Well it could depend on whether this is a mutant based quirk or transformation based! If its transformation based, then you can choose one or more lizards to have your oc turn into.

However, if you are wanting to go on the mutant side of things, this ALSO could depend on what lizard(s) you base your character off of. Lizards are cold blooded - thus they cannot maintain body temperature. This could be a potential flaw for your character? There's two venomous lizards in the world, but multiple poisonous ones. Maybe having protective toxins can help your OC defense wise? Other than geckos, lizards dont have any vocal chords, either.

I would also suggest looking up various lizards to see which one(s) suit your character as well! Hope this helped!

How do you think a lizard quirk would work?

I already know the tail would detach itself if you pulled on it and it would probably take a while to grow back. They’d probably be pretty fast (and maybe good at sneaking around but idk).

Well, where does the light come from? Is it his entire body, or just a certain (or multiple) part(s)? Perhaps he may ironically have a blind spot? Is he immune to his own quirk, or does he need to shield his eyes too? It is a very neat quirk!

As a hero, unless he was very well at combat to make up for what his quirk can and cannot do, and/or he had weapons to assist himself, he would probably be in the rescue hero category. Perhaps using his quirk as a distraction to help others run away and/or to buy some time, or perhaps act as a beacon if he and whoever he is with needs rescuing?

So I basically have this character whose quirk is that he can emit a quick flash of light which will blind the people around him for about 3-5 seconds. He is not a source of light really. The light he emits is just a flash and theres only so many times he would be able to use it consecutively. ANYWAY I need help. Is there anyway I could improve this quirk idea? My character who uses the quirk was a juvenile who just used his quirk to steal or run away. And now he is in a hero class and I’m having a hard time seeing how he could use his quirk for hero purposes. So should I change the quirk at all to improve it or keep it the way it is? @quirkideas

Hi guys! Just gonna pop in and summarize what I'm about to say: I'm gonna try to queue up some posts and get this blog slowly back running up again!

I've been working on my own ocs and have been quite busy for a very long time overall, so sorry for me vanishing! Not to mention there's so many interesting quirks out there, and I'm not 100% caught up with everything oc-base wise and canon, so I fear duplicated quirks! I trust if I have those issues you guys will call me on it so I can fix them as necessary, though!

But for now I'm gonna try changing stuff. The askbox should still be open, but I won't be posting a lot of submitted quirks, if any at all. That way I'm not upsetting any of you! Stay tuned!

Hey There! I just thought of a Quirk Source i haven't seen much. A Meteor Quirk. Do you maybe have any ideas how that could work ?

Woah, an interesting quirk indeed! I had to Google some attributes to a meteor, but here are a few things!- directly summoning meteors from above!- creating comets in colder areas to use!- using other materials to simulate meteors! - a subtype of earth manipulation that can surround the user and make THEM the meteor.I hope these help!#x.a. speaks #quirkhelp

Could you help me with some setbacks for a quirk?? A character with a Voodoo quirk. When she stares at the target, she can inflict damage to them with her own body and control their movements. So far, if she blinks, it stops working and she has to recharge or something?? And if she exerts herself too much, she starts to bleed from the nose or even pass out??

Hello anon! A voodoo quirk sounds interesting, and definitely has potential! As for drawbacks, you could have similar side effects to Aizawa (dry eyes), and perhaps she needs to keep adequate moisture in her eyes to re-use her quirk. Perhaps she must focus intensely, and the longer she focuses, the dizzier she gets, and the pressure from focusing causes nosebleeds and eventually a blackout! Another flaw could be that while she doesn’t have to look them in the eye, she must keep a consistent gaze and one person at a time?I hope this helps!#x.a. speaks #quirk help

Hey, I sent a quirk I made but u didn’t get it so. I’m gonna describe it. I don’t know too many official terms and am new to the fandom so forgive any mistakes Basically, the person can manipulate the density of anything they touch. Like, if they were to use it on themselves, they’d become lighter and could pass through stuff. And become see through ish. They can use on things, air, & people. I need help w flaws. I have one that she gets out of breath if she uses it too much, any suggestions?

Hello, anon! Welcome to the fandom! Things look just fine for now with your quirk, and it does seem interesting! Here are some I came up with!- When she becomes more dense, it slows down her movement and can make her feel weighted down! Not great to use in aquatic scenarios.- When she becomes less dense, she can feel nauseous and have shortened breath!- as a result of the two above, maybe she can only currently use it for a short amount of time per use!- Maybe only for a maximum of two people at a time she can use this on (counting herself), and the effects remain until they are lifted by her or she uses it on someone else!- Maybe she can't control when her quirk activates, so she has to wear extra special clothing like special gloves, even when she goes to eat!#x.a. speaks #quirk help

If I wanted to create an OC where their quirk: the user can create limited amount and project cards in a way that allows them to cut through matter from a distance. What kind of quirks should her parents have to make this kind of quirk possible?

Hello anon! If you are meaning playing cards, then here are some options to get this result!____________________________Card Construction - maybe a quirk that uses nearby materials to construct cards from said objects! Simply going by magic reasons, they will be perfect duplicates resembling playing cards! They can be deconstructed by being destroyed, or by the user’s will.

Aciukinesis Telekinesis - or a quirk that allows the user to sharpen or dull an object via mind power, and being able to have the ability to move objects with the mind! This would likely be a good one to have.

Card Factory - Using slots in the palms of the hands, the user can shoot out cards, which are produced by consuming enough organic matter. Great for magic tricks or distractions!

Object teleportation - Similar to Kurogiri’s Warp Gate, the user can summon objects, as long as they know the location of the objects. However for every object summoned, it must be replaced with the same number of things one has with them. Bring a lot of stuff with you!

The cards don’t necessarily have to be a part of the parents quirk, perhaps it may be an object that the child uses primarily, or works best? As cards are produced in factories, I made a quirk above that could reflect that. I hope these help!

(So I made a quirk called Smoke and Mirrors, and I guess I wanted it to go through a review?) Type: Transformation/Emitter Can put on quite the show. This ability allows the user to make illusions (minor) using mirrors and small amounts of manipulation on the target. The user can also have a glass like body (body turns to glass so it hurts the victim to revive or give a punch) Flaws: if the glass body is broken will taken a lot of them to fix, and to many tricks hurts mentally not physically.

It looks like a solid quirk, though I am curious. What sorts of manipulations, and are these manipulations/illusions projected via the glass? How will the opponent(s) fall under the illusions (via the glass, or something else)? What sort of minor illusions are these, if anything specific? Also, when the glass body breaks, does it hurt?Consider questions like those whenever you make a quirk. As much detail as possible really helps understand the quirk! I hope this helps!
