Misconceptions about Astrology

Hello! It's been a while since I posted the last observation here and I kinda miss that time. Since I'm turning more to traditional tropical astrology than before and learning about this topic, I've found out some misconceptions about tropical astrology, specifically made by modern tropical astrologers. Even I used to interpret some astrology placements and now I find some of these interpretations objectively wrong. Which are these misconceptions I'm talking about, you're gonna see in this post. I hope you're gonna learn something new today.

Myth: Houses are connected to the zodiac signs. For example, having planets in the 2nd house is exactly the same as having planets in Taurus.

Fact: Sadly, houses are not connected to any zodiac signs. No, Aries does not rule the 1st house. No, the 6th house is not related to the Virgo sign. No, Aquarius is not connected to the 11th house etc. That is false. Back in June, in one of my first observations, I used to think this way, that houses are somehow related to zodiac signs, but I found out this was the wrong interpretation of placements and I deeply apologize for that. In Hellenistic (traditional tropical) astrology, there's a thing called planetary joys, meaning that every planet has the most joy in a certain house. For example, the Sun has its joy in the 9th house, the Moon has its joy in the 3rd house, Mercury has its joy in the 1st house, Venus has its joy in the 5th house, Mars has its joy in the 6th house, Jupiter has its joy in the 11th house, while Saturn has its joy in the 12th house. All of these planets function very well in these mentioned houses.

Myth: Our natal chart represents our personality, who we are, our purpose, what our soul wants and what we are supposed to do.

Fact: Our natal chart actually represents our whole life and what is possibly going to happen in our life. It's not only about our personality and who we are. There's a common belief that our natal chart is about our own individual path we're meant to take, making us feel more individualistic, special and powerful, which I find very empowering and I appreciate if some people want to take control of their own life and to know more about themself. However, our natal chart also tells us about our father, mother, siblings, cousins, partners, boss, professors, working class, children etc. It is also about both of our fortunate and unfortunate events in our life we cannot fully control. So, if you're struggling to find your suitable partner or to make some money and you think you're the problem here because you're not manifesting enough or something else, maybe it's not that you're the only problem, maybe you're in an environment that is not serving you to get succeed in relationship or in finances. Or something unexpected might happen in your life which may delay your success. Trust me, your life will be much easier when you stop thinking that your natal chart tells you and what you're supposed to do.

Myth: The degrees are also related to zodiac signs. For example, The 10th degree (10°) and 22nd degree (22°) are Capricorn's degrees. 5°, 17° and 29° are Leo's degrees etc.

Fact: That is completely false. Degrees do not work like that in tropical astrology at all. In Hellenistic astrology, we use the terms, mostly the Egyptian terms, to interpret the dignity and condition of planets through the degrees. Let me give you an example! So, If you might have the Sun at 22° of Gemini in your natal chart, that doesn't mean you have the Capricorn's degree or that your natal Sun in Gemini is influenced by Capricorn or Saturn at any point. Actually, your natal Sun at 22° of Gemini is placed in Mars' term (Mars' term in Gemini sign goes from 17°00' of Gemini until 23°59' of Gemini). So, your natal Sun in Gemini is not only influenced by Mercury, your natal Sun in Gemini is also influenced by the planet Mars. I'm gonna post a picture of the Egyptian terms table, so you can see how degrees actually work in tropical astrology.

Myth: Venus in man's chart represents his partner, while Mars in woman's chart represents her partner.

Fact: Venus in both man's and woman's chart represents their partner and which kind of people they might be attracted to. Venus also represents sex, not Mars. The planet Mars represents war, violence, destruction, impulsiveness, which danger shows in our life, taking forced actions we don't want to do etc. Love is supposed to be balanced, harmonized and peaceful, definitely not violent, destructive and dangerous. But that may hit different if you have Mars in the 7th house, or even Mars aspecting Venus (conjunction, opposition or square). Sex is also supposed to be balanced and harmonized. Two people sleep together because they both chose that freely, not because someone forced another partner to have sex. So, Mars cannot represent sex and your partner if you're a female, I'm sorry.

Anyways, I think I said everything I wanted to say about this topis. I hope you enjoyed it and found this observation useful. I only want to help you to interpret astrology placements with accuracy. I wish you all the successful week ahead!

I'm basically treating these freaks like barely-tethered-to-canon characters. At least in the case of 007n7, Chance and Guest 1337. I've known of and preferred other characterizations of 1x1x1x1 prior to Forsaken (no shade/not intended to be condescending, just info). Also note my interpretation of canon deviates a lot (to my knowledge).

Anywho, onwards!

007n7 centered headcanons + Some 1x1x1x1 (x 007n7.. hehfhr)

- Transmasculine/Agender. He finds any thought or idea of being seen as a woman deeply unpleasant.. Fortunately passes really well though, in my canon most people (aside from his closer friends / Chance and Guest 1337) do not even know due to how private he is

- - Also adding on/Obvious but I like the idea of Guest 1337 and Chance being the most amiable towards him. Chance because they have a history of being unreliable/flippant at times / truly struggling with a gambling addiction (recovered but still something they're heavily associated w/ by other survivors) and Guest 1337 because he's quite self-sacrificial and cares a great deal for anyone and has the ability to look past 007n7's past (doubly so because of his own demons and guilt haunting him) without excusing him/coddling him. Chance isn't a bad friend here to clarify; They just often used sleep as an escape and previously hid in their apartment or other locations when out of funds in their former life (not doublefedora related here.(not that theres anything wrong w that though lol)).

- Heavily projecting here but 007n7 is Jewish and is fluent in Hebrew, although again, most don't even know this about him. They might hear a slip of a curse or hostile wish if he thinks he's by himself and does smthn . Like stub his toe or whatever. (Or in rounds and gets shocked by a generator, trips, what have you..). C00lkidd has picked up some and speaks broken bits, but due to their current situation (+being separated from his dad for extended periods and not caring or remember to practice) he has forgotten most of it. Knows basic greetings, well wishes, etc.. He picked up on like two cursewords lol

- - It's more of a cultural/ethnic background for him, he's never been able to connect to most religions. I think he'd be a member reform synagogue. He probably stopped going after he got c00lkidd since his hands were full + attendance that progressively got more sporadic.

- A bit random but he likes spiders. Very much against flies / most insects and appreciates that the spiders keep then away. Might get mocked by his 2 bros for having a cobweb in a corner that he's just chill with. I doubt he could perform the upkeep to keep any pets, though. He likes dogs and cats equally, I'd say.

- Actually not a big fan of pizza due to getting sick of eating the same thing no matter what but unfortunately most options r limited.. I like to headcanon that the Spectre does restock their personal fridges at times though and he cooks for himself whenever he can

- - Two notes / piggybacking off that: Survivors have their own separate areas. There is the main/common building, and some do sleep there, but there aren't many rooms upstairs and it lacks privacy + more exposure to noise. Most of them have smaller buildings not too far from the main one, with 007n7's being the furthest possible.

And 2: Enjoys cooking and doing other small tasks because it makes him feel in control of his life. Similar things like cleaning are a comfort to him, shockingly. Most people assume he's a slop and when he's depressed.. it can get like that, however when you have an omnipresent entity tormenting you, you develop interesting/different coping mechanisms.

- Has vague medical knowledge from a previous mild fixation on medicine previously that would go away and come back since his freshman year. (I'm not projecting I swear)

- Actually working on healing himself as a person lol. I do enjoy the concept of him being pathetic and afraid (and I lean into it often) but I also like the idea of him developing some snark. Possibly a reason for 1x1x1x1 to develop interest in him, he jabs at 1x1x1x1 before getting killed /, running away or whatever lol.. he's still a bit of coward who VERY much feels pain, though, and does more running and fixing things in the shadows than direct confrontation. Slippery guy

- Feels guilt for what he did and the isolation he faces doesn't help. But he slowly tortures himself less and less, especially as a means to gain control over his life + a desire to stop constantly dissociating and intentionally triggering himself because he "believes he deserves it"

- Physical headcanons is that he's 5"8 and a bit stocky / broad guy. Sorta muscular dad bod? Hard 2 explain.. used to be insecure, still sometimes is. He has a sleeper build underneath lol

- A little obsessive. Fixates on certain details, sometimes people. Isn't weird about it but he has formed a heavy attachment to his two friends (and subsequently/later on 1x1x1x1.. I imagine 1x is as flattered by this as he is shocked/intrigued)

- Again projecting but big on tea. He's not a connoisseur by any means, however he knows what he likes and what he doesn't. Like some of the big staples (especially for health and herbal medicine reasons, has some books on that, too) such as green tea, lemon (+honey) ginger, chamomile, etc.

- Likes flowers to an extent. Has minor pollen allergies, though. For this reason he tends to favor Fall over Spring, though he truly loves Spring the most. Being out in the sun is a must for him after all the years of being a shut-in and depression. He enjoyed taking c00lkidd out whenever possible, though he stopped hiking (frequently did so before) since c00lkidd wasn't a big fan unless there was more stimulation (i.e racing, tag, constant chatting, etc.)

- His favorite kind of weather is a mildly sunny day with a lot of clouds and a deep blue sky. He doesn't enjoy excess heat or sunlight, though. Burns semi-easily after a bit as his skin never took to tanning, especially after, again, not going outside for periods of time.

- Also fond of those grey-sky days where it might rain some, might not. Slight breeze.

- If he had to pick a favorite natural disaster he would probably gravitate towards whirlpools and large bouts of lightning. Maybe dust devils.

- He likes Silent Hill and most old-style horror games. Gets nostalgic over the old Playstation intro. Enjoys terraria.

- He likes the smell of Wisteria oil if we're talking about flowers still. Fond of dandelions, especially since he carried over the little tradition with c00lkidd of wishing on them and blowing them (also tosses pennies into fountains).

- Likes the smell of smoke, campfires, and sometimes burnt sage. Most incense tends to be too strong for him, sadly.

- If you ask him for his sexuality he'll just say queer or something along those lines since it's too much thought for him. Doesn't have much reason to care beyond that, his preferences are fluid but more masculine and/or androgynous leaning.

1x1x1x1 headcanons (a bit less developed since I'm primarily ill over 007)

- Probably 6"8-6"10. Though imagine it's hard for majority of people to gauge his height beyond "holy shit that tall person is coming at me at Mach 40 with a sword"

- ^ Fast runner, can be silent if he wants to. Yet he can't resist being loud because he likes terrorizing others and being known.

-  Gloats a little. Not entirely undeserved considering his strength but it can be hard for most to tolerate. I think 007n7 may challenge him on some things, yet flatter/agree on others. He does admire him to an extent, after all, especially with his own insecurities and also. Not Being Able To Generally Fight Back against killers 99% of the time

- Struggles with emotional regulation, picks up some skills throughout his time alive but does deal with intense loneliness that is masked as "anger."

- Very obsessive. Not in a gross way, but due to intense loneliness and trauma of some variation, he does not react well to being ignored or being left behind (or the perceived thought of it). Probably also why he is more willing to connect with 007n7 after developing some interest and lowering some walls. Rare is it that killers develop close bonds as they all sorta have their own issues and reside in their own areas.

- The closest "friends" he has would be John Doe and Azure (somewhat). Don't ask me why Azure specifically, ive yet to make a good reason for it aside from vague shared betrayal trauma </3 /lh j. Takes a fondness for c00lkidd in specific due to the small dudes naivety, but doesn't know how to react around kids, so he might appear standoffish.

- He isn't incompetent as far as domestic upkeep goes, but he's not too interested in doing much. Prefers to wander outside and explore, likes forests and the cover they provide.

- ok just hear me out. But if he was a more healthy and unburdened individual, he'd have a generous primadonna/self-assured personality. Think Lottie from the princess and the frog is she was a giant dude instead LMFAOO.. Ik this is irrelevant but I would like to explore a what-if idea someday and that's. Part of it. Lalalala I am cringe and free. I know this is very ooc but Hey.

- Gorgeous black hair.. how does he do it, we may never know.

- He doesn't care much about fashion. He enjoys some styles over others, but his main motive is what is:

1. Easy to move/run in, especially for extended periods.

2. Durable/Not cheaply made.

3. At minimum somewhat flattering on him. He doesn't wear much shirts or arm accessories, prefers range of motion + having his torso exposed.

- If he did wear accessories, he'd gravitate towards specific piercings. Absolutely would go for ear piercings, and the ornate / jeweled ones, too.

- Maybe rings.

- If they did more damage, I feel like he'd enjoy brass knuckles. (Tbf, I think he could do significant harm regardless of weapon type, it just comes down to preference and speed)

- He likes some of the poorly made horror tales that you'd tell to scare your friends at a sleepover. Dude is a fan of Bloody Mary. /pos

- He wouldn't admit it immediately, but he likes libraries, castles and Gothic churches. Very fond of previous Robloxia history, even if he sees unbecoming things said about him. Sometimes it upsets him, sometimes it amuses him. But most of the time he's annoyed (worst case: enraged) over how many details people got WRONG. If you're going to speak of his harrowing acts, at least get it right.

- In spite of this, rarely will he destroy a book. It's just wrong to him. And though he may indulge in the occasional fit of breaking things to cent frustration, something like that is too childish, even for him.

- Once in a rare moment, he will feel a deep sense of mourning and longing for what could've been. In the dead of night, where it's so dark that even his own hands and body are noticeably obscured from his vision, he grieves for a life he cannot even properly envision having. A world where he wasn't created. A world where he wasn't destined to be at odds with Shedletsky, wasn't forced to be a foil for him. A world where he could express emotions as strongly as he did hate and vengeance. Where maybe instead of seeking a false justice that's been beaten into the ground ten thousand and ten thousand more times over, he'd have advocated for something righteous. He doesn't talk or do much for a while after these moments, and does his best to forget they ever occur at all.

What's most hilarious is I'm not even big into the game. I just love the characters + roblox characters as a whole. I tried playing but most servers I joined were pretty toxic </333 and yet.. I still am fixated... I'm a fake fan /j

NCT Dream Tea Sessions

Disclaimer: No facts, all alleged, just my interpretation of the cards

Now, time to look into the Dream members. Luckily it is only 5 members, since I did Mark and Haechan for the 127 installments, so this one won't require too much time and energy, but I am interested to see what they will share, since the older members had a lot of tea, let' see what I can pull from them. Also, their latest album is fire. I have that on repeat right now, yeah, just learned they released it lol Not sure how long ago it was released.

Okay, they gave me tea, especially Chenle and Jisung.

Renjun

He seems like someone who may run from his emotions. This is interesting we have this ace of cups. I can usually see that as these drinks they take, it is between two cards and both figures are looking at this cup, so that is significant, but not sure what it means. He may have lied and schemed his way out of it, or maybe he finds ways to stay away from these drinks.

He seems to be an independent person and wants to make his own way in the idol world, so I don't see him falling for traps, or getting involved in stuff that could give him the upper hand, that isn't authentic. It is like he wants to build his own fortune, with his own hard work. He could be delusional about things. He may see things better than it is. He seems like he has difficulties facing the realities of things.

He does seem to lack money, or support, and he may not get many career opportunities. I wanted more for this, because this seemed obvious to a casual fan like me, so I wanted to know what is the tea here. I got the Tower and the Chariot. It seems he may want to leave, or he is showing that the company is losing money, doesn't have much ability to support him as much, but it seems he wants to move on. It seems things surrounding the company seems chaotic and there is a lack of structure there

I asked for more about the ace of cups, and got 2 of Wands (of course) and 8 of swords. So, this is about sleeping with others, and being trapped to do it, but I am not sure he did it, and he may have found witty ways to maneuver out of it.

Jeno

He does seem like someone who wants to talk about and discuss his hurt and frustration about how things are. I like how the King of Wands is in the middle. It is like he wants change, to speak up and inspire change and evolution of how things are done with the company and industry. This man is quite creative and has a strong motivational energy around him.

Yeah, I just see him wanting to move forward from the bs of it all. The 10 of Cups in this deck just always give me these idols always having to appear like a family, a happy unit, even though it isn't that way behind the scenes. He may want that to change, or the fake image of them having a wholesome image to change.

I see him wanting to have the ability to express how he feels, the pain, the hurt and frustration, without trying to hide himself. I see him wanting to be more authentic and himself to others. I just see him as someone who wants to communicate, open up and defend his ideas and opinions more to others. He doesn't want to be a robot or fake. He may want to talk about the crazy sh** they do behind the scenes to.

Man, I like his vibe, I wish he could speak up more, but unfortunately not in the industry he is in, they can't do that.

Jaemin

Seems he was promised something in the past or he is nostalgic about the past, like the potential he may have had, or the vision he may have had in the past. Maybe things didn't turn out how he may have liked.

He seems to be weighing his options, not sure of which career path to take. He seems kind of neutral about things. He seems to play it safe with things as well. There could be this inability to mature and grow. It is like he is stunted.

He seems pretty passive, like he struggles to take action, take the lead or mature in a sense. There could be career opportunities opening up for him, but not sure he does much with it, or expands on much of anything. I just get strong passive energy with him. He just goes with the motions. He may play with ideas, but he lacks conviction, initiate and passion.

He seems to have his mood swings. Some days he is feeling great, others feeling pretty down. He just doesn't progress that much or try to make any moves or changes. He may have a fear of taking the leap and taking a chance.

I did ask if he likes being an idol, and he gave me the Queen of Wands, so yeah he likes the attention. He just doesn't like to do much work. He lets them do all the work behind the scenes and he just performs.

Yeah, he lacks energy, and the will to do anything, very interesting.

Chenle

Wow, lots of Pentacles with him. Does he come from money? Is he the company favorite or the favorite of some rich people. We got a couple here the King and Queen of Pentacles, so they could play a significant role in his life.

It seems he wants to defend himself or speak out against people he works with, or he is someone pretty vocal about things when it comes to his work life. He can be a bit of a loudmouth and can be hurtful. It is like he can say what he wants, because he is protected by these people.

He seems to get paid very well or fairly by these people. He gets what he works for, so he doesn't seem that unfairly treated. I just heard, he is a princess, my guides or whoever said that are savages lol He can be a bit of a brat and entitled as well.

He does seem to have a projected image of himself. What you see isn't what he really is. It is concocted by his team and the company. I wouldn't be surprised if his back story isn't true. He seems very surrounded by powerful people.

I asked more for this Justice card, because I had no clue what that meant, got the Queen of Pentacles again, and wheel of fortune. This dude is made of money or knows people who have it. It seems there could be deal this QOP's made with the company for Chenle's sake, maybe for him to get a fair deal and get compensated well. Or Chenle just has the right people on his side.

Also, another tidbit, if this boy does shady shit, we won't know, he knows people, or his parents do and they will find ways to keep that quite through money, but get that too. I don't know why that came up, but Justice means the legal system and government, so it made me think of that too.

Oh, this was tea! Very interesting.

Jisung

Hmm, he seems pretty stifled. There seems to be lack of opportunities for him. He seems kind of bored of it all and stuck. He could have a lack mindset. I don't think he gets enough support from the company.

I do see drinks offered to him as well, he is showing in the past. He may have been offered things when he was young and naive. He may have taken these offers as he had a drive to succeed, and he wasn't fully thinking things through. He wanted gratification and satisfaction.

I asked if it had to do with sex or anything. I am not sure what those cards meant. I got the Hierophant (company card, but also getting cult like mentality) I am getting you get access to things that need to be hidden. I also got the high priestess, which is things hidden, the occult, things behind the scenes. Yo, this is weird, what does this mean.

I also got the Tower and the 10 of Cups, this gives me appearing like a happy safe family unit, but things are crumbling and chaotic behind the scenes. I also get they may turn these idols into zombies and condition them to think a certain way. It gives me cult like vibes.

I am seeing the KOC's again, in this deck the dude is naked and his junk is hanging out, so did he have to sleep with this person, did this person just reveal himself to him, or is this Jisung himself tapping into his emotions. I didn't get strong clarifiers, like for Mark, that this was a dude he slept with, so not sure. I do see him being done with things, wanting to move on and move away either from this person, or he wants to move on from the company in general and he is learning to follow his heart.

Okay, going to stop there, man they also gave me tea. It will be fun to see what WayV gives me, since NCT likes to bring the tea, but got to get to SVT and some other groups first.

Currently reading through the spiderpool blog and just finished the civil war era. That alternate timeline where Pete is an assassin, of course we know Ben is alive but what happens to that version Ben and May? I wonder if they know what he is doing and if they are still even apart of his life.

oh, anon. anon... it's a sad little tale,, it's a sad little story. i do imagine that this specific peter parker pursues his career of fame and fortune, and becomes vain and horrible. a real "talk to my agent!" kind of asshole.

and initially, he still cares for uncle ben and aunt may. they're the only two people in the world who loved him properly. but... but. fame goes to his head. the old cliché. he's making bank, and – there's less urgency for him to stay to support aunt may because uncle ben's still around, so, peter kind of goes his own way. very quickly he can afford his own apartment by doing tv deals and very quickly he's signed on for a movie deal. he is hot shit.

of course all of that fame and being so busy and being so secretive and spider-man's identity still being a secret to the public and to ben and may means that he ultimately grows distant from may and ben. he skips school to pursue fame, doesn't think he needs it. and i mean, the guy hates high school. it's a living hell for him. he's given an out - of course he'll take it. he doesn't graduate high school. doesn't get a college education. doesn't tell uncle ben and aunt may because obviously they wouldn't endorse him dropping out of school.

they wouldn't get it. they wouldn't understand. he becomes a mystery to them. they don't know where he goes, what's going on with him. he's barely home and then he, so very quietly, moves out with all the money he's made.

fame is fickle, though, and - spider-man doesn't capture peoples hearts for the long-term. spider-man doesn't inspire heroism in this world. he doesn't waste his effort on selfless deeds. he doesn't become a heroic figure. hence why wade doesn't join weapon x.

the spider-man of this turn of events doesn't amount to more than a quick cash-grab, and the people are over him so quickly. people who worked with him realise he's kind of a jerk, and isn't even pulling in money anymore. spider-man becomes a has-been before he even reaches his twenties.

so, this spider-man lives alone - can't face uncle ben and aunt may because he's quickly realising that yeah. he made the wrong choice. he dug his grave, and he has to lay in it. he's a drop-out, and he feels like peter parker is entirely worthless. he can barely look at himself in the mirror. at least as spider-man he has some power. some reputation. something. peter parker? peter parker disappeared off the face of the planet some years ago, and nobody knows who or where he is. peter parker is dead and neglected. there's no future for peter parker. so he builds a life with the skills that he has, as spider-man. he does what he's good at. becomes hired muscle. becomes hired muscle for anyone that can pay his rates. those are usually bad guys.

he falls deeper and deeper into that rabbit hole. and the further he falls, the harder it is for him to conceive he could ever come back to uncle ben and aunt may and have them welcome and accept him, with all the mistakes he's made.

unfortunately, in this particular timeline - as bex and i'd plotted it out for the alt!verse fic where wade winds up trapped with this sad, isolated peter parker - it still takes uncle ben dying to destroy peter's barricades and have him finally reach out to aunt may, in his way. first distantly offering her financial support before he, after months, eventually gains the courage to face her. and she can see the scars on his face.

i think it kind of universally takes uncle ben dying for peter to learn "great power great responsibility" - not as peter interprets or misinterprets it, but... the loss of uncle ben meaning peter recognising he has a responsibility to the people around him. he can't disappear from it. he can't isolate himself from it. when uncle ben passes, he finds out he has a responsibility to aunt may. that's kind of the whole thing, that's what great responsibility is. him filling uncle ben's shoes.

i think that's something i'm obsessed with - that peter knows that the loss of uncle ben means he needs to step up and fill ben's shoes, but he's still not entirely sure what it means. what he has to do to be able to fill that void that's left empty by ben's absence. what ben meant. what manhood means.

great responsibility is about manhood, and looking after the people you love. it's not - it's not about what you owe the world.

i think peter unfortunately has to learn that lesson the hard way, every time.

but, eventually, at some point, peter comes home.

deep analysis of a very obscure thing in lockwood and co (bc why not)

Omg ok (spoilers for episodes 2 and 3 of lockwood and co, and also the books)

So the song that plays when Lucy is holding the ring in episode 2, during the experiment, that she says is Annabel Ward and her lover’s song (“it’s their song”), is Peer Gynt Suite No. 2: Solveig’s Song. 

The version I listened to that made me go “oh okay this is the same song” (after playing it through my earphones in one ear and playing the episode in the other and desperately trying to get the timings to match up to see if there were differences in the singing) is by Edvard Grieg — Yvonne Kenny, The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra & Vladimir Kamirski. From what I could work out, the song starts in the episode from just before the singing starts. 

The story behind the song is as follows:

I did an initial analysis and stuff and then did further research, so I’ve rejigged the document I had before to make more sense here :D

Story of the whole play:

The title character, Peer Gynt, is based on a Norwegian folk hero who is a rogue and will be destroyed unless saved by the love of a woman. 

He is described as a lazy and arrogant peasant youth who leaves home to go in search of his fortune. He’s very confident that he’ll succeed, but he keeps having disasters on his journey. 

At one point, he goes to the wedding of a wealthy young woman (that he might have married), where he meets Solveig. She falls in love with him, so naturally his first thought is to abduct the bride from her own wedding and abandon Solveig. 

Then he has really cool and awesome adventures, going around the world and gaining wealth and fame from all his different exploits, but he is, at the middle of it all, deeply unhappy. Eventually, when he is old and disillusioned, he goes back to Norway, where Solveig awaits him, welcoming him home and redeeming him. 

Annabel and John Fairfax are sort of foils to Solveig and Peer respectively, in that they are what happens as a result of a different kind of abandonment (Annabel’s murder). 

Solveig is what Annabel would have been had she stayed alive and Fairfax had simply broken things off in a more traditional sense (i.e. if he hadn’t killed her), and while Peer is redeemed and saved by the love of a woman, Fairfax is destroyed by it, because he twisted the love into hate. 

Now for the parallels between Fairfax and Peer:

Peer is a peasant with little success in life -> in episode 3, as they get off the train, Lockwood notes how Fairfax “came from nothing”. 

Peer has a series of unfortunate disasters on his hunt for success -> Fairfax (in the books), before the Problem, spent his time drinking, gambling, and getting into show business, instead of going into the family business. In the show this does not seem to be the case, but it’s a nice parallel that includes the books!

Peer abandons Solveig to run off with the bride -> I interpreted this as Fairfax abandoning (murdering) Annabel for his own bride, which is his desire for success. In a way his bride is the Fairfax iron company, because he’s practically married to it. 

After the abduction, Peer has really successful and fantastical adventures, very different to the disasters that he had previously experienced before the kidnapping -> after Annabel, Lockwood again (Lucy says he has a hard-on for Fairfax which I think is hilarious) in episode 3 (just before talking about how Fairfax came form nothing) notes that Fairfax “succeeded in everything he’s tried. Publishing, show business - he didn’t even start smelting until he was in his thirties. Now look at him”. Fairfax by his own admission also worked in casinos, adding another job (or adventure) to his list. 

Peer gains wealth and fame -> Fairfax gains wealth and fame (just dropping in “miss Kingston got her hair done special” because I love it and it's vaguely related)

And this is where the similarities split off from one another:

Peer is deeply unhappy -> Fairfax seems to be perfectly fine with his situation. 

Peer comes back home old and disillusioned -> Fairfax in a way comes home, as he ends up back in Combe Carey Hall (although this is not where Annabel was killed, it is still one of his properties), and he is old, but he is not disillusioned. He says in episode 3 that he doesn’t regret buying the ring, he regrets “leaving it behind when I bricked her into that chimney” and that he “knew it was monstrous. But I couldn’t throw my whole life away for one mistake. Not then, not now.” He still isn’t willing to give up his life, because he is perfectly content where he is. 

The final parallel I want to note is between Annabel and Solveig. While one was murdered and the other neglected but still devoted and in love, both women wait for their old lover. In completely different ways, sure, because one is sitting at her spinning wheel hoping that he’ll come back and see that she’s the right one for him (cue “you belong with me”) and the other is bricked into a chimney as an angry Type Two ghost that kills people, but both are waiting. 

“She’s been wanting to see you for a very… long time, Mr Fairfax” Lucy says.

Annabel is devoted to Fairfax, and as she dances and sings along to the song, he abandons her (kills her). while waiting in that cavity in the wall, and her spirit is bound to the ring/necklace, she is waiting for him. 

We see in episode 3 that when Lucy lets Annabel out of the ring, throwing it in the air to set her ghost free, Annabel doesn't attack the agents, or even Ellie who is stood nearby. 

She goes straight for Fairfax, because she's been waiting for him. Her devotion to him may have changed into devotion for revenge over the years, but she was waiting for him nonetheless. In a way he did come back to her, even if it was unintentionally, and he ended up being greeted by her one last time. 

He is not saved by coming home and finding his version of Solveig, he is instead destroyed, because his version of Solveig was killed along with any love she might have had for him.

Hi, this post will come before the lore dump posts for Spring and Deuz. This is a quick analysis to their characters and a general explanation to the changes I made to them (and because I like to ramble for things like that xd)

- Spring

He's a homeless, illiterate *checks notes* 17 year old, who finds himself in the situation he lives in because of a series of unfortunate events (that he doesn't have control of). But, despite all of this he still fights for a better life for himself and the ones he cares for (that being Meg and Fox), either working as a way to sustain himself, teaching himself to read and write, or looking out for the other's two well being.

This makes his character a very self reliant, caring, and hardworking one, that he doesn't let circumstances define him, he is a compassionate and kind person, and some may take advantage of him for that, but he doesn't mind because of his inherent kindness.

So, what changed?

The first, most obvious, change was making him Golden's (Julian) older brother, as a way to reflect on Julian's storyline (and bc they kinda look alike idk), and I also made a 180 turn on his character so he's now a rich, gifted kid who runs away from home at 19 (and now is 21), again, to play a little bit with his character.

Though,even with all this I wanted to keep his kindness towards others (especially those who he sees like they need his help, like his brother), but in a more immature way, where he doesn't know how to properly express his feelings and the reasoning behind his actions; he's reckless, a little careless, and stupid. Again, some people may take advantage of his naivety, and recklessness. But he doesn't let his mistakes get to him, and every time he falls he gets up again,some might call this determination, though it's more like stubbornness from his part.

In general, the changes are more to his living condition, than to his character itself, for three reasons. Firstly: because I felt like he was getting a little too disconnected from other characters, so I tied him with Julian (and Joy) making them family. Secondly: because I don't like the "parents not in the picture" trope. And finally: because I think it would be a cool idea if Spring's character traits were something he HAD to build for himself, rather than just being part of him from the beginning.

- Deuz

Deuz is the leader of the nightmares, he basically built his group into what it is, they perform sometimes but also, they harass other teens on the street. Beyond that, their story is kind of up to interpretation

(just now I realized that in S2 they are finally seen in school (mind you, wearing school uniforms and actually going to classes) and one of them say it's because of a school program to "help the less fortunate" or smth like that (I think this is why spring also starts to go to school) but if they had just entered school, why were they in the camp with the other students??? Idk. I'm getting off topic)

His character (and the others nightmares too, but mainly him imo) is a VERY contradictory one. On one side, we have a guy who was tired of being taken advantage of and decides to rebel against others (mainly someone like his dad or smth as seen in the song), and helps other escape from their own bad situations, making a group where they all can truly rely on each other through thick and thin, and and making a space to support their individual growth as people (<- kinda making up this last part up BUT I'm pretty sure is Deuz the one who makes the other two behave when they are students). But on the other side, we have a character who enjoys to bully others who he sees smaller than him, and is used as some sort of "villain" if the story needs one. He's prone to violence and intimidating others, and he never seems ashamed or sorry about this behavior.

I'm not going to count the dissonance of his traits as a fault of his character, since this is an issue with any character that edoo has made to be an antagonist, but still, he is an antagonist and we have to acknowledge that he has made bad stuff™ (not even to "make him responsible" for them or whatever, he can be a bad person, as a treat)

(Fuck I almost forgot about another thing about him that makes me think a lot. His relationship with Meg (omg!!). It gets mentioned ONCE and never addressed again (not a weird thing to happen I know). But god, this song is the closest we've got to connecting both sides from his character. He loves Meg, he resents her for their breakup, though, he's still kind of civil about it bc he cares about her. Also, here it's the most vulnerable he has been shown. Idk. I think his character could be explored better from this story)

What changed?

To be honest, I didn't really change a lot of things that already were in his character for others, I just added some stuff here and there and made some adjustments to his story to fit with the other characters, and to play around with his story. I wanted to make the connection between that angry, rebel bully and the cool, confident leader. Kind of like with Spring, where he grows up to be the latter.

The most radical changes to him are that he has a family, and like, responsibilities with them that affect other parts of his life; and that the nightmares are a recent thing and not something he makes from his early years (he's still part of some gangs n stuff but all that's for later).

Again, the changes here are thought out to fit a certain evolution of his character, and to explore some stuff that was shown for his character but in a different context. The full thing I'm planning for him will be in a different post though :9

Dragons & Thieves (Saiouma fantasy AU)

seems like the kind of trouble our boy protagonist could find himself in, and then, he could seek out help from someone who's, you know, great at disguising his own magic and deceiving people

Okay, so I think Kokichi should have some dragon ancestry for it to work. His mother is half-dragon and from a noble family, his father is a regular human and a thief. His mother send him away asap to avoid a scandal and he grew up at the guild of thieves. After his dad didn't come back from one of the missions he was told to start earning his keep, probably at around 7–10 years old. The guild used his identity becoming apparent as his ability to use dragon magic manifested to blackmail the noble lady and get some funds, some of it actually was invested into teaching him useful spells. So when they meet he's a seasoned thief and magic user.

THE DRAGON THAT DIED IS KAEDE

I just thought of it, but like. She disguised herself as human and became friends with Shuichi, just wanted a peaceful life, is one human lifetime too much to ask for? Can't an old dragon get some normalcy? Apparently no, a hunter got her (Tsumugi?)

So Shuichi ends up with the magic and gets chased by the very same hunter, goes to hide in a very unassuming, plain looking building. It's the thieves hideout made to look like this with Kokichi's magic. And to any person who has less magic than Kokichi it would be the least attention grabbing background to other buildings in the area and then hardly noticeable to the few that can notice it, so damn. This guy is powerful and desperate. Striking up a deal with him sounds like a great idea, this is a job for the one and only, Kokichi Ouma

It quickly becomes obvious that Shuichi doesn't know how powerful he now is, didn't even know his friend was a dragon before the fated day (the chase either happens really fast or over the course of several months, I am leaning towards the latter because I want him to be over the initial shock and mourning + running out of places to turn to so he doesn't have better ideas than accepting Ouma's help)

So Kokichi has the opportunity of a lifetime to put a really powerful magic user in his debt and takes it. "Sure, I'll protect you and teach you to use dragon magic, you'll just owe me a favor"

Unfortunately for his devilish plan to employ Shuichi on the biggest heist yet, when the time to claim the favor comes he wants something else much more (kiss kiss fall in love, he has to ask him out instead or maybe, maybe "stay")

returntozero: I'm also curious to know if Kokichi thinks Shuichi also is part dragon/has some dragon lineage since this stuff is typically not shared with humans and there may also be a barrier to entry with humans just not taking well to draconic magic anyways.

that could be a funny misunderstanding, and technically he could interpret Shuichi's lack of knowledge on the topic as him being another orphan with even less fortunate circumstances, hmmm

and since he doesn't do well with sensitive topics like that he just leaves it be, and he doesn't ask him to reveal his dragon form when he still has to be in hiding, because no matter how curious he is that's a risk he knows not to take

so he'd learn really late if he didn't know from the get-go, I mean late like at the very end, when it's already safe and he asked Shuichi to stay with him and they can relax so he asks him to go flying together

"But I don't have wings??" "You what?" the end

Hellooo every nyan (soz lol) I’m here offering a nice long rant about 2.5 (I’ll get to the 0.5) ads that have not left my mind and quite frankly left me feeling so much emotion. Normally my rants are about Life with Althaar and I’ve left many paragraphs on other social medias so if you need a crazy person talk about that show I’m more than happy to deliver.

Of course a fair spoiler warning although I won’t talk about what happens I can never guarantee what I end up writing and no I do not check over it. I’ll add the descriptions of each of the dramas as they come so you can stop reading that and listen and come back if it peaks your interest:))

The Phone Booth (season 1): 15 years ago, a girl named Beca Orlofsky stepped into the sky and exploded. Over the course of the following week, 99% of every living human on the planet gained a super-power. Now, podcaster Joe Pollard travels the world, interviewing people who went to sleep ordinary and woke up as something else.

I found a wormhole: Her back is against the wall. Money is running short. Options are few. Fortunately, she's just made the discovery of a lifetime - a wormhole, tucked inside the abandoned restroom in the forest. The origin - unknown. The destination unknown. But the possibilities are endless. If only she can find out what's on the other side.

POTENTIAL SPOILERS INCOMING

All three of these dramas I honestly stumbled upon. Either the artwork was STUNNING (Gospels of the flood) the small about section caught my attention and I downloaded an episode (The Phone Booth) or simply it was something that my nerdy self was or is obsessed over. Now from the get go if you were looking for happy endings you’re not getting them heck even sad endings isn’t the right term. I was just left distraught or even in a bit of a questing things. Let me tell you one thing and that is yes I am easily impressed however it’s because I understand just how much work and effort and love these creators have put into their projects and when they all have good storytelling and music plus acting I’m blown away. Now definitely the first two are the ones that left the biggest impression on me and unfortunately the 0.5 has gone to I found a Wormhole. This is purely based on how often I think about these audio dramas in my head. Im realising I’m waffling on so I’ll try stopping (no promises T^T) Like a lot of people I had a fairly strict but they acted like it wasn’t strict religious upbringing. For life reasons I didn’t turn out to be religious (sue me) but the main conflict in Gospels of the Flood very much resonated with me because although I am NO PRIEST (can you imagine lol) I have been in that position and I still am. Through the storytelling it almost felt like I was there with the priest to find an answer from his brothers. Of course as the story progressed I was just left with more questions than anything. The sfx and the music combining together intertwined with the story in a way that I felt the world was actually really dying. As the story progressed i thought that maybe he will find his faith or maybe he will realise that his life’s work has been for a lack of a better phrase nothing. But no I was left with one of those you interpret your own endings and oh boy it left me in shock. I had to physically stop what I was doing to stop and take a minute. Now I could well be trying to make my own haystack with a needle and it could be a simple answer but I felt what I felt and that left an impression that I could not forget. It’s been months maybe a year that I’ve come across gospels of the flood and it’s still on my mind a lot more than it should be.

Now the Phone Booth. Oh god okay, I went into this thinking oh it’s about superheroes and people getting powers it can’t be that bad… I shed a few tears in the cafe I was in and I’ve in their words ‘ruined my partners evening by telling them about this’ they are joking of course but it really does take that turn. It starts off nice? I don’t think that’s the right word but somewhat positive with a subtle hint of negativity hiding behind the shadows but as the episodes progress there’s more and more heartbreak or loss of a loved one even violence. In a world where things like that are normalised I hate to admit those weren’t the things that got to me. It was the episodes after those where the last two interviews you start to question yourself? Or well I did. Safe to say my distraught-ness came from the fact that a 14 year old was not able to hope anymore and they didn’t want a future where he lost the ability to do so. Thats something that I found to be in common in all three of the audio dramas. Hope. I found a wormhole really does start off lighthearted until the end (of course because who needs a break) where drastic measures are taken for survival. Again a lot of the story progresses on the hopes of things working out. On the hopes of finding an answer.

For someone who has been on survival mode and relying on Hope I think, no I know it’s what made me enjoy these audio dramas as much as I have. All these have been listened to very very far apart thankfully haha but they all left their impressions in forms of questions I may ask myself or pretty much anyone. As you can tell I love a good philosophical touch to my audio dramas. Apparently making me question my own morality is what does it. Anywayyyy if you have read it this far honestly a HUGE congratulations I owe you food :pp If you happen to be one of the talented creator and you have seen this craziness please know I am definitely a functioning member in society I just overthink a lot but all jokes aside thank you for making something that has made me write this essay when I really should be sleeping <3

“Just stop talking, you silly”

Her head was gently resting on his chest. He wrapped his right hand around her neck and some of her back, next to her shoulders. It was soft. It was light.

Mike was the first to wake up and, the moment he realized he was hugging her, he restrained himself. “Oh my– “ he thought, as he blushed a little and tried to recompose himself. Vanessa was still sleeping, as anyone at 6 am of a Sunday would be or, at least, anyone whose sleeping habits weren’t heavily affected by the memories of your little brother being kidnapped.

They had fallen asleep while watching a corny comedy show the night before. Of course, the blanket-sharing sleepover wasn’t planned; they were just friends, that is, if taking care of someone you’ve known for 2 weeks in your own house could be qualified as such.

The early sunset orange reflected in Vanessa’s blond hair as if God had painted it just to match her strands. Mike couldn’t help but admire it for solid 3 seconds while he tried to put a pillow under her head and, at the same time, not to wake her up so she wouldn’t notice the position they were in. What would she think?

Thankfully, Abby’s bedtime is around 9 pm, and their comedy night had only started after 11 pm, when she was already dreaming about being a princess or whatever kids her age dream about. And, also fortunately, children aren’t very fond of arousing as soon as the day starts. They were alone, at least for some time.

Unfortunately, Mike wasn’t very successful at his task, and ended up waking the former officer up. “Hmmm…” — Vanessa murmurs as she slowly scrubs her eyes, barely awake. As soon as she processes what happened, she gets up and recomposes herself as if her head — and body — were never there.

Mike sees that she basically had the same reaction as him. “Hey, it’s okay” he says as he gently smiles as if he were saying “you can do this whenever you want to”, but Vanessa is too flushed to even look at him. “I don’t even remember falling asleep, I guess these pills I’m taking weren’t lying about the sleepy symptoms, sorry” she tries to explain herself, although she is still kind of flushed for using him as a headrest.

“Don’t worry. It’s still early in the morning, you can keep on sleeping… o-on the bed by the way if you want to” he middle-phrase realizes the possible double interpretation what he just said could have as she raise a little of her left eyebrow and laughs at him. “I mean there’s no problem if you don’t wan’t to go there I’m just saying because of the comfort but—“ he is surprised with Vanessa resting her face on his chest again and hugging him tighter. He paralyzes for 1 second and, as his cheeks go completely red, his lips are touched by white, soft hands, in a “shhh” way. “Just stop talking, you silly.”

I once saw a Reddit post saying that Mick loves Keith a lot more than Keith loves Mick. Would you agree with this statement, think it's the other way around, or is there a lot more nuance to it?

Well, Mick certainly has a unique way of demonstrating it, doesn't he? It's so hard to talk about whether Mick loves someone or not because his actions don't match what people expect from love. I talked a little about this here. I think there were few times in Mick's life when he put other people's feelings above his own for altruistic reasons — if ever. I think in some ways Mick was not only competing with other bands or other celebrities, but he was also competing with Keith, even if Keith didn't realize it or wasn't interested in it.

“Mick and I never hit it off,” Anita Pallenberg told me. “He’d always put me down, make snide remarks about me, criticize the way I dressed. You know why? Because it was plain to see that he was in love with Keith. In many ways Keith was the man Mick wanted to be. Free and easy in his own skin, not uptight like Mick.

Tough when he had to be, never backed down, had a good time, really enjoyed drinking, drugs and carousing, enjoyed sex — Mick wasn’t into any of those things and he envied Keith and was jealous of me.”

Look, anyone can interpret it any way they want and I don't care. My interpretation is that: Anita, in other words, meant that Keith was the man Mick longed to be, who he wanted to be, and that Mick was in love with the idea of being Keith. Nonetheless, Mick is too clear-headed and too centered to allow himself to act like Keith. The Stones wouldn't have survived so many decades if Mick had sat around and stuck himself with needles like Keith. The Stones' success is not only due to the talent of everyone involved but also to Mick's business acumen. That's also his credit.

I think deep down, in his view, Mick never understood why people liked Keith more or were more fascinated with Keith. So I feel like he tried to compete with Keith by asking Marsha Hunt to have his baby around the same time Anita had Marlon and probably getting pissed when it wasn't a boy, marrying with a woman who was supposedly well-connected and stylish like Anita, etc.

I think Keith is a sensitive and loyal person who, unfortunately or fortunately, depending on what you think, doesn't immediately cut people out of his life even if they do him harm. Mick didn't actually abandon him or kick him out of the band at his lowest point and he seems grateful for that — A fact that I'm sure some have questioned whether it was just out of the goodness of his heart or because he knew there might be no more Stones without Keith Richards. I think Keith is grateful for that and has feelings of friendship and brotherhood about Mick even after everything.

Richards admitted later, "I have to say that during the drug bust in Toronto — in fact, during all busts — Mick looked after me with great sweetness, never complaining. He ran things; he did the work and marshaled the forces that saved me. Mick looked after me like a brother."

Esmund - Joel Edgerton as Lord Bertilak in the Green Knight OR Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman. I lean more towards Joel Edgerton because in my personal headcannon Esmund is the only true human and therefore ages like a person but either work

For Kul'Zak I had some issues because we know nothing about him but it does mean it is fully up to my interpretation! I do have 3 options for him

Kul'Zak - Ode Dev Patel as Gawain in the Green Knight OR Tenoch Huerta as Namor in Black Panther. Soley based on if they would look hot as a mermaid.

ALSO IF YOU WANT TO GO ALL POC ROUTE FOR THE DIVINE WARRIORS OR IMPLEMENT YOUR OWN MIGHT I SUGGEST ODED FEHR AS ARDETH BAY IN THE MUMMY AS A SUGGESTION FOR ENKI OR ANY OTHER CASTING OPPORTUNITY! He was my second choice for Enki and my third for Kul'Zak.

what are some inspirations for your artwork?

In general

Overall, Stanley parable and The beginner’s guide are the biggest inspirations for me. I incorporated their elements into every single one of my works both visual wise and story wise but the visuals part might be a bit hard to see as they are overpowered by the other inspirations.

Monrah: the construction gear

Character designs: The early draft of the main automata designs was inspired by Drawn and Puppet show series, hence their gothic stream-punk undertone. In their current design, I took extra inspirations from Atomic heart, adding atomic-punk element then modernized the design.

Art direction: Rethink series and Q.U.B.E. 2 are my introduction to Solarpunk aesthetic, the stylish modern scenery decorated with plant look so luxurious and calming yet also very curious and somehow unsettling.

Story: The first Cube movie had always stuck with me, a story about a group of people stuck inside a cube full of trap that can only be identified using mathematics. One of these people use to work with a company associate with this cube but even him had no idea what on earth is going on.

Aeromarine and the horizon

Character designs: For this one, I based the angel designs on runway configurations and decorate them in military ceremonial uniforms I found on Google.

Airac, L-da => Parallel runway

Cardio, Semaphore => Single runway

Qeybec, Kiosk => Open V runway

Navtex, Ifalpa => Intersecting runway

Art direction: The digital watercolor art style I see on the internet, unfortunately I can’t quite pinpoint which artist since I randomly search watercolor artstyle on Google. But the first art of digital watercolor style color that makes me want to apply it to my work is probably the trailer of a gacha game name Mementos Mori on YouTube.

Viator Theory

Character designs: Initially the wizards were meant to be magical boys but I scrapped the idea. Still, I draw inspiration from many magical girl animes for their designs.

Polnoch => Sugar sugar rune, hence his witch theme appearance.

Morgen => Princess tutu, hence his white and pink color palette.

Soir => Cardcaptor Sakura, specifically the dress in the first opening of the original series.

Orden => Saint tail, but I don’t know why he retain nothing from her designs.

Mint => Precure, specifically Cure white and Cure egret.

Rito => Tokyo new mew, hence his strawberry and animal motif.

Art direction: The way Jazz Punk use their funky sharp color is a lot of fun and full of personality, and since my wizard are pretty funky themselves. I thought I’d be fitting to apply that to Viator theory.

Story: Tales of phantasia is a product of its time when it comes to writing, I have a lot of personal interpretation on Cress that I ended up applying on Viator theory.

The game introduces Cress to us as a loving hero, the vanilla protagonist who just lost his parents. But every once in a while, he snap and said cruel things. Cress doesn’t let himself grieve so he’s stuck in the anger phase. This lead to him taking action guided by rage, chasing the man who kill his parents through every single timelines then in the end where we actually get to know the man Cress had been hunting down, we find out that Cress is (kinda) the true villain of the story.

Paralogram

Character designs: Noah and Eden start off as ocs for Antichamber and Manifold garden crossover fanfiction. I ended up liking the designs so much I made my own world for them.

Art direction: Also Antichamber and Manifold garden, Manifold garden was also inspired by Antichamber so their art directions are very similar. A clean and sharp edge scenery that constantly play trick on the eyes.

Story: ‘Which’, it’s a short game about solving puzzles while a headless and heartless mannequin stalks or accompanied you depending on your interpretation. At the end of the game you either find her heart or her head and the mannequin will make the final decision whether you’ll live or die.

C2ISTAR

Character designs: Squirrel and Hedgehog and its fandom specifically; Sahbeetle, Stukka and SG. There are many talented artists in the fandom and C2ISTAR start off as SaH OCs but I find the cannon world building to be a bit too restrictive so I ended up making my own settings.

Art direction: Command and conquer: Red alert, I love the cool and professional look of the game.

Story: I base each character on people that I know in real life and plotted the story base on my personal work experience in civil aviation. I exaggerated it using all kind of military actions film as an inspiration mainly MacGyver, a series about a spy who refused to use gun and instead use science and engineering to fend off the bad guy.

Light Effects

Character designs: The main trio designs are heavily inspired by Fire emblem series, they were originally planned to be the gods that appeared in Aeromarine and the Horizon so I incorporate iconic Christian figures into their designs.

Raynor => Alm + Nurse Nitingale

Lennard => Leif + Jean de arc

Arland => Roy + Mother Mary

But I got intrigued with fan interpretation on these characters so I changed the idea into a fan fiction but realized I made too much change to these characters so I revise them into my OCs.

Art direction: I adore the excessive use of intricate metal decorations in Dream chronicle series and since Light effects trio are already cladded in armor, I thought I might as well take the opportunity and tried it out.

Story: Cry of fear inspired me the idea of character coping with their health condition and Fear and Hunger’s penance armor give me the idea for the needle. Light effects story were originally very gritty like both of its inspiration but I’m not good enough of a writer to handle that level of narrative yet so it ended up being so dark that it desensitized every sad scene and make all the suffering in the story meaningless.

Thus I took additional inspiration from True love next door to balance it out and aiming for more of tragicomedy tone.

Binary Stella (in very early and slow development state)

Character designs: Puyo Puyo series, after being fooled by its cutesy artstyle and cheery soundtrack although Schezo’s dialogue concerns me. I dig into some of characters story specifically Lemres followed by Schezo and now I can never look at this series the same way ever again-

Regardless their characters design are so cute that I took Polnoch and Morgen’s scarp first draft and redesigned them with Lemres and Klug as an inspiration.

Art direction: I’ve always want to try the first two Phantasmat games style of shading where they strictly limited the color palette for light and shadow to create coherency in starkingly different environments so I immediately try it on Northlight and Southstar.

Story: Also Puyo puyo series, the amount of insanity hidden in their story is too much to not take inspiration from it-

Looks like everythin’s smooth sailin’ here, but we had some trouble at the very last minute.

Nazuna: Ahh, so AKATSUKI’s going through some trouble too, huh~… Surprisingly, I think everything will work out somehow on my end.

Anyways. I had the incentive given I was worryin’ over all sorts of things, so I figured to might as well see Valkyrie’s performance since I was invited.

This is the project they submitted to that Funeral Contest, right?

A livin’ funeral… While at first glance it looks like an ordinary opera, it seems strangely cheery for a funeral, ain’t it?

Well, that gramps does like things to be cheery.

Nazuna: I don’t really get it either, but… This was chosen as the best entry in the Funeral Contest by Itsuki’s grandpa himself for his living funeral.

Even if I don’t understand the logic behind it, it was chosen as the “right answer”, wasn’t it?

Raffaello: “Fufu. As you can see, due to my youthful indiscretion, I smoked too much and developed cancer in my throat, so I’ve got a hole in my throat.”

“I can no longer speak normally, so excuse me for using a synthesized voice like this.”

“This is a body that should remain resting at a hospital, to begin with.”

“But I wanted to see my grandson perform at whatever cost, so I was allowed to go out temporarily after raising a fuss and threatening to sue the hospital and get it shut down if I couldn’t watch it.”

Tarot// The Hermit at the Mental Gym

A quick Google search of how to become happier or improve mental health will often list “Time with friends” as a solution. For a shy person, this advice may not be sound. We are at the ninth card in the Major Arcana. Loneliness and shyness are not the primary issues this far in the hero's journey. More research is needed to get to the next card, The Wheel of Fortune. The next step towards release and growth is different for each person; to find our own unique solution, time alone and in study is needed.

A seeker may have to combine a variety of spiritual modalities or have a meditation and exercise practice that makes them both happy and emotionally available for others. A business owner may need to go against market trends after reviewing the sales data specific to their customers. They know that their research and approach must be homegrown. When a child is meant to perform for their parents academically and socially, she may look back on a life of empty achievements and repressed feelings. Pressure in family family begins so early and is so relentless, that many teens and young adults just need a break. If the adherence to family traditions and unspoken rules continues well into adulthood, we see family cut-offs and quiet quitting. The same is true for go-go-go social careers like sales, modeling, or acting. When the Hermit is alone it may feel like the first time they can think for themselves.

Breaks in the day are less likely today. Mental health content creators seem to be begging others to sit with themselves and put down their phones. The irony of this is unavoidable.

The brain is an organ. This organ produces thoughts the way other organs secret hormones and fluids. A liver exhausted from processing alcohol, cannot break down toxins in food and medication. If a person is overindulgent, the toxins remain leaving a mark on appearance and health and even stressing other organs, triaging important maintenance. Similarly, when a person is flooded with toxic thoughts and experiences, the thinking organ becomes a coping organ. This coping may include fantasy, addiction, workaholicism, exhibitionism, bullying, or deading with sleep and drugs, These all can be interpretations of The Hermit card when drawn in reverse. Upright this card is about enjoying moments of peace and contemplation without being forced into exile.

Mental health and spirituality require a quality of time that resembles the happiness and wisdom we seek. When the profit goes up on the mountain to be alone, they remain their old selves on the ascent. Only at the pinnacle of their pilgrimage can the truth thinking become integrated into the personality. We have to become a person who practices mindfulness or take long hikes for many years before achieving sen status. This person is the Hermit. A life filled with odd habits and denied social engagement may seem cringe-y. This impulse away from the self is the real cringe. Life will allow bring us moments when we must work alone. Ironically. the ability to do this is crucial to fame and fortune. Think of Kobe Bryant practicing alone in a gym. Odd and compulsive to some, it was the only physical path to his greatness and he took it. The Hermit is happy without being satisfied and at rest during hours at the gym.

Hey!! No pressure but I would love to hear about the takarazuka musical threequel!

I'm glad you asked about this one, because when I was skimming through my old wips I came across this line that completely knocked me out:

“Dude,” Larry whispered, reverently. “You’re telling me you scored a MILF?”

takarazuka musical threequel is currently a bunch of disjointed ideas I have about what would happen after the events of all the AA takarazuka musicals (which at the time I wrote this was only up to musical 3). Created June 2021 and last updated November 2021 but I think it's very funny so if my brain goes down that rabbithole again I want to keep working on it. It is also specifically based on my own interpretation of the musicals which is not at all how I was supposed to interpret the musicals. And since it's based on the musicals everyone is out of character compared to the games.

The story focused on Phoenix, Lucia (the almost-love interest from musical 2 for those who don't remember), and Edgeworth. Phoenix is refusing to move on from Leona and it's deeply damaging his personal relationships - since he has the attitude he has towards Maya in the musicals, Maya gets fed up with it and leaves and goes to live with Franziska, the only person who kinda gave a shit about her in musical 2, in New York running a fortune-telling business out of Franziska's apartment. She's out of most of the fic and is saved from the musical's characterizations.

Lucia's ex-fiancee Roland gets out of jail after a very short sentence (??? extenuating circumstances I don't think I fully figured that bit out) and, following Phoenix's advice, tries to get back together with him but she's struggling with it. I think she and Phoenix were supposed to hook up at some point? But eventually she realizes there's something Seriously Wrong With Him. And she runs away to another city or something to restart her life away from both Roland and Phoenix.

Edgeworth gets caught up by an international time-travel investigation organization (which Lang is an agent of because I felt like dragging him into this shitshow) which leads him to reunite with his love interest from musical 3, Emilia, who is muuuch older now because time travel and has kids (but for whatever reason is not currently in a relationship). They try to have a relationship but Emilia's kids are understandably weirded out by this. They eventually break up, Edgeworth questions his sexuality, tries to confess to Phoenix, but at some point realizes that he actually murdered his father and has a crisis about that. I don't think I decided if he actually did or if MvK just got away with it... oh well.

It ends with Phoenix having a breakdown at the ocean about Leona. Unfortunately I have not written very much. Under the cut (since it's a bit long for a tumblr post) is one of the scenes I did write where Maya leaves Phoenix:

“Oh, Nick! You’re back early…”

“Hi, Maya.” He took in all the bags again, and a feeling of dread rose through him. “It’s not another vacation, is it…? I swear I didn’t agree to anything --”

“No, Nick.” Maya dropped the bags to the floor and her face took on an unusually serious look. “I’m moving back to New York.”

“What?” Maya picked up the bags again and moved them to be with her other stuff. (Had she always had this much stuff?) “Why back to New York? I told you I wanted to stay in California…”

“I know.” Maya spun around, tears welling in her eyes. “I was talking to Franzy. I mean, Prosecutor von Karma. And I realized some stuff. And I want to go back to New York. She’s going to pick me up in fifteen minutes. I…” She wiped her tears on her sleeve and pulled a letter from the pocket of her weird robes. “I’m sorry. I just wrote it down here for you.”

Phoenix took the letter from her and opened it. It was weirdly long for something Maya wrote. He didn’t think she could keep her focus long enough to write something like this. “What’s this really about, Maya?”

“I-I wrote it all in the letter!”

“I know, I know, I’ll read it later.” He didn’t plan to. “When are you coming back?”

“I’m not coming back, Nick!” She pouted and stomped her foot. Oh no. He hoped she wouldn’t throw a fit. “This is why I’m leaving! You’re always like this! You never take me seriously!”

Phoenix sighed and gestured to her robes. With that getup, how could I? “What brought all this on, all of a sudden? You said you were talking to Prosecutor von Karma? She told you to do all this?”

“No, I decided that for myself.” Maya crossed her arms. “I didn’t want to move to California. I’ve been in New York all my life. But I came here because I wanted to continue to work for you, Nick. I mean, you remember how we met, right?”

… He couldn’t remember. “Yeah, for sure.”

“I didn’t know what to do with my life otherwise. I mean, I left the spirit medium trade for a reason. And -- see, you’re making that face again!”

“What face?”

“The ‘oh, Maya’s going on about spirit channeling again’ face!” More tears rolled down Maya’s cheeks. “You never take me seriously! And it’s not just about this. You never explain what’s going on in crime scenes or at the trials.”

“Because I don’t have the time to explain it to you, Maya…”

“Every time I suggest we do something fun like go to the beach, you go off doing something else…”

“Again, I’m too busy for that, Maya…”

“Every time I make you lunch or coffee you don’t care. Even when I was kidnapped! You totally forgot about me, didn’t you? Franzy was the one who had to come and save me! Even after she’d been shot!” 

“I didn’t forget,” Phoenix lied, because he hadn’t. Well, except for most of the trial. But a lot had been going on then, in his defense, like helping Lucia.

“I don’t want to spend the rest of my life as -- as a comic relief sidekick!” Maya shouted. “I had dreams and ambitions too, Nick! I gave them up to be your legal assistant! But ever since that trial back in New York, you’ve been so strange. And I started realizing that I’m really not helping you out, am I?”

“You help out lots, Maya,” Phoenix tried to assure her. These sorts of outbursts were quite unlike her. “Your smile has encouraged me many times.”

“That’s it? That’s all you can say?”

“Your quips in court can be entertaining, too.”

For some reason, this didn’t seem to make Maya feel better. “Well, I’m sure you’ll be fine without them,” she sniffed. “You’ll have to be. Because I -- I’m really leaving!”

Phoenix sighed. He could tell he wasn’t going to win this one. Women can be so stubborn. “Alright, Maya. Just let me know when you’re coming back.”

“You don’t believe me?”

“No. I do believe in you.” Phoenix smiled and spread his arms out. “After all, you’ve always been my legal assistant. Even if you stray from that path, I’m sure you’ll come back. I believe in the Maya I’ve known all this time. I’m sure she won’t change, I just know it.”
