The thing about yunze that makes me so bonkers insane is that it literally IS about love. It's about a righteous sacrifice being broken not by a human’s appeal to decency but a demon loving far more honestly and earnestly than that human could ever refute and him having to ask himself what kind of moral high ground he could possibly possess when the embodiment of evil is looking up at him holding the woman she loves in her arms with not even anger in her eyes just a silent prayer of mercy for the only thing that matters to her in this world.
