Will hadn’t dated much ever since he finished undergrad. Working part-time at the nearby free clinic, chugging his way through medical school, and taking care of his golden retriever didn’t leave much time for anything else.

Then, when he met Nico, he decided he had to make time.

They’d gone out a few times - for coffee, then dinner, then a walk through the park (which was really just the scenic route between Will’s last class of the day and his job, but he’d been dying to see Nico for days). And it was on that walk that Will realized something. If Nico was willing to meet up with him just for a walk through the park, maybe he wouldn’t mind if the next time, it was a dog park. And if they wanted to have dinner together, maybe they could have dinner at Will’s apartment.

As long as Nico liked dogs.

Will really hoped Nico liked dogs. Because Will really liked Nico.
