Dragon Training - Lesson 30
Today we'll be covering a relative of the famous Night Fury: the Sand Wraith.
Being Tidal Class dragons, Sand Wraiths can typically be found on or near beaches. They are semi-aquatic, and can hold their breathes for long periods of time underwater. They're also medium-sized dragons, meaning they can easily carry a human or two on their backs.
Sand Wraiths are feisty, fast and extremely agile. Instead of regular fire, they shoot hardened balls of sand surrounded by weak fire. They are experts at camouflage, burying themselves in the sand to wait for unsuspecting prey, or to avoid getting sunburn as their skin is sensitive to the ultraviolet rays.
If you like the beach, and want a dragon that looks a bit like a Night Fury, Sand Wraiths are perfect you. They're also relatively easy to train, although they have no special hacks like some other dragons do.

if u were stuck on a desert island and could choose only one stargate character's specific skill set to adopt for survival, who would it be?
i'm going to start by ruling out mckay. while his skillset includes "genius" it also includes "is hungry a lot" and "sunburns easily," neither of which are good things to be on a desert island. i am already hungry enough and burn easily, i do not want to be more susceptible to these things.
i kind of want to say that one wraith from "the defiant one" because he did pretty good on his own in a desert for ten thousand years. then again, i'd like to get off the island, so no.
teal'c is probably the best answer here because not only does he have basic survival skills, but he's a jaffa so he has better health, and if there's no way to build my way off the island (because if we're assuming this is your basic desert island, then at best you've got the materials to make a small raft) then i could probably use some of that trademark Teal'c Strength to swim across an entire ocean to shore. i'm sure he can do that.
alternate answer: daniel. i could just die and ascend and then come back to life.

I gotta ask how bad are Vals tan lines? Bc crop top under bolo jacket leaves a lot of skin and imagining his tan lines makes me giggle
HFJSJE I had some thinking about that actually
During his Bakker and Wraith times, boy was always outside and was used to the sun, was tanning normally
Once arriving at NC tho, he spent most of his time inside on his computer doing hacking stuff
So when he meet with the Aldecaldos and start hangin out outside again, he's pale as fuck, and get sunburns easily before actually getting tan fhkskfjfvjs
#Kind of sunburns where you press your fingers on it and it leaves white mark for a few seconds#AND IT HURTS LIKE HELL TOO#but since his forearm are syntskin cuz of the Gorilla#only his face and tummy/back can get them#and hes not the type to stay in one place so its Rare u know#BUT STILL HAPPENS AND WHEN IT DOES HES ALL GRUMPY AND SHITTY HE HATE#when he do tan corretly tho yeah his lines are fucked lmaoo one band around his belly#Valentin da silva#RVC00N LORE#Ask#Anonymous

oooh! beach episode hc for wt papara? or frans?
Wraithtale’s story begins on the first week of June, so there’s gotta be a beach episode in there somewhere.
It’s less of a just Frans and Papara thing, and more like the entire group has some fun out of it.
- The entire gang goes: Sans, Papyrus, Frisk, Chara, Undyne, Alphys, Mettaton, Muffet, and Grillby.
- Frisk and Chara can’t get out in the sun, so they have to wait for a cloudy day in the forecast so they can be part of the beachy fun.
- Muffet provides the wraiths with swimsuits. The girls know how to swim, but, uh... during those times on the mountain they swam in the nude. So yeah, they need swimsuits.
- Papyrus and Chara are the ones doing all the swimming, though. Along with Undyne making competitions out of everything. Alphys splashes around a little, but mostly stays on land. Mettaton doesn’t want to get his hair wet, so he just lounges. Grillby doesn’t know how to swim and is too embarrassed to say anything. And Muffet is parked under an umbrella because she sunburns easily.
- Even so, just about everybody is wearing swim wear except Sans. He doesn’t want to show his arms and the salt water would undoubtedly aggravate his wounds, so his shirt and jacket are staying on. That, and he’s self-conscious. Because he still thinks he’s fat and unattractive.
- Undyne: You could at least take off your shirt and keep the jacket on? Isn’t that how you sleep anyway? Sans: you wouldn’t know that if you hadn’t just barged into my room that one time. Undyne: Why are you still upset over that?! You don’t have any tiddies to see and be embarrassed over- Sans: can we please stop talking about tits?!
- Everyone has fun though for a few hours. They were going to spend the whole day at the beach until the sun set, but then some unexpected rain forces them all to pack up and have to leave the beach. Since they’re all together, though, they decide to make an evening of movies out of it.

so, for a while, seek to know no more of me and mine, but trust me with all your loving spirit {misc characters}
She knows she shouldn't trust anyone. On a good day, she knows to be wary, but she can't help it. There's still the lingering memory of... something, something beyond the nobility of Mama, the same nobility she now could lord over so many. It's been so long, but she thinks she remembers what it's like to have nothing, to want for everything, and so she can't help herself when she's told some sad story by one of the girls who works in the factory. Ainsley, that's the name she gives after months of stealing away, out from under Mama's prying eyes. Eleanor does her best to hide her true nature for her, says that she just can't get away during the day without being asked too many questions, makes sure that she's had her fill before meeting with Ainsley. But beyond her condition, she trusts the girl with everything, anything.
JJ is a good humored man, and by all accounts anyone could make him laugh. But anyone who's stuck around the riverboat long enough knows that there's a difference between a laugh and laughter. JJ shares a laugh with plenty of the gamblers that come and go, the hustlers trying to make a pretty penny of the wraith or his vampire employers. But true laughter... That's harder. There was a man back in the Western Territories, one of the Sheriff's men back in the town he used to live in before. Kaden Galloway, a prankster if there ever was one. Jeremiah was a little more open back then, spoke more, and always was willing to give Kaden a nudge or two if it meant helping the others loosen up.
She will never admit it to anyone, but the list of people she'd kill for starts to grow the second she steps off the Siren for the last time. There are vows muttered under her breath and shouted to the tavern five ales in – she will never be like Murphy, that damned dirty dog of a pirate, that drunken asshole, that rat bastard. She'll never let herself become him, and in that moment she knows this truth and yet doesn't – she will kill for her crew. For every single person that followed her off that cursed ship and onto dry land. For every single forsaken soul who helped her get the Lily. And she watches as the modifiers change, as she starts to find new people. Siran will never admit it to anyone, but she'll kill for any asshole who manages to worm their way into her heart (as if that's some sort of challenge, as if that's not something that so many have already done without her realizing it).
Family. Bryn knows what the word means, so she knows that technically Kilian isn't family. He's not blood, as if that wasn't obvious by the fact that he stands over double her height. So many people thought she was dumb, tried to explain it away somehow, as if she wasn't always fully aware that he was the adopted duck of the family – not the odd duck, that was always her. They were a family made of black sheep though – Val the studious quiet one who was in her head more often than not, Kilian the totally-not-a-human who was quick to offer a kind smile and soft word, and then her. Bryn, the trickster, the prankster, the one to lay all the blame on. But her brother was always so patient with her, so willing to put up with her tantrums and her anger where even her sister wasn't. The three of them could have been a force for amazing things, and looking back, Bryn sees where it all went wrong. She visits his grave now every month, leaves a short message written on his tombstone with the very chalk he gave her so long ago. “So, I was out visiting with Stalar's newest students the other day. You'd like them... They were all quiet and everything. Doing the meditations that he teaches without getting even a little restless. Man, I almost wish I'd been better at those, bro.” And when the silence answers her, she swallows back the I miss you so much and reminds herself that she has a sister to take care of.
When Alondra was young, there was a boy in the town she was raised in. Pietro was a few years older than her, and her caretakers at the monastery were certain that she would fall for him. They used to tease her relentlessly about it, offered to help perfect her concoctions so that she could give one to him, to impress him. And she never really understood why, not at first. Because Pietro was a good person, the kind who came to church regularly and who made sure she was alright when she burned herself trying something new. The two of them became close quickly – she learned all about the world from him. See, his father was a sailor, so she heard all the stories from him after his father returned. She hung on every word, and in return she taught him some tricks she'd picked up: how to cool and calm a sunburn, how to keep hang-nails from forming and tearing, the best way to clean glasses if they were fogging up. The two of them continued like this for a long time, until a woman came for Alondra claiming to be her sister. Now it was her turn to go on adventures. She offered to take Pietro with her, but he remained. Now, they exchange letters and save the good stories for the days when Alondra is back in town.
You're not supposed to be jealous of your best friend. He knows this, and yet he can't help but feel a pang as Galatea so easily navigates the world they've found themselves in. There's nothing wrong with staying back with the farm, Kairos knows this. He knows this just as much as he knows his way around his drum, his lyre, his home. But she's seen so much more, and there are parts of him that know he will never get to experience what that's like. Still, he can gather stories, and if he raises his voice to his friend, it's only because he knows that she'll forgive him as easily as he forgives her. For anything, for everything. It doesn't matter; they are friends and sometimes that means bickering like his yaiya and papou and sometimes that means her knocking him on the head so he'll come to his senses, and sometimes that means him holding her back from pummeling some poor man who has the gall to call her all sorts of names. And sometimes, just sometimes, it means the two of them staring up at the starry night and letting the somber peace settle between them in silence.
