How did you get into COD in the first place?

saw some fanart, saw that it was cod, dismissed it, saw a random playthrough clip, heard that soap was scottish, audibly said 'oh no', then the rest was history 😔

I'm assuming this is favorite cod headcanon...hmm....I really had to think about this 🤔

perhaps a personal one is that I don't think Ghost is particularly fussed about the mask. He'll wear it on missions for anonymity's sake, but when he's out in public he's definitely not standing in the Gregg's queue looking like Skeletor...

What is your headcanon for Johnny's backstory? Good family, not good family , no family/foster kid?

good family! decent enough that he feels like he has a place to go back to, but he separated himself pretty young by enlisting as a teen so he feels he doesn't have that much in common with them anymore. he still loves them though, and they love him <3

how did you come up with wombywoo for your online handle?

it's the nickname my husband gave me 🥹 according to him, I look like a wombat (affectionate) so he exclusively calls me womby all the time 🥰

how long does one piece take you to finish from sketch to final version? if it's one character for example...

also - how did you study anatomy? your art is truly amazing to see as a non-artist myself. lots of love❤️‍🔥

hmm..most pieces will take me 3-4 days, but if it's just one character and it's simple, I can get it done within a day

as for anatomy--I've never actively studied it, more took note of how bodies work in art and in real life and slowly came to understand it over time. I'm sure there are some anatomical inaccuracies in my work, as I tend to lean towards something looking balanced and aesthetically pleasing rather than correct. for ex. I usually make feet and hands bigger than they'd be in real life, because it balances the composition out. I'm sure I'll keep learning as I continue to draw~

Every time you post a new artwork, it’s like someone is giving me a warm hug. I get such comfort from your pieces, even the angsty ones 😆

I also love that your COD pieces fall within their own “wombyverse” timeline. As another anon mentioned, the atmospheric storytelling that you share in all the little details is so fun!

Would you ever consider selling an art book of your collective works? I love the idea of being able to physically page through your different pieces all together in one place, but I get that that may not be as cost effective for you as selling prints. Just thought I’d ask ☺️

as for selling an art book--I am intrigued by the idea but honestly have no idea how I would go about that. notwithstanding all the legal complications, I don't foresee it being feasible :(

and did you study to become artist or it was a hobby?

English is my first and only language :'D I'm so inadequate...

and art has technically always been a hobby. I did attempt 'learning' art through school and art programs, but I honestly feel like those were more detrimental as they relied upon comparing art to others (bad!), so most of my acquired skill has been self-taught

hmmm...this one is oddly specific, I like it! I'll go with birdsong. there's something so pleasant about being inside and hearing the birds outside chirping away, trying to get laid and such~

sure! I think most of my lotr art can be found tagged tolkien art otherwise just 'lotr' should bring up most of it

do you think you'll ever make silmarillion art again? I adore your silm art so much, it's one of the things that got me into the fandom

I definitely will! the silmarillion (and lotr in general) is one of my fave subjects, so I feel bad for neglecting it for so long :'D and I do have some half-finished stuff for it that I should get around to eventually...but yeah! I go through phases but my love for tolkien's world is forever 🫶

Have you ever drawn on paper before? And... What do you think about pen/pencil drawings?

yes, of course! I was an exclusively traditional artist for a long long time 😅 I do miss pencils sometimes--the texture, the control. I was a big fan of colored pencil for a while because you can get really neat details and such~

I've been a big fan since your Tolkien and Final Fantasy days! I don't even know much about COD, but I'm here for your beautiful art! Do you do art full time or on the side? How long do your lovely pieces usually take?

I *technically* do art full-time! Used to do commissions more, but now I'm focused on the patreon thing and selling prints. I still feel like that doesn't qualify as 'real work' because I don't like telling people that's what I do, but alas...

on average, a piece will take me 3-ish days. for more elaborate pieces, it can take up to and over a week, but I'm always working on stuff simultaneously so there's some overlap~

Since you're a womby wombat, does that mean you're also from down under?

nope! never been to Australia, but I'm certain if I did I would be torn to pieces by a crocodile in North Queensland 🐊💥

what's something you enjoy the most and least in the drawing process? your art is absolutely stunning and museum-worthy btw, i don't even know anything about cod but love seeing you draw those guys!!

the thing I enjoy drawing most--hair! it's fun because it feels like I'm styling it, plus the brushstrokes I do for hair are always the most fluid and forgiving

my least favorite part of the drawing process is probably the initial sketch, because I think it looks bad at first and then I start to doubt myself lol. there's always a certain amount of faith you have to have to push past this stage, and sometimes I don't have it
