not sure if the full link is posted yet? here it is
Have to admit i'm not a fan of Zoran that much because his and Till's working relationship pretty much seems to amount to, as i see it, "how can we get Till hurt in many different ways" (which i'm not really into), and especially when the BJ at a Rammstein concert was used at a Lindemann concert (for me it had made all the difference if they shot the BJ at a Lindemann concert) and a fan asked Zoran on IG 'did Rammstein know about it', he replied 'they do now'
As for the reason Rammstein not working with him anymore, we had the rumour first that it was because Richard was disagreeing with Zoran about the cost of an Emigrate video, now we have another explanation (the band being jealous of Till's solo succes): i would like to know the other side of the story, so from the band's point of view. But also...does Zoran see himself as the reason for Till's succes, why else would Rammstein stop working with Zoran be because jealousy of Till?
Zoran has also previously shared his opinion about the Deutschland video (all style, no heart, or something like that), and i happen to love that video, as well as pretty much all the videos of both the Untitled and Zeit albums, so i guess i disagree with him on that too.
But what i don't really understand from this interview is Zoran talking negative about Till...i thought they worked well together? Saying the videos Till does without him are Rammstein on Ali Express? That Till sees that but only says it when he's drunk? Till only sells books because of his huge fanbase? And seeing the recent allegations against Till saying 'he is really so controversial and dark in private'...why would you say that as a friend?
But it is interesting that he also draws the parallel between Till and Marina Abramovic, i'm not surprised by that comparison, i had the feeling earlier that Zoran and Till were going for an Abramovic vibe in their work..
"A Serbian website, kurir.rs, interviewed Zoran Bihać during his visit to Belgrade's FEST film festival. Among others, Zoran discusses Rammstein, his work with the band and Till's solo projects, provides details on why he stopped working with Rammstein explains the story behind the videos for "Platz Eins" and "Till the End". He also shares an intimate story of Till Lindemann's visit to his mother's house. Excerpts:
"Till pushed me, I pushed him, we were a perfect symbiosis, but a bit brutal. I worked with him honestly and wholeheartedly, and he with me. What he's doing now with other people is like Rammstein from Ali Express. He sees that too, but he only says it out loud when he gets drunk."
"When he went into a solo project, it was in a way the breakup with Rammstein. That's why I wanted to do videos for his independent project in a completely different way. I made a music video for the song "Praise Abort" with a message explaining that situation. The video starts with "Rammstein Till" and then "solo Till" comes in with a pig face and kicks him off the stage. A lot of people didn't understand that. After working on Till's solo project, the other members of the band told me that I would no longer do Rammstein videos. They couldn't handle Till's success without them. So they decided to stop working with me. Till knew that, but I didn't, that was the price I had to pay."
"People only see what is brutal, the scenes from that video ("Till the End" - ed. note) are images from their nightmares. They don't see what I wanted to say with such a video. It is a story about a man who is always hungry and, no matter how much he eats, he cannot be satisfied. And he is the loneliest man in the world and he cannot find the love he is looking for. A lot of people understood that, but we didn't want to offend anyone with erotica, but only to cause a shock. It created a lot of problems for me in Germany, several jobs were cancelled."

Just need to go rabid a bit...I am LOVING Flake's solo stuff!
I am by no mean a Christmas person, and when I first heard he was making what was essentially a "Christmas album", I was filled with dread, but then I listened to the new songs and ARGHHHH.
It's like he's made this just for me, picking out my predilection for bitter (with a side of sweet) Christmas songs, and serving it alongside a lot of tasty Flake weirdness. I never listen to Christmas songs until after Dec 13th, but I've had these on repeat. Quite easily has become my favourite solo project from the Rammstein bros, and I've only heard two songs. Kills me to not see many talk about it. I simply cannot wait to see what else he's got in store.
Anyway, just wanted to scream for a bit. Thanks for listening! 😁
Same here ❤️ not a christmassy person myself at all, but this is so Flake, and so bittersweet that i just love what i heard and saw until now ❤️ Can't wait to hear the rest (and wonder how many videos we'll get)

Sure it doesn't seem to het much attention, the Rammstein fandom is always a bit quieter when Rammstein isn't releasing new stuff or playing live, but it's lovely to see Flake out and about so often these days..
So lovely for him to have the support of so many of his old friends, some of whom he already knew in his Feeling B days, when he would just show up at other people's practice rooms and play along 🥰

When you call my name. do you think I'll come running? { chapter 7}
+ If i only could I'd make a deal with God I'd get him to swap our places.
Alcina dimitrescu x fem!Reader
Warning: pre-grief, depression, slight sadness, extreme rage, LOTS of angst, extreme plot twist, talk of suicide, slight fluff. { read chapter 6 here }
A/n: I just wanted to start off by saying thank you to the people who showed utmost appreciation to this series and interest of it continuing! I never actually thought this series would hit it off! And it warms my heart to know so many of you are interested and it has captured the attention of your heart! Sorry for the long wait in chapter update! I know it's been almost five months since i last posted CH. 6 and I sincerely apologize! :). This is a bit lengthy so I had to split it into two parts so, chapter 8 will be a bit short!! Love you guys enjoy!!.
Today no one spoke..... no one moved.... no one even dared to blink or breathe too hard. If you were ever to be caught dead in the sight of Lady Dimitrescu who knows what she might do to you..... Perhaps Rip you in half?, shred you to pieces?, pull your throat out?..... well no one wanted to be a human experiment, therefore everyone kept their distance away from the lady and her personal space. Her rage is not one to be tested and neither is her faith. She's like a lion, sly in the shadows but dangerous in light, she couldn't be trusted then and certainly not now. Ever since you left she's been acting as a fish out of water.
She never left her office or the castle itself and when she did, no one could be able to point out her emotions. She'd always dress in her usual formal black dresses and Veil hats that covered three quarters of her face. Her elegant walk and perfectly fitted gloves, only God knew what monster hid behind the poker face of 'Countess Dimitrescu' .
The entire castle was silent - completely silent. You could hear a pin drop. Make noise and your dead, make one slip up and show weakness or incompetence and your also dead, no one wanted to be alive in the same place where " Countess Alcina Dimitrescu " also lived. The villagers who'd usually bring fresh food and fruits to the castle heard of the matter and started delivering their pastries at the back door, too terrified of the wrath she held for anyone who may know what she's going through or even the smallest detail of your whereabouts.
It was a mad house at castle dimitrescu, maids started whispering rumors and stories of how the lady was going completely mad and turning into some sort of witch or dragon - if that's even possible, at night. Some say she flys over the village howling and puffing looking for her.... lost one.... but that's not true..... right?.....
It was 10:05 am, the lady drinks tea at 10:00 am, the lady's tea is five minutes late.... why because the poor little tiny girl who's job is to bring the raven hair goddess tea is scared out of her mind to so much as to stand infront of her door, she's done this a million times, so what's holding her back now? Maybe the fact that no one knows where her fate might lie after the woman opens the door, perhaps only mother miranda will know.... but she's a topic for another time.....
The girl took slow strides walking up to the lady's door as the tray that laid in her hand containing the lady's tea shook vigorously as a result of her nervous system failing her, cold sweat dripped from her forehead as her lips quivered and shook.
One
Two
Three
Knock, knock
Her shaking palms returned to her side as she sighed a breath of pure fright. For two long , minutes there was complete silence, no movement, no breathing, no sign of other recreations, nothing, absolutely nothing. And just as she was about to leave, hoping the lady thought her ears deceived her, there were loud thudding foot steps. No exaggeration used, the tall woman's footsteps were loud and massive. They spoke of frustration and pure rage. The young girl then again started struggling to breathe.
As the footsteps got louder and closer she managed to bow her head just in time when the lady opened the door. Suddenly the girl was taken back when an impossibly human surviving air hit her skin. The air was cold and thick, she could easily tell that the lady in fact hadn't left her room in a while and there was no ventilation happening in there. It felt as if someone had truly died, as if all life was lost, and the world had truly ended and all love was forgotten.
" yes, what is it, can't you see I'm busy?!" her voice was cold, brutal and hoarse, it showed no sign of life, love or even integrity , instead she sounded bitter and cold as, if she was the first person to ever be born on earth and everyone else were just a burden or her just her unwanted ornaments.
" f- forgive m- me my lady i-if I'm wrong but- you have wine with your b- breakfast, and tea in t- the mid afternoon, m- my lady" she wasn't wrong... in fact she's one hundred percent correct, but when your life is at stake you try to minimize your talking and smart mouthing - simply being correct. Again there was a long pause of utter silence. The girl couldn't even hear the lady breathe above her , it was as if she wasn't there at all, if she wasn't quite literally staring at her heels she would have believed she had returned inside.
Besides from that she couldn't even hear herself breathe, she minimized her heart beat and lungs respiration so low that it felt as if she was dying, her chest started to burn, it was as if she wasn't breathing at all. The girl heard a sigh of frustration before a loud slam of the door infront of her.
Well.... it's better than having your throat ripped out and being made into fine Romanian wine then being sold to the market.
Alcina sniffed walking back towards her desk. she held onto the rim of it for emotional support. She bit her lip as it quivered, while fighting back tears. Your voice rang through her mind, you were like a ghost, invisible with high amount of impact but held powerful memories. Alcina couldn't function or focus the way she should be. You were the only thing she thought about, the only person she ever truly loved or cared about besides her daughters. And to have you pulled out of her life by the hands of the person she hated so greatly made her feel as an failure even more.
It ate away at her heart to know that if you had died - as miranda said you did, that means that you spent the last few minutes of your life probably cold and afraid, thinking that it was her fault. But regardless, what ate her up the most was the fact that you died with holding her hand, without her being by your side until you took your last breathe. It wasn't fair, and it was her fault. It is her fault. After all she is a monster.
' Monster '
' Your a monster '
' No one loves you '
' Your the reason she's d- '
" SHUT UP" alcina picked up her vanity and threw it across the room with great power, breaking it in half and slightly cracking the floor of her office. That's definitely gonna need fixing.... which means someone will have to visit the castle. She didn't want any guests or company, not because of the rumors, or the uneasiness you felt as soon as you stepped foot into the palace, no alcina was bigger than that, what she wasn't bigger than was herself.
Not her literally self, the one she saw when she looked into the mirror, the one she felt 24/7 weighing down her shoulders, the one she heard most of the time.....her entire life, the one she felt deeply inside waiting to be unleashed, to be able to set the world ablaze and get rid of all human beings. The one she was called...... a monster..... this part of her..... this was the part she wasn't bigger than.
No matter how much she tried, no matter how much she fought..... it ate her up inside..... her inner soul was bruised, scared, busted, call it what you want, but the truth was she fought to keep the outside going strong and tall. While the fire was running low she fought to keep herself elegant and up right. Good Posture, perfect teeth, phenomenal business, respected name. All of it was just a show that people got to tell. What people failed to realize was that although Alcina may be dead on the inside..... she's still human.....
She still loved... she's still cared, for God's sake. This was the part of her she just couldn't get rid of. The weight of it all soon caught up to her and it and not light at all.
She missed you.... so so much, beyond explanation.... beyond belief.... she loved you, every part, your smile, your hair, the way you'd do a little nose scrunch when she tackled you onto the bed, your laugher, your dramatic side eyes when she said something that didn't quite suit your style. She cared for you.... so damn much too. Cared if you ate, if you slept, if you were happy.... and now you were gone.... erased from her memories, from her life.
She longed for you....
You stired as you slowly opened your eyes to see daylight. You blinked rapidly trying to clear your eyes and refocus your vision. After a while of low steady breathing you were finally able to open your eyes completely and take hold of your surroundings. The room was small, it reminded you of the vintage times. It was raged with cigarette smoke and burning medicine plants - too much burning medicine plants. The room wasn't clean but it also wasn't the tidest.
There was a small bed on which you laid on and another which was empty, there was another room connected to the room that you were in that had a beaded curtain handing before the entrance. From the view that you were sitting you could see an old woman slowly moving her hips side to side as she hummed softly to a playing jazz music that your ears couldn't yet pick up. You coughed as you tried to get up slowly, you instantly felt excruciating pain all over your body.
You fell back sobbing as your hands felt utterly weak. You heard small foot steps before seeing a familiar face. It was Carmen. Your mom's old yoga and herb cooking buddy. A small warm smile was plasted on her face as she sat on the stool infront of you.
" Easy now child, you don't want to make this wound worst" she spoke, her voice cracky and faint. She was dressed in a light pink night gown and a soft brown head band with her hair braided in a fish braid. She gently dipped a wash cloth in a bowl of green like liquid before gently pressing it to your wound that was located on your hip. You whimpered softly at the slight stinking sensation before it disappeared as quickly as it appeared. After multiple wips of her cleaning the wound she placed a badge on it.
" thank you carmen" you mumbled, your voice also being raspy from using for the fisrt time since God knows when. The elder woman smile before waving you off with her hand. She got up and and went back into the kitchen.
" how did I end up here?" You asked her before standing since you felt a bit more better now. You heard her chuckle before hearing some pans clack together.
" I found you laying in the forest the other day when I went out to pick berries, you were all cut up and bruised, could have swore you were a zombie or perhaps even a lycan" she laughed before emerging from the kitchen and into another room. You Curiously followed her just to find four small but widthful shelves of books.
She bent down groaning slightly before taking out some books and dusting them off and replacing them, continuing the step for others.
" I hoped you'd wake up soon, when I found you, you had only a faint pulse that lasted every twelve seconds, you were basically half dead. Anyway I need to go to the market, i'm sure you can fend for yourself, you did just fine, God knows how you ended up 36 miles out into the woods" you froze..... did she just say 36 miles..... into the woods....
" am I in south Romanian?!" You asked a bit too loudly. Carmen looked up at you with raised eyebrows.
" yes.... did you forget you and your mother use to hop the river to come visit me for my birthday? Silly girl, yes south Romanian, mother Miranda's old village, the one she used to rule over? Yes my dear" she moved towards the other selve and began packing.
" Carmen! Do you heard how crazy this sounds?! I live in north Romania, you know... where castle dimitrescu is?! " again your voice was on the raise and she didn't quite like it, but you didn't really care either. She sighed before getting up, she facial expression and body language completely changed into a colder one.
" have a seat child" you compiled before she sat infront if you with a very serious expression. She sighed before placing her hands down onto your thighs.
" your mother died y/n...." your eyes zoned and you swore you could hear your eyes ring as you heard your heart beat slow down. Carmen squeezed your thighs before continuing.
" it's a hard pill to swallow but you better do, my condolences my daughter" she said doing the sign of the cross. Your mother meant alot to you, she wasn't really a huge part of your life, you didn't even remember much of her. You remember being kidnapped from your house one night by mother miranda and seeing the terror on her face before you passed out, and seeing her in a dream once. You've lived in an orphanage for your entire life and that night was the first time that you got back your life to her.
That didn't meant you wouldn't miss her.... you just couldn't find a reason to miss her.... you barely even knew her to begin with.....
" you know that lady people said your in love with?.... you know.... tall, big vampire mommy lady with wings" you gaved her a sarcastic fake laugh before looking at her dead serious. She smirked before continuing.
" there was a rumor that she killed your mother....." you tilted your head to the right, trying to comprehend the information you just received. You shook your head before nervously laughing.
" No that's not true.... it was probably miranda but people are to scared to say that so they blame alcina, they always do that, trust me, miranda was the last person my mom saw so-" Carmen cut you off by shaking her head and tsking.
" No child..... your mother was killed six months ago... and if I'm not mistaken you were kidnapped and forced to work for this ' Alcina' almost two years ago.... look they said it was big boobs vampire lady, bird lady and some lady who's obsessed with carrying her doll everywhere" you were significantly frozened between reality and what carmen was telling you now - which would obviously be a lie.
No one is saying carmen is a lier but sometimes elderly people loss their minds as time goes by - especially is they love to gossip..... anway.... your mom is dead and you felt nothing, you don't even think you miss alcina, now that your away you feel.... nothing..... you don't miss her, part of you don't even seem to care if she's doing ok, it's as if you never loved her.... maybe your body is still in shook, carmen did say that you had been out for two days straight, maybe your sleep dprived and can't think straight or maybe........ no let's not go there.
Carmen could clearly see that you didn't believe her, getting her she sighed as she began to grab her belongs, shoes, shopping bags, bud spray and pepper spray.
" look child believe what you want, don't go cra cra over your mom too much, wishing on things that just weren't possible, i'm off, when I'm back maybe we can make cinnamon rolls and some soup to get you better" she smiled softly at you before leaving a small peck on your forehead then leaving. You decide that your going back to castle dimitrescu, you needed answers...... you demanded them..... and even if it's the last human thing that alcina is capable of doing she will give them to you.
You could feel it in your heart that you were drifting away from alcina..... that spark that you once felt.... that burning passion.... that burning love.... gone....
You didn't have any belongs at Carmen's but you walked with some of her stuff, like water, little protein bars, bud spray and a knife. You left her a note thanking her for her utmost compassion and kindness upon you before starting your very very long journey....

Rammstein - Asche zu Asche live @ Barcelona (11.06.2024) /📹by morgana-lefay (aka, me). Director's commentary:
I love Till's voice here, particularly at the beginning of the video (it's the "rrrrr" on the "Ich komm' wieder" and the way he says "schatten"). It sounds so dark. Love it!
Those two sharing the mic (I think it's what prompted me to start recording, because, at the first, I think I decided I was just gonna rock it all and not film a thing).
Almost didn't get Richard's back voice in the "Ich komm' wieder" part, but you can hear the last one when I zoomed out a bit. Not sure if their mic wasn't working properly at first (Paul does point to his ear) or it was just because I fucked up one of my (new) phone's speakers with all the rain.
You can hear Till screaming one of the many "Vamos" (let's go!) he did during the concert (probably the Spanish word, which we also have in Portuguese, he used the most) when he comes to my side.
Wet Richard™ rocked his ass off (and helped us rock ours) during this song.
Paul kicking his mic stand. Not sure why, but I always love seeing that.
I kinda regret not switching to Flake during his solo/little dance, but I was focused on Till doing his standing thing, which I appreciate very much.
I would have loved to watch the fiery mics, but it did not disappoint! It's one of my favourite songs live too.
In this one I might be caught singing a bit 🙊, but the committed "growler" you can hear is the lovely German behind me. And the screams are not mine. 🤭
P.S - Apologies for all the "grandma on Facetime call" sudden camera movements, but I was really excited about this song, as it's one of my favourites and it was the first time making a video with this phone. 😅

31 Days Rammstein Challenge - Day 21: Favourite Mutter Song
And then we are at Mutter. Of course, anyone who has followed this challenge knows by now that my favourite Rammstein song is Nebel, so of course, it is also my favourite song from the Mutter album. But since it is a bit boring to list the same song again and again, I will choose my second favourite instead.
Mutter is chock full of hits. The singles are lined up at the start of the album. Interestingly enough, my favourites are not among the singles. This doesn't mean I don't think the singles are good songs, they definitely are, and maybe I am coloured by those songs being played more often than the rest.
Apart from Nebel, I absolutely love Spieluhr. The way the chorus comes together, little by little, by adding more elements, is so powerful. In the end, when we get to hear the riff, Till, Khira Li, and the "music box" all at the same time, it's perfection.
My pick for this challenge though, is Rein raus.
The song is heavy-hitting, cheesy, and really funny. I think maybe it's easy to overlook it because of all the other strong songs on the album, but it's my second favourite of Mutter.
Illustration: Rammstein at Brixton Academy in London 2001, by Ross Halfin. Also, a link to RammWiki's video of the full show from Warfield Theatre in San Franscisco during the Mutter Tour, where Rein raus was played. I wish Rammstein would release a live DVD from Mutter Tour, but this recording at least something!

A few hours ago I was reading a thread from a woman who said :
At 30, we are already considered old, so imagine at 60 ! There is in our society a culture of youth put forward by big brands, by the media, especially on the internet (place where "young people" spend most of their time). Youth is associated with beauty, vitality, only positive things, while old age is perceived as negative and ugly... While most "older people" live better and are happier and more optimistic than the younger generations. Stop with age-shaming (as a reminder, age-shaming is discrimination !)
No one can deny the fact that Till and the other members of Rammstein have aged, physically (because frankly mentally they are still big kids). Wrinkles have deepened, hair and beard hair have turned white. But that's where it ends !
Till is full of energy on stage, he exudes such charisma, you just have to hear the screams when he appears on stage or when he passes from one side of the b-stage to the other! On stage, he walks all the time, always in action, headbanging or doing his Till Hammer. Not only does he still have plenty of energy but he remains very physically strong to push the cradle during Puppe, the giant pot during Mein Teil or to carry on his back and climb the two meters of slopes from the backstages to the stage with the 25kg of the backpack on his back. Many "young people" would not be able to do what he does ! He has even gained muscle compared to last year !
And his voice !! My god his voice ! Still as powerful, still as deep and still embodying his song ! It even took on a grain that it didn't have before, which gives it even more charm !
We know that Till is a hard worker (Olaf Heine described him as the "hardest working man in showbiz"), that he works all the time on several projects at the same time, it is a vital need for him. And above all, what is in my opinion the most important, he still wants to be on stage, he still wants to offer us the best show, something that is close to his heart. The day he no longer has this desire, that he no longer has this flame that inhabits him, then everything will stop... And his age will have nothing to do with it.
Till looks super fit on recent photos, people are insane
Hi 👋🏻
Apparently, people have some strong opinions on Till and his aging process yet again, this time over on Tiktok (explained in this post by @rammingthestein). Apart from the fact that I'll never understand why people have no filter online and feel absolutely comfortable to share their unasked for (and most of the time negative) opinions about others, it's baffling to me that once again, the aging process of a grown man is criticized, by people who call themselves fans and are apparently literal children (16 year olds seemingly). I haven't seen these comments (I try to stay away from Tiktok apart from concert videos and memes my sister sends me) so I won't dive into what could've been said too much since I don't have much knowledge of it, all I can say is this:
I saw Till last year live, I saw him this year live twice, one time up close (him hovering on his canon 2 meters above me was a highlight of my existence), and let me you. He seems to be much more energetic than last year, his voice is INSANELY good (to the point that my mom and I simultaneously turned to each other looking like this 😳 when he started to sing at the concert) and this is just one really beautiful man with the most melancholic eyes. Of course he is aging, of course he has wrinkles and such, and apparently also some sort of problem with his hip (at least it looks a bit like it when he walks), but the man is 61. This is normal. Let Till, who had to go through a lot in his life, age in peace.
We can feel quite blessed that all of band members felt healthy enough (physically and mentally) to go on yet another tour leg this year. Let's just leave it there. I sometimes have the feeling that this broader sense of thinking is missing in a lot of (young) people's heads.

Gut Für Dich - Part II - Oli x Reader x Schneider [Rammstein]
Daddy kink, dirty talk, rough groupie sex, threesome. By commission for @bloodandglittertastessobitter! HAVE FUN SEEING THE BOYS THIS WEEKEND BABE!!!!!!!!
Your phone buzzes, and you know who it is even before you look down.
Oli Reidel sent a photo.
Unable to keep the stupid grin off your face, you swipe and open whatever he's sent. It's a photo of him with one hand smoothing over his head, out for a run on the beach in Italy, where they're playing right now. You still can't believe you got the number of Rammstein's bassist, but the more you think about it, the more sense it makes-- you did give those two the night of their lives. That changes your smile a little to a dreamier one as you think of the man you're not in as close contact with: Schneider. He pops into your thoughts now and then when you're thinking of that night, and it never fails to light a fire inside you.
But, you're not about to ignore the prime bachelor on the screen in your hands either. Paying special attention to noting Oli's clothes, you see he's got a tight shirt, hoodie, and grey sweatpants on. Fuck. Grey sweatpants.
You're dressed for winter, you tease him back by text.
It's cold by the beach, he writes back almost immediately.
A few seconds later, a snowman emoji comes in. You shake your head, giggling.
Well, I enjoy the view of your [eggplant emoji] in those sweatpants.
You don't get a response this time-- you assume he's blushing, tucking his phone away, and finishing his run. An idea creeps into your mind as you get up and peel your clothes off. You had just come home from work, and it felt good to strip. Wouldn't Oli like to see? It's only fair, if he got to tease you.
You snap a quick photo, making it look like an effortless pose. It exposes your cleavage in your bra (a little more skin than Oli had showed you) but it would be effective. You send it off, biting your lip, and laugh as you get an immediate response back.
Scheiße.
-You like?
Mhm.
-Have some more.
You take another photo of your hair swept back, bra strap falling down your shoulder. To your delight, Oli finally indulges you with a photo back. You nearly moan. He's holding the outline of his cock through those sweatpants, in public.
Have to find a cafe to cool down from the run, he texts.
From the run, you think with a smirk, sure. You wait a few minutes, and get another text from him.
Send another?
This time, you're a little more daring. You send a picture from the side, thumb barely covering your nipple. Five minutes, and you haven't heard anything back. You continue to undress for your shower, figuring he's probably grabbing a shakerato or something and settling in. Then you get a video notification. Eagerly opening it, your breath catches. Oli's got his cock in his hand, stroking slowly. It's filmed from above, so you can see his face as he licks his lips and furtively looks around to make sure no one is watching.
He's still on the beach in the video, and he rocks back and forth from his heels to his toes in the sand. Your pussy clenches as he jerks a little faster, getting a pace going. His eyes close, and that normally stoic face of his screws up a bit. His mouth falls open, and he seems to be mouthing 'bitte' as he tugs his long cock.
Finally, he bites his bottom lip hard and brings the camera down to catch the cum shot, which spills onto his hand and the sand. His deep breathing and groaning suddenly remind you that you're close just from watching the video, and realize you'd started rubbing yourself through your panties. Oli's finger comes up to catch the last few drips of cum, and you feel a short and sweet orgasm wash over you, quickly replaced by a deep yearning to see the bassist again.
You get a picture not long after, interrupting your shock. Oli is looking at the camera over a cup of coffee.
I am at the cafe now. Enjoy?
You type back.
If I could call you right now, you could hear how much I enjoyed.
Ah, yes. The long distance. Expensive.
He sends back a crying face, which you have to laugh at. You take a photo of your fingers slipping down into your panties, and write:
They're drenched, daddy.
Good, he writes back, and you raise your eyebrows. You would have never guessed the quiet man would have such a dirty, dominant side.
All for you.
-I should hope so.
You bite your lip.
Also Schneider.
A pause.
You miss the two of us at once, don't you schatze? Greedy, greedy.
You exhale shakily, and try to steer the conversation back to relatively innocent territory-- you have to save some action for the next time you see the tall bassist.
How is he? You text.
Keeping busy. Out seeing the city, I think. He likes to sightsee with Paul.
Hm. You imagine what Christoph is wearing today. He's got long hair now, and he probably puts it up on hot days. You think about putting your own hair up, then think of the reason for doing it.
I can't wait to taste you, you write back, going straight for the gut punch.
Planning to soon?
-You never know who you'll find in Deutschland ;)
You look over your shoulder, where your plane and concert ticket are to see the boys in Munich next week. You slip your legs beneath you on the bed, sighing coyly. It's going to be hard keeping this one a secret.
There are Rammstein advertisements everywhere. Billboards in Deutsch remind you of the show you're going to, and you understand the language enough to know they're talking about those who you've become particularly acquainted with. It also helps that this is close to their home, (relatively, even though Berlin is much farther north) but even just being in Germany, you can sense the pride and buzzing excitement around the upcoming show. You feed off of these feelings, excited to see them in person again after keeping in touch for so long.
The show is tonight, so you have to get ready. Checking into your hotel, you get into the bathroom and shower, do your makeup, get dressed just how you like, and pull out your phone.
- Where are you?
Oli writes back immediately. Because of this, you know he's bored. Aimlessly playing soccer behind the stadium before the show starts in 4 hours. Why?
-Have a car come pick me up?
His excitement is palpable even through the response you get, and soon, you're in the car sent by the band's security. When you get there, you're issued a complimentary pass by the Theaterkasse, and escorted backstage. Oli grabs you when he sees you, leaning down to bury his face in your shoulder. Leaving a kiss there where no one can see, he pulls back, and introduces you to a few of the roadies wondering what the hell is going on, and who the hell you are.
"A close friend," he introduces you with that stoic smile of his, and you're just fine with that. At this point, the show is getting close to starting.
"Where are the others?" you ask, still a little intimidated being backstage at a huge stadium in a foreign country. Oli cocks his head, and puts you at ease with an arm around your waist.
"Paul went out to greet the Feuerzone, twenty minutes ago. Till is in his trailer with girls, Flake is still getting ready because he leaves everything to the last minute, Richard is on the computer making music, and Schneider is probably tapping away practicing in the artist area."
"Wow," you nod. "Didn't expect such a well estimated answer." Oli cracks a smile.
"We have done this together as brothers and bandmates for a couple of decades now. I think we all know each other's comfortable routines." He looks at the watch on his wrist, comparing it to the giant hanging industrial clock everyone seems to be referencing back here. "I have to go. The cart will be coming, and the others will be coming by car soon to go up on stage." He takes your hands. "I will see you later, yes?"
You smile up at him. "You didn't think I'd come all this way and not put out, did you?" You actually manage to pull a surprised laugh out of the tall man as he bounds away to find his other bandmates.
You get caught up talking to another roadie for a while, the conversation putting you more at ease backstage, until you hear the sound of deep, booming laughter. Turning, you see a golf cart with all 6 of the boys piled onto it. Till is gesturing heartily and shouting in German, and Paul is giggling at whatever he's saying. Ever the perfectionist, Richard is plucking at his guitar strings and making sure the roadies tuned it right, and Flake is bopping his head to imaginary music that only he can hear in his head. That's when the two of you lock eyes.
Schneider looks stunned to see you. His lips part momentarily as he takes you in, before he's ripped away, the cart driving past you. Till gives a little wave, recognizing you, but Christoph can't move. You can only describe that intense gaze he had given you as one blunt, uncouth word that comes to mind: horny.
Though it's hard to do through the distance and front most members of the band on the stage, you make eye contact with Schneider most of the show. Every time he beats that drum, you remember him in the hotel room with you and Oli. Side stage, beer is available by the keg, and you take advantage of it. It's a paradox: the more you drink, the thirstier you become.
Each song plunges you deeper into relative discomfort, constantly rotating your hips as if it would give you some relief. You hadn't been this close to both of them at once since the hottest night of your life, and of course, your body remembers. It's a sexually charged performance tonight no doubt, and they couldn't look more sexy.
Besides the fact that you're itching to feel two pairs of hands all over you, you manage to thoroughly enjoy your favorite band as a whole. A few songs before the end of the show, you feel a hand on your arm. Jolted out of your awe as if it was the first time, you turn to see a security guard waiting for you. He offers his arm to you, and you follow through the dark.
"Oliver will meet you back at the artist zone," the guard informs you, and his stern manner is the direct opposite of the elation you feel. After being shuttled to the zone where the band's trailers are, you're invited in to wait in the grassy area to sit and relax while the boys take their showers in their respective trailers.
"It feels like it has been a long time."
You turn, and find Christoph, dressed in some black slacks without a shirt. He's drying off his chest with a towel still, shoulder length curls soaked. You tear your eyes off of his body and look up into his blue eyes.
"I thought of you," you tell him. A smirk morphs into a chuckle.
"I thought of you too." He runs a hand through his hair. "More than once." Paul walks out of his trailer in a comfortable hoodie and jeans, and looks between you two. Nodding once, he takes a seat on a sofa between you and relaxes back.
"Ahhh. Would anyone like herbal tea and biscuits?"
"Herbal tea?" Christoph laughs. "Have you become so comfortable in your twilight years that you no longer drink?"
"Twilight years?" Paul giggles. "Are you planning to murder me?"
Schneider mutters a "ja, tee danke" and you sit down opposite the two of them. That's when Oli comes out of his own trailer. The sound of Till's private party going on in his own trailer at the end of the zone makes for comfortable background noise as you, Oli and Schneider look at one another. Paul is humming to himself as he busies himself making tea, completely oblivious. Or so you think.
"Hm. I can feel the staring," Paul murmurs, not looking up from his task. "I know I am short, so thankfully, you are staring over me." The three of you barely hear him, Oli slightly adjusting in his seat and shifting his posture. Christoph's breath catches. Your exhale is audible. "Aha," Paul finally speaks, pouring his drink and standing. "Here is the tea, serve yourselves, alles gut, guten nacht. I am going to disappear now. Bye!"
He waves obnoxiously in front of Schneider's face, who finally breaks his stare and bats the arm away in annoyance. A giggle from the little gremlin later, and he's gone back into his trailer to leave you three to your sexual tension. Left alone, Christoph pats both of his thighs, straightening up his back.
"Komm mit. Sit in daddy's lap." Oli watches closely as you get up. Swinging your hips, you climb over the table and give the two men a good view of your ass in shorts as you do, and finally come to sit on Schneider's knee. His left hand comes up to gently stroke up your stomach, cupping your breast from beneath and squeezing. Your head falls back into
"I wanted to do this all show," he whispers in your ear, cutting off into a groan. "I was desperate to feel you, fuck--" He bites his bottom lip, pressing an open kiss to your jaw. "Schatze, I could feel the thrum of the beat down below... when I was seeing you... I... I am..." he takes a deep breath, squeezing your breast again. He's forgetting his English, so you can tell how aroused he is. Oli shifts again, and you notice the heel of his hand digging into his own lap.
"It's okay," you murmur, "You don't have to tell me. Just show me?" You bite your lip. "Please show me how horny I made you, daddy." Schneider bumps you on his knee gently, sliding you back to fit against him. His arms wrap all the way around you this time, and he kisses your cheek in fevered bursts, rocking you down.
"Feel it, little one?"
"Ja," you giggle.
"Such a good girl," Oli says, licking his bottom lip. "I want to see what you've been hiding beneath that shirt."
"You mean these?" you ask, slowly lifting your shirt. Schneider is lost in his own world of touch as you distract Oli with a little strip tease. His eyelids droop as you finally expose all of them, squeezing your full breasts together. Schneider's hands come up to grope them properly, and Oli's chest heaves at the sight.
"Your tits," the bassist nods. "They are amazing. I could see them..." he swallows, his train of thought momentarily derailing, "I could see them bouncing beneath the shirt. I was hoping, when Till asked all the women to lift their shirts..."
"You were hoping I would listen?" you smirk. Schneider growls in your ear, nipping your earlobe.
"No. Till gets enough pussy. You belong to us." Your moan bites through the night air.
"What is going on out there?!" a disgruntled Flake shouts from his corner trailer. "Wie ein gottverdammter Porno! Till fucking in his stupid trailer, you two fucking out here on the couch. Ich kann nicht entkommen!! Scheisse, ficken aus!!"
"I don't think we should do this here," the drummer finally says, following this outburst.
"Nein," Oli breathes out in arousal, rubbing a hand over his head. With a tipsy laugh, you get up, Schneider holding your hand and Oli steadying you from behind. They lead you to one of the large security detail SUVs just outside the zone, and help you in, one on either side of you.
"To my hotel, bitte," Christoph instructs the driver. "More appropriate I think, than the trailer."
"More romantic," Oli nods, "Ja, ja."
"Here you are looking for romance," you tease, laughing, "I'm just out here looking to get fucked." Schneider groans, and grabs something from the minibar. He distributes three small bottles of expensive looking vodka. You all prost, clink your tiny bottles, and down them. This goes straight to your head, just enough to completely clear your inhibitions-- if you possessed any before. Your hands find their laps, and you start to rub one on each side. Oli starts to kiss up your neck, and Christoph puts his hand overtop of yours, guiding you on him.
"Touch daddy's cock," Christoph tells you.
"Little slut," Oli breathes.
"Please, daddy," you moan.
"Which one?" Oli asks.
"I want both of you inside of me."
"Be realistic," Christoph says.
"Why?" you whine.
"We are German, we are realists," he groans, squeezing your hand on his tip.
"Fine. I want you to eat my pussy while Oli's balls deep in me."
"Oh, god," Oli moans.
"You'll get what you want, baby girl," Schneider promises. "I am swearing it."
The driver lets you off in front of a ritzy hotel that you don't pay attention to the name of. You walk in with a man on each arm, heels extending your legs from those tiny denim booty shorts. You can feel eyes on you, but Schneider's jealousy protects all your best features from getting ogled too hard-- he whisks you away into the elevator, Oli slotting himself behind you. You grind back against the taller of the two, Oli's hands coming to rest on your ass as he pulls you back and works you against him.
"What the hell are you waiting for, slut?" Schneider spits. "Get on your knees." You fall down and do as he says, ignoring the pain spreading across your kneecaps. Further scraping them, you inch forward closer to them, and Oli looks at the elevator button.
"We've got 22 floors to go. Hurry up." Hurried but never sloppy, you make use of your remaining motor skills to unzip both at the same time. You dig into Oli's boxers with your right hand, and let out a small gasp when your left hand comes in contact with warm skin. You glance up at Christoph.
"You think I'd wear anything when I know it's going to come off?" he sneers.
"Whatever happened to the art of the tease?" you smile, wiggling your ass a little before you sit back on your feet. He scoffs.
"Forget teasing. Suck my cock." Grinding down, you take him all the way out. Both men are hard in your hands. You make eye contact with Oli as you give him a quick suck, reveling in the feeling of his dick in your mouth again after all this time. You pop off, kitten licking his tip.
"That good, daddy?"
"Daddy likes that," Oli nods, threading his fingers through your hair. "Mm. Less talk. Get back to work." He shoves your mouth back on his cock, and you focus on breathing through your nose as it touches his lower stomach. Christoph grabs your hair and yanks you back over to him, barely giving you time to breathe before jamming his cock down your throat. You try to continue jerking Oli as Schneider works you up and down himself, swearing and grunting.
"Take it," he snaps, "Take it down your throat, yeah? Good little fraulein." He pulls you off to look at you, and your eyes open blearily, lips parted and swollen with a line of saliva connecting you to his wet cock. "Look at her."
"Gorgeous," Oli whispers.
"I want all your cum all over my face," you blurt, dizzy as hell and loving every second, "I wanna be covered in it."
"Stand up," Christoph says, and you realize the elevator has dinged. Looking back in confusion, you find that the elevator has stopped at floor 19. You quickly wobble to your knees, and Schneider is fast enough to tuck himself back in. Oli isn't as fortunate; he resorts to covering his open fly with both hands clasped in front of him as the door opens and an elderly tourist couple get in.
"Excuse me young man," the lady says to Oli. He looks startled that he's being spoken to, but politely meets her eyes-- if not a little desperately.
"Mhmm?"
"Do you know if the restaurant on the top floor is still open?"
Oli stammers for a moment. "I... I think so, ja."
"I told you it was open, Earl," she mutters to her husband, wagging a wrinkled finger in his face, and her husband cups his ear.
"WHAT DID HE SAY, HELEN?!"
"Open! The restaurant is OPEN!" the old woman practically yells.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY, YOUNG MAN?" the old man yells at Oli. Oli stares straight ahead with burning red cheeks, wishing the elevator would drop to the ground floor and put him out of his misery. Schneider puts a hand on the man's shoulder, mimics eating, and gives two thumbs up.
"I TOLD YOU IT WAS OPEN, HELEN!" You stifle a snorted laugh.
Finally floor 22 comes up, and the three of you make your exit. Oli's hands are on you immediately, as Schneider tugs you in for a messy kiss.
"Why can't we do that with your friend Bill?" Helen asks as the doors close.
"WHAT?!"
Schneider fumbles with the key card at the door, slapping it against the pad nearly 5 times before it finally lights up green. You burst into the room, unable to tell whose hands are whose. Articles of clothing come off, go flying, pool at your feet. When you're sure everyone has undressed, the three of you somehow find your way to the shower, a huge stand-up tiled space with glass walls. Oli hoists you up against Christoph, where you wrap your legs around him in front. Schneider rests back against the wall behind you, pressing kisses down the back of your neck. Oli reaches down, and you feel his fingers slip inside of you, filling you up.
"Such a wet little bitch," he muses, and gently prods your lips open, sliding his fingers into your mouth. You dutifully suck them clean, and Oli fucks your mouth with his fingers for a couple of minutes before reaching down to position himself. When he pounds in, Schneider groans behind you. His own cock is trapped between your back and his stomach, and by the way he's rutting, you can tell he's dying to get inside you.
"Tell Oli what a nice cock he has," Schneider growls in your ear. "Say it, slut."
"Your cock is so big," you mumble, eyes rolling back. Oli draws back then pounds back in, starting up a pace.
"I'm going to fill you with my cum," Oli heaves. He fucks deeper, and Schneider wraps one hand around your neck from behind, biting into your shoulder. You cry out, pain mixing with pleasure, and he squeezes his hand a little tighter around your throat.
"Take my cum," Oli groans, finally holding still deep inside you. "Take it--" He crashes his lips into yours as you feel warmth fill you. Schneider lets you go, instantly taking Oli's place once he takes himself out of your sloppy hole. You nearly scream as Schneider begins to fuck into you mercilessly from behind you.
"You like it when daddy fucks you?" he rasps.
"Yeah!"
"Say it. Tell daddy how full you feel." You let out a moan, and he picks up his bruising pace even more, skin slapping against skin filling the shower space. Oli licks a stripe down your chest from in front, taking a nipple into his mouth and suckling.
"I think, it is no use. She's too much of a whore," Oli tells Schneider. "Can only think of getting pounded in that pretty cunt."
"Is that true?" Schneider asks, reaching around to grab your chin. "Hm?" He gives you a sharp slap, and grabs your chin again. "Speak."
"I need to cu--u--um," you whine. "Please!" This earns you another slap, though you're not certain it's for a good or bad reason.
"Pretty little girl. Tell all of Germany who's fucking you, hm? Scream it out!" Oli continues playing with your breasts as you get louder on command, suckling the other nipple now.
"I'm going to fill you up even more," Schneider growls. "You'd like that? Fill your cunt so nice and full, so you can feel our pleasure dripping out of you later."
"Yeah," is all you can say, and reach back to grab onto the drummer.
"Finish like a good girl," Oli encourages you. He holds your other hand as Schneider stills inside you, adding to the mess as you grind down and finish hard. When Schneider slips out, the three of you slide down to lay on the tiled shower floor. Thankfully, it's large enough for all of you to fit in your sweaty heap of afterglow. Oli makes a feeble swipe at the nozzle, and manages to turn it on, bringing hot water cascading down over you. You let it wash away the filth of the night, feeling right at home between the two men who know exactly how to make you scream.
The hotel staff had upgraded Schneider to a king room based on the sole fact that he was touring with a famous band, so three people were easily able to fit.
"I miss the days of sleeping on the tour bus," Schneider mentions off-handedly. His arm is around you, and your hand is resting against his slowly rising and falling chest.
"Mm," Oli agrees. His hand is stroking hair out of your face on the other side of the bed.
"Isn't this more comfortable?" you ask softly. A laugh comes from beside you.
"A little suffering is good for you," Schneider says, and you can't help but feel a rogue thrill of arousal from that. Oli pats his chest, and you switch to rest your head on his. Schneider slots his knee between your legs, and you sigh. Perfect sandwich.
"Can you cum one more time?" Christoph asks, starting to rub his knee up. "For us?"
"Of course she can," Oli purrs. "She missed us so much. She could cum again and again for us, on command."
"Show us."
You whimper, dragging yourself back against Schneider's knee. You can feel the wet patch you're leaving behind, but you have a feeling he loves it. Oli's fingers come down, touching until they find your clit. You suck a breath in, and the oversensitivity catches up with you. Your orgasm washes over you like a short, refreshing wave, but Oli doesn't stop. This launches you into one more orgasm, the best you've ever had, until you're shaking and your head is spinning. The smell of sex hangs heavy in the air, but it's pleasant. It's a reminder of the dirty night you'd had, finally reuniting with your favorite germans.
"How was that, meine fraulein?" Schneider asks.
"Gut?" Oli asks.
"I never want tonight to end," you smile in satisfaction, and Oli kisses your forehead.
"As far as we are concerned, it doesn't have to meine liebe."

METAL EDGE - January 1998
Just how far should a band go to win over a crowd? Rammstein go further. Some nuisances breathes flames, Till Lindemann sings while engulfed in them. And that’s just to open the show. With only a handful of American dates under their belts, the buzz surrounding German industrial metal giants Rammstein is spreading like wildfire, propelling their Sehnsucht debut to gold status only six months after its release, and earning them the second headliner’s position on Korn’s Family Values Tour. That may seem a bit ironic for a band whose lyrics hammer from brazen metal imagery to treading a fine line between sweetly erotic and disturbing sexual extremes. Then again, when the song titles in question are smash single and MTV Buzz Clip “Du hast” — which translates to English, “You Hate” — and the more provocatively penned “Küss Mich,” “Tier” and “Spiel mit mir” — “Kiss Me”, “Beast” and “Play with me”, respectively — the risk of being too risqué is lost. Rammstein are from Germany, sing in Geman, and according to guitarist Richard Kruspe, who joined me on the phone from his homeland with a translator for a pre-Family Values interview, they write their music in German, as well. Write music in German? Whether listening to their pair of tracks on David Lynch’s Los Highway soundtracks—edits of “Rammstein” and “Heirate Mich”, their American unveilings— or any of the tracks of Sehnsucht, they slam with all the eerie forbidding of a militant strike, twisting American metal and industrial with their foreign flair, for results that crash between hollow hauntings and throbbing mayhem. Live, the six imports from the other side of the crumbled Iron Curtain detonate more explosions than an air raid, and spew enough sexual imagery to dement even the sickest set of Family Values. Behold, America, the wrath of Rammstein is upon us…
PG: Were you expecting to get this big, this fast, here in America?
RK: Yes, we knew right away! (Laughing) Of course, we didn’t expect this. Everybody told us in the beginning that this would never happen, and the project would lead to nothing. But we always stuck to what we were doing, and it was a big surprise that with German lyrics and German music we would make it anywhere, especially in the United States. We feel very honored and proud.
PG: Do you have any plans to sing to American audiences in English? Or will you continue in German?
RK: In the history of Rammstein, there was one time when our record company asked us to translate at least one of our singles into English because they were afraid that they wouldn’t work in the U.S., and we were, of course, curious to do that and listen to the songs in English. The fast was, the U.S. DJs, at radio stations, refused to play the English song, they wanted to play the original German song. That was when I understood that you couldn’t jump from one language to another, because it does change the song. The German language is very important to go along with the music, it fits the music, and is an important part of the picture.
PG: Do you feel odd singing lyrics to audiences that can’t understand them?
RK: It was funny to perform in the U.S., hearing people sing along and knowing that they probably didn’t know what they were saying. But it was fun for us to hear people not singing, but shouting the lyrics. The audiences were emotional, and we were touched by that. It reminds me of back when I was a child, singing along to English songs, not understanding what I was singing, but just singing along because I had to. The same thing is happening now in the U.S., so it’s very nice!
PG: What songs were you singing?
RK: (laughing) AC/DC… « TNT, » « Highway to Hell »…Songs with key words that were repeated throughout the entire song, like our « Du Hast » and « Sehnsucht ».
PG: I was amazed by the extreme sexual content of the lyrics when I saw an English translation. The lyrics are only in German on the CD sleeve too, do you think fans realized what the songs are about?
RK: It come across on an emotional level. The people who sing along get the message, and of course they’re interested in what they’re singing. We believe that the people that are interested enough will translate the lyrics.
PG: So it’s like a humanitarian mission. You’re compelling the American youth to learn German by enticing them with sexual lyrics?
RK: (laughing) It would be very nice! But we’re a band which is trying to awaken interest in Rammstein. If fans are interested in learning the German language, because of the subjects themselves, that would also be very nice.
PG: Wit the sexual content of lyrics, especially the incestual songs, do you fing it ironic you’re on the Family Values tour?
RK: Those lyrics have different questions which occur within them, not only about incest and sexual situations, but they’re love songs in extreme forms. For me, live is all about relationships, between woman and man, you and music…The lyrics aren’t scandalous, they’re just love songs from extreme angles. It’s written and sung in Rammstein’s language to express the extremes of life. There is no link lyrically to the Family Values tour, it wasn’t intended to be ironic, it was just coincidence, a matter of timing.
PG: Overseas, some of America’s favorite bands, including Metallica, have reportedly asked not to perform after Rammstein, due to your spectacular live show. Are you aware of that happening at all on Family Values?
RK: There are several bands on the Family Values tour, and in the beginning, when we were asked to do the tour, we were told we’d be playing in the beginning. We said that would not be possible for us. We didn’t want to come over to the United States and play in front of empty halls (while audiences are filing in). Due to the success we are having now, we’re second headliners. We’re happy to be second headliners, because when you headline a tour like Family Values, you’re responsible for the whole evening. The second headliner doesn’t have those responsibilities on their shoulders, so you can experiment. It’s easier, there’s not as much pressure, so we’re pleased. If any band has to say that they will not play after Rammstein, it is just due to insecurity about their own performance.
PG: This is your first real tour of America. Are you looking to turn a lot of heads and steal the show?
RK: This is a Korn tour, and Rammstein are very happy to be invited to play with them. A lot of fans will attend the dhows just for Korn, and we’re aware of that fact. The essence of an evening like this isn’t for people to walk out saying that someone played the best, but for the to leave the venue and say that they had a fantastic evening and saw five great bands with five great performances. The goal for Rammstein is, being on the Korn tour, to be able to play for so many people and play as well as we can. Hopefully the other bands will do the same and it will be a smashing evening for everybody.
PG: What do you think it is about Rammstein that appeals to American audiences?
RK: If I would know why our success came so out of the blue in America, I would put together 10 bands and send them on the road, but it’s a mystery. The chemistry in the band is so essential because you have six characters onstage which are able to link the music and the lyrics, which fit together, to the public, the audience, and there is no f.cking way for the audience to turn away. They have to look at the stage because there is a singer who is able to express, in a very visual way, the songs with the lyrics, and each and every member of the band has a way to bring the message to you. In the end you are a part of it. Possibly, that is the reason why nobody can escape, and that is why everybody becomes hooked on Rammstein. For me, that is why Rammstein are the first metal ‘boy group » band in the world.
PG: “Metal ‘boy group’ band?”
RK: By that I mean, it’s not a normal band where you have a singer and the band behind them. With Rammstein you have six people onstage and each one of them is part of the visual aspect of the show, as you would have with a boy group band. You can watch anyone on stage and be satisfied by them.
PG: A heavy-metal answer to the Backstreet Boys?
RK: Yes. (Laughing) That’s a common term here in Europe, ‘boy group’. Also, Rammstein are very unique in a visual way. That makes our show unique.
PG: What are the influences that make Rammstein what it is?
RK: The thing is, we have six very different characters with different musical backgrounds. We were all friends, in different bands, and were unhappy with the bands we were playing in. There were six different meanings when you asked us what music meant to us. We were looking for a new style, one that would be both satisfying to play and listen to. That was our goal when we started. What’s also very important to know, it that grew up in former East Germany, behind the Iron Curtain, and the music that we could listen to was very limited. There were a lot of musical styles and bands that never got released in East Germany. That made us like a white piece of paper that wasn’t really influenced by anyone.
PG: So you weren’t listening to any of the American metal bands growing up, like KISS?
RK: Even in East Germany, you got the information coming across, and big bands, of course, you got information about. You didn’t have records at all though. You had to make tapes from second or third copies. KISS, for example, was an absolute phenomenon. They represented capitalism in its purest sense, and every child was KISS infected because they were so big. Kids wrote KISS on their notebooks, and if the teachers saw it they could get kicked out of school, just for having it written on their books. When I saw one of their videos in the U.S., it took all the illusions away from I what I thought they were about when I was a child. I used to have a poster of them in my room as a child, and when I was 12 years old my stepfather tore it down and into a thousand pieces. I was up all night trying to put it back together, and you can be sure it was hanging the next day. When I saw their video, my illusions faded away, of course you can’t keep the sentiments you had as a child because your imagination is so much bigger than the reality is.
PG: Were there any other American bands you listened to?
RK: KISS was a phenomenon, and you could read about them in a lot of magazines, even in East Germany. I tried to listen to other American bands as well, and as I got older I got really, really into one band, Big Black, a great industrial band.
PG: How about today? Any current bands you like?
RK: I listen to a lot of different bands now, but I’m not particularly a big fan of any one. I really like bands that do their own thing and have their own special way, like Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Suicidal Tendencies, Pantera…Bands with a unique style and a unique face to them.
PG: How long will you guys stay in the States? Is Family Values it, or will America have another chance to see you?
RK: I just hope to survive this tour! (Laughing) It will be the longest tour we’ve ever done. After the tour the most important thing, for me, will be to write another album. Of course, we’ll have to come back though, because America is like a second girlfriend…We’re in love, so we’ll have to come back.
PG: A second girlfriend! How does the first girlfriend feel?! (Laughter)
RK: The first girlfriend is Germany, and we’ve known each other for a long time. She can do without us for awhile!
PG: A lot of American bands can’t sell in America, but do well overseas, and the opposite is true for a lot of European bands. How does Rammstein manage both?
RK: We know magic! (Laughing) I don’t really have an answer for that because the only thing I know is that it’s happening! If it stop happening, we’ll question what we’re doing wrong and fix it, but so far it’s been perfect.

---
The rising sun peeks over the edge of the horizon through your window. The light is already soaking into your bedroom, the particles in the air floating amidst the rays. You sigh in bliss. Sam sleeps peacefully beside you, head buried against the pillow. He lies on his front, his arm laying protectively over your waist. You woke up a few minutes ago, but you can't find it in you to wake up your man from his slumber. He looks so relaxed when he sleeps, free of the stress and worry that accompanies him every day. Ever since this war officially started with Morello, he's been coming home later, more tired and more bruised. He needs this rest.
Usually he wakes up with the sun, drinking his morning coffee then leaving to go to Salieri's after kissing you goodbye in bed. Today though, you've managed to convince the Don to give him the morning off. Most of the jobs happening right now take place in the afternoon or evening anyway, so it wasn’t that hard to persuade him.
Sam sifts beside you, burying his face deeper into the pillow to hide away from the sun. His arm tightens around you slightly, as does his leg which is wrapped around yours like a vine. It makes you smile. Even in his sleep, he still guards you, always worried that one day his enemies will hurt you. You reach over to run your hands soothingly down the expanses of his back, delicately stroking over his muscles. His skin is smooth but riddled with scars of all sizes, permanent dark reminders of everything he’s lived through. They make your heart ache every time you see them, unable to comprehend the pain he’s experienced.
Sometimes, you still wake up at night in cold sweat after dreaming of Sam dying, replaying the memories of him after he got shot on a whisky run at the farm. He was so weak, the closest you’ve ever seen him to dying. In your mind, those images are printed permanently with a harsh blinding ink that you just can’t seem to remove. Seeing the love of your life like a walking corpse- you can’t ever forget that.
You worry about him everytime he leaves the safe cocoon of your apartment. With every loving kiss he leaves on your lips when he leaves, will that be the last ever sweet embrace you two share if something does happen to him? Would you ever feel his arms around you again, the only place you truly feel safe? Your mind is too fickle sometimes, always plaguing you with ‘what ifs’.
“Stop worryin’ doll. I can hear you even in my sleep” Sam mumbles into the pillow, making it impossible to decipher his muffled words. You smile lightly and cuddle deeper into his side, laying your face on your hand. The other still traces his spine with feather like touches.
Sam breathes deep and lifts his head, facing towards you again. One eyelid unravels slowly, then the other, the light steelness of his eyes bright amidst his tiredness.
“Good morning” you whisper. He sighs sleepily when he sees your smile, pulling you up against his chest as he turns onto his side. He closes his eyes again and smiles when he feels you snuggle into his neck and start laying sweet little kisses there. “Good morning to you too doll. Why are you up so early? You should be passed out sleepin’ right now.”
“It’s half nine Sam, this is when I normally wake up.” His eyes shoot open and he’s moving so suddenly, you barely register it for a moment.
“Fuck. I’m gonna be late. The boss is gonna kill me.” He rises, flinging the sheets off and swinging his legs over the bed. You finally stop him just as he’s about to rise, wrapping around him. You kiss him beneath his ears as you quickly say “I’ve got you the morning off, don’t worry.” He looks back incredulously.
“Off? How did you manage to persuade the Don to give me the mornin’ off? Especially with all this crap from Morello?” You look away mischievously, pulling slightly on him so he’ll follow you back down to bed. You slip out from under him once he’s back against the pillows and lean on his chest gently. His arm slips unconsciously around you again, always wanting to keep you close. “That’s for me to know and for you to never worry about.” He opens his mouth to reply, but you press your finger against it before he can.
“Don’t fight this. You need some time away from all the stress at the bar, even if it’s only for a little while.” He reaches up and grabs hold of your hand, pressing a kiss to your palm then laying it on his chest near his heart.
“My girl’s lookin’ after me. Can I really say no to you?” He laughs throatily, sighing as he strokes your fingers, “How did you manage to persuade the Don anyway?”
“You know me honey, my powers of persuasion are unbeatable.” In reality, you just promised Sailieri that you’d make him some of your best desserts, but Sam didn’t need to know that. “Why don’t you sit outside on the balcony? I’ll make us some coffee and then I’ll meet you out there?”
He smiles lazily up at you, bringing you down for a quick, toe curling kiss that leaves you breathless. Sam smirks at your reaction. You move to the side as he rises again, leaning your chin on your hand as you watch him walk naked across the room. You can’t help but release a pleased sigh, watching the muscles in his legs move, his ass flexing . He puts on some loungey pants without any underwear then turns around, looking at you with a smouldering promise in his eyes. If the kiss and this is anything to go by, Sam is definitely in a romantic mood.
“Did your mama not teach you to stare?” He smirks jokingly, throwing his head back laughing when he sees your mock offended expression. You roll up onto your knees, your hands moving to your hips. You try to look at him angrily, but you can’t help the smile that breaks out on your face.
“Do you really have the cheek to say that when you happily watch me undress every evening? It’s not very gentlemanly of you to treat a lady in such a way.” You smirk at him playfully. Sam looks at you from the hood of his eyes, slowly walking back towards you. He leans down on his arms so his face is level with yours. “You’re not just any lady though. You’re my lady. And I know that my girl likes being the centre of my attention” He kisses you again with intensity. One of his hands slips into your hair just below the base of your neck, tugging gently but with a force he knows you like. It makes you arch into him as his other hand traces tantilisingling down your spine, leaving goosebumps in his wake. You follow his lips as he rises, pouting when he steps back. Sam smirks again, then strokes the side of your face gently. “Outside doll.”
You make quick work of making the coffee after throwing on a silk nightdress. The material catches against your already pebbled nipples, the intensity of Sam’s kisses still setting your body alight. Your skin feels heated, tingles running up your arms and legs. It feels like there’s electricity running through your veins, the anticipation making your hormones run riot.
Though you and Sam make love multiple times a week, it’s rare that you get to take things slow, build up excitement between you. He always gets home too late from work, needing to burn off adrenaline or find comfort with you between the sheets to rid himself of his haunting demons. You fit together like two perfect puzzle pieces, intune with each other’s desires and needs.
With Sam, you can give up control and let him take the reins, knowing you’re in safe hands. He treats you like a diamond, treasuring you and looking after you in a way you’ve never known before, while he loves you both rough and gentle, giving you all his passion and intensity, knowing you can take it. From slow lovemaking to hard fucking against the nearest piece of furninture, there’s never a moment of sexual pleasure between you where you’re not overcome with feeling. You crave his intense intimacy and protective aura, and he yearns for your sweet touches and worshiping love, making him feel like a god when his days are darkest.
As you finish making his drink, you wonder to yourself once again if it’s true after all that there are such things called soul mates. It’s the only way you can describe your unbreakable bond with Sam, one you know will only grow stronger with every pain and strife you encounter.
By the time you walk onto the balcony, your face is flushed a deep shade of pink. Sam sits on one of the lawn chairs, head back, basking in the sun as he smokes a cigarette. His eyes are closed, his face relaxed. In this moment, he looks more like an Adonis than the gangsta you know. You watch him silently from the door for a few breathless seconds, watching him take a strong puff of his cigarette, the veins in his arms becoming more pronounced as he moves. His lips open softly and the smoke escapes with a small exhale, rising in whispering waves until it disappears into the air. Releasing a sigh of breath, your eyes crinkle when his own unravel, growing more hazy when he notices your flushed cheeks.
You move forward and climb onto his lap, his hand grabbing your legs and pulling them over his thighs. He takes the coffee from you then using his other hand, cups your chin between his forefingers. His cigarette sits between his other fingers, the smoke slowly drifting up between your faces but you don’t mind. The smell of tobacco burning has become therapeutic to you, the smell a link to the home you’ve made with Sam. He places a chaste kiss against your lips in thanks, sighing in pleasure. Your hand reaches up, cupping his cheek where you can feel his unshaven stubble. It’s rough, but you love the texture, running your hands slowly against the rough skin.
Sam breaks the kiss and leans into your palm, lifting his hand from your face to take another inhale of nicotine . He moves his head to the side to release the smoke, leaving a kiss on your palm as he does.
For the next few moments, you both just sit there, looking out onto the streets of Lost Heaven below. Up here, you feel like you’re in your own private bubble, away from all your problems, all the hate that breeds so well in this city. It’s just you and Sam, peacefully tucked away like two lovebirds. You lay against him, your head tucked underneath his neck. Everytime he takes a breath, inhaling the smoke of a cigarette, you feel his chest move against you, rocking you slightly. His hand always falls back onto your arm, softly stroking against your soft skin. You don’t speak, only bask in the comfortable silence between you. There’s nothing else to describe this but bliss.
His hand slowly begins to travel down your arm slightly, rubbing against your most sensitive spots. You shift in his lap slightly, turning your head to place your lips against the pulse in his neck. It beats a steady staccato rhythm. You place a lasting kiss there, traveling up his neck with sweet butterfly touches from your lips. Sam groans slightly, slipping his hand down to your hip.
“Open your legs for me doll.” You dutifully follow his orders, parting your thighs across his legs. His hand slowly travels between them, tracing your inner thighs before he reaches the top of your mound. He hasn’t even touched you yet, but you whine anyway, driving your hips up slightly towards his fingers. You feel his chuckle through his throat before you hear it.
“Patience doll. I’m takin’ this slow.” His fingers dance tantalizingly just above the opening of your lips, slipping slightly against the wetness that’s already gathered there.
“Sam… Please.” Your words are breathless, a whimper against his throat. He turns his head slightly, pressing his lips against your forehead.
“Whadya want doll? Tell me. Use your words Y/N.”
You whine again, drawing out his name. “Sam. Touch me… Please.” He smiles against you, his other hand rising to the nape of your neck. He lifts your head up and claims your mouth with a deep kiss as his fingers slip between your folds, brushing against your clit. You cry out against his lips and his tongue slips in, tangling with your own. He brushes slow, delightfully hard swipes of his fingers against you, smirking against your lips when your hips rise again. Between kisses, he grates “You’re already so wet. Just for me.”
You are already too dazed to reply. All you can do is sit there in his lap as he builds your pleasure with his fingers alone, wetting his fingers with your need on each lazy stroke. “Sam. Honey. God, don’t stop doing that.”
“You sure? Cos I could do this too.” Two fingers move down to your entrance, swirling there until he begins to sink them into your walls. You throw your head back, moaning, your hands flying down to rest over his. You push against them, gyrating against them. Sam lets out a breathless chuckle, but amidst the roughness of his voice, you can hear how strained it is- he’s just as excited as you are. As he thrusts shallowly in and out of your pussy, your hand moves down into his lap, grabbing his shaft through his pants.
He curses, his hips bucking forward. His fingers plunge deeper inside you, hitting that sweet spot that makes you see stars. You moan loudly, and his hand holding your head quickly moves up, covering your mouth. You turn your head and take his fingers in your mouth, sucking on them as you move your hand harder against his cock.
As his fingers rub against you deep, his calloused thumb moves to your clit, rubbing quick circles that bring your orgasm speeding to the surface. You can feel your heart pounding, your senses tingling. You're just opening your mouth ready to cry out around his fingers as you begin tipping over the edge, but suddenly both his hands are gone, leaving you empty and desperate.
“No, no, no, Sam?! What are you doing?!” He doesn’t answer, just grabs your waist and pulls you so you're facing him. Your legs slip either side of his hips, putting you directly above his thick shaft. In an attempt to get some friction, you try to grind down on it but his grip on your hips is too tight, no doubt leaving bruises. You don’t mind them, in fact, you love it when he leaves them along your body. It gives you pleasure to no end seeing the aftermath of his yearning for you.
You finally look up at him. Sam sits there, his eyes fully blown, a dark gray that stare at you with an intensity you can’t help but be sucked into. He breathes deep, sweat dripping down his neck.
“Take me out doll.” You move quickly, nearly ripping the buttons off his pants in your haste. Once you’ve grasped his cock, you bring it out, stroking the head with your thumb. A small drop of precum oozes from the top and you helplessly catch it, bringing it to your lips to suck it off in your mouth. Sam clenches his teeth, uttering another curse.
He leans forward, wrapping his arms around you to bring you directly above his hard shaft. He keeps you held just above it, but you can feel the heat from the head, drawing you in like a magnet. Sam’s hand grasps your nape again, tilting your head down to his. After a deep, chaste kiss, he orders, his voice wrecked “Ride me Y/N. Slow. I want you to feel every inch.”
You gasp in shock, but your body is already moving, the head of his cock slipping against your lips. Your hand flies down and positions it at your entrance, then you start sinking down. Sam groans, long and deep, clutching at your waist. You try to go faster, but he quickly slaps your ass.
“Slow doll.”
“But-”
“No buts! Slow. Or you don’t get to cum.” Your orgasm is still there, bubbling beneath your surface. You want it. Desperately. Sinking slower, you shake in Sam’s hands as you feel every vein, every deep crease of his hard cock as it sinks into you. When he finally bottoms out, you sink into his chest, your mouths moulding together. He pulls you impossibly closer, his hands moving down to your ass like hot brands. Slowly, as you breathe against each other, he guides you up, driving your pussy up his shaft until he lets go, letting gravity sink you back down again. He lets out a guttural groan into your mouth as you moan, your hands clutching onto him for dear life.
As you start bouncing on him, with deep slow strokes, he moves from your lips, placing heated kisses down your neck, across your chest towards the tops of your breasts. You can already feel his breath against your nipples, hardening them even more against the silk of your gown. Sam pulls it down just enough to reveal your breasts, his lips moving to take a nipple into his mouth as his hand grabs the other, pinching it between his fingers. Between his ministrations on your breasts and the feel of his cock sliding against your walls, you're helpless to do nothing else but sit there, taking the pleasure.
You fling your head back when he thrusts up as you sink down, the friction against your sweet spot so delicious you swear you can see stars in your eyes. You can feel the sun burning against your eyelids, hear the birds flying above over the cars below, but your attention is on Sam alone. The whole town could be watching you right now, but up here, in your little cocoon, all you can feel is the overwhelming pleasure and nothing is going to interrupt it.
“Y/N, doll, shit. You’re squeezin’ me so tight,” he groans against your breasts as you cry out, thrusting up harder against your pussy, “You’re gonna make me come.”
“Please… Sam, I’m so close, please!” Your voice is nothing more than a whine now.
He sinks lower on the chair so he's laying down, throwing you forward slightly. As he really begins to thrust into you now, bouncing you, his lips move back up to your own, your teeth clinking together before you kiss. You’re barely moving anymore, all you can do is take his pounding cock between your thighs. Below you, Sam is practically growling into your mouth, his hands against your skin keeping your pressed against him tightly. You're both sweating profusely, the heat of the sun blanketing your bodies, but you don’t care. You’re both too far gone into ecstasy.
Your fingers slip on his damp skin, so you grasp his hair, tugging on it. Sam groans in response, breaking the kiss to throw back his head. You collapse into his neck, clutching onto him as you take his relentless pounding. He turns his head, placing a sweet kiss against your sweaty temple, a small piece of comfort in your frantic love making. It brings you back to the brink of orgasm again, feeling your love for this man overwhelm your heart.
“Sam! You need to cover my mouth, I’m gonna come!” His hand pulls your head back above him, keeping your eyes focused on his.
“If I’m making you cum. I want you to do it saying my name.” You groan in response, trying to look away from his piercing gaze to throw back your head but he keeps you held strong. It’s deeply intimate looking into his eyes as you near your peak, your nerves alighting like wildfire. As you tip over the edge into pure ecstasy, you hear him grate “Be a good girl and cum for me.”
“Sam! Ah god!” you scream his name, throwing your head back to the sky. As you shake with your orgasm, squeezing around Sam’s cock, you barely register Sam's frantic thrusts. You hear him let out a brutal shout beneath you as he comes inside you, shaking against your body.
You collapse against him like a cat in the sun, snuggling into his chest when he wraps his arms around you. Against your head, you can feel his pounding heartbeat, gently swaying with his rising chest. His hand moves up to your head, pushing back some hair behind your ear. When you curl into his hand, he lets out a breathless laugh and strokes against the side of your face. You look up at him to see him smiling with his eyes closed, utterly relaxed and content. You crawl up slightly, so your head is level with his and tuck yourself into his side.
He reaches up and pulls a blanket hanging over the top of the lounger over the both of you, shielding your bodies from the sun. Once you're comfortable, he kisses you on your forehead then another longer sweeter kiss on your mouth. When he breaks away, you smile at each other like you’ve just completed a heist. Sam lies back with a content sigh, lighting another cigarette. You snuggle into his side, tracing the scars on his chest. When you get to what’s left of the bullet wound, you stroke it gently while whispering “I’m never gonna stop loving you. Worrying about you”
He turns towards you, his chin on your head“ I know doll.” He sighs, stroking the skin of your hips slowly. "I wish you didn't have to worry. I've seen many men die, forced to leave behind their families. It scares the fuck outta me that one day that might happen to you. It's wearing me out Y/N."
You look at him to see a world of pain on his face. There's a battle in his eyes, one you may never fully be able to comprehend. You reach for his hand after he stubs the cigarette, bringing his fingers to your lips. Between each kiss, you whisper " Let's leave this place then. With Tommy and Paulie too. You know they want outta this life too. We… We could finally start our own family."
He looks down at you with so much love in his eyes, you feel your heart miss a beat. "Let's do it then doll. Once this war is over. We're leaving."

Making of Mein Land liveblog
I swear I meant to do this when I desperately needed serotonin, but I was too lazy to open my laptop and go on YouTube
Anyway, thank you to @sine-luce-angor-minus for sending me the recommendations in my time of need! This is one of my favorite music videos and one of my favorite making-ofs, which will hopefully translate in the disorganized mess sure to come
✨on with the show✨
Mm, love me some Reise, Reise
Can this girl teach me how to dance because lord knows I cannot
I love how Rammstein “always wanted to do a beach video.” Like, I would just like to have been a fly on the wall for that collective decision
Fuck, Till looks so good in this video. The bod. The hair. I will not hear any disagreements.
And when he smiles and waves in the little surfboard intro 🥺
Schneider is so horny in this making-of, it cracks me up
The dorky dance moves omg I love these boys so much
The Oli scene. What can I say? Schneider doing the twist, Till heckling him, Paul head banging, Reesh trying to retain his dignity. The only time I ever want to use the phrase, “boys being boys”
Goddamn, Till’s arms...
Mayhaps this is super American of me, but I love Hawaiian shirts lol and they boys looks so cute in them
I love how Flake was straight up not having a good time, and the fact that he does his interviews in the “night portion” costume cracks me up even more
The girls teasing the boys for their dorkiness—just saying what we’re all thinking
Flake is so cute coming out of the van. And he’s the only one who remotely looks like he belongs in a ‘50s beach movie lol
I also LOVE how diverse the cast of girls in this music video is
Schneider’s little giggle 🥲
The Pallid Berliner—I hope his sunstroke wasn’t too bad
God, Paul must have been in heaven that day
Fuck, Lifeguard Till is just... Sorry, I think I’m drowning, pls help, mouth-to-mouth is definitely needed
I love when Oli talks in the making-ofs. Does he talk the most in this one as opposed to the other videos? I feel like he does
As an American, I feel like I need to apologize for David Hasselhoff???
I dunno why, but I love the girl with the raspy voice who talks about their style (the one who brings up Pussy later)
Till’s awkward dance moves—MARRY ME SIR.
Also, he looks SO GOOD in a collared shirt, and this video highlights it
I love how this video was filmed in such a time-crunch. Like, it’s so well-produced, you’d never know
O trusted oracle, please tell me what Till is giving this man all dressed in black right before he readjusts his bathing suit
What a great hairstyle this was on my boyfriend, Till
And yes, these bathing suits are so ugly, but they Work
Hearing him say, “goofy,” never fails to make me smile, especially with his bathrobe and Glasgow smile paint on
I will never get over how much I love that EVERYONE was having the time of their lives while making this video...except for Flake
The boys in plaid... Why do I think this looks so fucking good on them??? Is the problem me? (Probably)
Rammstein brings the best out of everybody. Confirmed.
When they’re pushing each other 🥲 And Till looks so happy 😭
How did I JUST NOW, after having seen this upwards of five times, notice that Schneider is the one who gets taken out with the surfboard lmao
I want to be hugged like this some day, preferably by Richard
I’ve never actually seen the Pussy video lol I worry that I would get too jealous
“Rammsteen”—making all of us Americans look bad (not that it’s a hard thing to do)
“I’ve never done anything like that ... smiling all the time. It’s not my thing!” Oh, Till, how you break my heart
But then he chuckles and I’m filled with joy
Richard and Schneider clapping before they all run off to join the dancers—another thing I can’t believe I’ve never noticed. God, I love these boys
“I like him. He is fun to be with, a nice guy and Swedish.” That’s it, friends, that’s the bar
I wish there had been a storyline in the Ich tu dir weh music video. It was still cool, but I like when there’s a narrative to follow better
I don’t wear make-up, like, ever... But I want to know what lipstick Flake is wearing
The way Schneider’s hair flows in the wind
Who tf do I have to beat up for harassing Till on the beach?
God, his profile is GORGEOUS. It’s so unfair. I look so much worse from the side
Still drowning over here, Lifeguard Till, please come save
Is that Till laughing like that? My God, music to my ears
Does Oli talk more than PAUL does in this?? (Paul’s name wasn’t meant to be all-caps, but my phone autocorrected it and it seems fitting, so I’m not changing it)
Saucy Fruit. My old college nickname.
Seriously, though, what a great point about tone
Oli’s plague doctor get-up
I can’t stop thinking about the point I believe @theelliottsmiths made about one member of the band needing to look bad so the others can shine, and Reesh definitely bit the bullet this shoot. Some sacrifices need to be made
I love the way Schneider waxes poetic in the making-ofs. When I was first getting into Rammstein and trying to figure out who was who and stuff, I always thought of him as “the reasonable one” lmao
Now I know better. There is no reasonable one
I never would have thought of “best-of album=break-up” and I’m glad it’s not true, especially in the boys’ case
God, when still looks at the camera head-on... I feel like he’s the type of guy who makes you feel like the only two people in the world when he talks to you. Such a nice feeling 🥲
This video gives me flashbacks to a group project I worked on in college about the Male Gaze
Ah, talks of touring. Hopefully the world won’t end soon and I can go see these guys sometime
Can you imagine seeing Rammstein and System of a Down at the same concert? I would die. Even though Till has taken over the spot in my heart once held by Serj Tankian. Still...a cold shower would be needed
The success story of these boys makes me so happy 🥲 So proud

Cristina Scabbia x Diablo: Inside metal and gaming’s most devilish crossover yet
Outstanding hack-and-slash remaster Diablo II: Resurrected isn’t just about polishing up the beloved original’s relentless fire and brimstone. In a striking collaboration with Lacuna Coil songstress Cristina Scabbia and bizarro YouTube star Mark The Hammer, it’s inspired the latest crossover between video games and heavy music, too…
When Cristina Scabbia first picked up the joypad, she had no idea she was steering herself onto a path that would still be throwing up juicy side-missions three decades down the line. A young teenager in northern Italy during the mid-’80s first generation video game boom, the future Lacuna Coil frontwoman didn’t have the spare cash for the cutting-edge equipment of the time, whose 128-colour palettes and blocky two-dimensional sprites felt utterly futuristic. When a local friend powered up David Crane’s 1982 masterpiece Pitfall! on their Atari 2600, however, it opened the doors to another world.
“I’ve been a gamer for quite a while,” her eyes light up at the memory. “I love video games. I love what you can learn from them. I love the stories they tell…”
Few games are as darkly compelling as Blizzard Entertainment’s legendary Diablo series. Bringing to life the dark fantasy realm of Sanctuary – a midpoint between the High Heavens and Burning Hells – its trio of classic titles chronicle the eternal conflict between mankind and the demonic legions led by Diablo, fearsome Destroyer Of Souls. When David Brevik’s original landed in 1996, it was a literal game-changer for the industry, raising the bar in terms of depth and detail, storytelling and character-building. 2000’s Diablo II raised it again, still revered by hardcore gamers as the greatest action-RPG of all, while 2012’s Diablo III brought the franchise into the modern era.
Fittingly, it’s against that shadowy backdrop that Cristina joins us today, to discuss Start Again, her musical collaboration with the minds behind thrilling 3D, HD remaster Diablo II: Resurrected.
Speaking from her high-backed gaming chair in front of an impressive PC set-up this morning, she looks ready for battle. A laid-back, dressed-down counterpart to her imposing onstage alter-ego, she is surrounded by stacks of proudly-displayed paraphernalia, from a plushie of Gremlins’ Gizmo and photos of her band, to figurines of her favourite virtual characters, spare controllers, and the ubiquitous energy drink refrigerator.
Anyone familiar with Cristina’s Twitch streams wondering if this might be a carefully-arranged studio space should think again. “It’s actually part of my living room,” she laughs. “There’s this big table that was supposed to be for dinners with friends, but as we would go out to eat instead, I decided to use it for something that I like, and filled it with computers, monitors and consoles.
“It’s where I play. It’s where I stream from. It’s the safe space.”
Diablo’s heroes work best when joining forces, and 30 minutes further north, in the town of Saronno, we meet Marco Arata – AKA YouTube sensation Mark The Hammer – Cristina’s collaborator on Start Again, and a playful like mind. “I was three years old when I first played on a Game Boy,” he smiles into the light of a bank of monitors, “and I never stopped.”
For readers not in the know, Mark is the uber-talented multi-instrumentalist who’s gained a reputation for uploading incisive, tongue-in-cheek videos to YouTube like Irritating Guitar Lessons and How To Create A Black Metal Song… Without Any Talent. Learning piano aged eight, he quickly graduated to electric guitar, bass and drums. He’s since been picked up as the live guitarist/keyboardist for Italian pop-hip-hop icon J‑Ax. The main Mark The Hammer YouTube channel has more than half a million subscribers, while its English-language alternative boasts close to 100,000.
Both accomplished, analytical, artistic minds, it feels key to Start Again’s success that the duo see gaming as a chance to switch off – less interested in graphics and game engines than narrative drive and world-building.
“Whenever you listen to a song as a musician, you have your brain working, thinking about what exactly is going on,” explains Mark. “I’m a big fan of acting and drama, too, and the same thing applies when you watch a movie. But when you pick up that game pad, you’re able to relax and [switch that part of your brain off]. It’s the only thing in my life that I can really say is completely relaxing.”
“I know that some people prefer creating groups or being part of a competition,” agrees Cristina, noting that Diablo, in particular, fits her play style “but I’m more of a selfish, solitary player. I don’t want to feel that competition while I play. I want to be able to relax and do things at my own pace, to have my own rhythm. I don’t necessarily think of games as an escape. For me, it’s a different world that I want to be part of, [parallel to] the real world. It’s not that I want to [run away and] live in the video game world. But when I’m playing, I want to stay there, I want to focus on what’s happening – I want to absorb all the vibes. It’s not just something that you’re watching: you’re part of it. You can choose your character. You can increase your power. You can pick your path and select your sides.
“There are things about this world that non-gamers could never really understand…”
Like all the best quests, it began with a message from out of the blue. Mark recalls the sense of absurdity, watching an email drop into his inbox that he couldn’t quite believe was real. “I remember opening the message and seeing that it was an opportunity to write [a song inspired by Diablo II] for the release of Diablo II: Resurrected. Oh, yeah, and you’ll have Cristina Scabbia from Lacuna Coil doing vocals. I was just like ‘What?!’”
Having dropped video game soundtrack cover albums Hammer Games Vols 1 and 0 in 2015 and 2016 respectively, Mark had pedigree in the field, but he struggled to comprehend the opportunity for such a high-profile collaboration.
“This is the game that I bought as a 14-year-old when it first came out back in the year 2000,” he fishes out his original CD-ROM jewel case for an unsubtle flex, “and you’re asking me to write an official song to go with it? That in itself is mind-blowing. But to be able to do that with the greatest singer in Italian metal?! I thought it was some sort of strange spam at first. When I realised that it wasn’t, it became amazing on so many levels.”
Not a huge fan of YouTube (nor, presumably, of the hack-and-slash sub-genre), Cristina’s manager didn’t quite know what to make of the invitation. Fortunately, having followed one of Lacuna Coil’s old guitarists through a laptop screen and into Sanctuary all those years ago, and already a fan of Mark’s videos, she didn’t take much convincing.
“I was just like, ‘Mark The Hammer? I follow him!’” she grins. “Then, when they told me the project was to write a song for Diablo II: Resurrected, I immediately said yes. If you look back at interviews that I did years ago, whenever they asked me what dream I had or what is missing from my body of work, I’ve always said that I’d like to write something for a video game. When this came along, it was like, ‘Hello…’”
Cristina admits that she struggled with writer’s block over lockdown. Having watched her native Italy become one of the first countries crippled by the spread of COVID-19, she was unwilling to create music with the power to transport her back to those most troubled of times. Compared to the glacial pace of the music industry over the last 18 months, however, dropping in at crunch time in a massive game’s release schedule came as an invigorating change of pace. The first message exchanged between Cristina and Mark was on August 23, with the song due online to coincide with Diablo II: Resurrected’s launch exactly a month later.
“When you have a deadline, it can either throw you down or really speed everything up and add an excitement,” Cristina muses. “For us, it was definitely the latter. We were perhaps a little bit tense about not knowing each other. Any time you’re working with someone new, you ask yourself these questions: ‘Is he going to be nice? Is he going to be an asshole? Is he going to have the same ideas that I have? The same creativity? The same speed?’
“As soon as we started to text, though, I realised that Mark was really relaxed, really funny. He’s like me. We would send and receive messages in the middle of the night, and get immediate replies. It was like we’d opened the floodgates on an ocean of ideas.”
A high level of fandom was pivotal. Diablo’s angels and monsters – Greater and Lesser Evils – seem like characters lifted from metal album covers to begin with, and the chaotic action that spills from the streets of Tristram and the slopes of Mount Arreat that go down into the depths of Hell could hardly be better suited to metalheads who’re never happier than when throwing down in the pit. Cristina and Mark’s preferred player classes – Sorceress and Barbarian, respectively – even mirror their onstage personas. To simply phone in the sort of crowd-pleasing banger either of these musicians could write in their sleep would be to do the project a deep disservice.
Cristina reckons that if Diablo were a band, it would be either Judas Priest – all OTT outfits, pointy edges and demonic imagery – or Rammstein, spewing sheer pyrotechnic bombast. Mark contends that the larger-than-life, battle-obsessed aesthetic of Iron Maiden might be a better match, pointing out that many of the most monstrous iterations of Ed The Head wouldn’t look out of place in its deepest dungeons. We’d argue that the ominous, folky atmospherics of peak Opeth even more closely evoke the playing experience, echoing Matt Uleman’s iconic original score.
In the same way that Diablo II: Resurrected marks an upgrade for players in 2021 while maintaining the original’s dark heart – dynamic lighting, three-dimensional rendering and high-definition presentation bringing the action sharply up to date – this song needed to pay respect while still packing enough heft to make an impact on metal fans in 2021.
“Diablo is such an iconic game,” nods Mark. “I knew the original score. I knew the original atmosphere. I knew where it had to go, more or less. But it was a challenge to make something new while paying respect to the original. There were parts where I wasn’t sure where I was going, but as soon as Cristina got really into the project and added her vocals, it felt like everything [clicked].”
“Mark’s involvement was crucial,” Cristina presses. “Looking at that original soundtrack, I was thinking, ‘This is such a classic – it’s so iconic – but it’s not singable.’ It felt like putting a voice over the top would ruin it. But as soon as I heard the music that Mark had written, it changed everything. He made it singable. He created so many different parts, that offered so many different scenes, so many different moods. There are atmospheric parts, but there are also heavier parts. It’s like a journey, from beginning to end…”
Part sweeping re-score, part fan’s perspective love letter, part limb-swinging metal banger, the finished track feels like a striking bridge between worlds. Is the aim for fans who’ve yet to discover the pleasures of metal or gaming to be able to walk across it?
“The worlds of metal and gaming have always been strongly connected,” reckons Cristina, highlighting the fact that they’re both tightly-knit outsider communities fascinated by the dark and fantastical, which can appear intimidating to outsiders looking in. Although she and Mark will happily welcome new fans, the main priority was to write a great song, hopefully tightening the bond between communities that already exists. “It’s a lifestyle,” she gestures. “If you see a metalhead, there’s a strong chance you’ll be able to talk about games – or vice-versa.”
Indeed, the lines have increasingly blurred over the last couple of decades. Countless rockers found their way into the world via the legendary Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater soundtracks. The Guitar Hero franchise brought songs as unusual DragonForce’s Through The Fire And The Flames, Lamb Of God’s Laid To Rest and Slayer’s Raining Blood – not to forget Lacuna Coil’s Closer – into the non-metalhead sphere. Celebrities as high profile as Tenacious D’s Jack Black have spearheaded their own digital-metal crossovers, while Avenged Sevenfold’s M. Shadows cropped up as a playable character in Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4. Gamers have even increasingly taken to wearing branded T‑shirts a la those of their favourite bands, enabling them to recognise each other on the street.
On the other side of the coin, bleeding-edge artists like The Armed, Refused and Run The Jewels have recently been inspired to write specifically for games. Svalbard’s Serena Cherry just started a one-woman black metal side-project called Noctule, dedicated to her favourite epic RPG. Hell, Cristina even tells us that pounding compositions by djent-influenced video game soundtrack maestro Mick Gordon are amongst the most listened on her personal playlist.
It’s down to a change in perspective, Cristina reckons, where intelligent eye for detail is now considered every bit as cool as a debauched hell-raiser attitude. Games’ intricate storytelling and epic design are recognised as on par with the finest parts of cinema, and e‑sports competitions regularly boast larger prize pots than those of their athletic counterparts.
“I was always part of the nerd world,” she says, with more than a hint of vindication. “A few years ago, it felt like it was almost something to be ashamed of to admit that you’re a nerd, as if you had this weird, ridiculous aura. But now, everybody – all these people who were never interested – seem to want to be involved in this world. I [sometimes think], ‘Nah, you need to prove you’re really into it…’”
She’s not kidding. As if that massive cache of gaming equipment – from the original PlayStation to countless Game Boys and computer components – wasn’t proof enough, Cristina has even appeared as playable character The Shadow Sorceress in Iron Maiden’s ever-evolving Legacy Of The Beast mobile game. “It was such an honour, such a pleasure to create my own character and give all the directions for the outfit, which was basically the outfit I was wearing on the last Lacuna Coil tour before lockdown,” she grins.
Going even geekier, Lacuna Coil also just launched their own Horns Up tabletop card game, where players must fight their way to the front of the stage. “It’s something we’re all really interested in, but particularly our bassist Maki [Coti Zelati],” Cristina continues. “Every card is related to metal clichés. We even gave our fans the opportunity to see themselves on one of the cards…”
Although Lacuna Coil maintained their high-drama presence with September 2020’s Black Anima: Live From The Apocalypse stream and June 2021’s live album of the same name, Cristina was keen to use the time off to introduce fans to her character away from the band, emboldened to set up her own channel on Twitch.
“I just wanted to learn new things which could enrich my baggage of knowledge,” she enthuses. “I’m already singing, already writing, but I don’t want to fixate on those. Life is made up of so many different things that can enrich my music and my creativity. I was already a Twitch user, watching other people play games, but I didn’t know what my purpose was. I almost felt scared at first. I am a singer. I am somehow an entertainer. I like to talk, which is clear. But it’s different when you’re talking to a lot of people for a couple of hours – or more!
“Eventually, I decided to keep it as informal as I could so that people could see how Cristina is at home. Cristina isn’t just the singer of Lacuna Coil: I have a house, I have a life, I have passions, I have my own personality. I just wanted people to discover that. Luckily they also like this quirky side of me, which feels like the opposite that dark goth lady that so many people know. As much as I didn’t have purpose in the beginning, there’s now such a strong community every time I go online – such a clean place to exchange good vibes!”
Even the persistent undertones of sexism and misogyny that have plagued gaming, she pushes, are a speed bump to be put in the rearview, comparable to what she experienced when first making her name in heavy music.
“In metal, I encountered the same problem,” she explains, bluntly. “[Women becoming a major presence in the community] was something new, and when something is new, people have suspicions and doubts. They don’t know how to deal with it. But there are a lot of female gamers now, and a lot of females in metal. It’s been normalised, which it should be, because games and metal are for everyone.”
As the world comes back up to speed, hectic schedules mean that attention is turning away from screens, and back towards studio and stage. Mark is churning out more and more top-class YouTube content. Cristina has a packed diary, with a tribute concert for late collaborator Franco Battiato at the spectacular Arena di Verona this week, and another secretive collaboration in the works, not to mention writing for Lacuna Coil’s 10th LP, which has just begun – her creative fires reignited by bringing Start Again to life.
Having dipped toes in the video game world, though, they’re both keen to return.
“I really hope we do,” Cristina says. “As a fan of video games, it’s such a great chance to bring together these different passions in your life. There are so many different things I’d like to do, and places I’d like to explore in this world, but time is limited!”
“I loved the challenge here, and the process of collaboration,” nods Mark. “If we could work together again when it comes time to make Diablo IV, that would be amazing. I’d love the opportunity to have my own playable character in an Iron Maiden video game, too, but I’m not sure that’s achievable!”
“I thought the same thing,” grins Cristina, ever adventurous, as we wave farewell. “Never say never!”
Diablo II: Resurrected is out now on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox X/S and PC.

The Show (part 2)
- Sound and music were pretty good, as a guitarists-fan i was looking forward to Richard's solos, but the first one i couldn't really hear well, maybe the sound was a bit off there, but that must have been just a glitch, because elsewhere it was great (Ausländer solo os so beautiful 🥰). I know some people mention there's playback on some songs, but honestly, i don't care, we were all looking forward to a great show after being wet and cold for a while, that i just wanted it to look and sound the best it could 🌺 (Maybe it was me, but at Adieu i think there was someone off key at some point 😊 so that definitely wasn't playback, but they pulled it together)
- Paul and Olli's side i could watch pretty well, although i didn't see Olli that well, on IG photos i see that he wore a darker shirt for part of the show, maybe that had something to do with it. Paul was for the most part of the show playing with his micstand and doing Paul things like he usually does 😊
- Flake is great in his gold outfit, no trouble following where he's going, and i loved his 'stuck doing the Till-hammer' but, with team feuerzone egging him on chanting 'Flake, Flake' 😄
- Richard looked great, even from that distance (he didn't bother trying his hair to stand up and started with the hair combed down), and i lived his backing vocals, especially at Puppe, you could really hear his voice in the sound as well 🥰
- sometimes i read fans not liking the songs from the Untitled album that much, because 'it isn't Rammstein as it should be', but honestly, some of the songs that got the crowd moving the best, were actually Ausländer and Radio, and even the Deutschland remix with the stickmen dance was great at getting the crowd to dance along, until that point in the show the crowd were mainly watching (not team feuerzone, they always moved ofcourse), but those songs really melted the ice (maybe that was also the moment the rain started to drizzle out, don't remember). Loved the stickmen dance (which i didn't think i would), the 4 guys did a little 'kickline' at some point, and some other funny stuff, and we in our little corner on the stands danced along 😊
- And ofcourse the big songs like Sonne (when the sun really showed for the first time), Du Hast, Deutschland, DRSG, Mein Teil were great as well, but i really loved all the songs, not one exception ❤️
- I was too far away to really notice if 'fun was had' on stage (you know i like it when the guys have fun on stage), but i loved Paul and Richard playing together, love that their Mein Teil intro is always a bit different (up until that point they played pretty much their regular 'roles'), think Till tried to distract Paul before that intro a little bit to prevent him from going to center stage 😊 but the tower was obstructing my view a bit, so really only saw afterwards on social media all the details 😄 but that's okay, they had fun, that is the main thing 🥰
- i really enjoyed my first show, and i really wanted the band to know it, i wouldn't have minded if they stuck around on stage a bit longer at the after-Sonne-bows and the final salut so we could cheer them on more, but that isn't the Rammstein way and i accept that 😊
- and the best part: i get to do it again today (and it looks like it will be dry) 🥰

If you don’t mind me asking what is it about each ramm guy that makes you feel good & uplift you?
Hi Anon, I hope you have a good day !
Richard — His strength. We all know what Richard has been through, we know his obsessive nature and although he has sometimes fallen very low, he always had the courage to get up and change. He is my least favourite Rammbois, but I have an immense respect for him and his strength inspires me to become a better person.
Flake — His authenticity. I find Flake to be a refreshing person in the sense that he is honest in the way of being. He is who he is and that suits him so it suits everyone. He has a soft power side that I like, I think he is able to impose his point of view without using force. I appreciate the simplicity and humour with which he talks about his life as an artist. He is someone I can easily identify with.
Christoph Schneider — His collective. For the last two years, Christoph has often been seen as "Dad", and I think that this image suits him well. I think he is the one who is most attached to the collective, to the band and to its solidity. It's as if Rammstein was his second family for him, which is probably the case, aren't they all brothers ? Maybe that's why he didn't like Richard's solo project before changing his mind. He was afraid that Rammstein would break up, split up. He's like a shepherd with his herd, always watching and herding them.
(P.S: Moustache Schneider is cool but Jesus Schneider is better)
Oliver Riedel — His impenetrability. Bass players are always in the shadows. But still, Rammstein is a world-famous band. How does he manage to avoid the fans and all that goes with it ? Ollie is a very unique person, he's mysterious, he doesn't seek fame and he's extremely discreet, yet when you see him play live, he has a strange charisma that makes him magnetic. On the one hand I would like to see and hear more of him, but on the other hand I want him to remain himself.
Paul Landers — His sensitivity. If Christoph is a protective papa bear, Paul is a mama hen who makes sure everyone has everything they need. I think Paul is a very empathetic person, he senses when one of the guys is not doing well and tries to distract him by being a clown. However, behind his smile, he hides a fragility and a sensitivity on the surface. He is a ray of sunshine that illuminates by his mere presence, but you have to be careful that a dark cloud doesn't pass in front of him. I would so like to have a friend like him, who really and sincerely cares.
Till Lindemann — His depth of soul. Till... I like his strengths and weaknesses, his qualities and faults. Sometimes it hurts me, but I accept him as he is. Till is a very special person, I don't think there are two like him. He is a generous and caring person. I love his curiosity that leads him to explore the human darkness, sometimes to the brink. I love his wonder at Nature, at animals and plants, an almost childlike wonder. His view and analysis of the world around us, admittedly a dark analysis, but in the end he always ends up talking about love. This soul is both pure and tormented, full of kindness and demons, which make him a being of contradictions.
That's what I like about them, and that's just a small part of it, I feel so much for them. But what makes me feel good and cheers me up is to see all six of them, to see Rammstein.

I'm probably in the minority but I prefer Till's solo work to Rammstein. He's not limited by the other band members and he's showing his full potential. The lyrics, the music, his voice, I find everything more worked on than Rammstein, and his live performance is top notch. I know I'm not the only one thinking that as I know other people thinking the same but it's rare for people to admit it!
I don't see why people wouldn't admit it. You like what you like and fandoms shouldn't be gatekeepers of what should and shouldn't be. From what I've seen here and on other social media, there are many people who are first and foremost Till's fans, so, even if it's probably not the majority, an not my personal opinion at all, as I like Rammstein's music more and I enjoy him with the rest of the guys more, I'm not highly shocked some would prefer his solo stuff. I get some of the points you make here. For an artist, I can imagine it must be more freeing to work with no restrictions (there's always producers, but I assume you depend more on just yourself than with a band), specially since it's such a stressing process for him to submit his lyrics through the "Rammstein Democracy", like he's said before. Also, from the little I've seen from his solo tour (I talked about it a bit here), he seemed more at ease and happy than during some moments of the last Rammstein Tour, but that might just be because of everything that went on... As for the rest, I will have to disagree with you. His voice sounds great in both projects and listening to all the Rammstein albums, it's really interesting to hear how their sound, in general, but also his voice changed through time, becoming more melodic, without losing it's strength. I'm not sure if I understood what you meant by it, but I don't think it's more worked on in his solo project... It might sound strange, but, to me (and this a completely subjective opinion, as I have no musical training), being limited by the others in his lyrics, makes his work better. I'm glad we don't have a "NSL" trio, a "Mathematik" or a "Till the End" with Rammstein, but we still get "Pussy" (oops, this sounded strange 😂), "OK", "Dicke Titten" or "Te quiero Puta!", so he's not completely censored on his creativity or the themes he enjoys writing about. I just think the scrutiny of the other 5 guys make it better/more refined, which I appreciate, because I'm not a fan of some of the content he makes solo, as I feel he goes a bit too far on the weird scale at times. Plus, there's the dark side he explores with Rammstein that I really like and that we don't see on the solo project. On the other hand, though, we probably wouldn't have things like "Du Hast Kein Herz", "Ich Hasse Kinder", "Platz Eins", "Ladyboy" or "Praise Abort", among other fun and interesting ones. And then there's the videos. Some of the solo and Lindemann ones are just, well, strange...Not to mention, repetitive, especially with the recurring naked ladies theme. To me, Rammstein videos are on a whole different league and I assume they work so well, because they all pitch in. I fell in love with Rammstein as a whole (the 6 men marriage)! Even if Till's voice is a big part of what got my interest at first, back in the beginning of 00's, it's the magic they make together, in the music and their live shows, that sealed the deal for me! Nonetheless, Till's solo project seems to make him happy, so I'm glad he's doing his thing there too! 🖤 (Sorry this was so long, Anon, but I really enjoy talking about these kind of things and got a bit carried away. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me!)

31 Days Rammstein Challenge - Day 25: Favourite Untitled Song
The Rammstein fans had to wait for ten years for the Untitled album to get released. Kicked off by the monumental Deutschland, it hit the shelves merely a month before Rammstein embarked on their first ever Stadium Tour. Through that tour, the fans got well familiarised with the songs, as the band played nine of the eleven songs live (although Sex was quickly cut from the set list).
Was ich liebe is one of the absolute highlights of the album for me, though the live version was even better. Having the band members join in one by one highlighted just how important each member is, and what they contribute with to the overall Rammstein sound.
Ausländer started out as one of the songs I didn't really like much, but that slowly changed as I started listening more to the individual instrument. The clean guitar parts, where Paul and Richard harmonise, is lovely (and incidentally, we have gotten to hear this a lot through their extended outro live, where they eventually kiss - at least most of the time nowadays).
Funny enough, the two songs Rammstein never played live are my favourites. Weit weg is very much a Flake song, and it's brilliant, but my favourite from the album is Hallomann.
In Hallomann, the bass and the keyboard come together and tell the story along with Till's haunting lyrics. The keyboard melody is, as I have mentioned, my favourite keyboard piece from Rammstein. The bass is dark and menacing and creates an uneasy atmosphere, and the choruses (where Oliver is doing backing vocals) have this innocent feel that we all know is not as innocent after all. This is yet another song I wish Rammstein would play live, but that they probably won't.

What Kind of Music Slashers Would Vibe to Headcanons♪
This little thing popped into my head. Fyi, the canon timelines are thrown out the window for this so... Yeah.
Bring forth the bop~
RZ Michael Myers
"Let my weapons be your children, let my armies be your damned. Try to suffer on in silence, try to stop me if you can." --- This Cold Black by Slipknot
I think he'd really enjoy metal in general. I can totally see him unknowingly stomping to some Marilyn Manson and Meshuggah, though the lyrics and message probably will just fly over his head.
He listens to some heavy shit, but probably all the more mainstream bands/artists.
The loudness and organized chaos of the genre fills the void in his soul and reflects the state of his mind, despite his stoic and non-verbal outer demeanor.
Someone please do everyone a favor and introduce Michael to some death metal. Admit it, it really fits his aesthetic.
This is just based on speculation, but I suspect a 70% possibility of RZ Michael resonating with Cannibal Corpse. Fight me.
He hates classical music with a burning passion. Back in Smith's Grove, they played Bach's Air Sul G on tap. (its canon in the first movie lmao) He hates it. Mikey no likey.
Freddy Krueger
"No stop signs, speed limit, nobody's gonna slow me down. Like a wheel, gonna spin it, nobody's gonna mess me around." --- Highway to Hell, by AC/DC
Freddy listens to classic rock, period.
This guy is ngl a supporter of music taste discrimination. You listen to pop? Disgusting. You listen to Jazz? Disgusting. Classic rock is the epitome of all music.
He'll call you music-related slurs you never knew existed.
As stubborn adamant as Freddy is, he does harbor some guilty pleasures, including 70's hair metal and glam rock. Pshh. What a heckin hypocrite.
Some of his all time favorites are Guns N' Roses, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, and AC/DC.
(Basic bitch)
*Hip thrust movements to go with his 'The Sprinkler' dance moves, Welcome to the Jungle by Guns N' Roses blasting in the background*
OG Michael Myers
He doesn't listen to music, but if he did, he would probably enjoy Jazz.
Michael only listens to Miles Davis because he enjoys his music and can't be bothered to discover more artists.
Oml Michael I know Miles Davis is amazing but don't neglect other iconic artists plzzz. Someone please make him listen to some Teddy Wilson and/or Dave Brubeck.
I imagine him sitting stiff-straight on a rocking chair (he just likes how it moves), knife in his lap, rocking and zoning-out relaxing to 'Blue in Green'. (I love that piece)
#AfterHeFinallyKillsLaurie
#RetirementGoals
He also hates classical music because of the same reason as RZ Myers. Seriously, if either of them so much as hears the opening chord of Air Sul G, expect the speaker to be stomped to a pulp in a split second.
Bubba Sawyer
Alright let's all be honest with ourselves... 70's pop and country is Bubba's shit.
Look me in the face and tell me he wouldn't adore ABBA, The Jackson 5, and Dolly Parton. Thats right you can't
Everytime 'Dancing Queen' starts playing on the radio, Bubba will drop everything and start busting down.
Ain't nothing and nobody stoppin him. Drayton is powerless against the supreme sovereignty that is ABBA.
But let's also appreciate the fact that our Bubster can motherfuckin get down. *wipes sweat from forehead + heart eyes*
He would also do passionate lip sync with his heart and soul, to Dolly Parton's 'I Will Always Love You'.
50% chance of him starting to cry right after he finishes his earnest performance.
*Holding Bubba in your arms, rubbing comforting circles on his back as he bawls hysterically, incoherently babbling on about how much he loves you*
I also feel for some reason he'd really like Joan Jett & The Blackhearts.
Thomas Hewitt
"For one moment, I wish you'd hold your stage, with no feelings at all. Open minded, I'm sure I used to be so free." --- Citizen Erased by Muse
Y'know what I have a hard time imagining the type of music Tommy listens to. Kutos, Mr. Hewitt, you have defeated me.
siKE
(This is where I yeet the timeline out of the window y'all)
Thomas enjoys Muse, Evanescence, and Radiohead. (Fight me)
He just loves how emotional their songs are. He'd have one earbud in as he works away at his projects for hours. The music helps him concentrate, it is also a source of emotional support to him.
Hearing the heart-wretching lyrical content of 'Lost in Paradise' performed so beautifully by Amy Lee's angellic voice is really comforting to him. It's like hearing about another person's experiences. It makes him feel less alone in dealing with his emotional and mental turmoils and burdens.
The first time Thomas heard 'Creep' by Radiohead, he almost cried.
He also listens to My Chemical Romance sometimes. He only knows the Black Parade album, but he loves it. If 'Creep' didn't make him cry, listening to that entire album from top to bottom sure did. He started sobbing half-way through 'Famous Last Words'.
Tommy is emotional boi 🥺
Brahms Heelshire
C l a s s i c a l
No matter how stinky Brahms is, you can't tell me that he's not classy.
Schubert is his bitch. Schubert's style tends to be quite majestic and/or dreamy, (generally) and can change color/sound very abruptly yet appropriately. (This is just my opinion based on experience with Schubert's pieces, but then I only know his piano pieces soo) (let's still cue that maestoso to scherzando transition)
But of course, Schubert isn't the only thing he listens to. He prefers the romantic period, so Mendelssohn, Rachmaninoff, Chopin, Shostakovich, Brahms, Schumann, you get the gist, all the staples. Oh yeah Elgar too. To be a proud English lad.
*Brahms swaying in the living room with the grace of a baby giraffe, engrossed in the beautiful melodies in Schumann's Kinderszenen.*
(Oml please check out 'Von fremden Landern und Manschen' and 'Kind im Einschlummern') (For those who play piano, they aren't that difficult too totally recommend) (Ok sorry I'm done now)
Brahms would totally waltz around alone to Chopin's waltzes and nocturnes.
Oh yeah apart from that classy shit, he likes to jam to meme songs.
"Hey now, you're an all star, get your game on, go play---"
*cut to Brahms passionately fortnite dancing*
Listens to The Strange Man Who Sings About Dead Animals for a good laugh. (Please, all of his songs are gold)
Vincent Sinclair
He'll have 'emo' and 'classical' with a side of metal, thanks.
I headcanon that Vinny McWaxy is an INFJ, so the boy is likely prone to crippling existentialism. It would make sense for some aspects of his music taste to reflect that.
*cut to Vincent sitting rock-still on his workbench/stool, hands hover in mid-air, staring straight ahead, some John Cage piece playing*
You'll never hear this from Vincent but he enjoys sexy-time music. He has this whole erotic playlist he listens to while working. (Boy likes to feel sexy on the job, I respect that.)
I think its pretty much canon that Vinny loves MCR. (Hello fellow emo piece of shit 👋) His favorites are everything by them really. A hardcore fan. He used to have MCR, P!ATD, and 30 Seconds to Mars posters plastered everywhere in his workshop until he had to remove them all to add to the intimidation factor of his waxy hell for passer-bys. For the record, he is very gay for Frank Iero.
On the metal part of his spectrum is mostly classic metal, groove metal, and thrash/heavy metal.
Rammstein, Pantera, Vildhjarta, new and old Metallica, Dream Theatre, Coheed and Cambria. His bitches.
He also uses music to scare victims when bringing them down to his workshop. *cue horror movie soundtracks*
*KI KI KI MA MA MA*
Is a whore for the dramatics when in a good mood.
*Lacrimosa by Mozart plays as he makes a point to bring the wax painfully slowly down toward a drowsy and petrified victim*
A lament for your upcoming death, pitiful human.
Bo Sinclair
"The day has come for all us sinners, if you're not a servant you'll be struck to the ground." -- Beast and The Harlot by Avenged Sevenfold
Bastard boy is into dad-music™. (same)
Dad rock, classic rock, pop punk, punk rock, old school pop, his shit.
He listens to a lot of the same bands as Freddy, but Bo (generally) doesn't discriminate and explores a more diverse variety of music.
Its a fandom canon that Bo loves Avenged Sevenfold. I totally agree.
A7x is the perfect amount of cynical, political, and shred for Beauregard, (I hc that ge hates his full name so plz don't ever call him Beauregard)
He listens to the radio whenever he's at work. Whatever that might be.
Will NEVER admit it, but he thinks Vinny's music taste is dope as hell.
He'll turn off the radio just to strain his ears to listen to Vincent's music downstairs. No one will ever know that though. You don't.
Actually likes classical music too. Its not one of his main genres but there's one piece he really likes, Second Movement of Shostakovich Piano Concerto No. 2 in F Major.
He never thought he'd enjoy this type of music. Its so.... Calm. He discovered that piece from Vinny's playlist. When he first heard it on his brother's speaker, he fell in love. It was one of the extremely rare cases in which he'd be committed enough to ask Vinny the name of the music.
Tiny shuffle for man-kind, huge fuckin step for Bo. Good job Bo, we're proud of you.
Also pleeeeeaaase message me or request stuff, I'm bored and have little inspiration 🦊
I might do a pt2 of this, since I didn't write many of the boys and gals🤷♀️
Also sorry if I've neglected some genres/artists (Like i've neglected non-piano classical pieces.... Bc ya girl is just a pianist), a person can't know everything😗
