Friday night I fixed Brian's half-zip wool doubleknit bicycle jersey. He wears it as a layer on chilly bicycle rides. I had previously done some #visiblemending on the sleeve hems but they needed more attention. I had a fine merino knit shirt I picked up at a thrift store to use as fabric. I cut off the cuffs plus a seam allowance. I serged the edges of the new cuff, zigzagged over the raggedy edges, and added the new, lightweight wool ribbing.
