yeah i had the same thoughts! i still don’t get it... even putting my bias aside i still cannot figure out what the rationale was...

manu’s taken pens before and been fine... i wouldn’t have picked him today just because he seemed mentally off. but niklas for sure! and then you’ve got multiple recent world cup winners who have a lot of experience with pressure in the squad... 

and you put roca up to task? the player with the least gametime and support (from a getting-minutes standpoint i mean) and put him in the highest pressure situation you can be in in this sport? it is not clicking... like even if marc volunteered to take it if i were hansi i’d say take a seat sir lol

it wasn’t even like. a second or third pen either but us entering the death rounds... idk! maybe i sound biased as hell but it fr just felt like my man marc was getting set up to fail

I can't believe that adidas has signed Leon to their brand and still dares to make the ugliest kit I've seen in a while, talk about a waste of potential.

I don't think even our finest players can make this jersey work and even if they do, it's still so ugly.

Hello Ava, sorry to bother you for this but I didn't see the match and I'm really curious to know how we played hshshhs.I mean, I know the result (3-3=6? Interesting tribute to the 6 title ✨), but from the state of my social media, I think there was quite a circus during the match...

aww omg you’re never a bother!! sorry i’m a bit late to this so you’ve probably already read up on everything by now but um ... it was just quite evident that we were not at our best (understandable given the lineup, thomas being out, little rest, etc) ...

defense was a mess... i don’t like pinning shit on specific players only but... s-starting-named defensive players........ could’ve done better today is what i will say... although the defense all around was just. no comment. shit midfield with jo out until sometime in the second half and no leon, marc, etc definitely didn’t help matters either...

basically the usual: defense was shit <3

yeah, lucas definitely was a better option to taken the penalty (aren't you supposed to be fierce and fearless, lucas? ).

But, in general, i feels there is a mental block in the team.I think we're going to have a lot of headaches in the next games if we don't change a lot of things....

i know you can’t bully somebody into taking a pen that’s insane but lucas baby what happened to our kamikaze pilot.......... 

in all honesty though part of me pushing for a lucas pen was just me wanting to be able to see both hernandez bros play a part in victorious penalty shootouts in two consecutive days lol

but yes... part of it i’m sure is due to fatigue and exhaustion... and even without the congested schedule it’s hard to maintain quality after just winning the treble so everything’s difficult now... but the tactics or whatever is going on behind the scenes is definitely not helping the situation :( hope it gets figured out soon because there’s always talk about it but little actual evidence that any of our weaknesses are being addressed :/
