Had a fun time first time Natural dyeing. Well first time “recorded”. I experimented with avocados once but didn’t use a mordant. So here are pics of my elderberry dyed wool. Short version of what’s what is... Darker skeins soaked for 24 hours. Lighter skeins simmered for 35 mins each after removing the dye material (second one came out lighter). Vinegar used as Mordant. (I’ll see how fast it set when I knit with it 😁) Bare yarn is Knit Picks Wool of the Andes superwash worsted wool.
