Luna-Akiyama

Taku Akiyama (39) - Karmine Luna (37) - Setsuna Luna-Akiyama (15)

This young family loves living near the mountains. Sure, there's work and homework and dinners to be made - but there's always time for a trip outdoors.

Sure, Karmine might have to take it a little easier this pregnancy (she isn't as young as she was when she had Setsuna) but thus far her pregnancy is going well and she can still be as active as she loves to be!

Taku Akiyama

Taku had found his parents' divorce hard, but he had to give it to them - they handled it well.

Taku was by then 15 and more interested in being with his friends and... girls. Karmine wasn't really on his radar then, but that quickly changed when he was 18 and she came visiting on one of her breaks again. By then, she was traveling alone as her mother just had had a baby.

When she went home that year, they continued talking. Building a long-distance - friendship that, as she moved here once she had turned 20, quickly evolved to more. And a baby!

They poured their young love and energy into building a home and raising a family.

Taku's mother, and eventually his sister too, moved to Henford-on-Bagley. He does visit now and then (it's not extremely far) but as they are now expecting another baby, he hopes his family will come here instead!

Karmine Luna

Seems like Karmine always gets surprised by her pregnancies! Setsuna wasn't really planned (Karmine was only 22 when she was born) and now she thought they weren't going to have more. Well, apparently baby sister felt otherwise!

Karmine met Taku already when she was a kid. Her mother loved taking her here for winter breaks, and Karmine and Taku always hung when she was here. And so, when she was old enough to leave the home, she moved here.

The plan was only to stay for a while but well - when she found herself pregnant she decided to stay! By then, her mother and Kyle had just welcomed her two younger siblings and Karmine was ready for her own life.

Now, she has lived here for 17 years, and she as never regretted it one bit!

Setsuna Luna-Akiyama

You ready to get up to the mountain? Yeah? Alright, let's go!

Setsuna loves living in Mt Komorebi. It let's her use up all her adventurous energy and with parents who are familiar with the mountains and the village, she never has to worry that they'll say no or be boring nay-sayers to her ideas.

She's surprisingly happy she's going to get a sibling. As much as she has loved having her parents' full attention, she is by now 15 and ready to live her own life. A baby is the perfect distraction for her parents!

Slowly but surely filling up my blank save file, the goal is to renovate all the community lots and apartments to my liking and with CC. 😮‍💨😮‍💨 I have San Myshuno, Tartosa, Sulani and Mt Komorebi left.

Ah another happy day for Jack! Until he heard the next song DJ R-3X played... 'When will I see you again? When will we share precious moments? Will I have to wait forever? Will I have to suffer (suffer) And cry the whole night through?' `When Will I See You Again' by The Three Degrees

He thought of that guy. Jack hadn't seen him for a few days now. Do you miss him, Jack? Jack: "pfft!"

But this was a big step forward! It's not easy to follow your thoughts in a dream and remember something. And it was so much harder for Jack who learned to escape to his 'Armadillo World' when his trauma from the Lab hit again or things became unbearable for him. But Jack tried to cling on to his thoughts and stepped outside to look if the guy was there. He wasn't.

And when Jack tried to leave and look for him - he couldn't! (Which is strange because Dtui said, he could leave if he wanted to...) He went to the other side of the base and tried to escape over the mountains. But no matter how hard he tried, he always fell back.

Jack was at the end of his strength and just about to lose consciousness...

And then it hit him like the scream of a Rancor. All his memories at once. Kiyoshi. He tried to kill him. And he put the lives of his friends at stake by trying to kill members of the council. His friends. Vlad. Gods - Vlad was here and he turned his back on him! All the feelings. Guilt, shame, self hate, loss, love... And then... darkness - what a relief... Jack? You can't stay here! Get up!

The Best Neighborhoods in The Sims 4

Ever wondered where your Sims should call home in The Sims 4? I sure have! Those pesky loading screens can be a real pain, so I went on a quest to find the perfect neighborhoods. Whether you're all about rabbit holes, street stalls, or free-range exploration, I've got your back. Here's the list of the best neighborhoods in The Sims 4, considering the activities available outside of the lot boundaries.

1. All Neighborhoods in Henford-on-Bagley - The Ultimate Playground

If you're after the most action without loading screens, Henford-on-Bagley is where it's at. This charming locale is packed with NPCs offering small quests, excellent swimming and fishing spots, and tons of plant and mushroom spawns. In Finchwick, you'll find bustling market stalls and vibrant village fairs. It's a shopper's paradise. In Bramblewood, you can interact with the creature keeper and embark on exciting quests for adventure-seeking Sims.

2. Plumbite Cove, Copperdale

For those of us who want variety without the hassle of loading screens, Plumbite Cove in Copperdale is a dream come true. This neighborhood offers a stunning beach, an amusement park, prime fishing spots, and cool teen hangouts. It almost feels like an open-world experience.

3. Senbamachi, Mt. Komorebi

Senbamachi in Mt. Komorebi is perfect for those who love the great outdoors. With hiking trails, festivals, and plenty of interactive objects, it's a nature lover's delight, especially if you have the Seasons expansion. This neighborhood offers a lovely blend of culture and natural beauty.

4. Moonwood Mill

If you're into all things supernatural like me, you'll love Moonwood Mill. This werewolf-packed world is brimming with semi-open world adventures. From lakeside swimming and fishing to mysterious underground tunnels and the wolf packs' hangouts, it's an action-packed locale. And guess what? You can forage for all sorts of goodies right on your home lot. No more annoying loading screens interrupting your fun!

5. Gibbs Hill, Britechester

Surprisingly, the main neighborhood of the university world in Britechester is bustling with life. There are swimming and fishing spots, occasional street stalls, and a variety of outdoor activities. Whether you're hitting the books or exploring, there's something for every Sim here.

6. Mua Pel'am, Sulani

If you're playing as a merfolk, Mua Pel'am in Sulani is the place to be. It's a natural paradise with fantastic swimming and fishing, scuba diving, and hidden underwater caves. The environmental story progression here is a unique treat. But fair warning, it's a bit secluded, which could be just what you're looking for.

For Occults?

Vampires: Although Forgotten Hollow feels like the natural choice for vampires due to the lack of direct sunlight, the world is super small and boring. Consider Henford-on-Bagley if you have Seasons, as it's often cloudy or rainy. Windenburg is another option for the same reason, however, the neighborhoods in Windenburg do not offer as many open-world gameplay opportunities.

Merfolk: All the neighborhoods I mentioned earlier are perfect for merfolk, with their open swimming areas and enchanting waters.

Witches, Aliens, and Ghosts: Thanks to Glimmerstone and direct teleportation to the magic realm, witches can thrive in any neighborhood without limitations. Aliens and Ghosts have no specific requirements so anywhere is fair game, really.

Werewolves: For those interested in exploring the pack system, Moonwood Mill is the place to be. I wish we, the players, could create and designate our own pack hangouts in any other world though.

The rest of the day is spent visiting some of the local historical sites suggested by their neighbor, Ami. At the temple, they're sure to leave their own notes of gratitude amongst the hundreds of others hanging on display. Then they hike to the cave shrine to silently pay their respects.

meet awanata mankiller, my sim for this challenge

awanata is a really dear oc of mine, since 2020. in her original story, "she is a teenager who lives with her grandmother, mother and toddler brother in a local reservation. she has a dog named dino. it is difficult to be a teenage girl, even more difficult being a human who sometimes dwell in the hidden world." i wanted to bring one oc of mine to the sims gameplay, i feel like she was the most fitted for this challenge.

Ito-Nishidake

Kiyoshi Ito (44) - Kaori Nishidake (44) - Haruto Ito-Nishidake (10)

Kaori and Kiyoshi knew they were destined for each other.

Their families despised each other.

So these two kids were smart enough to apply to university and spend their early twenties at Britechester, studying and getting to know each other - far away from parents and grandparents.

But since they both love the slopes of Mount Komorebi, they were bound to come back. Luckily, by now Kaori’s grandfather was easier to deal with - even if he didn’t like that Kiyoshi was now the son of divorced parents, at least his father had moved.

The couple decided to not get too upset by that analysis of the whole thing.

And now, they live by their beloved mountain - together with their son.

Kiyoshi Ito

His parents divorce had hit him hard. He was in uni by then, but he heard some of it from Nanami. Whom their own mother thought better to send to San Myshuno than to take care of!

Now, Nanami seems busy with the intricate of running her successful business, in that mirroring their father (at least to Kiyoshi, according to Nanami it's what Lily taught her).

Kiyoshi knows he is more like his mother, but he still finds it hard to connect with her. Outward, they are the famous snowboarder and her son - but Kiyoshi rarely spends time with her on his free time.

He never talks to his father. Initially, he had felt sad for him but when dad took most of the money and the business and moved to a tropical island to - according to rumors - date some woman younger than Kiyoshi, yeah - Kiyoshi cut those ties.

Now, he pours his love and energy into his family. He and Kaori are working hard on their relationship - both adamant not to walk in the footsteps of his parents.

Kaori Nishidake

Kaori has always loved Kiyoshi. They were at university when his parents divorced and she supported him and made sure he finished his degree.

She sometimes wish he would get over the past, but she also knows that by reflecting on his parents' actions he is doing what he can not to repeat them.

Kaori still misses her parents, and now her grandparents. But she tries to find joy in her son and in the future of her family - not it's past.

And so, she is teaching him everything she can about their heritage, their connection to the land and also how to enjoy the thrill of skating down the mountain!

Haruto Ito-Nishidake

Haruto loves being in the mountains with his parents, and with his grandmother. She is kinda cool! Haruto also loves music.

He finds it a bit repetitive the way his mother talks about their family and heritage, but he does love the food she cooks - so he decides to focus on the positive side of her focus on their ancestors.

Haruto wishes there were a few more children here. Sure, he can always join Setsuna in the slopes, but she's a teen now and doesn't want to play as much as she used to.
