wolstinien week 2024: day 1 holiday

Day 7 : Living together 🗝️ (and with the others Scions)

Sketch was made months ago for the Wolstinien Week (2023 🫣) but I didn’t color it until now * shame * It takes place during Endwalker when Estinien and Lady lived together for the first time. Estinien kept teasing Lady like he uses to do but they also got really closer together.

Day 5: Oath

It seemed such a frivolous request. Estinien had seen first hand -experienced firsthand- just how easily Kitali Moonblade could take care of herself. But if Aymeric had come to the conclusion that she would actually need his protection, he would not question it.

Wolstinien Week Day 1: Holiday

"So, one of my friends has a cottage in the Goblet and asked if we wanted a little holiday there. Just one or two nights."

"Aye, sounds good to me."

WolStinien Week Day 7: I love you

Their first "I love you" had come as a surprise. Estinien had been the one to say it first.

Alinea had been reading a book at the kitchen table and started reading aloud, without knowing it. Estinien loved when she got wholly absorbed in her reading and managed to sneak up behind her, wrapping his arms around her in a hug. He proceeded to try be sexy by leaning into her ear and whispering, but alas, he had some stubble, and both his chin and his hands had landed on Ali's ticklish areas. She tried to maintain an allured facade, but eventually broke down into a fit of giggles. 

Estinien looked at the woman in his arms, shook his head, and proceeded to tackle her to the sofa to continue his tickle assault. It was during this, while Alinea was trying to get her own tickle revenge on Estinien, that he looked up at her, smiled, and said those three words.

"I love you." 

They had never said them before, though every action and look had spoken it for a while. She smiled at him, and with no hesitation at all, said, "And I love you."

Kind of want to jump on to WolStinien week, but I am already running late, so here we go.

Day 1 - First Kiss

Excepting Haurchefant, most of Hazel's relationships tend to start off with Oblivious to Oblivious Communication. Just some real big "Lesbians who have been dating for months but don't realise it" energy.

Estinien is fiercely loyal, and surprisingly emotionally intelligent since the whole dragon possession thing, and after the events of "In from the cold," takes it upon himself to keep watch while Hazel speedruns his way through the resultant trauma in order to get back on his feet for the mission. A healthy approach, no - but there's simply no time.

Emotionally intelligent as he is when it comes to others, like as not Estinien does not think examine the desire he feels to protect Hazel - The Warrior of Light is powerful in his own right, but no one can stand by themselves indefinitely, and that seems as good enough justification as any.

In Estinien, Hazel finds a sense of trust and safety. The certainty that what ever may happen, this man will have his back. Beyond that, they're just good friends, right? Right.

Day 3: Alternate Universe for wolstinien week!

My non-wol J'alia AU where she ends up in Ishgard instead of pushed south to the Shroud after the Calamity.

She scrapes and fights and refuses to do anything but be apart of the Knights Dragoon. She makes it despite plenty of people trying to keep her out. She's known of the Azure Dragoon since she was a child, but it's only now that she meets the current one: Estinien. Estinien, who is in the midst of fighting to keep control of the Eye and debating taking it away to protect Ishgard as he feels Nidhogg's rancor rising.

It's basically yearning x1000 with a focus on Ishgard's military <3

WolStinien Week Day 5: Time Apart

Estinien loved working with the Radiant Host. They were eager to learn and Vrtra made sure he was compensated well. It wasn't always easy to spend most of the week away from Alinea, but they had a designated linkpearl just for the two of them and would often speak late into the evening. Alinea kept herself occupied in multiple ways, but her favorite was the girls' catch up meetings that they had put in place. It was wonderful to hear how her friends were doing and it made the ache of being away from them and Estinien much easier to bear.
