THE 1ST CHAPTER IS OUT!

After 2 years, it's finally out!

We'll be releasing chapters every Saturday at 7pm with a little summary like this.

It was no surprise that Ed and MC have their own take on "The Special Relationship"!

We have been getting a lot of questions if we have one for Android, and our programmers were able to make one!

THE VOTES ARE IN...

The majority of you wanted us to have a Discord to talk about DS. We apologize if it is bare-bones. We're learning how to use it before The Captain goes into an old lady rant about how message boards from her high school years need to make a comeback. Just follow the simple rules and enjoy talking to each other.

BEFORE WE RELEASE THE GAME

The Captain wants to know if our fans want to continue interacting with us and others. She wants people to start discussions, and request video chats where you can ask us questions about the sequel, have discussions on chapters, DS, PB, yada, yada, yada.

The Captain doesn't want to make a discord if no one will use it.

Message us if you want to be a moderator, and be in charge of improving the layout of the server and how it works. We don't find Discord to be user friendly.

We apologize if The Captain is asking too much. She is feeling really emotional on this tragic day.

TDSP (BELATED) WEEKEND UPDATE

The Captain was recently hospitalized, so everything was a little off balance. Despite all of that, we were able to do the final testings of the game, and have a huge announcement.

THE GAME IS DONE.

So, when does it come out? The Captain is making a graphic that will be released sometime this week. She will be meeting with The First Mate tomorrow to discuss everything, since they spent 2 meetings talking about her hospitalization.

TDSP WEEKEND UPDATE

Another short update. We had personal matters to wrap up. All in all (is all we are), the sequel will be released before September 1st, without a doubt.

The Captain & The First Mate had their weekly meeting to discuss not just about TDSP, but Romance Club as well. The Captain is now hooked on Theodora, especially since she loves WW1.

As for the project, they discussed what to do with the Tumblr and YouTube after the game is fully released.

TDSP WEEKEND UPDATE

As stated in a previous update, there may be no updates since so much has been done already. That's why we didn't post an update last week. Now we have a reason to.

We have gotten a new programmer to help out with the final 3 chapters. We also have a loyal crew member that may be able to get the time to see if she can make sense of the programming, so she can assist as well.

Because of this, The Captain & The First Mate have been spending the week getting a programmer, and then getting them settled into where everything is and what needs to be done.

We are doing everything we can to make sure we meet that September 1st due date.

TDSP WEEKEND UPDATE

We're getting closer and closer to completing the sequel. Because of this, we're now in crunch mode. Here is what has been done.

Writing

-All chapters for all routes are done. -The endings for chapter 10 for all routes has been HEAVILY edited for no plot holes.

Basic Scripting

-Basic scripting for all routes are done.

Programming

-Chapter 7 is fixed. -Chapter 8 is in progress.

Walkthroughs

-All walkthrough pdfs are done, organized, and backed up.

As you can see from our pinned post, we added a walkthrough link. These are where the PDFs for each chapter for each LI route can be found and downloaded. When the game is released each week, new chapters will be posted as soon as possible. They will also be available for you to download. As for now, only chapter 1 is posted since the choices from our demo haven't changed. If there are any mistakes in the walkthroughs, please let us know!

The Captain & The First Mate spoke about the podcast. They set a date to record tomorrow, and it will be up on our Youtube channel sometime this week. It will consist of a third of answering your questions, a third of talking about the sequel, and a third of complaining about PB.

TDSP WEEKEND UPDATE

According to our programmer, good progress has been put in for the past 2 weeks. Here is what is going on.

Chapter 10 is being worked on.

Let's break it down:

Ollie's script should be done, for the most part.

Charlie's scenes are being worked on.

After Charlie and Ed's exclusive content is done, the programmer will check through chapters 8-10 to make sure the right backgrounds, music, yada, yada, yada are in.

What needs to be done:

A negotiation and understanding with the programmers on a weekly release date and time, and an overview of a spreadsheet where players report bugs.

All in all (is all we are), we have an equal amount of tasks that need to be done on both chapter 10 and the final details about the game. Then, the whole damn book will be done.

TDSP WEEKEND UPDATE

The Captain has COVID, so she has been a bit MIA this week for the crew. Thankfully, the new programmer got back to her in time.

-Chapter 8 is mostly done. Only an LI-specific scene at the end isn't finished.

-Chapter 9 is being worked on as well. Dialogue that's shared between each LI's script is in. Charlie's exclusive scenes are ready, and Ed's route was started on.

All in all (is all we are), the programmer says the sequel will be done before September 1st. Once The Captain recovers, she will speak to the First Mate and programmer on a release date.

TDSP WEEKEND UPDATE

PROGRAMMER APPLICATION

The Captain has a huge technological crisis that she is trying to get help on. Along with 13 years of her professional life's work, the graphic design and video work for TDSP have been lost.

Luckily, our script is still in Google Drive, and had backups on the walkthrough PDFs. While she waits for help to get the rest of her design work back, she is working on chapter 10 and more of the walkthroughs. 98% of walkthroughs are done AND backed up.

The "diamond" scene that Magdalena offers MC to see is completed. The Captain based it on the feeling she and others had when she saw 9/11 happen live on TV. Since there are no airplanes and skyscrapers in the 18th century, it was a bit of a challenge to come up with. This will be discussed further after chapter 10 is released. All The Captain will say is that The New Admiral is more evil than his brother. The Magdalena's vision scene is being followed by a collectible scene that was written months ago.

Another thing that The Captain & The First Mate are doing is rounding up the crew for a meeting in January. They need to see who has gotten what done, and when a release date is plausible.

2024 is our release year, and there are no exceptions.

TDSP WEEKEND UPDATE

The Captain & The First Mate have decided that since these updates about the project may not contain much new info about it, there may not be an update every weekend. However, we do want to discuss 2 things that may involve DS.

And that is about PB being part of Series Entertainment and the start of Candlelight Games.

Series Entertainment uses AI to make their games, and we find that to be immoral and creepy. You all have seen the most recent PB covers, and they're not accurate. They were so much better when a person was creating them, and not Skynet. Adobe has been pushing The Captain and its other customers into using AI, and they all agree. AI is not a "tool" that Adobe influencers say to use. It's absolute shit.

Bottom line: PB is using absolute shit while claiming it's a tool.

Now, onto Candlelight Games.

Candlelight Games is a company started by ex-PB employees. Many of them were involved in the books that were not getting a sequel as stated by the infamous January 2021 announcement, including the lead writer for DS. Candlelight Games says they value listening to their players.

This gives us a chance to ask for a DS sequel. However, it still may not happen due to DS being owned by PB, but it doesn't hurt to tell them that we still want a DS sequel.
