We always enjoy working with one of our longtime clients, @Microsoft. This week we are socially activating their #WPC13 conference which hosts over 16,000 attendees from over 160 countries. (at WPC 2013 - Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference)

Microsoft WPC, day two. The full story

After a very intense first day, today is the ‘in-between’ day. As Jon Roskill mentioned wisely, good for catching up, networking and checking out the exhibition market. So,that is what we will do.

The first session we attend this morning is called: ‘How to win the CRM opportunity and a whole lot more’ and was hosted by Kris Lawson. For me as an outside sales guy these sessions are excellent opportunities to watch and learn. The presentation focused on the uniqueness of Microsoft as a partner and the strength of Dynamics CRM.

After an interesting PowerPoint presentation the session became very interactive. Partners were sharing success stories and questions were fired at Kris and Brian.

Now it was time for some networking for Ryan and myself. And seeing what the exhibition market has to offer us.

Meeting all our ISV partners in person was very valuable. We spent  time talking with the Experlogix team, discussing their plans for the coming fiscal year and catching up on current sales cycles. We also stopped by the Click Dimensions booth and all our other third party add-on partners.

On the market we ended up at the Dynamics stand. Here we were able to try out the new Dynamics CRM 2013 version! Bill Burton from Microsoft answered most of our questions. As he has a technical focus, the best new thing for him was that the email router will now be fully integrated.

We also got a first impression of the mobile app of Dynamics CRM. It was demonstrated on  Surfaces.

We finished our visit to the exhibition market with a brilliant demo of the Windows Phone capabilities. The reason we joined the session was  because they were giving away two Windows Phones for free! There was insanely positive energy in this demo.

  Instead of winning a new windows phone the presenter made me assistant. I got to pick the old iPhone, Blackberry or Android that could be exchanged for a new and free Windows Phone. There was only one rule, the old phone had to be put in cup of coffee!

We decided to call it a day and after enjoying a nice American Mortons steak. We could not be more satisfied with this second day at the WPC.

Tomorrow morning, on day 3 the WPC will continue with vision key notes. Looking forward to hearing Kevin Turner speak!
