Again, I'm cheating a little. I picked up FALLING KINGDOMS a few years ago literally because the cover was so striking. The rest of the series covers are just as gorgeous. I've yet to see any covers that impress me more. For today's #WriteLifeApril we're talking #poetry. I chose More Strong than Time by Victor Hugo (1802-1885) because I'm weird like that. Without having some background on Hugo, one would think he'd written this to his wife--but it's likely it was to his mistress of 50 years, Juliette Drouete. Oh, and Hugo had a foot fetish. Kinksters, unite! Originally written in French, Andrew Lang (1844-1912) translated into English.
