I opened my first Skyrim game on my main Switch to get refs for CL and Stalleo (the Switch that has like no storage left, no space to make saves in Skym and also crashes alot for that game) and I took a gander at CL's stats.
I knew they weren't going to be that good cause she was my first character, before I knew what I was doing, before I knew the ins and outs, before I knew to get certain perks in a certain order. I also did not have ANY CC stuff while making her. I made her with just the base game+DLC, so no easy leveling with destruction+UnBounded Storms. I got the CC stuff well after making her OP.
But, oof.
She's a stealth archer who only has ONE PERK that boosts the damage of her bow. Two out of three critical shot perks. NO alchemy perks, poopoo enchanting perks, no destruction perks thus my enchants suck, she had twin souls despite not playing her as a conjure mage (in her story she only conjures weapons, which ofc I didn't have the perk for). Her armour is wack, she has equilibrium, don't know where I got that. None of my other chars have that. I completely forgot about the spell till I looked at it. I had sunk SO MANY perk points into lockpick cause I didn't have Fenrik's Welcome. Also pickpocket, despite not needing to pick pockets. She could take equipped weapons despite that I NEVER do that. Also she had no muffle on her armour, she's supposed to be a sneak but no muffle and she wears heavy armour :') WTF was I doing?
She's level 81 and had only 2 perks to spare. I went to the Summit of Apothryica cause I already completed the DB DLC and got some perk points back without legendary-ing and de-leveling my skills, so now she has like 15. But majority of those are going to end up in like one skill tree, that doesn't fix everything else wrong with her build.
I don't play on her file anymore cause that Switch keeps crashing+no save space making playing difficult. She's so far in the game too :( Her current quest list was SO SHORT. Only the really annoying quests were left and some miscellaneous ones. I've completed just about every main faction except the Civil War and main story. Theives Guild, Companions, Dark BrotherHood, DawnGuard on the side of DawnGuard, DragonBorn, WinterHold College, Bard's College, all completed, special jobs and all. Barenziah's crown is complete. I think she's done every basegame+trio DLC Daedric quest too. But her save keeps crashing and the game takes SO MUCH FUCKIN SPACE that I constantly run out of space to create new saves. Granted yes have ten+ saves (3 or 4 saves on each player profile) but my other switch now has this problem at times, giving me the 'need to delete saves to make new saves' despite only having 3 saves on that total. No other saves on other player profiles.
But wow. I did want to redo her save on my other Switch and seeing how bad I butchered it on her first, makes me more want to redo her 'proper'.

I have always wanted to write a Skyrim X Miraculous fic but i can never keep my attention on it for long.
I’d love to hear more about it if your want to share.
Hi hello yes I'm always down to talk about ML x Skyrim
So basically I'm mostly taking the worldbuilding in the original game, with a couple of tweaks. (Namely that since I'm not constrained by hard drive space and the necessity of actually designing everything I talk about, I'm describing the country and cities as much bigger, but that's pretty standard across non-video game adaptations of video games. I'm also adding at least one cave with an artifact that doesn't exist in game for plot convenience.)
But basically it's going to be set up so that every major plotline in the game "belongs" to one character. So Marinette is the Dragonborn, but the Dragonborn isn't going to become the Leader of the Thieves' Guild, or the Listener, or the Archmage of the College of Winterhold, or the Harbinger of the Companions. Rather, each of those plotlines will belong to a different character.
Archmage: Alya Harbinger: Nino Leader of the Thieves' Guild: Chloé Listener: Luka
And each of them is getting a distinct backstory to match. (Chloé is probably the oddball out of all of those, because her role necessitates that several other characters from the game be cut; I won't say why but her name is switching to Chloé Black-Briar ;) )
Kagami will also eventually become a stand-in for Serana, but that will more than likely be a side story at the end of everything if and when I finish it.
Adrien is also an oddball, in that he's.... Kinda? A stand-in for Lydia? But not really. Essentially, Marinette will start traveling with him at the same time as the Dragonborn in the game would normally start traveling with Lydia (after the dragon fight at the Western Watch Tower) but he takes up a very different role in the story. And like Chloé, because I think his family is so instrumental to his arc, I did find a way to work them in.
Eventually I'm going to totally uproot how the war goes in canon because... well, if you actually look into the in-game Lore™ of wtf is going on in the war, there's no happy endings no matter which side you pick, which theoretically is a really cool choice because no matter what it's going to have pretty intense political implications on what happens to Skyrim and the Empire, but if I rework it to get a True Happy Ending then I can also really neatly tie up Adrien's arc and his and Marinette's relationship.
I love this AU because there's so much room to explore both the worldbuilding and the characterization/relationship dynamics, plus I'm working with a lot of tropes I've never had the chance to before, like found family and "there was only one bed"
But most importantly: Nino is Alya's werewolf bf, and what more could you want.

If y’all were wondering wtf
I like Khajiit and was thinking about my Khajiit from a tabletop game who was made in the Skyrim game.
His name is Z’arin and he’s The Last Dragonborn’s younger adopted brother and he’s a monster. He loves skooma, and is straight up an addict, and there is no reason for it, he just is.
Altho if there had to be a reason it’s because The Companions wouldn’t take him, mainly because he couldn’t get into Whiterun as the guards refused him entry based on race.
He was adopted by the Nord family Hearthsung as a kitten when his older sister Skjota found him in the wild, mistook him for an animal, and brought him home to Markarth. Formerly he was a member of The Mane’s guard, an attempt to gain notoriety so he could join The Companions (or more accurately be allowed into Whiterun) but was fired six times.
He’d forgotten he was fired the next day because skooma.
He has a penchant for immediately activating any scrolls he gets his hands on, and when he managed to sneak into The College of Winterhold he poured out all of J’Zargo’s potions onto the ground, whilst the courtyard was full of antronauchs he’d conjured (through the aforementioned scrolls).
On one occasion he snuck into an Imperial Stronghold, insisting, “Eet ees I, Carl...... From..... Watch Tower!”
Z’arin is a garbage fire and his boots never match the rest of his gear, and rarely each other. As well, he wears his family’s old heirloom armor, as it won’t fit Skjota.
His specific subrace as a Khajiit is Cathay-raht, but he is somewhat small, as Z’arin was largely malnourished as an infant. Currently, as an adult male, he is roughly the size of a smallish Orc.
While in Cyrodil he was arrested for destroying a cabbage cart.
That’s where the story began....
Here’s some pics under the cut!
Oh wait, that ees Carl, From Watch Tower, how’d he get in here?
If you stuck around until the end here’s some fun trivia: Z’arin is not even remotely fluent in Ta’agra, and in fact even added the Z’ prefix to make his name sound more in-flavor for Elseweyr (Also to go with his self-stylization as a roving Khajiit Warrior). In fact, Z’ is not even a Khajiit prefix, the correct version of what he was going for is S’ but it’s too late. His real name is Arin Hearthsung.

for the games meme: morrowind, oblivion, skyrim! :D
Morrowind
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite
The only thing that stops Morrowind from being a favourite is this fucking NPC. I died so often to this fucking NPC that I stopped playing Morrowind for A YEAR. Also the combat was awful wtf.
In short, fuck you Snowy Granius, fuck you!
Oblivion
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite
I love Oblivion. I think it has some of the best quests in the series. It’s been how many years and I still remember how the quests go. Those fucking Oblivion gates though.
Skyrim
never played | want to play | terrible | boring | okay | good | great | a favorite
I love Skyrim! One thing I didn’t like is I definitely felt the quests weren’t as memorable as the ones in Oblivion, both the faction quests and the “talking to random people on the street” quests. I remember completing the College of Winterhold’s stuff and being like “Seriously? That’s it?” Remember the Mages Guild questline in Oblivion where you head back to SPOILERS and everything is SPOILERS and you’re like “what the fuuuuuuuu--” yeah, nothing like that ever happens in Skyrim.

Skyrim liveblog: Winterhold & magic mods
Winterhold
Ancano was bugged, and I had to setstage in the console... I can't believe the extra locked door is just a dumb activator for their quest...
Both of my highly skilled mage followers insist on using Sparks, the novice level spell, and nothing else in battle. Okay, installing J'Zargo the Magnificent deleted Sparks at least. Ceri heals my other followers but not me. Immersion breaking dumb dialogue and prayers to her Lord Dumbass all the time. More trouble than she's worth... Mzulft puzzle is just the worst... How was I even supposed to figure out that I needed to cast Frostbite and Flames on those lenses?!
I'm listening to the archmage's ghost and she starts another stupid song again, completely ruining the moment -_-
Mzulft: kill and loot everything, wander forever because I want to see how my followers would do instead of quickly killing things myself Labyrinthian: RUN FAST PACIFY EVERYTHING PUT ON DWARVEN HYPERION DON'T STOP
Equilibrium spell tome? Nice! Yay, finally Slow Time! Yo, the mask that gives shout cooldown reduction! But its color doesn't fit any of my sets :( Can't wear the archmage robes with Morokei :( Ah ok, there's a compatible hoodless version. But they don't look good together :( Well, at least the pretty garden is mine! Mwahaha! I didn't install any of the college improvement mods because they replace the garden, wtf would you do that
"I've been reading about some of the Daedric Princes in your mythology" WHAT "MYTHOLOGY" I'VE MET LIKE ALL OF THEM WHO WROTE THIS MOD
I want a mod to rebuild Winterhold now that I finished the questline. Ruins of Winterhold makes me think... The architecture of the college and the town itself doesn't match! Winterhold is a basic wooden village like many others, the college is made of stone. A giant stone wall in the college's style, like in the Ruins of Winterhold mod, looks fitting for a capital (see: Solitude, Windhelm), but clashes terribly with the rest of the town and raises the question: what were these shitty houses doing here in the first place? The collapse was only half a century ago; the remaining buildings should be sturdy.
Now that I'm an archmage, time to install some cool spell mods! I've ignored Spell Crafting all this time, but I looked at it again and it looks like a must-have, maybe even too op. My current creations:
Dawnguard Sunless Spell (since I don't know the sun damage cantrip yet):
Fire Damage
Health Damage
Magicka Damage
Heal Self
Kill & Soul Trap (for animals):
Damage Health x 3 (they stack, right?!)
Damage Stamina
Soul Trap
I also made a completely OP buff spell (courage, fortify health/magicka) and it costs nothing for some reason, and also ended up in the destruction category despite having no destruction. In fact, all of my spell ended up in destruction. And count as purely destruction spells for magicka cost reduction enchantments. So wearing my 1% destruction cost armor set, I can cast my illusion/restoration buff almost for free. This is completely game-breaking. Maybe because it's a scripted spell? What if I tried to make an engine one? Nah, I couldn't make it work at all. What a shame, I was really excited about this mod. I guess I should look into Fast Cast for combining several spells without cheating. Oh wait, Fast Cast and Smart Cast are two different mods...
Oh great. Apparently Spell Crafting and Smart Cast don't work together. Smart Cast only allows me to select my crafted spells - and not even all of them, only two. What the absolute hell... Hm, maybe the problem is in the load order? I have Spell Crafting and then Smart Cast. So maybe Spell Crafting overwrites some list of spells so Smart Cast can only access what it wrote? I remember someone saying that Smart Cast doesn't detect Spell Craft-ed spells, which must be what happens when it's loaded first. Let's swap them. Nope! Still detects only the custom spells from Spell Crafting.
Okay, I'm tired of this nonsense. Let's try Spell Research. I want to craft a Paralysis spell.
Alembic seems useless... But researching Expert level spells gives a lot of xp. Made Alteration, Fire & Forget, Aimed thesises, all Expert. Let's see if this works!
Nope. I guess one in-game day of studying doesn't allow you to craft a new spell! Lol.
Oh I know what I can do! Craft a set with fortify magicka, so that I can study more per day.
Wait, I don't have a fortify magicka enchantment?! How?!
Ah ok, I do but it can't be put into the body slot.
Okay, I have 624 magicka now. Nice.
Yooo, I've completed Paralyze!
I studied for so long that all plants in my little garden grew back! Love being an Arch-Mage! If only I could study that hard irl... :D
Okay, no more aimed expert alteration spells. But self-targeted expert alteration gave me Ebonyflesh! Nice.
Aaand that was the only self-targeted expert alteration spell.
Expert alteration aoe gave me Ash Rune. Umm... Maybe I shouldn't have imported DLC spells lol. I haven't even stepped onto Solstheim yet... Does this mod give Dawnguard sun spells even if you're not in the faction, too? I guess it makes sense...
Alright, let's furnish this place a bit! Added: storage for alchemy and crafting; anvil (fuck immersion! if the arch-mage wants to craft something in her quarters she should be able to!), spell crafting altar (even if I'm not on good terms with this mod lol).
"Pity I was unable to assist, but I was... otherwise occupied" Uh? What were you doing, Phinis Gestor?
Grimy Skill Expansion's spell weaving looks interesting, but it can only be installed with other modules, and one of them replaced my alchemy tree with its own :( Go away! Sure I can remove all of that in TES5Edit I guess, but I don't care about this mod enough to go through so much trouble.
Wait a sec! Smart Cast does detect spells which I'm holding while opening its MCM! Ah yes. On the third try, I notice: "To get some spells or weapons up and running with the mod you have to equip them to your character first, powers are supported but shouts are not." I should read mod descriptions more carefully...
Smart Cast: Invisibility & Muffle on stealth work, but Fast Healing on health threshold doesn't :(
From Spell Crafting forum thread: "Also, keep in mind that the alteration armor would only cut the cost of alteration sub-spell. The way it works, is the script calculates the effective cost of individual sub-spells, then add them together, and it takes away your magicka." Well why doesn't it work for me, then?!
