my fear about them not using the keep for datv (along with the fact that it allows for less variance in worldstate, but i do buy the excuse that a lot of that stuff won’t be relevant in a wider story set years later) is that the keep is going to be abandoned and/or deactivated, making it impossible to play any type of custom world state in inquisition

🍁The Sims 3: Sugar Maple Coast Recreation Project 🍁
---
Hello, Simblr community! I am pleased to announce a fanmade project for The Sims 3 that has been in the works for some time.
As you may or may not know, there was a console version of The Sims 3: Pets, released in 2011 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. This version shipped with an all-new world, Sugar Maple Coast.
This project mainly focuses on recreating Sugar Maple Coast from scratch for the PC version, including:
Lots (Residential / Community)
Households and Sims
The world geometry itself!
In fact, most households and houses have been completed already, though we still have some progress ahead of us.
In addition, this project will also recreate various beta aspects of Sugar Maple Coast, including removed Sims. We are also looking at another version of the world that will allow for expanded lots and support for features from the PC expansion packs.
We also have a dedicated corner for Moonlight Bay content!
It is the world from the console version of The Sims 3, which was a separate game from The Sims 3: Pets Console.
---
All progress is documented on our Discord server. If you would like to help, simply follow progress, or hang out with fellow members, please join below: 👇
https://discord.gg/dbwaaFhEXF
---
There are channels to chat, introduce yourself, and download completed households and lots! Please follow all rules and respect fellow members. We appreciate all the help we can get! You will be credited if you contribute to the project! 😊

What are the gangs favorite type of video games to play? Weather it’s Mario, Pokémon, sports, rhythm games, horror games, etc etc.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. YOU ACTIVATED MY TRAP CARD!!!! Now...
Poppy prefers tabletop games more, but she can be often caught playing or seeing someone else playing The Sims. She LOVES that game - Angel has The Sims 2 installed on their computer, and when they all move to a bigger house Poppy gets her own PC so she can play TS2 as much as she wants.
Kissy doesn't play much on her own, but she really loves 3D platformers and adventure games. Her favorites are the og Spyro the Dragon trilogy! I think she loves watching others play pokémon as well.
Huggy loves racing games. Get anything with a car and he's instantly in love with it.
I can Mommy Long Legs making super over-the-top stories on The Sims 2 as well, so she and Poppy often share news of what their sims are doing. They are both active in forums and are trying to make their own custom content for the game!
Bunzo is a pokémon guy.
PJ Pug-a-Pillar doesn't like playing games in general but he LOVES watching others play, esp if there's lots of cutscenes. It's like watching a movie!
Miss Delight falls in love with Portal 2 when it's released, but I think she's really picky with her puzzle games. She likes being a bit creative on her solutions! She's also really into RPGs. I think the Fallout franchise is her comfort game.
Catnap and Craftycorn are walking Silent Hill encyclopedias, but they LOOOOVE survival horror. Catnap's fav is the original SH1, while Craftycorn loves Haunting Ground (PS2) and SH3.
Bobby on the other hand prefers Resident Evil and Clock Tower 3, but when it's not horror it's definitely a more experimental game. She cries everytime she plays Shadow of the Colossus but she loves it.
Bubba, much like Miss Delight, is SUPER into RPGs and puzzle games, but pokémon and Ace Attorney have conquered his heart. He LOOOVES gushing about it!
Picky's favorite is Animal Crossing! It makes her feel safe and she loves just walking around her town. She made a really impressive one and everyone wants updates from her villagers, Picky loves giving them.
Kickin can't get enough of any FPS or action-adventure game, and he can and WILL ragequit if he's playing online and his teammates start being rude to him or each other. Thankfully he learned really quick how to deal with the more toxic players so now he can truly relax. Unfortunately doomed to become a League of Legends player when it comes out.
Hoppy also loves FPS, but 3D platformers and open-world games are her favorites. Anything that gives her plenty of freedom to move around or just be silly immediately catches her attention! I think she becomes a Team Fortress 2 player.
Dogday prefers to watch rather than play and he gets SO invested. I think Miss Delight likes playing puzzle games with him because they figure out solutions together, but if Dogday were to chose a game for himself to play it would probably be a rythimn game. It gives him the zoomies.
The other smaller toys all have their own individual preferences, so talking about them is more complicated!
Everyone becomes obsessed with Minecraft when it's released. Catch Catnap pranking everyone on their shared beta server by pretending to be Herobrine.
When Angel gets them an Xbox 360 they have many game nights where they play on the Kinect.
Speaking of which, Angel is down to play literally everything, but all the toys know they aren't very keen on anything horror-related. Not because it's scary, it's just that Angel finds them boring after surviving Playtime Co. They probably have an encyclopedia-level knowledge of pokémon, tho.
Prototype doesn't play videogames, but enjoyes watching the others play. Just don't put ANY war games in front of him and we're all good, otherwise he stops watching.

HUGE Queen render update!
I have great news! Some of my followers might remember my search for the Beautiful Katamari Queen render. I couldn't have done this without PidgiWiki, so please go support their cause!
In search of the Queen's Beautiful Katamari render, PidgiWiki's server gave me a few places to check. I got even more than I wished for!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Additionally, while I was reverse searching the Queen art from Katamari Damacy Reroll, I came across a lowres photo of the Queen's Katamari Forever render with a PixlBit watermark.
Tumblr media
I checked the PixlBit site, and boy was I surprised!
Tumblr media
Already, I was greeted with some completely new images. I was also surprised to see the Queen's Xbox 360 theme artwork and the Cookie Leaderboards background!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
According to a member from PixlBit's team, these were most likely downloaded from an FTP server, like many other press assets.
Tumblr media
Thankfully, PidgiWiki had a transparent, non-watermarked version of the Queen color sheet! However, that leaves us with two more mysteries... 1. Why is Papa underneath her, and 2. Where did the Jumboman/Red Panda image come from?
And why is there a lot of Queen content in TMK's press art, when she barely appears in the game? Was she planned to make more appearances?
Tumblr media
I will keep everyone updated!

day 2 update
KULCS Day 2 Update Community: -has thoroughly deconstructed the map, including various prop pieces and brush chunks, but not very relevant -Cones identified as a potential key lead since they seem to have distinct positions, though not sure why -The various floating props seem to be interacting very specifically with the lighting, shadows and light seem to be displaying shapes of numbers/letters/symbols? -Lots of various ciphers/cryptographic methods tested on aspects of the map but nothing appears to bear much fruit. I’m also personally doubtful the engine would generate anything this complex but that’s just my opinion -People have tried moving the map/lighting around to generate new shadows, but nothing seems to have come from this. My End: -Been spending a lot of time looking around the map myself but still can’t really figure anything out myself In game nothing has really changed, except the figure occasionally seems to spawn in different places -Tried some suggestions but nothing worked. For example, HL2 cheat codes don’t work because I can’t jump, shoot, or use flashlight -In video attached, looking around but nothing is new or changed, still can't move or do anything Other Notes: -Personally I’m feeling that deconstructing the map isn’t going anywhere significant. I have also tried a lot of things on the vmf end but I’m convinced that there’s something about how it’s set up currently -People have been sending me lots of suggestions but there’s too much for me to get to. I won’t be able to try everything you guys suggest + it could take me weeks to really get to everything Maybe I’m going a bit crazy too, but I just realized this entire debacle is happening around the 2 year anniversary of INTERLOPER 3, which was the first time I had to lean on you guys for help. Again thanks everyone for your help, and keep me posted
the sillouette is back.
Additionally, there was a conversation that took place in another person's tf2 server that hosted the Kulcs map:
This is a transcript of TF2 chat messages between Anomi and Autumn-, when Anomi joined Autumn's server hosted on kulcs. Video of encounter -- START -- Anomi has joined the game Autumn- : WHAT Anomi joined team BLU Autumn- : ANOMI?1 Anomi : find anything? Autumn- : uh no? Autumn- : How are you here? Autumn- : This is like a local server? Anomi : u have the checkbox turned on Anomi : its a new tf2 feature Autumn- : which one? Anomi : in create server Autumn- : huh Autumn- : interesting Anomi : theres a checkbox that lets steam host your listen server Autumn- : never thought the creator of the mystery would join Autumn- : also the most interesting thing by far I've connected is Autumn- : is that the images in the out of bounds are Autumn- : somehow connected to the games yo uare able to play this map? Autumn- : It works in half-life 2 Anomi : idk Autumn- : and portal Autumn- : I tested it Anomi : it does? Autumn- : yep Autumn- : if you put it in the og portal's map folde Autumn- : *folder Autumn- : and do the 'map kulcs' command Autumn- : it'll send you here also Autumn- : the xbox version is obvious cuz y'know Autumn- : Interloper d? Autumn- : oh wait Autumn- : well I am only saying it cuz Autumn- : the images also have the half-life 2 xbox cover Anomi : like the 360? Anomi : yeah Autumn- : yep Autumn- : the weirdest thing is Autumn- : when I researched this map Anomi : actually you know Autumn- : ? Anomi : on the xbox 360 version this map was the first map that loaded whenever you launched the game Autumn- : oh? Anomi : orange box Anomi : yeah Autumn- : that's interesting Anomi : I played a LOT of orange box Autumn- : Never got to play it, was too youn for it lol Anomi : me too but I borrowed it Autumn- : ah ok Autumn- : anyway uh Autumn- : everybody keeps thinking cuz of the vrad thing Autumn- : that the shadows have secrets Autumn- : like it's somehow a code Anomi : I kind of agree I think Autumn- : idk how it works Anomi : like this Autumn- : well no Anomi : I'm kind of looking at this thing Autumn- : some shadows connect to look like symbols Autumn- : what do you see? Anomi : it is just me or does this look like a letter e? Autumn- : i mean.. kinda? Autumn- : the top thing makes it look like so Autumn- : but there have been shadows that make them look like letters Autumn- : idk where Anomi : OH i see it Anomi : stand here Autumn- : I could find a youtube video with them Anomi : look this way Autumn- : oh yeah Anomi : you know I should open this in vr and see if I can find more of these Autumn- : hm.. Autumn- : oh yeah Autumn- : wait I am curious really Autumn- : since kulcs is hungarian for key Autumn- : and the key you showed in INTERLOPER D Autumn- : could they be connected? Anomi : i thought so but I have no idea Anomi : thats been the thing for the last weeks Autumn- : huh.. Anomi : but like serial keys arent literal keys so Autumn- : yeah but since it's source Anomi : it's a little too silly 90's Autumn- : some things could be literal Autumn- : idk Autumn- : seems usual for entities within the engine Anomi : I'm gonna look around some more, let me know if you see or find anything cool Autumn- : ah ok Anomi left the game (Client Disconnect) -- END --

The Beatles Rockband
Tumblr media
The Beatles Rockband (2009) is perhaps one of the most nostalgic games I've ever played on the Xbox 360. Sure, there was Call of Duty. But there's just something nostalgic about remembering to grab that plastic guitar controller, and playing all night long with my friends. I remember all the memories that were a part of this game:
- Playing with randoms and arguing about which song to play.
- Getting mad at someone creating a setlist.
- Getting mad at someone replaying the same song.
- Getting mad at someone who sucks at the game.
- Grinding on online co-op all night long.
- Adding people after playing a few songs, saying GG.
This game's servers are gone in 2022. Online is not an option and it's not surprising because this game died around 2012-2013. Back then, looking for an online game was impossible because people simply stopped playing this game. And today in 2023, one year after the servers are completely down. This game is no longer online compatible and can only be played solo offline.
This game will always hold a special place in my heart and helped become the person I am today.
Rest in Peace, Beatles Rockband.

circuit breaker [9 ch. doom 2 mod installation, Xbox 360 controller, Win 7 PC, fridge, 3D print with recycled PETG bottles containing a USB stick with a MacOS rootkit, laser cut tribal lithography and a short story, 2 backsides of monitors, mdf laser cut, acrylic laser cut containing an article from The Intercept about the FBI ISIS grooming scandal of Mateo Ventura, self made nails, 3 computer fans with stickers, laser cut vcr rack, monitor arm with a 3d fan animation, 3d print with silver silk PLA, 3D printed frames with green translucent PLA, alu-dibond prints on speaker stands] As much as we are connected through the wire, digital tremors beyond the deceleration of digital literacy are operating on a daily basis to eliminate the possibility of an utopian future. So far, the social media canon is embellished in its own need for disinformation, as the user turns from being a victim to a target. The circuit breaker serves as neologism of a rough awakening, of an absent, impotent reflection of a mirage we call cultural consensus and the loss of visions for an alternative future. Beyond dark forests and hidden swamps lie metaphysical caskets for our souls, shapeshifting into forms of server racks, hard drives, deep down adorned with white lights, where the cancellation of a subscription or the mere lack of back up destroys over decade old, cultivated mycelium-like dependent relationships between admin, mod and user. No amount of spiritual, paganistic and religious fanaticism survives as soon as you meet eye to eye with this on petroleum operating soul reaver. The works exhibited in „circuit breaker“ are exploring the relationships between materials and tools that turn the immaterial into analogue sculptures, text into thoughts and fears, the involuntary participation in a post-truth world that turns us into targets for all kinds of fun psychological operations.

A Eulogy for my Playstation 4 Pro
Tumblr media
So since I was a brain genius who decided to transfer all my fundraiser money to my bank account on a weekend, let's have a little eulogy for my poor Playstation 4 Pro.
I bought it in 2017 after a hellish move from Colorado to Nevada. We'd lived in Colorado for 26 years, and rented the same house for 24 of those years. I literally grew up in that house. Then our landlords got greedy (as all landlords eventually do), almost tripled our rent, and we had to move.
One of the last things I did before I packed up my computer was release The Definitive Way to Play Sonic Adventure on Youtube. That video was a modest success, but it had a secondary effect where a no-commentary gameplay video I'd uploaded for the fangame Sonic Utopia got picked up by the algorithm as a result, and that video suddenly took off like wildfire. I found myself sitting on a pair of videos that were about to pull in close to a combined 3 million views. It was the most I'd had a video blow up in a very long time.
I was now flush with a few thousand dollars of cash that I could do whatever I wanted with. That was great, as I got to help cover some moving expenses. I gave my Mom some money, I paid one of the deposits on our new apartment, paid to fix some stuff that got broken in the move, I bought myself a new desk, new computer chair, some storage shelves, a new bed frame, and still had about $700 left to spare. So I bought a PS4 Pro and a small handful of games (The Nathan Drake Collection, Yakuza Kiwami, The Last of Us Remastered, and Parappa the Rapper Remastered, I think). It was the first true next-generation console I'd bought in 11 years -- I'd had a Wii U, but that doesn't count.
Within that first year, I'd already run into my first problem with that Playstation 4. Back in the Xbox 360 era, I had a moment in my life where I was a psychopath that was running a media server off my PC. Every morning I'd wake up, download everything my Youtube subs had posted the day before, along with whatever GiantBomb had uploaded that day, and threw it up on the media server. The 360 could see the server, and those downloads would basically become my background noise for the day. I watched the entire GiantBomb Persona 4 Endurance Run that way: on the 360, through my media server. For context, these were the days before there was any way to watch Youtube on a television. There was no app. Youtube was just a website. So the Media Server was what I had to do to see Youtube on another screen.
In the move out to Nevada, I'd bought a cheap 32GB USB thumbdrive from the back-to-school section at Wal-mart and filled it full of movies and videos and stuff. With the PS4 set up, I plugged that thumbdrive in and tried out the PS4's media player capabilities, hoping it worked like the Xbox 360.
It did... for about 45 minutes. In the middle of watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie the media player suddenly crashed and refused to see the USB thumbdrive anymore. I reached down to pull it out only to find it was almost too hot to touch. I might have actually dropped the thumbdrive because it shocked me just how hot it was. I have never felt a piece of electronics be that hot before.
For the rest of that day, that USB port was dead. Nothing you plugged into it would be recognized. Eventually, it finally started working with controllers, but it never accepted any other thumbdrives, ever.
After about three years, I started to notice recordings were starting to get a little weird. Clips I'd record of my Fortnite matches would have huge 2-3 second chunks go missing, or the encoding would corrupt and smear. But then it went away, so I figured maybe it was just a problem with the game and not the console. It'd come back every now and then, maybe once a year, but it only ever happened with Fortnite, and only occasionally.
About a year and a half ago, I started to notice something else weird. Unless there was a specific game I needed to play for work stuff (like Sonic Frontiers or whatever), my PS4 was mostly just a Fortnite machine, and mainly because the PC version of Fortnite is a disaster.
But for months I'd left a disc in my PS4's disc drive. I think it was probably Balan Wonderworld or something, and as I booted up Fortnite for my daily founder's mission rewards, I noticed a sound. I'd been hearing it on and off for a while, but now I was finally paying attention to it. I realized: the console was sitting there scanning the disc, over and over and over, like it couldn't read it. I'd hear the disc motor spin up, the soft click-click-click as the read head scanned for data. It'd spin down, spin up, click-click-click, whirrrrrr, click-click, spin down, spin up, etc. Over and over. It'd do this for a good 30-45 seconds, then finally settle down and identify the disc.
The first time I noticed this, I ejected the Balan disc and put in something else; I think it was Dreams. PS4 read the disc instantly. I shrugged, figured maybe the Balan disc was just cursed and didn't think anything of it.
About a week later, I caught it doing it with the disc for Dreams. And then Sonic Frontiers. Then Sonic Superstars. Pretty much any disc I'd put in there. As the months wore on, it started taking multiple minutes for it to identify the disc.
A few weeks before it died, I ended up taking the disc out and basically resigning myself to only putting a disc in if I was going to play it, and removing that disc the moment I was done, because that scanning process seemed like it was making the problem worse.
A few months before it died, I got a full hardware crash on the console. The error code it gave me pointed to a hardware failure, but a google revealed that it was a generic error code that could mean literally anything. Right around this time, the video corruption in my Fortnite recordings came back around. I had a feeling it was the HDD.
Thus began the saga of trying to replace my PS4's HDD. I knew it could take SSDs, so I did some research, saved up $100, and bought a 2TB SSD that was compatible with the console. Followed Sony's official instructions on replacing the HDD, and...
It didn't work.
I vowed to get my money back and order a different HDD, but prices went up and realizing the other mounting problems with this machine (including the fried USB port), and my general mood overall, I just kept the money and figured I'd ride or die until the machine breathed its last.
8 months later... it refused to boot up at all.
Rest in piece, king. The only other console I've ever had straight up die on me like this was my Xbox 360, and if I'm being honest, I kind of smothered that poor boy a little bit hoping to get a sturdier console back from the repair center.
(I did not, but that's a story for another day.)

gendah fluid. it/its for referring to it as a whole, he/him or she/her when you know what its gender is atm (and boy you Will know). idrk the terminology but it switches about once a month

tyler the creator (who exists on earth c) superfan. tells people its favorite album is cherry bomb to be contrarian but in reality its fav is call me if you get lost

part 2: dave
stereotypical early 2010s gamer boy. worked with jake to bring the xbox 360 servers back up so that he and his friends could play bo2 zombies
avid hate-reader of homestuck beyond canon (in my post-canon au caliborn wrote hs:bc as some kinda weird escapist fanfic about his friends lives. he's setting up a huge twist ending where it turns out that ult dirk (and thus everyone else) is secretly being controlled by ult caliborn)
had a ttrpg phase once. tried to homebrew a black ops 2 campaign in 5e, realized that 5e sucks, then found an indie rpg that accomplished what he wanted perfectly
part 3: dana
ping pongs between "motorcycle butch" and "preppy white girl with polaroid camera, heart shaped glasses, and a bucket hat w plastic strawberries on it"
part 3a: motorcycle butch
this. all of this. apologies if the link doesnt work i had to manually copy it from my computer screen to my phone
