Garrus x Nyreen: Well, since they never met in canon you have to make everything up... I’m picturing the OTP and BroTP occurring under completely different circumstances. Both sound fun!

Romantic version: Nyreen as that recon scout. They’re twenty or so, they really enjoy competing with each other, they keep getting into fights about politics, the relationship ends either due to too many political disagreements or because she was sent to the Cabals and they lost touch.

(No, she’s not “canonically gay”. She’s canonically attracted to at least one female-ish, rather alien alien. No reason you can’t headcanon her as also liking men, if you want.)

BroTP version: Nyreen doesn’t die, winds up joining the Normandy instead, they hang out.

Both: Garrus is helping his girlfriend kick Cerberus off Omega and is a bit startled when his ex shows up. Both of them go “you left the Hierarchy and did what?” They work well together, Nyreen doesn’t die, Nyreen winds up on the Normandy, they keep working well together, the fact that they used to have a lot of really awesome sex is only mildly awkward.

Samara x Aria: Well, the modern versions are probably more interested in killing each other than anything else, so that’s a NoTP. Maiden rent-a-thug Samara though? I could definitely see her and larval-version Aria as comrades, maybe close friends, high chance of random "I’m bored and you’re hot” sex.

Aria x Wrex: Past BroTP’s pretty near canon, and present BroTP sounds interesting (no reason they couldn’t get back in contact once that volus died). I wonder if she helped him take over Tuchanka? Sent him weapons or similar?

I can’t see them ever having a serious romantic relationship, but I could see something sexual going on before the duel. Aria actually does seem more attracted to women than men in canon, but still, maybe that’s just with humans - certainly there’s no solid evidence against her being into male krogan.

I don’t know if I’d write it romantically, but I don’t mind the idea of Wrex being Liselle’s father. They decided to have sex one last time before the duel, and Aria decided that if she won she wanted to keep something of him... imagine Wrex finding out he’s got a kid, sort of. (Although Tevos as babydaddy might have more potential plot-wise?)
