Kai has always felt like the black sheep of his family. The odd one out. He was the only boy, with two sisters and two female cousins. Things could get pretty lonely at home but he had a lot of friends to keep him company at school and after. He was probably closest to Noah Daniels, a boy in his year who had a stutter. Some people would make fun of the guy but not Kai. He was a kind person most of the time, unless you picked on his family or friends, and he was fairly easy to get along with usually. If he had to pick a member of his family that he was closest to, it would probably be Layla. They were the same age and she was into things like football where the other girls just weren’t. So they had some things in common, enough so that he wasn’t always on the outside.

Kai did very well in school. Some people took one look at him, his hoodies and his messy hair that he doesn’t really bother to do much with, and assumed he was lazy or something. He was the opposite. He did very well in maths and physics, something he figures he got from his dad, who was always a massive science geek. He got on well with his dad, he liked his sense of humour and his intelligence, though he’d never say so. Kai liked to play up the loner card but he was really too sociable for his own good at times. He liked people even when he pretended that he didn’t.

Baberton is a pretty scary place these days. People seem to be dying left, right, and centre. These are dangerous times and Kai is constantly hearing from his parents to look out for his sisters or be careful, never go anywhere alone especially at night, etc. It can be annoying but he gets that it’s necessary with a killer on the loose. His cousin Hannah recently went missing and the whole family is on high alert, though Kai never really liked Hannah. She was family but she was too much of a stuck up bitch for him to ever really talk to. Not that he wants her dead or anything.

Kai skipped college, not sure what he wants to do. His father was disappointed, he knew, but his mother just wants him to be healthy and happy, she wants that for all her children. Kai just doesn’t know what he wants to do with his life, whether he wants to teach like his dad, be a scientist, or work in a garage… the latter of which his father really doesn’t approve of, and why Kai is stalling so much. It’s what he really wants to do but his dad thinks he’ll be wasting his talent. He works full-time in the Hot Spot, a local cafe, and plans to move into his own place after Christmas.

Is still pretty hung up on his ex girlfriend Kylie Pope. They met in high school and Kai didn’t care about her family money and such, he just liked her. Unfortunately, she got reeled in by Annie Pierce, the popular bitch, and Kylie started to pull away from Kai whenever Annie was around. It bugged him and it was so obvious that Annie was just hanging out with her because she was rich. He broke things off after they got into an argument after Kylie cancelled a date they’d planned five minutes before they had to leave. Kai resented Annie taking up all his girlfriend’s time and he ended it abruptly. That same night, Kylie fell out of her bedroom window and wound up in hospital with serious injuries, nobody knew if she would even walk again. Kai doesn’t think the two girls spoke again but he didn’t go and see her, too upset even while he was concerned. They got no closure and he’s never been able to let her go, he wishes he could work up the courage to catch up with her, be friends again at least because he misses having her in his life.

Caught Jason Wright selling test answers and found out where he’d got them from. In exchange for not telling anyone that he’d been stealing from his teacher friend Ryan Fletcher, Kai asked to get in on the little business, and he now helps him sell  to people and they split the profit.

Sequence is a mature abilities roleplay. We currently accept original characters and use skeleton bios for our canons so you can mold a canon in a unique way in your applications. Set shortly after a war between our super humans called Conduits, and Humans, the city of Chicago is our setting. In a world with advanced technologies, super humans, tensions are still very high between the two species. PRIME, a UN backed organization has been created to police the Conduits. With many branches throughout the world, Chicago is PRIME’s United States branch’s headquarters. Although they have restored order to the city, their methods have given rise to the Mavericks, a faction rebelling against PRIME’s control over much of the city. However, they are not the only groups involved in Chicago and the growing unrest is anything but simple.
