                                      THIS WAS A BAD TOWN FOR SUCH A PRETTY FACE ;       the junior huntress knew better than to be wandering around on her own, though she failed to heed her father’s warning about not leaving the hotel room by herself. she had never been to mystic falls before, and there was something about this place, something which called to the darkness brewing beneath the veneer of humanity. though she was not part demon, she was not entirely human, either. she, just as her mother before her, had demon blood coursing through her veins, blood of which gave her peculiar and powerful gifts. or were they curses? one could imagine that it was all merely a matter of perception at the end of the day; also it all would come down to how she would put that power to use. would she use it to continue on in her folks’ footsteps of fighting the good fight, or would she perchance channel the dark side just a little too much? it was only a matter of time before she would make that choice. however, tonight was not that night. rather, she would wander throughout the woodlands not too far from where she was staying with her family. blue hues burn bright in the light of the moon as she sensed that she was not alone. sniffing the air, she is almost disappointed when she discovers the lack of a sulfuric aroma. no demons. well, then, what could possibly be out there, lurking about? for just a brief moment, she shuts her eyes to focus her ears, listening to the sound of ripping flesh, of faint, fleeting screams and a whoosh of air. when her eyes open, she stumbled backwards at the sight of a woman covered in blood. inhaling sharply, she managed to pick herself up and pulled out a knife - her only weapon on her person.    “   -- what the hell ???  “
