I’m excited to introduce you to the next incredible female leader in our Woman Rising series! Meet Ramya Julian, a tri-lingual Indian born author and illustrator who lives and creates with her family in London. Ramya’s focus is EMPOWERMENT - “of women, mothers, and others who haven't been able to reach the full limit of their potential by virtue (not virtue, actually) of their sex, race, religion, gender, nationality, caste, and every other real and imaginary rule. I'm hoping to spread this message through the medium of art - writing and illustrating - by featuring diverse heroes in picture books and featuring unlikely heroines in my novels, which are usually historical women's fiction.” Ramya’s books often rhyme while sharing important historical content focused on female leaders in history.
