You guys.... I think Ava (if not someone else) is disguised as Brain in certain scenes of KHUX....

Okay. I thought Nomura literally changed his mind half way through UX about who he wants to be Darkness and who he wants to be the impostor. And I thought this because of the sudden shift in Brain’s personality and other reasons. I even thought last year that there were two Book of Prophecies because something didn’t line up.

In this scene, we see Ventus nervously looking at Brain and pointing out that Brain always reads that book. Brain says

“I have a plan. We're still headed for inevitable destruction. And I'm gonna change that. This world is on a path headed for destruction. Overwriting peoples' memories of the Keyblade War didn't change that. So I came up with a plan. I'm going to become a virus and overwrite the program that is this world's future.”

In Observation Excerpt 11, Luxu says

���Yet it seems that someone has pulled the old switcheroo. One of the Five is an impostor, someone the Master did not choose. They represent a virus in the program he so carefully wrote.

When Luxu points out there’s an impostor, I don’t think he’s talking about Ventus, the person not on the list of Union Leaders. He’s talking about the person IMPERSONATING BRAIN. Luxu KNOWS that’s not the real Brain in this scene. So later in the same report, Luxu isn’t talking about Brain, but his impersonator.

The virus has begun a strange undertaking: a reckless plot to allow the Five to escape into another worldline. Surely such a thing can't be possible? We're talking about the same trick that allowed the Dandelions to transfer to other worldlines after the Keyblade War. But these children are no Masters. They haven't the means...unless, of course, a certain lady of magic summoned here from the future knows more than I do.”

Luxu knows that “Brain” is an impostor here, but I don’t think he realizes it’s Ava specifically, because he thinks “Brain” doesn’t have the means that a Master has to use the now known Ark. 

In the next update, we see Brain looking at the glitching out gears, saying “So it’s begun.” Brain recognizes the the gears glitching out of existence... that’s a little strange considering Brain later says he thought they were in the real world.

Two updates after that, Brain goes over all the evidence that supports that they’re in a data world, even though he says he really thought they were in the real world.

WHY would Brain say he’s a virus in a program. Why would he look at glitchy gears knowingly saying “It’s begun...”. Why would he do this if he DIDN’T realize he was in a data world? Because the “virus” isn’t Brain. It’s his impostor. THE impostor Luxu is referring to in his reports.

Let’s refer BACK to the first linked video, how Ventus tells “Brain” that he keeps reading that book. Even way before that cutscene, when the five Union Leaders meet in the Masters’ room for the first time, Brain makes a B-LINE to the MoM’s desk where he finds the Book of Prophecies and IMMEDIATELY starts reading it. He then walks to the others, the Book in clear sight, rips a page out, and hands it over to them.

HOWEVER, in a flashback cutscene of Ava giving the Book of Prophecies to Brain, Brain specifically says “I’m going to read the Book of Prophecies as little as possible.” and Ava replies “That’s fine, you’ll know when the time is right.”

I could be wrong, but I think the first time the REAL Brain ever opens the Book of Prophecies Ava herself gave him is during the cutscene when Brain LEAVES the room, pulls the Book out his jacket secretly, and says “I wonder if this is written in here...” and reads the book while making sure he’s isolated. This is NOT the same mannerisms as the earlier Brain who read the book CONSTANTLY in front of the others, RIPPED a page out and gave it to the others.

If this is true, then this also means that there are TWO Book of Prophecies, because the real Brain keeps his copy in his pocket, and the fake Brain grabbed his copy off the Masters desk when the 5 Union Leaders walked into the room for the first time.

Then can we tell between the two Brains?

So far, the only for SURE two tells I can think of are: 1. REAL Brain’s Chirithy dresses like him. and 2. FAKE Brain’s copy of the Book of Prophecies is missing a page: the spirit pets recipe page.

I could ABSOLUTELY keep going with this, and possibly connect it to Darkness. But I’m going to leave it be for now.
