I hope we don’t find out Xaden’s mom is some damsel in distress somewhere and we find out she was kidnapped by some villain. She was contractually obligated to give Fen, a man she probably didn’t love, an heir. I really think it would be a more interesting story if she really left because she was seriously unhappy and wanted to be with her family again
