Could also do a Monado (the weapon (designs), not the people) or sword poll. More than enough designs there, and I wanna dunk on Zanza's spaceship-looking version of the Monado

Well, that'd maybe have to be a mini bracket rather than a countdown, since you can only have 10 options per poll.

Guess that does depend on what we count as a Monado though, but I can think of

Monados I-III, Zanza's Monado, Meyneth's Monado being definitely 5 Monados from XC1, then you could argue for the 8 different variants of Monado Replicas, which could potentially make 13 Monados from XC1 alone.

XC2, Malos' Monado definitely counts, and then you can arguably count each of the three Aegis Swords for up to four Monados. (Shulk's Monado is techinically separate, but it's the same design as Monado I)

XC3, Sword of Origin and Sword of the End are arguably two more Monados. Then there's Matthew's Ouroboros Fists, which arguably count, A's Monado definitely counts, Shulk has an all new version of the Replica and Rex's Firelight Swords are different enough from 2's Aegis swords that they can probably get in on the action as well.

So that's what? 22 Monados? 24 if we split the Firelight Swords in three?

Twitter will never get over XC2 discourse... real Endless Now moment. The latest discourse being about whether Rex can be in a poly relationship.

I just wanted to throw in my 2 cents because it feels like everyone on Twitter is being ridiculous right now, no matter which side they're taking.

As someone who is happy with the Rex polycule and disagrees with the crowd saying it's dumb or "cringy", I think it is perfectly reasonable for Skye, especially as Pyra and Mythra's VA, to have this headcanon. People harassing her over it need to shut up, because at the end of the day it's her own damn opinion.

That said, yes, her calling Pyra and Mythra "her" characters and implying her opinions are better than the writers/directors is weird. Even if she doesn't agree with them, she doesn't have ultimate authority over their characters just because she voiced them. Her voice certainly brought the characters to life and I believe she understands them deeply, but that doesn't mean she's right about everything related to them.

Again, she still doesn't deserve harassment for it! It's all just a pointless discussion when there are much better topics to focus on, especially after the DLC had so much juicy info. Let Xenoblade 2 discourse rest.

Something a friend and I discussed was the start of chapter 8 in XC2

At the start of this chapter, everyone is separated, similar to Fallen Arm in XC1, but we only play as Rex and Jin in this part of the story. And sure, Rex meets with Brighid, so the story can show off his new master driver ability, but this still feels like a huge step down from the "everyone's split up" stretch in XC1, where we also got to see some of the other characters, Reyn got a chunk of character development and Riki showed off how great of a friend he is.

So seeing what other party members were up to in the Land of Morytha could have been pretty cool. An idea I proposed was that Mòrag could have been separated from all of her blades. Then she'd begrudgingly awaken Aegeon (despite rather preferring to give him back to Niall), which would give him some actual story relevance.

Since Poppi is with Rex, maybe showing how Tora handled being separated from her for the first time since her creation could also provide some character development.

Not sure what we'd like to see from Nia and Zeke during this, but there's at least two characters who'd benefit from getting some focus in this segment, and expanding Morytha would have been nice, seeing as it's a bit underwhelming for how narratively important of a location it's supposed to be.

Pneuma sisters

Pneuma was an aspect of a computer system called the Trinity Processor, which was in space. Eventually, after being brought to earth for complicated reasons, Pneuma was awakened as Mythra by a man called Addam. A lot of plot happens and she becomes wracked with grief, winds up creating Pyra to face the world for her as she grieves, and both are sealed away for 500 years. At the end of the main game, Pyra and Mythra gain separate bodies, although it’s as yet ambiguous how much either remembers about their lives and which, if either, has access to Pneuma’s “true” form or full power. (Note: XC3's Future Redeemed DLC may have clarified this but I'm not done with it yet.)

Peter Parker

Peter Parker (Cringefail version (affectionate)), Peter Parker (Noir version), & Peter Porker (Pig version) are all principal characters in the movie. Also there’s comics with like way more Spider-Men and associated Spider-People but I haven’t read those.

Everytime I think about JinMalos for too long I want to die they make me so sad.

I saw someone on Twitter say that Malos could have won if he went to Elysium right after everyone ended up in Morytha, he didn’t have to look for Jin. But he didn’t go on ahead because he promised they’d go together

There's also Glimmer's Monado as a daughter of an Aegis. Like everyone in that DLC team has a Monado but Nicol.

Whether Glimmer's Blade is a Monado is a bit more up in the air though.

Generally, it appears as though most of the Blades in XC3 are manufactured weapons that people then register as Blades within their Iris, as evident by among other things a kid in the City pretending to make weapons for the other kids (a concept that'd be completely foreign otherwise), Shania using her late sister's Blade (specifically the same gun, not just a lookalike), Riku working as a colony weaponsmith, the fact that Blades can even be upgraded by smithypons in the first place, and most soldiers using standardized weaponry.

So it depends on whether this assessment is correct, and whether Glimmer in that case followed the norm and uses a manufactured weapon, or is an odd one out who generated her own weapon.

Xenoblade 2 villains VS Team Magma (Pokemon)

in this corner we have Mikhail, Malos, Jin, Patroka and Akhos. They bound together after a lot of hardship to- uh. what isn't a spoiler to say. well, what's important to know is that they'd die for each other.

and in this corner we have Team Magma. Run by a man just trying to help the world, some people just smart enough to realize it won't work at the last second and those too devoted to him, to the cause that they almost destroy the world.
