…Okay, that previous ask with the JP au for Wuwa has gotten my brain a buzzing with ideas because I am such a slut for dinosaur related anything in AUs! I should be packing for vacay but well, we don't leave until tomorrow. lol

So I hope you don't mind, previous nonnie, that I expand on your idea on what other dinosaur hybrids the other guys in Wuwa could be! Since Scar is already a Velociraptor (best choice imo), here's what the other dinosaurs I can see the other playable men as:

Jiyan: Qianzhousaurus ("Qianzhou Lizard")

It's big, it's elegant looking (also a tad more slender compared to its fellow tyrannosaurs), and can easily fit his color scheme if given the Amazon Rainforest + Papurana skin and pattern combo from JWE 2. Plus it's a tyrannosaurid. It was a decent size with a slim but gracile build that while it was stuck hunting smaller prey items, it could still easily wreck someone's shit when it wanted to and/or if provoked. So Hybrid!Jiyan could easily hunt to provide and protect his and Rover's babies with ease. >3c

Calcharo: Carnotaurus ("Meat-Eating Bull")

…Okay, this one is a tad self indulgent because I love Carnotaurus and I just cannot see Calcharo as any other sort of hybrid, maybe. Carnotaurus had itty bitty arms (Calcharo here keeps the beefy arms, don't worry!), sure, but it likely had an acute sense of smell, very unique horns and muscular build (maybe for fighting others of its kind?), and likely well adapted for running so could have been the fastest theropod out there. Give it a plain Yukon River skin color with no pattern (or give it a Rana pattern) from JWE 2 and you'd get an easy Hybrid!Calcharo who while an aggressive bastard, gives nothing but love to Rover and any young they have.

Aalto: Yutyrannus ("Feathered Tyrant")

…Okay, yes, another tyrannosaurid, but lemme explain! This dinosaur displayed clear evidence of feathers, which just fits with Aalto in my mind. That, and well, again, tyrannosaurid, so it was a decent sized predator. Plus it might have been a pack hunter (maybe, because allegedly the known three specimens were found together so it is just a theory), so imagining Hybrid!Aalto with other members of the Black Shores working together to care for the pack and the next generation with Rover just works. Also, give him the Yukon River skin and Pelophylax pattern from JWE 2 and you have one handsome hybrid.

Lingyang: Utahraptor ("Utah's Predator")

Another raptor? Yes. I could have gone with Smilodon because it technically exists in movie canon but I'm sticking with dinosaurs for the sake of keeping the dinosaur theme going. Utahraptor was a big raptor (one of the largest in fact), had feathers (it looks rather fluffy in JWE 2), and was likely an ambush predator (kind of like a lion, I suppose?) based on evidence from its leg physiology. Give it a Death Valley skin and Chalcorana pattern from JWE 2, then you have Hybrid!Lingyang who already has several babies of varying ages with Rover with more on the way. :3c

Yuanwu: Herrerasaurus ("Herrera's Lizard")

I have no excuse for this one. lol Herrerasaurus is thought to be one of the oldest known dinosaurs out there, and Yuanwu is a very visibly old man. It displayed a lot of traits found in other dinosaur groups though rather basal since well, one of the oldest known dinos to date. The closest I could give for Yuanwu's color scheme for JWE 2 colors was Mangrove Forest for base skin with a Pelophylax pattern, so that'd give you a Hybrid!Yuanwu who while an older hybrid was well experienced and provides well for Rover and their few but well taken care of offspring.

Mortefi: Australovenator ("Southern Hunter")

I admit, Mortefi had me a tad stumped. I was divided on a few dinosaurs but picked Australovenator because I think it works? lol No one is really sure what exact group Australovenator belongs to, but it was relatively lightweight and might been rather agile as an ambush predator which grabbed its prey with ease. Give it a Sonoran Desert skin and Pulchrana pattern from JWE 2, and you have an instant Hybrid!Mortefi who while small can easily wreck anyone who dares look at Rover and their babies wrong.

…Okay, that turned out longer then I was thinking, but fuck it! Inspiration knows no bounds in this house!

I just got around to reading this and holy shit I love the ideas you came up with! I don't really know much about dinosaurs, so I kept stopping to google things and you were really spot on about which ones matched! I'd love to hear any more thoughts you might have!
