Dakota didn’t recognize her, and really hadn’t been paying much attention to her. They’d been too busy with their own thing, when they heard her speaking. They didn’t really register the fact that she was speaking to them, until a few moments when by, and no one was responding to her. They cleared their throat a little bit, and looked over at her, nodding. “Yeah, I know the way,” they smiled. They extended a hand towards her. “I’m Dakota,” they introduced.

“Gray,” she shook their hand and then gave them a thankful smile. “I appreciate you showing me the way, I haven’t been able to figure out heads or tails of the map they gave me- and admittedly I left it upstairs in my suite,” she explained as she looked at them. “Are you a teacher here?”

Dakota was nervous. They were close to Daisy, but now things felt even more intense. They paced around their home, before making their way to Daisy's room. They bit their lip a little bit, and knocked on the door.

"Daisy," they said, a little bit more pleading than their normal attitude. "Daisy, I want to speak with you. Please?" They bit their lip, rocking on the balls of their feet.

Daisy groaned a little as she rolled over, kicking the floral comforter off of her body. She hadn’t slept well the night before and was trying to take a nap, but so far her luck wasn’t changing. No matter what she did thoughts of all kinds continued to run through her mind. She wanted to eat every offering the bakery had for the holidays, she wanted to drink and dance on the beach until she could no longer stand. And she wanted to do them all right now! Giving up, the witch sat up just as a knock and Dakota’s voice sounded at her door. Perfect! They were always up for adventures!

Bouncing to the door, she swung it open and instantly engulfed her best friend in a hug. “Sure! But first we gotta get dressed, we are going out tonight!”

“What if we went to the beach or something for a bit?” they asked him. They chuckled a little bit. “I’m glad someone missed me,” they teased. “I begin to wonder from time to time if I leave an impression.” 

Chase smiled at the other’s words. “Yeah we can definitely go to the beach or anywhere else. I would just have to tell my master where I will be.” He tells him. “I am sure you leave a good impression on a lot of people.”

Who, besides Ciaran and Jace, do you see as your closest friends?

Scarlett goes first or else she brings out the super soaker. Dakota is an utter doll. Pretty sure everyone loves them. James is always there when I need him. Qhuinn and Dhani put up all my nerd rants. Beth helps me keep Jace in line. Arthur keeps me sane. Avery is my favorite student. And Malon and I are becoming fast friends.

It seemed that things had gone fully back to normal after everything that had happened during the break, just in time for classes to start which was nice. It would have been rather annoying trying to take a class just to be turned into an animal or something like that. She actually had just finished her classes of the day and was making her way to get something to eat when she saw someone she recognised, though they had met when Fayeth thought she was much younger and didn’t remember school or anything. So she figured maybe it was time to re introduce herself to them “Hi, how are you” she said when she was close enough.

Dr...Daisy? || Self-Para

That couldn’t be right.. She absolutely had to be misreading something! Daisy blinked at the letter in her hand, reading it a second time. A third, then a fourth just to be sure. But the words didn’t change. Okay, she needed someone way smarter than she was to help make sense of this! Jumping up, letter still clutched in a hand that was starting to shake in excitement, Daisy called for Dakota as she raced through the house.

Finding them in the kitchen, she hauled her best friend to the couch so they could read it together. And..it was true. This was real. Wizard’s Words, the publishing company that she had been communicating with for most of the year, wanted to sponsor her tuition. As the puzzle pieces of her plans for the future began to click into place, Daisy’s eyes filled with grateful tears. “I can’t believe this is happening! I’m..a mistress now! I’m gonna to be published some day! I’m gonna be a doctorate student! I’m gonna be..” She giggled now, the moniker sounding so funny in her mind before she even voiced it. “Doctor Daisy!” Overcome with excitement and emotions, she just clung to Dakota as more plans began to fill her overactive mind.

She was going to put so much focus into her studies now! The last thing she wanted to do was disappoint the people who were so nice to do this for her. But more than that, she was going to have fun! Her own place, with a big garden and yard where Topaz could run around. Maybe..maybe she would find him a girlfriend! And they would have baby Nifflers for her to play with! She’d have a big country kitchen, and a sewing room, and an art room and..oh! A shop! She could open her own shop now! Oh gosh..what was she going to do with that? There was so many things she liked, how could she narrow it down enough to fit in a small store? Maybe she’d have two shops..was that a thing?

OH! She needed to text Lily! And Vi, and Dhani and Scott and all of her friends! Maybe she would have a party at her new house once she was settled! And oh!! She would have her magic back now too! Daisy was full of too many ideas to keep silent now, starting to chatter away to Dakota. Who, she could only guess now, wouldn’t be all that sad to see her go...
