Good Evening Everyone! We have a new profile to share with you all in our female rodeo series! Check out this cowgirl: Leanne Billie 28 yrs old. hometown- Brighton Fl Seminole reservation I compete in the PRCA in these events Barrel Racing, Breakaway roping, Team Roping, and Tie Down roping. I also haze in the steer wrestling. My neighbor had a ranch horse that he taught me to ride then he taught me to do barrels and entered me in to my first rodeo when I was 13. One of my idols would be my Aunt Darlene Fletcher she help to get better at my horsemenship and get better at running barrels. She would take me with her to rodeos and if I needed to fix something she would tell me and we would fix it. This summer I went to Nevada. I was invited to Reno Nv to rope at Ladies only lnvitational Team Roping one of biggest ropings of the year. Brand NEW female Rodeo Series profile! Everyone check out, Mariah Shepherd: My name is Mariah Shepherd and I am a San Antonio,  Texas cowgirl, born and raised! I'm an up and coming barrel racer, and one day hope to learn breakaway roping. I've only been riding for about 5 years, and my first barrel race was July 25, 2014. My cousin was a tie down roper, team roper, and steer wrestler,  and after watching him ride and rodeo I fell in love and decided I wanted to rodeo.  I've been training/running my horse Copenhagen since April of this year, and we've made some major improvements since then. I'm the only person in my family who does rodeo  (besides the cousin who used to), so getting started wasn't so easy for me. I've had to rely on the people I've met along the way to teach me everything I know, and I'm thankful for them. My grandma, mom , and aunt are my biggest supporters (you can see my grandma cheering me on in the picture) and i couldnt have made it this far without them. One of my idols in the rodeo industry is definitely Fallon Taylor. Aside from being an awesome rider and the 2014 world champion, she is an amazing person. She started out young and ready to run, and she's taught me that we should chase our dreams no matter how long it takes us to achieve them. Through her injury she taught me to be thankful for my life and cherish every moment I get to do what I love, and when you get knocked down get right back up even stronger than before. Every time I've gotten a chance to talk to her in person, she has been amazing and friendly, she's definitely the kind of barrel racer I want to be. The longest I've traveled this year for my rodeo hasn't been very far, just an hour and a half. I don't the resources to travel very far or stay out of town over night just yet,  but that is definitely a goal for next summer. Good Morning Everyone!! Would you guys like to meet a female bull rider?! Well you're in luck!! Here is our first Female Rodeo Series Profile of the day:: Hey , my names Logan Shiltz and I'm from Washington Court House, Ohio ! I compete in the Sr division bull riding ! My brother got me into bull riding actually , he wanted to ride a bull and I'm always competitive when it comes to my brother so I was like "mom can I ride to?" And she never dreamed I'd do something like this , so unlike her she let me , thinking I would back out and get to scared to ride but that night I did beat my brother in seconds , I rode 4.28 seconds and he rode his bull just out of the gate , I was pretty excited to know that I rode longer than him . One of my biggest idols would have to be Lane Frost , watching 8 seconds really opened my eyes to what bull riding really is about , after getting to know about him and his life I started to take bull riding more seriously and be a more competitive rider , and next year I'll hope to be riding at his bull riding school he built but never really gotta teach so I'm excited to experience that and meet Elsie and Clyde Frost , but the main reason I was soo open to learning more and more about him was because he was the kind of guy to never give up and to always keep trying harder and harder . I'll be honest , I didn't travel at all this summer , I just rode at Fox Hollow Rodeo in Waynesville Ohio , it's an every Saturday event and I love to be there as much as possible because that's where my bull riding career took place ! My plans for the winter run will probably be just taken it slow and keep movin along because I'm currently on my way to the hospital to get surgery from some damage from last year , I got horned in the throat by a bull so I think I'm just gonna take it slow and work my way back up to the top !
