Me, who hasn’t knitted for close to a decade: decides to make some gloves
Also me: picks the most fiendishly difficult pattern out there
Also me: how the fuck do I cast on again
Many hours and swearing later:
Also me, who has been crocheting (uses one (1) hook) or doing embroidery (uses one (1) needle): why THE FUCK are there so many pointy bits
#double pointed needles PLUS circular needles are very tricky to manhandle#wyndy does art again#knitting#fingerless gloves#fiber art#fibre art#undescribed

Ineffably fitting that I finish crocheting Crowley the day we get the S3 announcement. He is fully wired and poseable, though the pattern also creates the curves in the shaping and he would stand like this with no wire.
Black wool was hell (ha) to handle, but I couldn’t resist a nod to the Starmaker.
We are ignoring the not finished horse in the background.
The pattern itself is by Megan Lapp of Crafty Intentions! Go buy her patterns! They’re magical!

The gloves are in timeout (I’ve had to restart them for 47387484593rd time). New project for Christmas present for my sisters partner!
Should be pretty quick to do, it’s moss stitch (crocheted) and I don’t need to follow a pattern, I just need to do rows until it’s as long as I want it to be

Hi I’m Wyndy. She/her please!
I’m from Australia, and live in the country with my parents on a working farm. We raise cattle and alpacas, and I have six horses, three cats and one dog. My parents have two dogs. Too many dogs.
I write original fiction in my limited spare time - one day I’ll be brave enough to post it on here. Currently my obsessions are Good Omens and The Sandman. I’m also an endurance rider and I work with racehorses. Other hobbies including fibre art and embroidery.
Posts relating to the farm life are tagged #noonamah farmhouse, my art is tagged #wyndy does art again, horses will be tagged #wyndy rides.
Reblogged art should be tagged #this is gorgeous. Sometimes I forget.

And finished!
As mindlessly easy as moss stitch is, this became batshit boring VERY quickly. But a good stitch for watching TV because there’s no thinking involved.
Now just to weave in the ends and wrap it for Christmas.
