I think a lot abt Optimus' dynamic w the Malto kiddos, both human and Terran, from the little glimpses we get, but especially in the later episodes of Season 1

Like, I think the way he tries to protect them best he can stems from that line he has about how "I didn't have other Primes to guide me", and how he promises then he'll be there for them, cause he probably sees a bit of his younger self in them. He knows while he can't prevent what's in store for them and their destiny because of being chosen by Quintus, he can like... negate some of the suffering and lost feelings he might've had to go through. At least, as much as he can while working around GHOST

This was brought on by I thought too hard about that frame at the end of the finale when he looks up at the tower and smiles like a proud dad waaahh

I really hope they get more time together in Season 2, I need to see him trying to learn how to Vibe with The Youths through Alex

#i wonder if people take the ''i fear ghost would sieze the terrans for their own use'' line has him saying >#he wants to see what *he* can use them for. its that he wants to protect them but he's aware of the risks involved #i've seen cold takes about OP + the Terrans not getting along that is clearly contradicted by their worry in the finale for him #its more like GHOST is such a looming presence in OP's life unlike some of the other Cybertronians that >#i don't think he has as easy of a time stepping away and making meaningful connections with them #see how he inquires about them thru Bee in eps9/10 #i genuinely think he would love to be apart of their lives in a larger capacity. he is so gentle and hopeful with the new trio >#when they spawn in. its just that his other duties prevent it. wough < getting emotional abt my blorbo at work #aven.text #transformers #optimus prime #transformers earthspark #hi. im a tfes optimus enjoyer. hes one if if not my absolute favorite fictional character

i think her farthest back memory of one of ver's earliest birthdays. since their birthday would have been something reveled in the cult & highly celebrated yet she wouldn't have felt very connected to anyone at the time (as eye was pretty new to the whole 'you are better than us, we can't treat you as simply mortal' thing) so that sorta broken connection/nonexistent social connection i think is something that eventually sophia looks back on in anger and the god uses that to fuel her worship to him
