The Clemens Legacy Challenge, Gen 1

Newly moved into 2B Jasmine Suites, Jane Clemens readies herself for a music career that will revolutionise Hip Hop!

I chose Jane’s traits, aspirations and some gameplay goals using the Sims Random Legacy Roller. You can download young adult Jane here and check Jane’s CC list here.

In my playthrough, Jane quickly befriended Alice Martins who supported her during her pregnancy (Jane got artificial insemination) and was there during Jane’s home birth.

I took better photos of Jane and Alice during Jane’s labour with Ravasheen’s Camera… but my game crashed and I just couldn’t be bothered taking the photos again so this basic EA screenshot is all I got from that lovely moment.

With the help of Ai, the lovely elder midwife, Jane gave birth to two beautiful boys, Deandre (in the picture bellow) and Shaowen.

The first years weren’t easy for Jane. She often found herself only seeing her children in the morning before sending them off to school as she spent her entire day working on jingles and songs, and working until late at night. Weren’t it for Alice and Ai, Deandre and Shaowen would’ve been basically left on their own.

For the twin’s 12th birthday, Jane booked a camping holiday in the frozen woods of Granite Falls. Deandre's on the left, Shaowen on the right.

I unfortunately didn’t capture this on camera, but there was a little accident when Shaowen was playing on the fire and Jane and Deandre caught on fire! Weren’t it for Shaowen’s quick thinking and panic calling the firemen, Shaowen would’ve probably become an orphan… But all’s well when it ends well :)

Ai, the lovely midwife who was a grandmother to the twins, passed away shortly after the camping trip. It was a heart-breaking moment, but the family (and Alice) managed to cope with it using the power of music 🎼

The twins have recently become teenagers and Jane is now an adult. She has her mind set on becoming famous and leaving her mark on the world or Hip Hop. She also wants a third kid but she has been having trouble conceiving (artificial insemination), not to mention that she’s always basically broke…

With the recent update to base game, the Sims added a couple of options for transgender sims. I haven’t really played with a transgender sim before and I've been quite excited to do so... Fingers crossed one of the twins suits my idea for a transgender gameplay!

Sims 2 CC Mega Post

I say 'mega' but there really isn't a whole lot, I just didn't wanna split it up. Anyway, yeah, I mostly and normally and prefer to make Sims 4 stuff, but I made some Sims 2 stuff for me last year and this and I figured, may as well share it. Most of these require outside meshes so keep that in mind, Sims 2 CC downloading is a bloody nightmare.

Alex Skin

So I made a custom skin with tattoos for Alex as it seemed simple enough to do. Ain't gonna look perfect, but it looks fine from a distance, same resources I used for my Sims 4 versions, so I did vector the rose and skull. I based the skin off these default replacements. You don't NEED these, but they make it so that everyone matches. Yes that site requires an account and login, it's NSFW, it has body hair and works with nudity. Because obviously I play with mods like that. I made the skin look right for Fit/Thin/Fat but I didn't bother with any age but adult nor did I bother with female, because, idc. I THINK this is Alex's hair mesh, but idfk, I have so many that look like this.

It also works in Castaway Stories, as does all of these, because I used them in it too. :> That made Alex the palest guy on the island as all the skin tones in Castaway Stories were shifted to one tone darker per. I manually put my replacement skin in that too, but I didn't have the darkest, so no body hair to them.

Streaked Jack Hair

You need this mesh to make this work. I made this for myself as I didn't really like anything else I had for him, and this is Sims 2, so I went with earlier hair, and I liked how this mesh looked. Loosely based on like this hair. I didn't bother with other ages beyond adult again. I would have if I decided to de-age him and send him to university, but I did that with Otto instead.

Again also works in Castaway Stories, as I used it, again. It's easy to import Sim's faces from 2 into the stories games.

Awsten Tricolor Hair

Awsten Red Hair

You need this mesh to make this work. The bright green in that is also great and I used that for him at first. These are his eyes too, or rather his right eye. No screenshots of the red hair, but it's just a bright plain red in case you prefer it. I made this hair as it looked okay with the colors kind of being randomly spread around the mesh. This is his outfit btw. Again only works with adult as far as I'm aware.

You need this mesh to make these work. All of these are Everyday fashion only by account of only the Everyday category having the option for separates and these are all tops. Don't ask me what pants I use, I have so many downloaded, but these work with all of them.

You need this mesh for the PTV hoodie. I don't THINK the DD hoodie needs anything external, I compared it to a vanilla mesh and it seemed to line up. I don't know, I made it last December and I didn't log everything I did. Like the shirts above, Everyday category only as they are tops.

As a bonus, here's some misc Sims 2 screenshots to hit the image limit, including this stuff and with no context to my game. I know most people on modern computers play with The Ultimate Collection, but I installed it via discs, and a few ISOs as I didn't feel like spending $30+ for a few missing stuff packs on eBay. :) Pretty sure those ISOs are why my game is British and I have to always manually set the clock and a few other small things every time I load it. Not a big deal to me, just felt I'd mention for clarity. Castaway Stories is from an ISO too as have you SEEN those prices on eBay?! I have Sims 3 on Disc too, 100%, never made any CC for it tho. I love how Sims 2 was out at the peak of, ahem, mid to late 2000s culture so a lot of CC for it is of it's time in the best possible way. I kept this theme going with adding in custom music that ONLY existed from before 2009 (so 2008 is my cut-off date) and it's fun only hearing music of the era ingame. :) I DID make stuff for Sims 1 too years ago but I don't know how I even really did it so idk how to make more and also I don't care that much. I wanted to try playing with Alex and Jack in Sims 1 too but I kept getting fucked up files that didn't work or look right and I didn't know what I needed to do to make it right and I didn't wanna waste more time than I already did trying to make their faces. I do have semi-not ugly faces and outfits for a couple others tho.

Oh yeah, all this stuff is made in the Body Shop and GIMP for textures.

I've been playing Bluewater Village, and Denise Jacquet rolled the want to marry a rich sim. Sure, I'll give her whatever she wants, she doesn't have much longer to live. And who's the richest sim in town? Malcolm Landgraab, of course.

Alas, she dies, and then...Malcolm rolls the want to marry a rich sim. Okay, his new wife just died, I'll give him whatever he wants. And who's the next richest sim in town? Gilbert Jacquet, who just sold his bakery business!

Max didn't return home from the bar until late the next morning and Rosemary could instantly tell something was off with him, he was even angrier than when he stormed off on her the previous night. She sat him down to talk, and whether it's because he was still drunk, or he had a moment of clarity and guilt for what he's done, Max tells Rosemary about his entire night, every last detail.

Deep down Max felt like Rosemary wouldn't possibly think of leaving, not this close to her due date, she was so particular about her birth plan and he couldn't imagine her going through it alone. But this was the final straw for Rosemary. She could handle the attitude and outbursts, but being just weeks away from welcoming her daughter into the world she just could not do it anymore.

I forgot I really liked building in the serenitea pot in genshin but I quit almost 2 years ago now i think and I reallllllly don't want to actually play genshin. like I don't even care about the gacha characters lol I just want to sandbox build but I don't wanna have to spend time to get resources + blueprints and then more time to wait for items to craft :/

hey friends! i was unable to post all of my early access content bc i'm sick. but i was able to post this video, which in my honest opinion are the major features in this 'romance' pack.

IS IT WORTH $40?

*i do not cover everything in the pack, only the things that stood out for me lol. i'm sorry i'm not used to doing full reviews up here

the attraction system is helpful and expands dating (which is great, but we've had mods that could do this for some time: pick your poison). the romantic satisfaction is the star here. i love being able to create one sided relationships and actually take care of our romantic relationships with sims. this is a valuable feature for me!

cupid's corner is a nice "hey i don't need this mod" anymore type of feature. prior to this i was using lumpinou's meet & mingle which allowed me to meet with sims (platonic and romantic). i dislike that you can not write custom bio's for your sims. i love the way the app functions, i love saving sims and adding them to our rel. panel - and getting to know them through the phone first. i wish we could've defined our sims favorite music/foods/color etc.

i'll admit it, i'm a sucker for dynamics. family dynamics from the sims 4 growing together are so good (minus the fact that everyone wants to be f*cking jokesters after one joke lol). but i love them! they really do impact my sims relationships. the different romance dynamics are interesting. for example: a strained romance dynamic makes it VERY hard for your sims to communicate. it's like your sims will randomly hug each other, but then 5 secs later they're upset. they want to love each other so badly but they can't lol.

now onto random things that excited me. you can go to cupid's couples counseling. i did not know we'd actually be able to answer questions. these sims had a strained romance dynamic and it was so bad - the therapist suggested we come back. but when i tried to schedule it again, they were booked and i had to wait to schedule another appt. which is great, because in the meantime your sims are going downhill fast and you have to keep the peace until then (if you choose).

there are new pop ups and invites. there's even one for a reality dating show lol. you can turn these off in game settings. (if you're wondering, mr. landgrabb never showed up at the motel he wanted to meet at. he stood my sim up. don't judge me, i thought there was simoleons involved).

new crafted dates are cool. you can choose whatever you want to do on them. there's new social interactions based on the activities you choose. you can also invite other sims to these (double dates woohoo!) you can also create crafted hangouts. i like these, i got this cute picture as a reward after a succesful crafted hangout. if you're familiar with mws weddings, it's the same idea. except this works well and isn't as glitchy lol..

another random feature i never needed, but now i find it useful. you can create your own relationship label that will appear in the rel. panel

it's unfair how gorgeous this world is... because there's nothing to do. this is all set dressing.

you can declare your love here.. at the wall of love.

you can buy flowers or edible sweet treats at this shop in the background.

you can get local food here. there are 3 new dishes and spicy hot chocolate. now, i'm not mexican (the world is inspired by mexico) BUT 3 new foods isn't cutting it for me. technically only 2, because one is a vegan option. no pozole, enchiladas, guacamole, tamales?? i'm a foodie, so i take full offense to that.

there's a nightclub, gym and lounge. but you get the idea.. there's nothing culturally unique about this world which makes me sad. no festivals? i'd love seeing a mariachi band play at the lounge. something. otherwise, keep the world and add more features right? i would've loved table proposals (sims 2 anyone?). or frisky couch makeouts. so many missed opportunities here.

there's more i could say but i feel like this post should be a little helpful in deciding wether this is a pack you need right now, or wait for a sale! i personally love having a complete colection, so i've always wanted every expansion. though i recieve the pack for free, i owe you my honesty and i want to start doing blog/written content because it's easier to process my thoughts through the excitment. i will enjoy this pack, i do like it, and only time will tell as i integrate it with my current gameplay. i hope this was helpful!

Dreams & Nightmares Mod

Update 2.0.0 Beta

Hello, everyone!

I’m beyond excited to bring you an update for the Dreams & Nightmares Mod that I’ve been working on for months—it’s finally here! If you remember one of my previous posts, I promised a big enhancement to social interactions based on your feedback. It’s now becoming a reality!

Enhanced Social Interactions Are Live!

In this update, your Sims can now share their dreams and nightmares with a depth never seen before. Instead of generic responses, each dream or nightmare sparks unique dialogues and reaction buffs/moodlets based on the relationship between the Sims. This means every conversation becomes deeply personal and tailored to the specific connection they have.

I've added 30 Enhanced Dreams and 30 Enhanced Nightmares to start with. You can easily spot them by looking for the mark at the end of each dream's description: "This is an Enhanced Dream" or "This is an Enhanced Nightmare." I'll keep adding more; with over 400 dreams and nightmares in the mod, it's a huge but exciting task.

Let’s jump into some enhanced dream scenarios and see how these new interactions unfold!

Arthur's Dream Scenarios

Meet Arthur, who recently experienced a vivid dream about WooHooing with a vampire.

What happens when Arthur shares this dream with different people in his life? Each relationship brings out a unique reaction, influenced by how well they know Arthur and the bond they share.

1. Sharing the Dream with Elliot (an acquaintance):

Arthur decides to tell Elliot about his dream. Elliot is just an acquaintance—someone Arthur met not too long ago. Elliot listens with cautious intrigue. He's curious about the mysterious aspect of Arthur's dream but also a bit surprised by how intense it is, especially coming from someone he barely knows.

Following their conversation, Elliot ends up with a buff/moodlet that shows how he feels.

2. Sharing the Dream with Mike (a rival):

But what if Arthur shares the dream with Mike, his girlfriend’s ex and someone he considers an adversary? Mike doesn’t hold back—his reaction is filled with criticism and disdain. He finds Arthur’s fascination with vampires to be just another desperate attempt to seem different, dismissing it as trying too hard.

Afterwards, Mike gets a buff/moodlet that reflects his irritation.

3. Sharing the Dream with Rachel (Arthur's girlfriend):

Now, Arthur decides to share his dream with his girlfriend, Rachel. Her reaction is much more emotional, as the dream touches on her insecurities. Since Rachel isn’t a vampire, she feels she might be too “plain” compared to the mysterious allure of Arthur’s dream. If Rachel were a vampire, her response would be completely different, highlighting how these reactions can change based on the characters involved.

Rachel is left feeling sad, and this is captured in the buff/moodlet she receives.

4. Sharing the Dream with Stefan (Arthur's best friend):

Finally, Arthur decides to share his dream with his best friend, Stefan. Stefan’s response is supportive but curious—he finds the dream strange, but he’s genuinely interested in understanding what Arthur finds appealing about vampires.

Stefan receives a neutral buff/moodlet that shows his curiosity.

Brooke's Nightmare Scenarios

Meet Brooke, who recently experienced a terrifying nightmare about dying from starvation.

What happens when Brooke shares this nightmare with different people in her life? Each relationship elicits a unique reaction, influenced by how well the people know her and the bond they share.

1. Sharing the Nightmare with Charlie (an acquaintance):

Brooke decides to tell Charlie about her nightmare. Charlie is someone she just met—not someone she knows well. Charlie listens and responds with empathy, acknowledging the severity of the nightmare.

Following their conversation, Charlie ends up with a buff/moodlet that shows how he feels.

2. Sharing the Nightmare with June (a lifelong enemy):

Brooke shares her nightmare with June, her lifelong adversary. June responds with a sharp remark, but deep down, she starts to realize that Brooke might not be as terrible or self-sufficient as she once believed.

Afterwards, June receives a buff/moodlet reflecting her mix of cold superiority and unexpected realization.

3. Sharing the Nightmare with Darcy (Brooke's girlfriend):

Now, Brooke shares her nightmare with her girlfriend, Darcy. Darcy’s response is emotional and understanding, as the nightmare brings back memories of her own struggles. She offers support and suggests that sharing their experiences could help them both heal.

Darcy receives a buff/moodlet that reflects her empathy and emotional connection to Brooke's struggles.

4. Sharing the Nightmare with Issac (Brooke's best friend):

Finally, Brooke shares her nightmare with her best friend, Issac. Issac listens intently and opens up about their own struggles with an eating disorder. They share the pain and loneliness they felt, offering Brooke their genuine support and reassuring her that she is not alone.

Issac receives a buff/moodlet that reflects their supportive attitude.

As always, I've also updated the Spanish translation to reflect all the new dialogues, buffs, and text added to the mod. Additionally, several minor bugs have been fixed to ensure smoother gameplay.
