Mr Love: Ike’s Choice Pt 2

Warnings: Blood (but just a scrape), fluff, possible grammar mistakes, and cliff hangers :P

Chapter One:

“I-...” My voice cracked under the pressure of his intense, sincere stare. I couldn’t focus and almost couldn’t take how dazzling his smile was. He was so handsome in person. My idol was right underneath me. Was I too heavy? Maybe I should have asked whether I could touch him first. The first time I met my idol, I crushed him with my body. Way to go, Ike. Who knew all I needed to do to meet my idol was to have him almost get hit by-...?

“I wouldn’t have had to save you if you had paid attention.” In a flash, my once dreamy eyed expression was replaced with one of anger. Kiro gave me a look of fear, “Do you know what would have happened if I hadn't been there?! You could have been killed!” 

“Well then it’s a good thing that at least one of us was paying attention!” Kiro chuckled nervously as if trying to cut the tension. I deepened my glare and prepared to lecture him more…. But I couldn’t. His soft, apologetic eyes and sweet smile melted away the last bit of worry I had clinging to my heart. I loosened my expression with a sigh. I pushed myself off the ground and offered Kiro a hand up. He gladly took it.

“Thank you!” He sang as he started patting the dust off his body.

“Please be more careful.” I said in a softer voice as I stepped behind him to grab his hat from the ground, “I may not be there next time to save you.”

“What?! Aren’t all heroes trained to be there to be there to save people in need? Of course, you’ll be there!” Kiro sounded like a child reminding his parents about Superman's ability to fly. I turned and raised my eyebrow.

“Hero?” I rolled my eyes, “Please. You're the hero. You save lives everyday with your talents.”

“Don’t flatter me.” Kiro chuckled, “I didn’t save a superstar from their inevitable doom! You saved me! You’re my hero!” I felt my face flush. Did Kiro just say I was his hero? “You’ve even got a mask on to protect your secret identity!” I blinked and felt my head. I still had my helmet on. In the rush I must have forgotten to take it off. I felt my face grow even hotter as I moved to remove my the strap under my chin. Kiro dove at me and took my hands. “What are you doing?” He laughed, “You’ll reveal your secret identity to everyone on the street!” He playfully smiled at me. I looked away from his eyes. Any more of this and I would melt into my shoes.

“I-” My eyes strolled down his body and stopped at Kiro’s elbow. A droplet of blood fell from it. My face went cold and my brow fell into a furrow. Kiro followed my eyes to his arm. He lifted it to reveal a patch of bloody skin on the base of his elbow.

“Oh!” He laughed reassuringly, “I must have skimmed it when I hit the ground. It’s no big deal. I’ll be ok!” The way he had framed the explanation made it seem like all the fault was on him even though it clearly was my own. I pulled a handkerchief from my blazer pocket and pulled his elbow towards my body.

“Some hero I am.” I gripped as I cleaned the blood from his arm, “A real hero wouldn’t have let you get hurt.” I folded the handkerchief and tied it around the wound. Kiro tugged at the bottom of my helmet to face him. He gave me a look of judgmental sympathy.

“If I had to choose between a scratch and death, I wouldn’t even hesitate to choose the scratch.” he gave my shoulder a pat, “Don’t give yourself a hard time, Super Stranger.” I nodded. He was right. I had nothing to worry-...

“Super Stranger?” I said in a judgemental tone.

“Yeah!” Kiro proudly beamed, “An awesome superhero like yourself needs a cool superhero nickname! So you are,” Kiro posed heroically and deepened his voice, “SuUper Stranger!!” he looked at me with a large smile and expectant eyes, “Do you like it??”

I stifled a laugh as I opened my mouth to respond. Before I could though, I was interrupted by the beeping of the light beside us, letting us know it was our turn to cross. I placed the hat back on Kiro’s head and pushed him to the cross walk. He threw up his hands and laughed.

“OK, OK! I’m going!” Kiro started walking on his own as I looked down at my watch. 2:50. I grimaced and hurried past Kiro and down the crosswalk. “Woah hey!” He called after me. I ignored the calls and ran to my bike, not noticing that Kiro had started running to catch up with me, “What’s the rush?” I opened my mouth to answer but froze.

“I-... just got an alert on my superhero scanner built in my helmet.” I teased, “Another civilian needs my help.” Kiro laughed as he caught up and ran next to me.

“Sounds important!”

“It is. The jobs of a business could be at stake.” I finally approached my bike and threw myself on top of it.

“Well, when can I see you again?” Kiro huffed slightly as he slowed his pace and stood next to me. I looked at him and raised an eyebrow.

“You… want to see me again?”

“Of course! You saved my life! I want to repay you!”

“Your gratitude is enough.” I say as I put the keys in the ignition, “Besides, your music is the reason I’m still alive today. Consider it even.” I started up the bike. Before I could push off, Kiro put his hand on mine.

“Can I at least return your handkerchief?” He called over the roar of the motorcycle. Even when he was screaming at me, charm dripped from his every pore. I felt my face burn. He really did want to see me again. I looked down as I racked my brain for ways I could let him without letting our little game of “guess who” come to an end. He saw me struggling and laughed. He reached into his jeans pocket and pulled out a small card. He also pulled out a sharpie and sketched something on the card before handing it to me. I reached for it and read the front. It was his business information. Kiro gave me his business card.I flipped the card over and saw what he had scribbled.

Here’s my cell phone number! Just in case you want to avoid my agent :P

  I gave Kiro a shocked expression.

 “Call me if you ever need a sidekick!” He smiled brightly. My stare lingered on him. I wish this moment could last just a little longer. But all good things must come to an end. I gave Kiro a firm nod as I put the card safely in my blazer pocket. I zipped up my leather jacket and patted it to show him it was safe. He nodded and took his hand off mine. “Besides,” He called as I prepared myself for push off, “You still haven’t told me how much you love your superhero name!” I rolled my eyes playfully and, leaving Kiro answerless, I pushed off my motorbike and sped off to LFG.

 I stood quietly in the elevator to the LFG building. My heart was racing, and my palms became sweatier the more I stared at the passing floor numbers. If I had just had another hour to prepare... I squeezed the handle of my briefcase tightly, hoping it would soak up some for the sweat. It didn’t. I cursed at my father’s horrible communication skills… and at the lack of absorbance of leather... but all that escaped my mouth was a soft sigh. It felt like that was all I had been doing that day. Sighing helplessly at the events I was thrust into. I rubbed my temples roughly as an attempt to suppress my phoenix of a headache. Today had already been one of the longest days of my life… but it wasn’t all bad. I felt my blazer pocket for the card Kiro had given me. It was still there. Just feeling it gave me a sense of calm and eased my tension headache. If Kiro believed in me... if Kiro believed in Super Stranger, I could get through anything. 

The elevator doors opened and I walked out of them.  Just a few more minutes and I can go back to work on that stinkin report. I thought to myself as I looked down the hallway in front of me. All I have to do is discuss politics with a tycoon. This should be a breeze… I’m going to kill you, Bart.

After what seemed like a long journey, I arrived at Victor’s office. Without giving myself time to start second guessing everything, I approached the secretary’s desk just outside of the door.

“Ikamara Bakira here to see Victor.” I said in my most confident voice. The secretary looked up at me with a look of vanity. I gave her my best ‘I’m not here for your bull so don’t give it to me’ face and folded my arms against my chest. She cowered slightly and nodded.

“Y-yes. I have you right here.” The change of her attitude was almost humorous. “I will inform the CEO of your arrival. Please take a seat.”

I nodded and eased up my stance to sit in one of the rows of seats just outside his door. I breathed deeply as I pulled my long, bushy hair back in a bun. I pulled out my notes from my briefcase. Though I wrote them with a shaking hand, they were well kept. And though I memorized everything I had written; I studied the notes.

I was there for quite a while before my studying was finally interrupted by Victor’s office door opening. The man coming from the door slunk quietly out of the office and scanned the room. When he locked eyes with me and smiled. He wasn’t Victor. He wore a blue striped suit with a blue tie. His brown hair was short and combed neatly to the side. His smile gave him an approachable appearance.

“Hello!” He happily said as he walked towards me. I stood and accepted his outstretched hand, “I’m Goldman. Victor’s Personal Assistant. Are you... Ike?”

I nodded and gave him a firm handshake. “Nice to meet you. Though you aren’t the man I was hoping to speak to today.” I retracted my hand from his and folded my arms. I looked behind him impatiently. “I was told my meeting with Victor would be at three. Was I told wrong?”

“No no.” Goldman gave me a reassuring smile, “You are here right on time! The boss’ previous meeting has run long and he extends his apologies.” Goldman noticed my impatient glare and quickly added, “Is there anything I can get you? A magazine? A coffee? How ‘bout a-”

“I could use a coffee.” I interrupted quickly rubbing my eyes. My headache was back. Goldman nodded politely and turned to leave.

“Hold on.” I grabbed his arm, “Do you have… any advice? When it comes to dealing with Victor that is.” Goldman looked taken aback by how forward I was being. Still, he quickly recouped and gave me a sweet smile.

“The boss may seem intimidating, but he really isn’t all that cold hearted. Smile! There isn’t anything to worry about.” Goldman gave me a reassuring pat on the shoulder. I gave him a cold look. “Or not!” He quickly retracted his hand, “You can be super serious too! He might respect that more!” I gave him a cynical look and folded my arms. He nervously laughed for an uncomfortable amount of time before finally clearing his throat. “I-I mean… I’ll go get that coffee.”

Goldman hurried off. My eyes followed him until he had disappeared. I redirected them back to the notes I had set down. Maybe I should keep-

My thoughts were interrupted as Victor’s office door flew open again. This time a lot more aggressively. Another man stomped out of the room, throwing the door shut behind him with a resounding bang. His suit was sweat stained and wrinkled. His face was twisted in anger as he stormed down the hall and out of sight. The secretary cleared her throat.

“Victor will see you now.”

I slowly nodded and picked up my notes from the chair. Shuffling them into the correct order, I placed them back into the briefcase and closed it. I walked to the door with the briefcase in hand and took a deep breath. That day had been rough but that was where I could turn it around. I was going to seal that deal and walk away from here with my father on the phone congratulating me… or, at least, that’s what I told myself. I put my hand on the doorknob and twisted it open.

MLQC Boys and PDA

Kiro

Before going public, Kiro has to keep the PDA down to a minimum. Can’t have people making assumptions and starting rumors. 

He does try to be sneaky about it though. Like stealing a kiss while no one is looking or reaching for your hand to give it a firm squeeze before letting it go. 

If he’s really feeling cheeky, he might cop a feel. Maybe give your butt a nice firm squeeze right before he has to perform/do a shoot.

Once you two go public, Kiro is all over you! Kisses, hugs, hand holding, ect. 

He’s very touchy in general and loves linking his arms with yours as he drags all over the place. 

The type to hug you from behind and rest his chin on the top of your head as you both are looking the menu in some fast food restaurant at 2AM.

Showing Kiro any sort of affection turns into a competition because he’s just like “Oh? So you think you can give me all this affection and I sit back and do nothing?!”

How to get him flustered? Lean in for a kiss in front of his production team and see what happens. 

Gavin

Despite what most believe Gavin is a very affectionate person. 

He doesn’t care about what people think!

If he wants to give you a kiss or hold your hand then he’s going to do it. Only way he’ll stop is if it makes you uncomfortable. Otherwise, he’ll do as he pleases to show the love of his life some loving. 

His favorite form of showing his affection would have to be kissing you. Whether its on the lips or on the cheek, he just can’t help himself. 

“People are staring? Let them...”  Then he proceeds to smother you with a bunch of kisses just to spite the onlookers. 

Can sometimes get carried away in his efforts, so you might have to reign him in (if you want to). 

Practically melts when you show him any form of affection in public. 

You could be standing on the tip of your toes with puckered lips, wordlessly asking for a kiss and he’s just a blushing mess. 

Victor

Doesn’t do a lot of PDA, but when he does do it, his actions really make your heart flutter. 

You could be anywhere and he’ll just randomly take your hand in his and press a soft kiss against the back of your hand. 

He doesn’t do it on purpose but his random acts of affection out in the open often leave you flustered.

Imagine being at an event with your arms linked with his and while he’s in the middle of talking with a business associate you just happen to look up at him with a smile and suddenly you feel a pair of warm lips pressed against your own. 

By the time your brain registers what happened, Victor’s focus is back to whoever he’s talking to while you’re standing with heated cheeks and a frazzled brain.

Likes having your arms wrapped around his whether its when you’re at an event or walking through the streets.

While Victor isn’t the type to show it often, he LOVES it when you’re affectionate with him! 

Lucien

While he doesn’t show affection openly often, he’s not opposed to it.

70% of the time loves doing it to tease you. He likes seeing you get embarrassed. 

Usually lets you take the lead, like with hand holding or resting your head against his shoulder when you’re having a picnic or seated on a bus. 

When he’s not in a teasing mood he often finds himself reaching out to caress your cheek. 

He finds in comforting to know that while his hands a covered in so much death and destruction the purest thing in his life can never be harmed by him.

 His heart swells if you lean into his touch with a soft smile but it confirms his beliefs.

Shaw 

This man doesn’t give two shits about who’s watching or who has something to say. 

He likes to think that if he’s with someone then why should it matter if others look down on them just for showing their love for one another. So any glares, he’ll just shrug them off. 

Is all over you whenever he feels like it. 

A big fan of hugs from behind so expect a lot of those. 

You’d be surprise with how affectionate Shaw can be. You’ll be sitting at a bench at a park and he’ll have his head resting against your thighs while looking up at you. 

You’ll be gently stroking his hair and he reaches up to touch you randomly. 

Might make a comment about how soft your thighs are before getting up to kiss you.

Has a habit of taking your hands in his and playing with them as he’s studying or going over something for his next gig, so its not uncommon for him to reach for your hand while you’re both sitting at a cafe.

Gets really smug if you openly show him affection, but on the inside he’s practically beaming with joy.

My girl and favorite internet twinnn Katee!! Okay okay so I love fangirling with youuu so let me askkk, what are the things you like the most about Gavin and the least?? Do you think in real life you would work better with someone like him or Kiro?? This are the important q u e s t I o n s 👏🏻👏🏻😂💞

So what do I like so much about Gavin? Well, I think it's mainly how he cares so much about MC. Like he spends so much time worrying about her, more than the other LIs, it makes me all sofffttt inside. Lucien is a creep, Victor is more like "You need to stand up for yourself" and Kiro is the fun friend. Gavin is the best friend that will always care for you, no matter what.

You can see that from the very beginning. When MC meets Gavin and shows a bit of her bias, Gavin brushes it off. MC is a bit awkward with him but he's still kind to her, even if it would make sense that he would take it as offense. And after that it gets more and more amazing: Gavin calls MC on so many times to see how she is, and is always there for her. I just love this part, when Gavin hears something off about MC's voice and asks her what's wrong, to which she answers:

Like just from her voice Gavin can tell that something's wrong, and he asks her what it is. And he doesn't let it go, because he cares about her so much. I just abahaudhs. XD

I think the reason Gavin gets me so much while Jaime didn't (sorry Jaime! ❤) is because of his relationship with MC. Jaime and MC were best friends for years- there's no doubt about that. They would always be really close. The only uncertain aspect in theur relationship is what kind of closeness they share- whether romantic or platonic.

With Gavin, on the other hand, everything is so much more complicated. He knows MC sees him as a friend, but he doesn't know how much of a close friend. He doesn't know how much MC would do for him, but he still gives her nonetheless. Jaime would always know that MC would give him as much as she could, but Gavin doesn't have anything close to this guarentee.

But he still gives her SO MUCH. It makes me so soft. 😍

And the part in one of the previous City Stroll quests when he describes her music as warm? Ahhhh =D

Music is one of the purest ways a person can express themselves and who they truly are. And he listens to the tune and says it's so warm. Ahhh he truly loves her.

Anyway... now the more problematic side of Gavin. What are his disadvantages?

So ok. I don't know him that well, but from what I do know of him I would say that Gavin is very forceful. You can see that in one of the past City Stroll quests when he gets angry at an innocent passerby who accidentally pushes MC. But what really bothered me was a scene from one of his dates (I think it's called 'Starry Date' in case anyone reading this doesn't want spoilers).

In a way, Gavin and Kiro are complete opposites:

Gavin is a broody guy who would do anything for the people he cares about, and Kiro is a sweet and charming guy who's kind to everyone.

Gavin is more devoted, but that's only because he sees only a few people as part of his world, and he would give them the world. Kiro, on the other hand, sees everyone as part of his world, so he may not do as much to the people he's really close to.

Both of them are shy: Gavin doesn't talk much about the way he feels, preferring to show it through actions rather than words. Kiro, on the other hand, gets shy when he says something nice that means a lot more to him than just a kind sentence. For example, when he says sweet sentences about how important MC is to him.

I just think that part was a bit too much, even if he meant well. 

Like he attacks her like that just to teach her that lesson. Don't get me wrong, he has a point, but I didn't like how forcefully he did that.

So yup, so far Gavin's main disadvantage in my eyes is how quickly he can resort to physical violence.

Now... final question! In real life, would I be closer to Gavin or Kiro?

Okay. So in order to drag out the suspense I'm first going to analyze both of them.

Anyway, that's a bit of comparison! Now time to answer: would I get along better with Kiro or Gavin?

In all honesty, I think I would much more likely get along with Kiro. Irl I would take Gavin's aloofness probably as anti-socialness, so I wouldn't really try to get to know him. Kiro, on the other hand, I would more likely approach. A kind guy who's sweet and caring and sees me as important enough to spend time with? I would never say no to that! =)

The only reason I may have picked Gavin above Kiro is the potential of deep conversations. But I believe Kiro could also talk with me about deep topics, so IRL I would 90% choose Kiro. ;)
