Pitchshifter + Workhorse Movement + Sona Fariq. Wulfrun Hall, Wolverhampton, 2000. This was the first of the three times I have seen Pitchshifter. Their music is visionary: politically conscious, heavy, and genre-busting with sampling contributing to their industrial sound (on one of their albums they included MP3 files of samples with a free licence to use). Even their British voices were refreshing for me among the nu metal milieu of the turn of the century.
