#Repost @hotplatebeer New Year, new beer! Well, sort of. Today, we’re making another batch of an old favorite: Capable of Anything, our chamomile blonde ale. In the next few days, we’re going to be kicking off our growler share program for our new friends and neighbors, and we wanted one of our first batches to be one of Sarah’s signature recipes. Inspired by childhood memories of sipping tea with her grandmother, Capable of Anything is brewed with chamomile and lactose to give the beer a beautiful floral aroma and very smooth mouthfeel. Because this was one of Sarah’s first recipes, designed back when we were still brewing on a literal hot plate in our Brooklyn apartment, we borrowed the name for this beer from a favorite Ben Folds song while we were dreaming up this brewery that still seemed like a pipe dream that was so far away. And now we’re happy to say that 2022 will be the year that we open our doors (eventually), and get to officially welcome you all to Hot Plate Brewing Co.! Guinep Pilsner Time! So excited for this day. I finally get to make a beer with my most favorite fruit from back home in Colombier, SXM. I used to climb Kinnip trees and dream of being free to do whatever my heart desires. I took the tomboy oath in a Chenet tree to never let a boy/man stop me from my goals or tell me I can't do a thing. Putting this pilsner beer out will be the highest expression of goal achievement progress.
