I had a dream last night that the new Fury Road movie was being marketed as a sort of sequel but turned out to be a sort of retelling of MMFR in a slightly different universe but was intended as a very silly and light hearted movie that focused on fanfiction level character interactions and spent more time with minor characters learning, in sort of humorous ways, how the system worked against them and started breaking down. I can't remember many details but I just remember thinking 'yes, I am so here for low stakes fun MMFR meant to cater explicitly to the die hard fans of MMFR'
