suggestions/ideas people have. Everything is still in development but currently the animals are split into different “divisions” of classification— it’s basically a very simplified version of taxonomy. They have different cultures and languages with a shared common tongue. The divisions also branch off into sub-divisions, but I have a feeling I won’t cover everything immediately because of the scale of it all.
Example: wymme (the feathered), feasymme (the pawed), deonymme (the hooved), and wetymme (the webbed) are the four major divisions. Fish and insects have their own thing going on and do not share the common tongue. Some animals (bats and turtles, for example) don’t entirely fit in the divisions but that is not seen as something bad in Firstil.
