Perhaps inspired by its location (proximity to Moon🤔) in La Paz - the highest administrative capital in the world, this area was aptly named ‘Moon Valley’. Majority of a mountain was eroded away due to its composition of clay instead of rock, leaving tall spires that resembled a landscape from outer space. A day trip out from Medellin, Colombia, to the small town of Guatape. Did a short (but exhausting) hike up El Penon - a massive rock hill on the outskirts of the town, followed by a tuk-tuk ride to this most colourful town of Colombia, spending the rest of the afternoon exploring the different zocalo (3D painted panels) adorning each building. While Antarctica is the highest, windiest, coldest and driest continent, it is much more than a block of ice.
