#Repost @christianmmeier ・・・ Could this possibly be the best race bike I have ever ridden? The final bike in our Operation Heart of Steel series with @columbus_official brings us a stunner from @legorcicli . Though it may look a bit unassuming with its classic looking small tubes and geometry, this bike is a killer! Built with Columbus XCR stainless steel the bike has a lightness to it that I had not yet experienced in steel, though the frame weight is similar to others the properties of XCR give it a much different ride quality. Combining this with the @dariopegoretti Falz Fork and a more race geometry the bike absolutely rips on the downhills and is super responsive on the uphills. We built this bike as a performance machine and we will give the real test when I take it to @haute_route Alps at the end of the month. The rest of the build is finished off with @sramroad Etap, @quarq_official powermeter, @fabriccycling ALM saddle and @zippspeed 202s and finishing kit! Oh, and of course @ceramicspeed BB and OSPW.. . . .More on this bike after a bit more testing, tough job I know… . . . . .

We’ve been sitting on this for a while and think it’s an appropriate question to ask too, especially when rights of BIPOC/WTF folk are being challenged in Vision Zero/Safe Streets and Transit... In 2020, we hope folks are thinking of ways to use their spaces and privilege to lift up BIPOC/WTF folks in their community. . We've had so many great conversations, posts, and lessons to make moves in solidarity. If folks want to learn how to ally with BIPOC peeps for safe streets/ vision zero /or other cycling/outdoors/community/transit movements, we have resources to guide you in our website and Patreon. . Solidarity is a verb. Being an ally means so much more than believing in equality or the rights that others are fighting for, you gotta do the work. It means educating yourself and actually joining the struggle in whatever way you can. . In the meantime, we have opportunities to practice solidarity every day and should ask: How much space are we taking up in conversations? in rooms? in organizing? How do we actively improve access to our spaces or meetings? Our actions? How are our identities taking up space? Physically? Verbally? How much do we know about the people we seek to work with? What are our assumptions and from where did they originate? Who are we leaving behind? . Because much of the work we do is on indigenous land in Turtle Island (so called America) we have to make an effort to acknowledge the original peoples of the area/region/location in which we live, play, and do our riding, and connect with local Indigenous communities to involve them in our work, including elders, and youth. As an indigenous person, I cannot stress that if actions are not taken to center Black and Indigenous voices in your cycling and outdoor spaces, our movements serve no purpose than to center privilege and entitlement of settler colonial values. . A gravel build capable of handling 700x42 or 650bx2.1 . The build is a full Enve cockpit and 4.5AR wheelset. The 1x drivetrain is a mix of Ultegra and XT Di2 with Easton SL90 cranks. Finished off with Supacaz bar tape, Arundel bottle cages, Fabric Scoop saddle and WTB Exposure tires.
