Loki's arc is so beautiful and so, so tragic. He's always been a favourite of mine because of his story and now??? Now I am in agony and I'm not even mad about it.

The symbol of the Ouroboros is so prominent in the second season and it's so well explored. It's established in the time-slipping in THE VERY FIRST EPISODE then it's BROUGHT BACK AND ITS LIKE. WOAH. Loki is pruned, but we do not see by who. Sylvie is there, and Loki has no idea why. We don't either. Sylvie's being at the TVA at the same time as Loki's past self in the future is what sends Loki off on his journey to find her and that's what sparks a lot of the show. It's the Ouroboros. It occurs slowly throughout the show, and the last two episodes are just so. yes.

Loki's arc is not only going back to just what has been explored in that season specifically, but it goes back to who Loki was at the beginning of the show. It goes back to who Mobius was at the beginning of the show, and the TVA.

It goes back to Loki's arc before the show even began. It goes back to when Loki's greatest desire was to be King, was to rule the world with the power he thought he deserved. He got that wish, but it came at a greater cost he could have fathomed. It came at the cost of the only people that had loved him for who he was. He is selfish; he wants the companionship that he has come to depend on. He doesn't want to be alone. He no longer wants that throne.

But he was right when he said that his Glorious Purpose was to rule. Time may be a web that can be weaved and its strings may be changeable, but one will always be caught in that web like an insect, always ending up in the same destination. Loki may not want to be alone, but he sits on a throne overlooking all that has been, all that is, and all that will be. He sits on this throne, and he is alone.

Ouroboros; the snake eating it's own tail. You may fight for something, your views may change, you may love and you may be loved, but you cannot escape. The inevitably of time is impossible to defy, even for the God of Stories. Glorious Purpose is a burden, and with it will bring loss. Whether or not one will accept it is up to them.

i've had people treat me visibly different after hearing my voice or seeing my face as if i'm some sort of predator or interloper. this attitude towards amab trans people especially nonbinary people really paints a picture of what the lgbt community thinks of gender in general

Gen Loss is just so freaking amazing to watch. It’s not even that there was development, it’s that Showfall decided to shut him down. Their compassion, their remorse, the entirety of his human emotion, all of it gone because of the press of a button. Because they can do that. They can control whoever they want, whenever they want, because this is their world, is it not?

And when Ranboo returned to himself when the TV person came back, everything fell out of place. They knew everything now. The things they had done. The things Showfall had done. The way that they were so out of control.

I’m not expecting a breakdown due to the realizations next episode, at least not at first, because Showfall will definitely have reset the mask, and by extension, Ranboo, but I’m hoping that as the show progresses Ranboo can absolutely lose his fucking mind.

the fact that ranboo was so terrified in the beginning with charlie and having to cut him open. the fact that by the end he had no reaction to anyone dying. his mask turning off and him being exposed to the horrors of what showfall media is doing- not just that, but what he’s been doing.

they’re just- gosh they’re so good at acting, downright chilling but also their npc attitude is hilarious in a frankly terrifying way

also, austin knew about the bury your gays trope, that’s why he was insistent on having a wife and kids the entire time /j

It is so cool! The mask controls Ranboo, keeping him blinded to the things that are happening around them. When the mask was reset just before the museum room, you can see that Ranboo’s mind is no longer his own. His words have become clipped and things that should have sparked compassion, shock, anger, disgust, any human emotion, result in nothing. He is nothing. Which is exactly what they want.

I never even thought about that, but it makes so much sense that I don’t want it to be true. Poor Charlie:/ the dude’s been through too much and we’ve only known gl!Charlie for like 5 hours

That’s what I love about the show as well though. It gives you just enough information to draw your own conclusions, which makes them more heart-wrenching than if you had just been told outright.

the one(1) line of evidence in question: when being asked about who they were before before all the showfall stuff, ranboo said they were in a cabin (ie the first episode). charlie said he grew up in a cabin. (and when hetch repeats "in a cabin," charlie stands and starts pacing.) additionally, in charlie's room in the first episode, there's a school photo that ranboo and sneeg specifically point out as being weird.

he's consistently been the most willing to play the part assigned to him, even if it meant letting The Hero give you an impromptu dissection, because That's What He's Always Done. he was never just charlie until ranboo snapped him out of it directly (and even then, it didn't seem to hit him until that conversation with hetch.)

yes that One Sentence that's driving me up the wall could be a miscommunication or me misunderstanding but I simply don't care this is canon in my heart. cc!charlie loves giving his little guys horrible horrible reasons for being silly goofy and I don't think "kidnapped as a child and forced to endure this shit his whole life" is far fetched

Niki’s one of my favourite streamers and I hate how many people filter their perception of her to just see one thing. As someone who is very present online, of course she is going to choose to keep things private and of course she is going to have a life and personality traits that she doesn’t share much online.

She is so so much more than just nice though. She has a real fucking personality and the fact that people don’t see that makes me rlly upset bc it’s just. Idk.

Anyway I’m definitely also going to cosplay her genloss look, I love both it and it’s implications so fucking much.

i have been also thinking about it n just how it fits so perfectly into the storyline (and have not been waiting for an excuse to rant about it).

I genuinely love the song and just wanted to see one of my favourite songs in one of my favourite shows, but now I also think it works so beautifully with Good Omens s2, aside from just, yk, being a Queen song in a show that heavily features Queen songs.

Overall, the song is about perseverance in the face of hardship. When everything you know is falling away, you're still managing to hold on to yourself. You don't know what the point of anything is- or if there even is one. You're coming undone, but you're stronger than your adversaries. You are still alive.

Now, specifically in Crowley & Aziraphale's case, everything they have built for themselves, the world they saved as a team, as a group, a group of the two of them, has been ripped away.

The two of them had saved the world together. They were able to 'settle down', as much as two immortal beings that are never actually going to be free from the chains disguised as the watchful eyes of heaven and hell can be, at least. They weren't necessarily happy (Crowley asked what the point of it all was long before 'Jim' showed up on Aziraphale's doorstep. Aziraphale seemed happy, but I'm not entirely sure.) but hey- they had eternity, and they had each other. They'd be fine.

But in the span of perhaps a week or two, they both lost everything. Aziraphale was in heaven, away from his bookshop and his best friend, in a place that he had never belonged. Crowley, who had already lost his home and had no real friends, had lost the one person that he had always put above everyone else-- including himself, but that's not the point of this post.

The point of this post is that regardless of the fact that both angel and demon have lost everything, and are themselves lost, time will go on. They will go on. The Show will go on.

If they have The Show Must Go On in any part of the show I will actually lose my shit. Like, it just fits so beautifully and yea. Good Omens s3 will definitely have Crowley & Aziraphale dealing both with their own fallout and the fallout of the Second Coming. Regardless of whether they are ready for it or not, time will move forward, and it will bring the End Of The World- for a second time.
