Sunday shoutout to my youngest son! Quorra steals the stage sometimes. But I’ve gotta give credit to my son, David, for his handling skills and incredible training discipline. He’s an intense kid, in ANY sport he’s in. He’s also incredibly kind hearted to animals, and he handles P.D.S. K9 “Zach” and also owns a bearded dragon named “Mushu”. David and Zach earned their F.O. in WDA last year, and honestly made it look like a cake walk. Big thanks to my friends @theworkingpup for always putting on the smoothest trials and making it a great atmosphere for my kids to get their experience at. My WCW today is dedicated to my daughter, a miniature woman. Her hard work ethic and talent is matched only by her love and devotion to “her” animals. She has a cat (Quilla), veiled chameleon (Spock), a ball python (Rowena), and of course her German Shepherd (Zosyn), whom she appropriated from her mother @emareebare Quorra handles Zosyn in WDA (Working Dogs of America) and competes against adult competitors for various working dog titles. She also plays soccer and basketball on YMCA teams. On top of being an athlete, she’s an honor student who is a complete teachers pet. Such a busy lady! Quorra earned another Police Dog 1 title this past weekend through Working Dogs of America. It was the Eastern Regional Trial hosted by our friends at @theworkingpup_dogtraining here in our home state of Kentucky. She earned a 90 in the Obedience phase. And then the next day a 93 in the Protection phase. I am incredibly proud of how hard my daughter has worked to get here. The Regional Trial has two judges on the field at all times, and the points are averaged out between the two. So, those are fantastic scores for ANYONE, but definitely for a 7 year on her first year into K9 sports. She’s busted her butt, and gained calloused hands this year, but it’s paid off! I’d like to thank all the judges we’ve competed under this year. I’d like to thank my training partner and friends at @theworkingpup_dogtraining for always providing an accommodating and thoughtful and positive environment for me as both a parent and competitor and decoy. My Dad @davidharrispds for his support and knowledge, and also the fantastic breeding strategy that gave his granddaughter, Quorra, the opportunity to have a unique creature like “Zosyn” to compete with and live day to day life with. Thank you to all the decoys that have helped us along the way. Thank you to the endless supporters that have assisted us in our endeavors.
