Test fit. To just make sure the helmet doesn’t hit the neck of my breastplate. It doesn’t unless my head is tilt d and turned. It otherwise clears it naturally and comfortably. GOOD TO KNOW. Also tested the weight of the cape. It feels great and doesn’t pull back on the armor at all. I’m SO HAPPY the cape covers all the details on my breastplate. And that my wig covers all the details of my cape. Not sure what makeup to do with this due to, you know, having a giant helmet drawing all the attention away from my hideous face. I was gonna do false eyelashes and probably a black and red smokey eye if I can manage. I could do a red lip. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? I don't do make up. I don't know these things. I'll have a -natural shade- red wig on. If that helps any? You can actually see my whole face, it's not hidden. My Madam Magneto cosplay I debuted at @buffalocomicon today. I worked with the @yayahan body pattern by @cosplaymccalls I adapted. For the helmet I used the free @kamuicosplay helmet pattern. The fabric is the @cosplayfabrics Yaya line of neoprene #cosplayfabrics. They are wonderful to work with. The wig is @wigisfashion. The photographer is my poppop. XD did I forget anything? Haha. Boot covers and gloves and cowl and cape and body suit alterations and belt were all made/designed/drafted by me. All sewn by me. Worbla and painting all done by me. Like, last night. Fit test. It sits a little deeply on my head, but that's because my hair isn't all up under it with a wig on. That will change the fit somewhat. Originally I had it more shaped to my face, making it a little more closed, but then I couldn't get it off my head!! 😵😵 but this was a first attempt. Learned a lot! Now I know how NOT to make a Magneto helmet! Working on my Magneto helmet. It's not very good. I struggled to get it symmetrical, and the surface to be so dang smooth. But the enamel looks good. Here's hoping the rest goes smoothly.
