World Cup ‘18 Playlist

Songs commissioned for the world cup have a theme. They always have a We Are The World, altruistic message, way too much branding, and invoke ‘world music’ or sounds from the host country. It’s sappy and its one of my favorite genres of music. 

In anticipation for the 2018 tournament in russia, i’ve made a youtube playlist (above) of my favorite world cup songs, plus songs I feel like could have been made for the world cup, or tie in nicely with them. tracklist after the jump. Best on random while watching the group stages. Enjoy.
