detectives and beach au hm! sounds like a job for racer and albert.

the pair is 17 and set up a stand at coney island to solve “cases” for tourists or new yorkers coming down south of the central city. they’ll find your kid for you, or your lost iphone, or get guys to stop looking at some girls weird. teenage heroism stuff.

one day, beautiful stranger spot conlon comes up to their stand and she informs them that her best friend has been missing for a few days and the cops won’t believe her. she’s been doing her own work for the last couple days and doesn’t often ask for help, but she could use the extra eyes and ears. and her best friend was last seen at coney anyhow.

of course the missing best friend is lucky… because lucky straight up “disappeared” from uksies when lillie-pearl inherited clarice’s role as spot lmao.

they end up uncovering something bigger: that lucky isn’t the only person to have disappeared recently while at coney, and there’s this strange scattering of boulders under the boardwalk like someone was trying to crawl through- or out.
