after that last night, abby hadnt shown at your door again. she knew she was wrong for it, for everything. all you had done was love and care for her, treating her with sweet southern kindness. she hated herself for leaving you.

you couldn’t find it within your heart to hate her. she didn’t lie when she said it wasn’t safe for the two of you beyond the farm. it still didn’t make it hurt any less when she left without a word.

you gave up after three months and she didnt come by even once. you fell back into your regular routine. afternoon tea, church, chores. you even found a bookstore that would fill the quiet hours between tasks.

abby didn’t forget about you though, how could she? she had people all around town keeping an eye on you, ensuring you were never around danger. subtle misdirections and such. just because she couldn’t be there didn’t mean she doesn’t care.

you’d attempted to forget her, and almost had.

but it was cold and snowy out, just days before christmas, and abby found herself close to the only place she could call home.

you werent shocked to hear a knock ok your door so late in the evening, figuring one of the ladies had stopped by with news and a gift. but seeing her at your door stopped your heart.

“can i come in?” you ushered her in, taking in her shivering frame. “im really sorry if im putting you out, but could i stay here? just for a night if thats all you please.”

you nodded, just enough to see, still starstruck. she smiled softly and knocked you out of your state. you grabbed the snowy coat off her shoulders, helping her take off those boots you knew didnt do much in this cold. you pulled her to the fire place, setting her beside it and finding a blanket to wrap around her body.

she laughed as you sat beside her, just staring. “gotta love southern hospitality.” she joked, but you barely laughed. abby sighed and picked at her fingers, “i really am sorry. i feel i cant stop hurting you.”

you merely nodded before getting up. heading to the kitchen, your head clouded as you fell into routine. as you put the kettle on, you couldnt help but wonder why she was back on your doorstep. you didnt stop wondering even as you watched the tea steep, when you brought it back to the now warmer blonde.

but when you held it out to her, you didnt let go. “are you gonna leave again?” her silence was answer enough. your hand dropped and you turned, leaving for your room.

abby flinched when your door slammed.

her boots still sat beneath your bed, gathering dust, fingerprints still visible from the last time you missed her. you listened to her footsteps as your fingers brushed all over the shoes.

she roamed the kitchen, cleaning it the best she could before she made her way upstairs. abby didnt want to hurt you. she loved you, even if she struggled to say it. when she knocked she heard a quiet ‘come in’, yet she still hesitated at the door.

the door opened for her. you staring up at her blank face, a tear stain she wanted to wash away and never see again.

“i love you.”

when the sun streamed in the next morning, it didnt fall on just you. a weight slung over your stomach, one of abby’s arms dead weight across you. you couldn’t help but smile.

when it snowed again the next day, the bed was cold, but the house wasn’t. downstairs, abby had the fire going and breakfast on the stove for the both of you.

and when the sun shown and the birds sang months later, she laid in bed watching your peaceful sleep.

her cuts and bruises had long disappeared. that chill she had that made her shake, warmed. the emptiness she had felt for all those years, had been filled with love and care she yearned for her whole life.

she felt it when she saw you.

I only just found your fancomic and art now and I’m really curious as to where Farore, Nayru and Din fit in with your AU, and where Courage fits in with it all too; is the first Link/hero that Hylia chose supposed to be the reincarnation of Courage?

Well, you see, i kinda took the zelda lore and remixed it until it tasted good to me uwu

actual answer is i rewrote the lore .. or put it in a different context so it might be confusing at first and i dont know just how much into detail you want me to explain bc .. theres alot .. like ALOT

to sum it up rly shortly:

in my AU/comic the gods (here a rough sketch i did last time i redesigned them, tho this is only nayru, actually all three are one entity but also not, like three bodies melted together at the hips down)

-each created a world, and once life started to thrive there they chose a mortal to call them to come to them, the gods then killed them and used the mortals spirit to create a deity, not mortal, but no god either, as their servant

"Courage" (not actually their name, just a word to call them since their language is long lost) is the first one to be created, but fails the purpose the gods had intended for them rather quickly; so they abandon them and flood the world until nothing but Courage survives, out of madness/desperation Courage then destroys the ancient statue of the gods and promptly discovers a path to another world through it

and that is the second world, in which "Demise" (also not his actual name) resides, he is the deity of that world and has so far succeeded, although not quite like the gods intended; he was told essentially the same prophecy we hear in the intro of skyward sword (invasion of a monster etc.) this monster is in this case Courage, who attacks Demise, who in turn seals Courage away quite easily, which isnt how the prophecy went, he was supposed to die, which makes him doubt the whole plan and starts intentionally delaying working further on it, so long in fact that Courage, now mishapen (similar to the imprisoned) and mindless, breaks free of the seal Demise then kills them, but loses one of his blade spirits in the fight (he used to have two here in my AU), now that the gods plan is not doable anymore (since Courage is dead) they abandon him and his world alot of stuff happens here, inclusing mortals turning to war, then against him, and him destroying his version of the triforce as he saw it as the source of the conflicts; but in the end his world dies a slow death by drought, just like Courage he destroys the ancient statue of the gods in his world and woop theres a path there

which is Hylias world, so, Demise is taken by wrath and grief as this world was allowed to thrive while his own died seeks to reach the the gods in revenge by all means necessarry but is quickly stopped by Hylia, who instead of sealing him like she was ordered to, spares his life, bc who she encountered was not what she was told, and wishes to know why that is, why the gods would lie to her

this is where the comic itself starts, the first encounter of her and demise is the first chapter :3

it is a theme that courage is very similar to link and demise to ganondorf (tho my hylia not that much to zelda hmmmm) but here it has no ACTUAL connection, and the triforce trio as we know in canon has no actual great lineage, no reincarnation, just mortals manipulated by the gods to make them do their bidding after all three deities revolted against being used as the gods puppets

as you can see, im very bad a summing anything up, i hope this didnt sound too lame or something, there is alot of thought and heart put into this story (i even have the background stories of each deity from before they were deities, even tho it doesnt come up in the comic) and i hope i will keep my motivation and passion for this giant project alive enough to get at least more than one chapter done (i have a bad track record of failed comics, im horribly afraid of abandoning this one too bc i put so much more work and love into it already, i guess it depends on the support from you guys how far i will be able to go qwq)

first off, wow will stetson has rly improved his vocals. ive listened to a few of his recent covers and hes way better nowadays than in this one. the high notes are kinda kicking his ass here, but thats fair. LTM is not an easy song to sing.

that aside this concept is very interesting.. since the lyrics are by breadbox, its very illuminating to see how he interprets the manga and ayano's character in general. which is important to me bc i am aware that he's like the only? kagepro youtuber out there i think.. or at least the most popular. meaning his content and interpretations have shaped recent english-speaking public opinion of kgpr's narrative whether for better or worse. and i care abt that kind of shit

OK ENOUGH NITPICKING THE CREATORS LOL um my thoughts on this entire video: most of it is very standard bread and butter ayano interpretation (sacrificing herself for her everyone etc etc), but its pretty interesting to me that they chose to expand on route m konoha's and ayano's relationship, which was something that was very, very barely touched on in the manga. like konoha gets fucking possessed and ayano doesnt say a word abt that like LOL this manga is.... yeah. its interesting that they wrote their relationship as konoha worrying about ayano, but ayano feeling like he is unable to relate to her. i dont necessarily agree or disagree with that interpretation cuz its something i hvnt really thought about, but i find that to be an interesting interpretive choice.

also the second verse + chorus is pretty confusing bc the verse references konoha and ayano, but then the chorus jumps back to ayano from two years ago cuz the chorus is "Girl, 16" (ayano is 18 in the present day of route m). tho i guess the manga never really specifies how long konoha and ayano had known each other??? so maybe they met when ayano was 16??? god this vid is making me very confused abt the manga LOLLL

i will say tho that the last chorus was very confusing to me. bc it showed LTM ayano, i was under the impression that it was about a route 1 ayano? but i was confused, cuz the lyrics were "Girl, 18", and no route 1 ayano ever makes it to 18 (also when i say route 1 ayano i just mean any ayano whose part of the yuukei quartet + jumps off the roof etc etc). but after a few rewatchs, im pretty sure the last chorus is about yakitsu. i really wish they didnt use a pic of LTM ayano then, theres plenty of good pics of yakitsu from the last chapter of the manga they couldve used instead.

i get why they would believe that LTM ayano is yakitsu tho. thats cuz this is something that still isnt fully agreed on among fans, cuz even after 10 fucking years no one actually understands what LTM's mv is about LMAO. personally i think white dress ayano = yakitsu. and i think the ayano in LTM is just.... ayano from that route, not from route m. why she disappears tho.. um... hm......

my kagepro retrospective under the cut. it sounds so fake deep or whatever but this aug 15th sucked major balls for me i didnt get to write this until like the 20th anywayyyty

so kagepro day is over, but everyday is kagepro day for me. originally i was going to discuss on what being a "medusa" and "hero" meant in kagepro, but i didnt have time august 15th WOOPS. i’ll probably make a thread on that later stay tuned ;). sorry in advance, i take myself (and kagepro) way too seriously. stuff i say might not make sense, or connect well, but in the end this is kind of just for me and a retrospective on the journey i have taken with kagepro, so it’s not even really an analysis, it’s just self-indulgent. so i found kagepro when i was 14, im 18 now. i noticed this is like a really common thing, people find kagepro when they were pre-teens or teens and then it sticks with them until they’re adults, or well into their adulthood. i dont know if it’s because im biased, but i find kagepro has a tendency to stick to people like glue in a different way other then nostalgia. why is that? well, kagepro at its core is about growing up. it’s one of the main focal points of the series, and jin in his songs’ afterwords talks about it constantly. i guess you could argue the entire time loop is an allegory for denying the act of “growing up.” but what is growing up anyway? is it simply turning 18, or is it the act of regretting? i think becoming an “adult” is different for everyone, just as it is different for each of the mekakushi dan. you cant really put a label on that sort of thing. the summer, it’s a time full of emotion. it’s when you make the most discoveries as a child, it’s when you explore, it’s when you get time to just be. i think it’s fitting that this is the season kagepro takes place in. i think a lot of us yearn for the summer when we didnt “know better.” it was much more simple back then in a way. summer changes as you grow up. it becomes painful, annoying, while summer as a kid is exhilarating. however, im barely even an adult arent i? i turned 18 about 3 months ago, and yet im lumped in with people already well into their 40s. i think growing up for me, at least, is yearning. i yearn for something, i dont even know what. but, the characters in kagepro yearn for a lot as well. friendship, love, happiness. so maybe im yearning for that stuff too. here’s a quote from jin’s remind blue afterword that keeps coming back to me in one way or another, “I wonder what changed between my ‘child self’ and my ‘adult self’. I’d said there wasn’t much difference, but come to think of it, there’s just one thing. For some reason, I’ve come to reminisce to the ‘past’ awfully often.” just something to think about i guess.

A small rip reached the trio’s ears and the smell of perfect coffee wafted around them.

Espresso’s smug grin widened.

Raw anger pulsed under Childe’s skin. A small glance to the two Geo users confirmed that their masks of indifference might just give way.

Espresso gave a small ‘tsk’ and wenk off to his office. Sea Fairy’s apologetic face took Espresso’s place.

“The only ties being cut will be from your universe.” Albedo hissed; the monotony of his voice enough to scare away Sea Fairy. Not before she closed the rip, of course.

Childe’s grin grew as he overheard the Cookies’ sullen and frantic prayers to Them.

“You must have messed up real time, for Our Grace to leave you like that. Maybe you just didn’t entertain Them enough. Ha! Lacking!”

Ohhh, thank you. Thank you, thank you, so so much. This made me tear up when I first read it two days ago. I've been having some in depth discussions with some older (wiser) friends about how I've been feeling and it's... a lot of it is me getting inside my head too deep and breaking my own heart, and I'm learning healthier ways of dealing with stress than to basically take it out on myself.

It's... there's a lot going on, but I'm trying to get a handle on things. Every time I try, it's like oh woops here's another thing to handle and then I get behind on the stuff I was catching up on.😂💀But I'm starting to think that's just how life is. Maybe I'm right, maybe I'm not, who knows?

But I'm trying to get it right, I'm trying to do my best as best as I can. And Eddie is definitely a huge comfort for me. When I get overwhelmed, I put one of my Hellfire Club shirts on or I listen to my Eddie Munson playlist or I watch a season four episode and I spend an hour every morning and an hour every night reading and reblogging x reader fics and that also gives me motivation etc. because I get to start and end every day feeling cosy and loved, all tucked up in bed with Eddie fics and GIFS.😭😭😭 The thought of making him proud genuinely makes me wanna cry, but it also makes me wanna try harder and harder and -

I'm trying to face it. My gaze is a bit shaky and some days I'm not even looking at life, I'm just getting through the day as best as I can, but I'm trying to face it. Being a full time uni student with a job and trying to remember I'm a human is a lot to deal with, but what else can I do?💕

Can I say it seriously annoys me how Captain just takes everything thats interesting about Three Houses, like the parts where it actually deviates from your typical jrpg plot, and degrades it into something predictable and tropey? Like its INTERESTING Edelgard still doesnt trust her allies at the end of CF but nope, Captain has to make her and the BESF into the boring overused found family trope. Its INTERESTING that a church in a jrpg isnt pure evil - woops, never mind, religion bad 1

so back to the religion of evil slash evil church tropes that exist in like nintey-nine percent of jrpgs we go. Its like Captain is rewriting the game based on what he expected or wanted to happen but didnt. 2

For real! Like, I'm not gonna sit here and say that I don't love me my found family dynamic, but that is just not what the Black Eagles have with each other, especially on CF. Playing as the villainous people who are unaware of their villainy is a really cool idea (if executed kinda whack), but Cap'n is determined to water it down to a sing-song friendship is magic quest of happiness and sunshine as EdeIgard enacts war on a continent. The Church being a genuinely morally gray institute and not just "lol what if the religion was SeCrEtLy EvIl" snooze-fest is interesting, but Cap'n is hard-set on making it an objectively evil thing with no nuance at all whatsoever. It takes away everything that makes CF such a neat concept.

And bro, "Its like Captain is rewriting the game based an what he expected or wanted to happen but didnt" I'll take a bold stance and say that that is exactly what he is doing. I'm sorry, almost nothing in this fic suggests that Cap'n cares much at all about what actually happens in the game - the characters are laughably OOC, the lore is misrepresented if not flat out incorrectly represented, and the story deviates from the one in canon (and not just in "Kronya lives" ways either, I mean "EdeIgard tells people about her coronation even when she literally doesn't want people to know about that in canon" kind of ways) often.

Like, a CF parley scene does not happen and would not happen in canon. The Kingdom does not strike the Empire first at any point in CF. Claude is trying to put up a united front in an attempt to ward off EdeIgard. And out of the timeskip, EdeIgard willingly hands of the Death Knight to TWS. EdeIgard never promises to not use Demonic Beasts anymore and would not promise such a thing. EdeIgard is never scared of Rhea, Dimitri, or Thales. Dimitri is not obsessed with EdeIgard until after the Flame Emperor reveal. Rhea and Dimitri are not angry people until their trauma buttons are mashed by EdeIgard. EdeIgard would not see Marianne as a strong person, and Marianne does not become stronger on CF. No one considered Lonato's rebellion a commoner's rebellion. Mapleshade good i love her

She was introduced as this character who was just a dark forest cat

All you know about her is that she was evil

Then shes this figure of torture in crookedstar promise

All you know about her is that she is evil. For these reasons we hardly understand or that are explained and that crookedstar was no part of. She seems evil and irrational. All you know about her is that she is evil and your meant to think nothing else

Then mapleshade vengeance happened

And most of yall seemed to read it and continued to think mapleshade was evil and that was it. plain and simple Because you've been told this for so long that you haven't considered ever that she can be seen as anything else.

Mapleshade is already a character written in a poorly written book series that tends to make things very black and white. Especially with rules and how cats feel. Stuff along these lines. If the writers say a cat is evil we for some reason can’t seem to be allowed to see them as anything else even if some of their evil stuff is agreed to be ok on other characters or isolated without the characters name attached.

Mapleshade is a cat who lives in the clans, and anyone with the ability to think knows the clans kinds suck. There are rules that are ridiculous and even harmful such as these mixed clan romances and shit.

Mapleshade also appears to be living in a time where the clans are cruel and strict.

Mapleshade is a cat who made a mistake with the cat she chose to loved. Appledusk never loved her and she made the mistake of getting close to him. 

She wasn't in love with Birchface. She never had to be. But when someone ask if that's her kits father, of course she says yes. Because she knows the laws and isnt looking to start up more trouble than she is already in.

Mapleshade killed appledusk, who more than deserved it. And was surrounded by cats who let her kits die. Cats who despite seeing and knowing her loyalty and young young kits decided their laws were so important that the death of one cat (Birchface) was worth ruining a whole family and letting children drown. (I really don’t see anyone talking about blaming the cats who let all this happen, only yall you want to say mapleshade let her kits die and shit like HELLO?)

Mapleshade loses her kits, I often see people say 'she killed her kits it's her fault for making them cross the river' like hello the books are badly written?? You think this lady who clearly loved her kits so much would have done that just because and not because she thought she needed to. You act like bluestar didnt take her kits out of camp in the freezing cold and lose one. Mapleshade was desperate and afraid with no where to go but with hoped riverclan. All she had was hope, and at her kits death she had nothing. With appledusk and darkstar and everyone else turning her away at this point she had less than nothing. She is upset and she goes on her quest of vengeance against cats who wronged her over and over. ( I really don’t understand how this isnt seen as an epic tale of a mother who sought vengeance for her three lost children sPECIALLY when we on SO many occasions have seen  cats murder others for equal to less reasons. its a fucking fantasy book about WARRIOR feral CATS yEAH sometimes a killing gonna happen and it DOES A LOT!)

Mapleshade lives in world that chose to be nothing but cruel to her and she dies by its hands.

BUT the real point I'm making, my idea for better writing

Mapleshade has killed these cats who wronged her and starclan sees her through their glasses of black and white. She is a murderer. She goes to the dark forest.

But miraculously despite their stupidity, they recognize some of the cats she killed as rule breakers. they are also sent to the dark forest

Mapleshade spends the afterlife tormented by the ghost of her past.

She stands on the edge of the dark forest and thinks of her family

Then

Crookedstars promise

But instead of just a story where mapleshade haunts and torments crookedjaw

Crookedjaw struggles with mapleshade as she tries to get revenge, tormenting him however she can. She has become twisted and dark with her time spent in the forest. 

However, Crookedjaw learns about Mapleshade. hears the stories of mapleshade. Here's the vile way people say her name. They see her as evil because it's what they've been told. A story of this cat who killed Riverclan warriors for what their told, no reasons. Shes only a murderer.

But Crookedjaw gets the full story from Mapleshade and potentially others.

He sympathizes with her and understands why she would be so hateful and spiteful of his family despite many moons past.

Crookedstars promise becomes a book of healing. Crookedjaw does what he can to atone for his family's mistakes and what they did to mapleshade.

Mapleshade isnt sure she can ever forgive what happened.

Crookedjaw and bluefur fall in love and she has their kits.

Mapleshade watches. She is seen by crookedjaw less and less as she had begun to watch over bluefur and her new born kits. She sees herself in the new queen. She wants her to thrive and be well.

When mapleshade knows bluefur has decided to take her kits to riverclan so she can be leader. Mapleshade wants to yell

She watches bluefur get up and take her kits. Mapleshade yells and yells to bluefur. she tells her to turn back. It's too cold, turn back. They wont make it, please! Someone else can be deputy. Do this another day. Anything! Please dont do this!

Mapleshade frantically tries to get her ghostly cries to reach bluefur

Snowfur's ghost walks on in silence. Eyes on mosskit.

Mosskit drops. She dies and Mapleshade cries for the kit who has died too young. For the blue queen to has made a mistake that got her own beloved kit killed. Much like Mapleshade has many moons ago. 

Mapleshade is heart broken as she watches bluefur get her kits to riverclan. the only thing that brings her joy is watching Crookedjaw and Oakheart accept these kits to their side of the river lovingly, accepting them fully as family. 

Snowfur leads mosskit to starclan. Mapleshade follows as far as she can go to make sure they make it ok.

She stands at the edge of starclan like she has so many times. Watching the two cats walk right in.

Snowfur stops. Still quiet. And gives a single nod to follow.

Mapleshade enters starclan. She sprints into starclan until she is met with her babies

Mapleshade lives out her days with her babies, and her new found family with snowfur and mosskit. Soon oakheart. Stonefur and bluestar. Crookedstar is there happy to see the cat he knew deserved a second chance. They wait for mistystar now.

Mapleshade is finally at peace

Appledusk replaces maples position in the dark forest.

All you were supposes to know about mapleshade was that she was evil. But maybe she could be more.

i really enjoy this song but um. im also aware that its the type of music i imagine shawn mendes to make although idk if thats true. and this realization bothers me a lot 😭😭😭 but its seungyoun and i love the guitar and the vibes so whatever 🤪

i think its cute!!! not exactly my favorite on the album but i dont think theres really anything wrong with it at all? dont ask me why but i feel like a girl group should cover this song, itd be so cute 🥺

good, love the bgm (because bass and guitars lol). once again not my personal favorite but i can see myself listening to it a lot at the same time. i could hear a bunch of these on us radio including this one

my favorite....by like a lot 😅 hes serving the woodz-weeknd hybrid i always knew he could 😌 my only critique is that i wish this couldve been a tt in like. jan - march and then the rest could be on a repack. i kinda cant believe hes not promoting this one, its too good 😭😭😭

i wanna just say that i really enjoy albums where the title is not the first song. idk, it just feels like the order actually means something then? but ik thats not really true, its just how i feel. as for the song itself: i like it! i dont necessarily understand it as a tt but definitely moreso than others. i think that this album as is, i would put chaser as the tt with waiting as the promoted bside, but thats just me. this whole album was like. (a specific type of) guitars and bass and if a song has those two things i like the song, i just cant help it. so i like this song just like the others even though i dont have anything interesting to say about it. also, do the parts when he says "why u make me crazy?" and the like sound like "boy u make me crazy" to anyone else???? like i hear why when im looking at the lyrics but boy when im not 😭😭😭 i was like oh???? 👀 until i saw what the lyrics were lmfao
