Redesign of Sig Nicious (full name Sigilith Avernicious in our game) for our warcraft dnd campaign as we just ran into him. He's san'layn. Poor guy got cornered by an obsessed fan, but he's free now and doing his best to be righteous despite his new existence.

Had some personal head canons about Night Elves and ranks in two of their major organizations. Wanted to establish design notes for myself for when I draw characters in the future.
Sentinels
Ranks: Cadet - Basic armor. No flourishes. Sentinel - Feathers are added to the uniform. Ranger/Huntress - Two claws are added to the uniform, as are gems to the belt and helmet. Ranger is elite infantry while Huntress is saber cavalry. Captain - Two more claws are added to the armor, for a total of four. Gems are added to chest. Captains oversee units or smaller areas. Commander - Two more claws are added, for a total of six. Commanders oversee several captains or entire regions. The General is the highest ranked commander. Text in image below: When a night elf reaches 100 years of age she is inducted to the Sentinels for the next 100 years. Uniform color is based on the environment of where they are stationed. If they stay with the Sentinels after the mandatory 100 years, feathers are added to their uniform, the feather color are their choice. When a Sentinel receives a rank, claws and gems are added to their uniform to easily show this rank. More gems and claws are added as rank goes up. Sentinels also chose gem type and color, though pure white gems are reserved for Priestesses of the Moon. White moons must be clear on a priestess's armor.
Tumblr media
Sisterhood of the Moon
Ranks: Maiden - Blue robes, decorated with dark blue sashes. Maidens cannot be initiated until the woman in question completes her mandatory 100 years in the Sentinels. Sister - After their training is complete, they receive their white moonsilk robes and can choose the color of their sashes- so long as it's a dark color. The longer the women serves as a priestess the more platinum jewelry she accumulates. Mother - A leadership position. Overseers of a shine, temple, or village reach this rank, and their sashes are pastel. Elder - Their robes and sashes are completely white. These Priestesses oversee entire regions, much like a Sentinel Commander. The High Priestess is the highest ranked Elder. Cleric- Not a rank, but a type of Priestess that is also a member of the Sentinels. (Though time spent in the Sentinels is a requirement of joining the sisterhood, there is not a need to remain in them once finished with their required service.) Text in image below: Robes of the Sisterhood of the Moon made of moonsilk and are decorated in platinum jewelry. Platinum is considered Elune's metal due to its scarcity and its resilience, and is reserved for priestesses and holy jewelry.
The longer a woman is a priestess, the more jewelry she is ordained with. Initiates are called "Maidens" and wear blue robes, to emulate the Blue Child.
Once they are formally ordained, they wear white robes and become "Sisters". Sisters have dark sashes, their choice of colors. Sashes lighten as the priestess's rank goes up, indicating the glowing brightness of the moon. Rank is less about power and more to indicate chain of command.
When a Sister becomes a leader of some sort, like of a shrine, village, or organization, they become a "Mother". Mothers wear pastel sashes.
Elders are the highest rank, reserved for priestesses that oversee an entire region. Elders and the High Priestess wear all white. Clerics are a subset of priestesses that are warriors, not a rank. Their sash and armor clearly display their rank, and veteran priestesses wear armor coated in platinum.
During Imperial times, robes were wrap dresses that emulated moonbeams wrapping around the body, and arcane magic allowed for ethereal effects. Cloth color denoted the rank of priestess.

Lollichops Mile Long Video Game Rec's
Nobody asked but I've decided to make a list of games I personally belive everyone should play because they fuck (mostly shooters sorry not sorry)
there should be a cut here if there isnt send a pipe bomb to my email address
Half-Life 1&2 +the episodes All of half-life is good and is in my opinion the grandfather of every modern shooter ever and for how old and mildly janky it is it still holds up with a gripping 'story' and excellent gunplay, hl2 is similar to that but just feels slightly different overall the hl series is a must play.
Portal 1&2 Another valve classic it's just sits in my mind as a staple of gaming. Its an amazing puzzle platformer where you get this use portals. You HAVE to play portal it's an impotent part of gaming history.
Tf2 Okay last valve game I prommy tf2 is a great ftp game that is fairly easy to get the hang of if you're familiar with multiplayer fps its great fun with friends and just feels good to play (its also a gaming classique).
Postal (I prefer the original over redux but both are good) I am holding you at gunpoint go play classic postal right now or else its a top down edgy late nineties shooter that if played correctly will bewitch your brain and make a wholly different person also it's genuinely fun and on normal difficulties almost feels arcadey.
Postal 2 Is literally nothing like postal apart from having the same main character, it a charming fps that has fun mechanics and some of the most bizzare player/ai interactions I've ever seen you should play postal 2 please play postal 2.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl I've already made a post about this one so here's the short version. Stalker is an open world post-apoc shoot that takes place in and around chernobyl. It really enjoy it's inventory management and gunplay. I also think it has excellent voice acting and it holds a special place in my heart.
Zoo Tycoon 2 I was an animal kid and love classic zoo tycoon so this was greatest birthday present when I was like nine, it's a free download on archive.org
Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 or RCT classic It's the first 'tycoon' themed game ever I believe and the two versions I've recommended are the best, you build custom theme parks and then stare at them in wonder. There's challenges but you don't get punished for not completing them so you can do basically whatever you want.
Dishonored 1&2 Stealth games with an incredibly gripping story and excellent gameplay dishonored is great if you hate rich people and want to kill them with swords.
FATE: The Traitor Soul This is a combo pack of every FATE game in one, this is not really a must play but it holds a special place in my heart as one of the few games i physically bought and owned on my family's PC. It's a topdown dungeon crawler with a completely randomized dungeon that you try to reach the bottom of. it has a charming story and a very interesting artstyle that feels very world of warcraft but with less boobies.
Bioshock 1&2 Do I even need to say anything? Bioshock 1&2 have a mild amount of jank and may look a little rough around the edges but are overall excellent games. Both have an amazing plot that holds up even after multiple playthroughs, both have actually fun gameplay where it's challenging in the beginning and is almost like a light horror game (more for bio 1 than 2) but by then end it becomes more of run and gun action game.
Disco Elysium An insane rpg/visual novel with an amazing amount of choices that actually effect the world around you. has an intensely gripping story in an incredibly interesting world. Please play disco elysium.
Borderlands 2 It may not have the best dialogue or gameplay and has an objectively weird default control scheme but it makes up for it with raw charm other games can kinda feel like borderlands but nothing really comes close to how it feels exactly. I consider it a slice of early 2010s everything. (this means it's very painful to hear the funny internet references somtimes)

My first Last Call Column 8.20.2008
Funny reading this. Lets me know I had a long way to go towards sobriety and being a competent writer. So impressed with myself I am! But also, the party described below was kinda legendary.
Go here for the original: https://www.fwweekly.com/2008/08/20/7th-haven-redux-ii/
Steve Stories: Vol. IX At a certain age, the prospect of going to a themed house party can elicit the same emotions as a trip to the dry cleaners. Sure, playing dress-up and getting hammered is fun when you’re in college, but when you’re able to drink in bars without having to convince the door-guy that you really are 29, 6-foot-8, and from Juneau, going to a themed house party seems like just an unnecessary hassle. That, and, um, you usually end up doing way too much nitrous.
Anyway, there are a few exceptions, most of whose appeal is directly proportional to the ease with which you can fit the theme. Unless you’re really into needlepoint and/or a little touched in the head, a World of Warcraft party, for example, might not be for you. And I’ve been to so many ’80s parties over the past couple of years, I’ve actually started wearing my “costumes” during non-drinking hours. (“What?!” I explain. “I’m just being ‘retro.’ “)
On the other hand, a themed house party like the one I was recently invited to – a bathrobe party – was right up my comfy, drowsy, litter-strewn alley. I’ve done a lot of drinking in my house clothes but typically when no one else was around. The idea of full-throttle partying with only a single layer of terrycloth between me and a potential future ex-wife sounded, I admit, damn enticing. So off a couple buddies and I went.
Things couldn’t have started off better. A screamo band was playing, you couldn’t throw a slipper without hitting an ice chest full of delicious alcohol, and, yes, there were gals there – cute gals – whose presence indeed made me feel a little like that famous, lecherous old guy who lives in a mansion inhabited by barely dressed silicone dolls. I forget his name, but the sensation that I was he became encompassing. And that’s when things went downhill. Quickly.
My 14 Budweisers had magically turned into seven, and the rich amber contents of a full fifth of Seagram’s that I’d brought – it was full when I got there! ask my friends! – had suddenly vanished … along with my bathrobe, leaving me in nothing but my board-shorts … and along with my common sense, reducing me to some heretofore undocumented species of primate, the kind that thinks sabotaging female homo sapiens’ bathrobes is a suave come-on and that also slumps into oblivion when he wants, where he wants; in this case, on a cooler fewer than 15 inches from an earth-shatteringly loud screamo band.
“Do you think he’s gonna get up?” one onlooker reportedly asked between songs. “I dunno,” said another. “I seriously doubt it.” Were I conscious, I just would have shaken my head in amused contempt and coolly replied, “Dudes. You invited me to, basically, a pajama party. What were you really expecting?” – Steve Steward

Experimenting with some refined sketches with a new brush. Featuring some snippets from Vel and Kael's first actual "date". He liked listening to Vel explain Hearthstone cards to him.

My take on Al'ar in our AU warcraft campaign. Stuff happened. He's an "undead" ash phoenix to go with the fact Kael'thas is a vampyr. Also new ref sheet layout! I like that it looks more sleek.
