Geraldine was usually a rather fast walker, though she consciously slowed down for Willy to be able to keep up, although not enough to make it apparent that she was doing it on purpose.
"This is my real hair, though," Geraldine chuckled at her own joke, brushing a few strands out of her eyes as if to emphasise the point. The young woman was quite different from her father, and liked to take every chance she could to prove it.
talk about a complex.
"Nice to meet you too, Willy."
Absentmindedly fiddling with her house keys, Geraldine rested her hand against the wall as she slotted the key into the lock. She had moved out just a few months ago, though her family reputation and...well, to put it very bluntly, money, had afforded her a rather comfortable place to call her own.
"You don't need to worry about insulting my father...I'm not sure he's even smart enough to realize you were doing it if you said it to his face." Her tone was unreadable, though slightly embittered. She and the Prodnose patriarch had never really got along. Mostly thanks to how distant he was...business came before everything, apparently. "Yeah, him, Slugworth and Fickelgruber are horrible."
"I have a good memory for faces...but look at me rambling- we can talk on the way," Geraldine suggested, rubbing the back of her neck and trying to think for a moment.
"Yeah, that's it!" The memory clicked into place, and with it the memory of where she had seen his face before. She had been strolling by the galleries gourmet when she saw a crowd of people gathering around. She let out a chuckle at the memory of the entire crowd becoming airborne thanks to the effects of the strange candies. Even the chocolate cartel. They had absolutely had that social embarrassment coming, they deserved worse.
Now there was a name she'd heard before. They wouldn't stop complaining about him. "You could say I've heard of them. Prodnose is my father....not much of a one, though," the brunette girl sighed, shrugging as she tried to turn the subject to a happier subject. "Those chocolates of yours sure were somethin'. I think you've really got something, there. So don't give up, yeah?"
It probably sounded strange that she was offering encouragement to a stranger, but she had seen too many people give up on their dreams in this town. It would be nice to see someone make it. "Oh..how silly of me to forgot to introduce myself. My name is Geraldine Prodnose." She offered a sheepish smile.
"Hey, everyone gets fooled sometimes. It's basically a fact of life."

SMG4 The Musical update
Act I is complete and consists of 18 pages, Act II is (I think) a little over halfway done
This is just to tell you about the songs for Act I, what they’re based off, what they’re about and what type of music I would plan for it to have
Song 1: The SMG4 Crew
This is the opening of the show where the characters are introduced, it kind of has a same vibe as Oh, The Thinks You Can Think from Seussical, the main characters who introduce themselves in the song are SMG4, Mario, SMG3, Meggy, Luigi and Tari, the others are just ensemble in the song
Song 2: What Is This Place?
This is the second song of the show where SMG4 lands in the Mushroom Kingdom, this song is pictured to have a similar song setup of Pure Imaginations from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, this is the song I have thought about the most and made the most official for how it will sound
Song 3: I Am SMG3
This is the third song of the show where SMG3 lands in the Mushroom Kingdom and meets SMG4 for the first time, this song is pictured to have a similar song setup of Hisoka’s Theme from Hunter x Hunter; it’s meant to be a flamenco type of song because I feel like SMG3 would have a flamenco villain song, this is the second song I have thought about the most
Song 4: Championship
This is the fourth song of the show where Mario meets Meggy, Meggy in this song is talking about her dreams to win the championship (Substitute for Splatfest due to copyright) and her goal, it’s supposed to have a similar vibe to Splattack! from the Splatoon OST
Song 5: Destroy The Megster
This is the fifth song of the show where Meggy meets Desti for the first time, Megster is a nickname that Desti calls Meggy in the show only once, this is the first duet song of the show which consists of Meggy and Desti arguing and the start of their rivalry, Mario has only one verse in the song and the members of the Octoposse are the choir in the back
But yeah those are the songs of Act I, Act II so far has three songs and as I said, probably about a little over halfway finished so stay tuned for what the songs of Act II are called then you’ll find out the plot of Act II just by the first song title
If you want early access to song names and facts about the show they will be in my Discord server under #smg4-the-musical-discussion

Wonka
Cynicism: a belief that ideas are motivated purely by self-interest; this was my thought process going to the origin story of Willy Wonka. I have more than my fair share of soulless cash grab backstories long before starting my career as a film critic, so I came in to this with a heavy amount of skepticism.
After seeing the first trailer I groaned in a manner similar to an allergic reaction, I came into this movie prepared to be underwhelmed. Funny thing about expectations, sometimes they surprise you.
Wonka is the origin story of the future enigmatic candy mogul, Willy Wonka; he travels to the legendary Gourmet Gallery with only is suitcase and his dreams of making the world’s greatest chocolate in his very own shop.
This movie was a much needed shot of serotonin, and I don’t use that statement lightly.
I guess I should get the negatives out of the way first, because they were few but absolutely need to be pointed out.
I can’t stand the “white savior” trope, and there is a subplot where it’s used and I could have done without it.
Timothee’ Chalamet, is an amazing actor as the title character, but he’s a milquetoast singer. With the exception of “Pure Imagination” I was not impressed by the songs that he led.
His more emotional scenes felt disingenuous at times, the performance while trying to combine the energy of Johnny Depp and the late great Gene Wilder, leaned more towards the former which was a disservice to the character.
All that aside, everyone in this cast gave entertaining performances regardless of my complaints.
Chalamet’s Wonka performance while somewhat derivative was overall delightful, adding a level of charm and whimsy that the character is known for throughout every incarnation.
Hugh Grant brought his dry salty wit as Lofty the Oompah Loompah.
The trio of Patterson Joseph, Matt Lucas and Matthew Bayton were hilarious as the bumbling trio of antagonists Slugworth, Prodnose, and Ficklegruber respectively.
Callah Lane, was delightful in role as the precocious Noodle.
Olivia Colman and Tom Davis as Mrs. Scrubbit and Mr. Bleecher reminded me of characters from Annie and Les Miserables which is not a negative, but it definitely left an impression.
Keegan Michael Key brought his comedic charm and timing to the role of the chief of police. Some of the gags involving him could have been disastrous, but I was pleasantly surprised by how tasteful they were.
The visuals were as colorful as the sweets from Wonka’s factory, the settings were magnificent In their diversity, Director Paul King has an amazing eye for mood and setting.
The music composed by Joby Talbot and Neil Hannon, was a spectrum of emotion. The songs were all toe tappers, and I highly recommend copping the OST.
And the choreography is just as solid, sadly I could not find the credits for it as of this writing.
Most importantly Willy Wonka’s mystique is left fully in tact. Paul King and co-writer Simon Faranby, understood what a lot of prequel writers don’t, not every question needs an answer. Willy Wonka just is, and I love that they understand that.
I couldn’t stop smiling as the film continued, it’s warm cup of hot cocoa on a winter’s day and I highly recommend checking it out this holiday season.
Wonka gets a very solid 4 out of 5.

Quite a random though, but...
Saw Wonka yesterday on the cinema, and I'm going back today for a second watch today.
I'm not gonna say you'll surely like it, because everyone has their preferences, but I can assure you I'm definitely in love with it.
I don't remember enjoying something more than this in a lot of time, and the ost is already on a loop in my Spotify.

I watched Wonka today and it was exactly what I expected (not necessarily a bad thing)
Hey yall, sorry for not uploading, I was way too lazy to make posts because I had nothing funny to say about the *two* movies I watched recently, one of them being The menu and the other one being Foam Bath, other than haha Will Ferrell was one of the director's of The menu and watch Foam Bath if youre planning on doing drugs in the future.
So as I said, I watched Wonka today, out of nothing better to do because in reality, I didn't plan on watching this movie because I didn't care about it. But I'm doing shitty in the past weeks and I went to the cinema out of impulse. So I watched it and I have some thoughts so I wont say anything as a filler, enjoy.
I'll start with the positives:
The visuals were absolutely stunning, not one scene of this movie looked off or out of place, it had a very 2016 vibe to it, I dont know how to explain it but a lot of movies with this kind of atmosphere came out in the 2010s, which for me, is a positive thing. I enjoyed looking at the sets and scenes, I think the set and the costumes were absolutely perfect. It had a really heartwarming vibe to it that was kind of expected from the director of Paddington, and I think its a "KIDS MOVIE" like its a KIDS kids movie, I think a lot of little humans under the age of 8-9 would like this movie, its pretty, eye candy (or eye chocolate if you may) for the peasants.
Rowan Atkinson was hilarious, I dont care that he was in the movie for less than 10 minutes, he made the movie so much better with his pure existence.
The music was okay, the osts were pretty fitting for the scenes but I would say theyre very forgettable. I dont remember one line from ANY of the songs and I'm gonna be honest, every time Timothy bursted into a song made me cringe, a bit harder every single time. This could come from the fact that I dont like musicals, but hey, I dont like action movies either and one of my favorite movies is Bullet train, so this isnt necessarily an excuse.
The story was okay, it was very childlike and it honestly kept me engaged so it reached its goal, the ending straight up made me shed a tear or two, its overall heartwarming and I liked it.
The characters are good, they all have their own story and motivation, theyre not exactly three dimensional but I cant write this up as a flaw for a movie like this. Still gotta mention it.
Now I know, we have to address the elephant in the room. Or giraffe, iykyk.
Timotheé Chalamet as Willy Wonka was a very weak casting choice in my opinion. At one hand, I'm very happy that Timotheé had the chance to expand his career with different characters that are not the standard bottom in every european gay corn, I'm glad they gave him a role that is more whimsical and more quirky, I think it looks good on him. HOWEVER. Wonka was too big of a challenge and it was SO out of character, SO not Wonka like that at the BEGINNING of the movie, I had to imagine that this mf is Wonka's son or nephew or whatever that isnt Wonka himself. I would say that this was the weakest movie of Timotheé and the weakest Wonka period. Whats even worse that its a known fact that they went for the vibe of Gene Wilder's Wonka, that was the craziest of them all, but its not close to Depp's Wonka either. Let's start with the fact that a lot of Wonka's charm came from the mystery that was around him. Nobody knew where did he come from, what is his motivation, why is he this coocoo bananas, it was like an old man, popping onto the face of the Earth. Wonka actually gives us a backstory, that is about him and his mom, and that his mom was a cook and that he wanted to make a shop for her aaAAA I DONT CAREEEEE
For me, no Wonka backstory will be good, *because* he's supposed to be mysterious. Also the fact that this movie basically disproved the "oompa loompas being slaves" theory/semi canon, because in this movie, its ♡mutual business♡, I mean I get it, imagine Timotheé Chalamet as a slave owner.
So in conclusion, I didn't hate this movie, I would actually say I liked it. It was funny, whimsical and heartwarming, its not deep at all and its a light watch for kids.
But please for my sake, if you guys cant sit on your ass and just enjoy nostalgia because you need to make another and another prequel/sequel, at least cast Jeremy Allen White as Wonka next time.
Thats it, see ya, happy holidays

20. What movies do you have on your current to-watch list? Colour Out of Space, Repo! The Genetic Opera, Bird with the Crystal Plumage, Tower of London, mostly older or oddball films I've missed out on. This is a bit of a strange list, but let's give it a go.
1) Princess Bride - this movie has developed much of my sense of humor. Classic movie for a reason.
2) The Last Unicorn - brilliant story, beautiful artwork, amazing music. Yes, the ost is on more than one playlist in my history.
3) Flight of Dragons - this is possibly an underrated classic, but it is a beautiful movie that I hope more people to see.
4) Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Chipmunks Movie (1987) - in part nostalgia, in part I used to watch it with my nieces when they were younger to help them sleep.
5) Wall-E - by far the most recent movie on the list. It just resonates with me.
Honorable mentions:
The Rankin Bass Lord of the Rings trilogy. With the Return of the King being top of the pack, but I have to watch all three. I'm talking the animated movies of the 70's and 80's btw.
Guardian of the Galaxy - a good movie to shut off the brain and jam out to.
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971) - explains more about my sense of humor...
Nightmare Before Christmas - a classic, no notes.
The Transformers: The Movie (1986) - not me crying over Optimus for many years.
Tagging: @logo-comics, @twotommyolivers, @mrevaunit42, @rosemary-kitten, and @amynchan
Top 5 Comfort Movies
Rules: list 5 movies and tag 5 people.
1. Meet Me In St Louis: nothing tops Judy Garland singing "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas". And it reminds me of my grandma.
2. Cinderella (1965) : just listen to "Do I Love You Because You're Beautiful".
3. Treasure Planet: "I'm Still Here" is an underrated Disney hit okay?
4. Moulin Rouge! (2001): "Come What May" can't be beat. Either version. And I'm addicted to Ewan McGregor.
5. Beauty and the Beast (1991): because I too would be totally fine living in a castle with a giant library.
(I realized that most of these movies are music-oriented and I have no idea why.)

By Neil Genzlinger
(The New York Times) — Leslie Bricusse, a composer and lyricist who contributed to Broadway hits like “Stop the World — I Want to Get Off” and “Jekyll & Hyde” and popular films like “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” and “Goldfinger,” died on Tuesday. He was 90.
The BBC said his agent had confirmed his death. News accounts said he died in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, France, where he had a home.
Mr. Bricusse’s songs, many written with the actor and singer Anthony Newley or other partners, were recorded by a vast range of vocalists. Among the first was Sammy Davis Jr., who, when performing in London in 1961, saw the Newley-Bricusse show “Stop the World,” which had just opened in the West End, and became an ardent fan. He garnered a Top 20 hit in America in 1962 with his version of a song from that show, “What Kind of Fool Am I?”
A decade later Mr. Davis would take Mr. Newley and Mr. Bricusse (pronounced BRICK-us) to the top of the charts when he recorded a largely unnoticed song from the film musical “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” with the Mike Curb Congregation. (The film had been released the previous year to negative reviews.) The song was “The Candy Man,” and it reached No. 1 on both Billboard’s pop and easy listening singles charts, the biggest hit of Mr. Davis’s long career.
Another song from “Willy Wonka,” “Pure Imagination,” has been recorded by numerous artists, among them Josh Groban, Maroon 5 and Barbra Streisand. Shirley Bassey had a Top 10 hit in 1965 with “Goldfinger,” the title song from the 1964 James Bond movie, for which Mr. Bricusse and Mr. Newley wrote the lyrics to John Barry’s melody. Another Bond film, “You Only Live Twice,” featured a title song by Mr. Barry and Mr. Bricusse that was sung by Nancy Sinatra and recorded later by many others.

Sims 2 Default Skin Replacement Tutorial
There are so many players of The Sims 4 out there who just can’t handle the look of a basic sim if you keep the EA default skin. The characters in the game are extremely cartoony and many players want their creations to look more relatistic and that’s where skin mods come into play.

If you want all the sims in your game to have skins nicer than the EA default then you must use default replacement skins or take each and every one of them into CAS and put the non-default skins on them. The same with non-default eyes. I do not bring every sim in town into CAS so use default skins and eyes, one for the males and one for the.
These default skins and skin overlays can really change the look of your newly created sims characters and make them feel entirely real, like someone you’d see down the street instead of someone who you’d see in a cartoon which can add depth to your gameplay.
There are hundreds of default skins out there, but we wanted to compile 25 of our favorite skin overlays and skin mods for The Sims 4 into an easily digestible list so you can find your new favorite skin for your new digital friends.
1. Ethereal Skin Overlay by Bill Sims
This first skin overlay is extremely realistic and will make your sims look so incredible. It has nice face detailing giving way more dimension to your sims instead of just a smooth surface.
Using the ethereal skin overlay will get your sims looking like they belong on Instagram instead of in a video game so you’ll be jealous of how gorgeous your sims are.
2. FIT Skin Overlay by Pralinesims
The FIT Skin Overlay by Pralinesims is a really great option to make your sims look so incredible. It will add tons of detail to both their body and their faces, making them look so smooth and realistic.
This skin mod is great if your sim uses the fitness skill a ton because it makes six packs on sims look so much more detailed and realistic.
3. Healthy Skin Overlay by PralineSims
If you want your sims to look extremely healthy and vibrant, the healthy skin overlay is a must have for your game. Like seriously, download it right now. It adds so much detail to your sims to make them so gorgeous.
This is a great option for a default skin replacement so your sims of all ages can be looking perfect all the time.
4. Hydra Skin Overlay by Praline Sims
The hydra skin overlay by PralineSims is so good and makes your sims look like they are HYDRATED and their skin is super soft. I wish my skin looked this good in real life sometimes.
Hydra skin can be a great option for any sim because it gives just the right amount of texture while smoothing out the vibe and making it so gorgeous.
5. Isleroux’s Default Skin Replacement
If you want a more simple default skin replacement that keeps the artistic vision of The Sims 4, but makes it look a bit less cartoony then the Isleroux Default Skin is for you.
This is a really great option if you’re just starting to dive into custom content and skin mods for The Sims 4 because its hard to jump in from 0 and this is a great starting option.
6. Lazarus Skinblend by GrimCookies
Grimcookies is an awesome custom content creator and the lazarus skin blend is a great option for a default skin replacement. This skin blend looks awesome on sims of any skin tone and adds so much dimension to their face.
This is one of the skin blends on this list that is always in my game, and makes my sims feel much more real which leads to me connecting to them on a whole different level.
7. Lucia Skin by Satanies
Thelucia skin by satanies will add a ton of dimension to your sims bodies including some interesting dimension around the belly button and highlighting on specific parts of the body.
It comes in seven different swatch colors so you have a bit of options for this skin, and it looks great on all sorts of sims.
8. Lunaria Skinblend by Nesurii
This lunaria skinblend by Nesurii will add such a beautiful highlight right under your sim’s eyes, you won’t be able to stop talking about how cute they look. Sometimes skin mods try to do too much, but this one does just the right amount.
You can make this your everyday default skin choice and all of your sims will be looking absolutely perfect, add a bit of make up and a cute outfit and your sims are ready for their new life.
9. Markus Skin Overlay by Ms Blue
If you have sims who want to focus on their fitness skill and gain some serious muscles, you’ll want to download the Markus Skin Overlay by Ms Blue. This skin will add so many extra details to fit sims and looks so good.
This is great for sims in the athletic careerand will make sure that you have crushes on the pixels that get to look that good.
10. Mary Skin by Blahberry Pancake
The Mary Skin by Blahberry Pancake will have your sims looking like real humans, instead of like a perfectly photoshopped supermodel. This is great for all sorts of sims, but only works for female sims so be aware of that before downloading.
This skin just looks like people you know, instead of people you strive to look like so it can totally make your sims feel like your family members instead of like Instagram models.
11. Mia Skin Overlay by Milarasims
TheMia Skin Overlay by MilaraSims adds some much need skin details to your sims face. This skin mod adds some dimension to your sim’s cupid’s bow and adds some detail to their under eye as well.
The great thing about this skin is that is still feels real with texture, instead of just looking airbrushed. You’ll find that this looks great on so many sims, no matter what their vibe is.
12. Mirabelle Skin Overlay by Ms Blue
If you like to see pores and skin texture on your sims, instead of the cartoon vibes from the game, you’ll want to grab the Mirabelle Skin Overlay by Ms Blue. This adds some colour to your sims eye area which is just something that happens to humans naturally.
As you can see in the image, the mirabelle skin will look gorgeous both with make up on your sim, and without, making sure they look gorgeous no matter which outfit they are wearing.
13. Papillon Skin Blend by Vivavi
If your vibe for sims is smooth and simple, the papillon skin blend by vivavi is a great option. This one doesn’t add a ton of texture, but it makes your sims nose look a bit more prominent and adds some much needed shading to the face and body.
This is a really great option for people who like more realistic sims, but not super realistic alpha sims like some of these other skin details and skin mods.
