1) yuugi. game fiends. standing weekly appointments to play games. yuugi is always a sympathetic ear and kaiba is always challenging him to take his game design to inspired new heights

2) atem, especially as back from the dead and absolutely thriving with the new life he can make for himself, untethered to history and destiny, hand-crafted exactly how he wants, and kaiba is VERY curious to see what he comes up with, so atem knows he can always text kaiba and be like, “let’s go to burning man next year” and kaiba’s like, fucking superb, you funky little pharaoh

3) isis, as like, drinking buddies. they hit up domino’s fanciest wine bar and she laughs as he complains about mokuba hitting his rebellious teen phase. sometimes rishid comes too, and he tries to give more serious advice, but on two glasses of wine isis is a chatterbox and kaiba is moodily eating grissini

4) anzu, because she’s always giving him shit, but if he asked for a chance, she’d give that to him in a heartbeat. they don’t really “hang out” but he always makes a point of taking her out to dinner or catching a show whenever he’s in new york and it makes her feel bizarrely awkward sometimes, but she appreciates it
