I'm picking my battles--one CANNOT read 800 pages in a week
#women in love is going to be skimmed rapidly and then shoved back onto the shelf because honestly i ain't got the time#and we're starting mrs dalloway next week so i REALLY ain't got the time#now all i need to do is blitz my way through dostoevsky (yay!) and hemingway (SIGH)#the thing IS that if i could find an audiobook for the hemingway book i'd be done in no time#because i've trained myself to listen at a pretty high speed#that would save a lot of energy too#but ah well that's life i guess#OFF TO READ and to edit that darn paper!#(adventures in class)#not gonna lie it gives me great satisfaction knowing that i won't be dragging myself through women in love#and annotating that book the way i'm annotating crime and punishment#i love the process because c&p is so so good and i'm having the time of my life reading it#but that level of attention applied to a book i can't stand is a pretty miserable time#anyhow we don't have to write a paper on it so (shrugs) sorry lawrence#will return another day#OR NOT#slings and arrows of outrageous fortune in year 21
