if gender isn’t binary then why the FUCK would sexuality be binary???
#not trying to tell anyone who experiences exclusive attraction that what they’re experiencing isn’t real#but what i am saying is that if you experience an attraction that you consider to be outside of your label#it doesn’t have to mean anything about you#like you don’t have to change how you talk about yourself just because of a few instances#it took me being off twitter to come to this conclusion#but genuinely the idea that sexuality is inherently subtractive and not additive is just monumentally fucking stupid n gender essentialist#i am a gay man. i sometimes experience attraction to women#could i ever see myself in a relationship with a woman? i don’t think so#but does experiencing attraction to women make me inherently less gay? no#woman is a colonially defined arbitrary category and people who try to divide our community or doing the work of the fucking feds#*are doing#not typing that tag again <3
